A Study on the Improvement of Warehouse Management System (WMS) in e-Trade

It has been said that Warehouse Management System(WMS) in e-Trade has considerably contributed to improvement of distribution industry. However, in the aspect of management we have many technical problems such as transportation due to tremendous demands of online data. Therefore, for Korea to be a hub of distribution and information, this is the best time to prepare the foundation of Supply Chain Management(SCM) under Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) the and make a good use of WMS. The purposes of this study are presented as follows: First, it is to examine the general flow process of WMS in each field of our e-Trade Second, it is to present problems and plans of improvements involved in WMS in e-Trade. In short, this study aims at presenting interpretative foundation of WMS in a practical viewpoint, not presenting technical directions of WMS.
A Design and Implementation of ALE-compliant RFID Middleware System

Nowadays, to realize ubiquitous computing environment, many research activities have been going on within various kinds of research domains including automatic identification sensor network, home network, telematics and so on. Especially, RFID middleware that supports the aggregation of RFID tag data, control and management, and the integration with legacy systems has recently gained a lot of attention. Meanwhile, EPCglobal defined an ALE(Application Level Events) standard specification, which exists between RFID readers and applications, and substitutes the previous systems called Savant. In the specification internal structures and implementation technologies of ALE are not mentioned and only external interfaces are defined. This approach easies the verification of standard compliance and inter-operability of the layer. In this paper, we present the design of ALE-compliant RFID middleware systems that process RFID tag data efficiently.
A Package Design for an RSS Feed Parser Implementation

The RSS is a document format for syndicate a document maded by a WebSite. A document that made and syndicated to fit for this format is called a RSS feed or a feed. This paper presents the design of package for an RSS feed parser that analyzes an RSS feed and saves its informations. according to the RSS specification. This paper establishes an RSS grammar and an automata recognizing that grammar. Based on the automata, we design a package for classes that recognize elements of an RSS feed.
The Development of a Toolkit for Constructing Virtual Instruments to Augment User Interactions in Virtual Environments

Virtual instruments are the mobile software designed to help users navigate, measure hidden environmental properties, or support various user interactions in a virtual environment. Over the past few years, we have developed several virtual instruments for educational virtual environments. However, the process of constructing virtual instruments is often difficult and time consuming because it requires the developers to understand not only the virtual reality systems but also mobile computing platforms. In this paper, we Int identify a few requirements for the development of virtual instruments. Then, we introduce the VIST (Virtual Instrument Scripting Toolkit), specifically designed for reducing the effort of designing virtual instruments. Finally, we will illustrate some applications of using VIST and then discuss the future research directions.
A Method for Providing of Intelligent Home Services based on Context Awareness

Ubiquitous services are high duality and differentiated services which are provided for users by recognizing the context of users and environmental conditions actively. In this case, context-aware middleware is one of the most important technologies required to implement the ubiquitous services. In this paper, we proposed a method for providing ubiquitous services in a specific user space effectively. That is, the design and implementation of intelligent home service middleware based on context awareness is discussed here. Context information from various sensors is gathered, and suitable services are inferred and provided to users by the middleware system.
A Study On Analysis of Interestingness for Web-pages

There has been increasing of using Internet shopping mall like an e-business, and it means that the analysis technique of appetence for webpase visitors logging into the case of analyzing the degree of concern and using them in the personalization has been absolutely advanced. For heavy web pages, it is impossible to use click-stream based analysis in analyzing interest for each area by what kind of information the visitors are interested in to. A web browser of a limited size has difficulty in expressing on a screen information about what they want, or what hey are looking for. Pagescrolling is used to overcome such a limitation in expression. In this study, a analyzing system of degree of concern for Webpage is presented, designed and implemented using page scrolling to track the position of the scroll bar and movements of the window cursor regularly within a window browser for real-time transfer to analyze user's interest by using information received from the analysis of the visual perception area of the web page.
A Deadlock Free Router Design for Network-on-Chip Architecture

