A Study of Convergence Application Service as in u-Gov

As the acceleration of digital convergence has been deepen and extended to convergence of human, things, and space, the various forms of convergence have been appeared and extended. This paper presents the aim of the system's change which embodies the collaborative electronic government of the application service, which applies the UIT as the changed feature from e-Gov to u-Gov and attains the administrative idea which the u-Gov pursues. It analyzes and applies the propulsive plan of the policies to u-Gov, which is resulted from the variation of the convergence community, and the feature of the UIT, and then it proposed the service model of the new u-Gov with circulation instance adumbration which applies the UIT as the objective realization means of the ultimate administration.
Comparisons between UPML and Liao's ABC in the FDTD method for 2D Cylindrical Coordinates

In this paper, the comparison between UPML and Liao's absorbing boundary condition in the FDTD(Finite-Difference Time-Domain) method was performed for the analysis of the 2D cylindrical coordinate system. Generally, it is known as the absorbing characteristics of the UPML is bro than Liao