Multiprocessor system on chip (MPSoC) platform has set a new innovative trend for the System on Chip (SoC) design. With the rapidly approaching billion transistors era, some of the main problem in deep sub-micron technologies characterized by gate lengths in the range of 60-90 nm will arise from non scalable wire delays, errors in signal integrity and un-synchronized communication. These problems may be addressed by the use of Network on Chip (NOC) architecture for future SoC. Most future SoCs will use network architecture and a packet based communication protocol for on chip communication. This paper presents an adaptive wormhole routing with proactive turn prohibition to guarantee deadlock free on chip communication for NOC architecture. It shows a simple muting architecture with five full-duplex, flit-wide communication channels. We provide simulation results for message latency and compare results with those of dimension ordered techniques operating at the same link rates.
Implementation of UHF Multi-band Multi-protocol u-ID Mobile Reader System

This paper implements a RFID multi-band multi-protocol reader platform, possible to select one of the UHF bands used in particular for distribution system in RFID, that is, from 860MHz to 960MHz, through programmable configuration. It also enables implemented platform in this paper to recognize many kinds of TAG protocol, such as EPC Class 1 GEN 1, Class 1 Gen2, ISO 18000-6A, B and C.
Design and Performance Evaluation of the BR-DBA Algorithm for GPON MAC Protocol

MAC protocol must be necessarily used because the GPON technology has Point-to-Multipoint structure as connecting an OLT with numerous ONUs. And DBA algorithm must be used to support various services too. There are a few researches in DBA algorithm of GPON, referring the DBA algorithm of BPON which has a waste of bandwidth and the fairness problem between T-CONTs. In this paper, we proposed the BR-DBA algorithm to be able to solve the problems of DBA algorithm on BPON and designed that. As a result of evaluating the performance of BR-DBA algorithm using the NS-2 network simulator, we confirm that the problems of DBA algorithm on BPON were solved and increasing the throughput over BR-DBA algorithm.
A Study on the Secure Prescription Transmission System using XML/DTD digital signature

We propose a prescription transmission system based on XML in his paper, and it is not to attach a former signature to only a XML document for encoding of XML/EDI, and it is construction, one with the prescription transmission system which is safer with what use a way to attach a digital signature to DTD. Design of a Elliptic Curve Crypto-Processor for Hand-Held Devices

The more improved the Internet and the information technology, the stronger cryptographic system is required which can satisfy the information security on the platform of personal hand-held devices or smart card system. This paper introduces a case study of designing an elliptic curve cryptographic processor of a high performance that can be suitably used in a wireless communicating device or in an embedded system. To design an efficient cryptographic system, we first analyzed the operation hierarchy of the elliptic curve cryptographic system and then implemented the system by adopting a serial cell multiplier and modified Euclid divider. Simulation result shows that the system was correctly designed and it can compute thousands of operations per a secdond.
A Study on the Evaluation Methodology for Information Security Level based on Test Scenarios

It need estimation model who is efficient and estimate correctly organization's information security level to achieve effectively organization's information security target. Also, estimate class information security level for this and need reformable estimation indicator or standard and estimation methodology of information security systems that application is possible should be studied in our country. Therefore many research centers including ISO are preparing the measuring and evaluating method for network duality. This study will represent an evaluating model for network security based on checklist. In addition, we propose ah measuring and evaluating method for network performance. The purpose of two studies is to present the evaluating procedure and method for measuring security of network on set workwill be identified and a measuring method and procedure will be proposed.
Web Service Method using WSDL Repository

Web service, the next generation of distributed computing, is a distributed solution that handles all businesses through standard techniques in the internet. Web service performs its function using web interface. The goal of this thesis is to reduce network overloading. to manage WSDL efficiently, and to provide convenience to service users by simplifying the web service procedure. Web service system proposed in this thesis is based on WSDL Repository that can include UDDI and store WSDL. WSDL Repository manages WSDL by file system and has UDDI Registry embedded within it. Because this system is based on WSDL Repository, Web service supplier must register WSDL when he registers services. Then, users can receive WSDL too when he searches for services.

Field emission displays (FED) are currently being explored as a potential flat panel display technology. Specifically, the optimization pf efficient bin emitting phosphors in the
system and influence of particle size of phosphors on the luminescent properties was studied. Under 254 nm excitation, Bi activated
phosphors showed a strong and relatively narrow blue omission band, peaking at about 420-450 nm. Especially 0.4 wt% Bi doped yttrium phosphors showed the maximum emission intensity which is almost three times as much as that of
phosphors. Finally, Ce doped
phosphors exhibited strong and broad blue emission band, centered at 390-420 nm and maximum emission intensity at the doping concentration of 0.02-0.03 mol.
Analysis of Dimension-Dependent Threshold Voltage Roll-off and DIBL for Nano Structure Double Gate FinFET

In this paper, the threshold voltage roll-off and drain induced barrier lowering(DIBL) have been analyzed for nano structure double gate FinFET. The analytical current model has been developed, including thermionic current and tunneling current models. The potential distribution by Poisson equation and carrier distribution by Maxwell-Boltzman statistics were used to calculate thermionic omission current, and WKB(Wentzel- Kramers-Brillouin) approximation to tunneling current. The threshold voltage roll-offs are obtained by simple adding two currents since two current is independent. The threshold voltage roll-off by this model are compared with those by two dimensional simulation and two values are good agreement. Since the tunneling current increases especially under channel length of 10nm, the threshold voltage roll-off and DIBL are very large. The channel and gate oxide thickness have to be fabricated as thin as possible to decrease this short channel effects, and this process has to be developed.
A Study on Architecture of Parallel Deblocking Filter for H.264/AVC

H.264/AVC is a new international standard for the compression of video images, in which a deblocking filter has been adopted to remove blocking artifacts. This paper proposes an efficient architecture of deblocking filter in H.264/AVC. By making good use of data dependence between neighboring
blocks, the memory size is reduced and the throughput of the deblocking filter processing is increased. Compared to the conventional deblocking filters, the proposed architecture enhances the performance of deblocking filter processing from 1.75 to 4.23 times. Hence the proposed architecture is able to perform real-time deblocking of high-resolution(

Study on the Low-Power Carrier Recovery for Digital Satellite Broadcasting Demodulator

In order to resolve problems with the phase error in QPSK demodulator of the digital satellite broadcasting systems, the demodulator requires carrier recovery loop which searches for the frequency and phase of the carrier. In this paper the complexity of implementation is reduced by the reduction into half of the number of the multiplier in Inter structure of the conventional carrier recovery loop, and as the drawback of NCO of the conventional carrier recovery loop wastes a amount of power for the structure of lookup table, We designed the structure of combinational logic without the lookup table. Salient Motion Information Detection Method Using Weighted Subtraction Image and Motion Vector

Moving object detection is very important for video surveillance in modern days. In special case, we can categorize motions into two types-salient and non-salient motion. In this paper, we first calculate temporal difference image for extract moving objects and adapt to dynamic environments and next, we also propose a new algorithm to detect salient motion information in complex environment by combining temporal difference image and binary block image which is calculated by motion vector using the newest MPEG-4 and EPZS, and it is very effective to detect objects in a complex environment that many various motions are mixed.
A Study on the Moving Object Tracking System Using Multi-feature Matching

Moving object tracking is very important in video surveillance system. This paper presents a method for tracking moving objects in an outdoor environment. To moving object tracking, first, after extract object that move yielding weight subtraction image and then use close operator to reduce the noise. And we track a object that move detected by matching the extracted multi-feature information. The proposed tracking technique can track moving object by multi-feature matching method so that exactly tracking the objects which are suddenly move or stop. The proposed tracking technique can be efficiently tracking the moving objects, because of combined with spatial position, shape and intensity informations.
Accurate Boundary detection Algorithm for The Faulty Inspection of Bump On Chip

Generally, a semiconductor chip measured with a few micro units is captured by line scan camera for higher inspection accuracy. However, the faulty inspection requires an exact boundary detection algorithm, because it is very sensitive to scan speed and lighting conditions. In this paper we propose boundary detection with subpixel edge detection in order to increase the accuracy of bump faulty detection on chips. The bump edge is detected by first derivative to four directions from bump center point and the exact edge positions are searched by the subpixel method. Also, the exact bump boundary to calculate the actual bump size is computed by LSM(Least Squares Method) to minimize errors since the bump size is varied such as bump protrusion, bump bridge, and bump discoloration. Experimental results exhibit that the proposed algorithm shows large improvement comparable to the other conventional boundary detection algorithms.
Implementation of the Fast XML Encoding System for Fast Web Services

Design and Estimation of Cordless Transmitter & Receiver for Measurement of Crane Moving Range

In this paper, the measurement system of crane moving range is concerned with range recognition technology using phase and magnitude of radio wave. By the proposed technology, we design the radio transmitter and receiver and realize the measurement system, and save the data in disk that is earned from 900Mhz RF signal, middle frequency 450khz of analog signal. As a result of RF measurement, we got 9.3 dBm of RF output and 96 dBc@10khz of phase noise. Range information is earned the data through digital signal processing of IF signal. For the estimation of range measured, we analyze the difference between real range and measurement range, and also suggest the method to remove the measurement error using average processing and amplitude properties. A result is 0.12 and 0.00422 deviation in l0mn-30m and within 5m respectively, and then 2.4E-04 deviation in 4m by using compensation of level characteristics lately.
Self-Directed Learning Assessment System Using Fuzzy Logic

The existing web-based self-directed learning systems are in short for the ability of learning skills assessment. Even worse, hey only give test scores as an indicate for test skills, which is also not a good measure for learning skills assessment and makes it difficult to assess learning skills objectively and to present clear assessment criterion. In this paper, we proposed an improved self-directed learning system using fuzzy logic, which can be controlled by learners themselves and helps to evaluate their on learning process. We also implemented the system on the written examination of Engineer Information Processing. The purposed system lust calculates membership functions of learning tine, learning frequency, testing time, and test score. Using them the final membership functions of learning and test skills are calculated and presented in a graphical, i.e. mon understandable, way to user. The purposed system helps learners to assess their achievement and to plan future schedule, and the survey result on the students used the system also supports that.
Training Algorithm of Recurrent Neural Network Using a Sigma Point for Equalization of Channels

A recurrent neural network has been frequently used in equalizing the channel for fast communication systems. The existing techniques, however, have mainly dealt with time-invariant chamois. The modern environments of communication systems such as mobile ones have the time-varying feature due to fading. In this paper, powerful decision feedback - recurrent neural network is used as channel equalizer for nonlinear and time-varying system, and two kinds of algorithms, such as extended Kalman filter (EKF) and sigma-point Kalman filter (SPKF), are proposed; EKF is for fast convergence and good tracing function, and SPKF for overcoming the problems which can be developed during the process of first linearization for nonlinear system EKF.
Multipath Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks Using Dual Channel Routers

In case of wireless sensor networks being applied to a target environment having continuous data transfer, high-speed data transmission and processing is necessary to meet increased bandwidth needs. This paper proposes a novel multipath routing algorithm to increase the bandwidth of continuous data stream for the wireless sensor network using dual channel routers. We evaluate performance of the proposed algorithm in the wireless sensor network using the dual channel touter based on ZigBee protocol. According to the experimental evaluation, the proposed algorithm showed outstanding performance enhancement with the bandwidth of 150kbps, which is about twice of existing single channel router.
A Delta-based Data Aggregation Scheme for Enhancing the Correctness of Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks

In a wireless sensor network, a middleware used to support efficient processing and fast delivering of sensing data should handle the data loss problem at an intermediate sensor node caused by unexpected sudden data burst. In his paper, it proposes a Delta-Average method for enhancing the efficiency of data aggregation and correctness where the sensed data should be delivered only with the limited computing power and energy resource. With the proposed method, unnecessary data transfer of the duplicate data is eliminated and data correctness is enhanced by using the proposed averaging and data differentiating scheme when an instantaneous data burst is occurred. Finally, with the TOSSTM simulation results on TinyDB, we verify that the correctness of the transferred data is enhanced.
Wireless Sensor Network for Wildfire Monitoring

The wireless sensor network is one of the most practical and cost-effective solutions for monitoring systems covering wild and wide area such as wildfire monitoring. However, the RF distance between sensor nodes is very short due to the need of low power consumption of the sensor node, so the number of sensor nodes to be deployed in the target area is more than tens of thousands. In this paper, we design and analyze the deployment issues as well as re-deployment problem occurred when the battery is exhausted. We also propose the needs and solutions for coverage problem in dynamic deployment. By the experimental evaluations, we analyze the packet success ratio between sensor nodes under various environments such as obstacles and variable distances.
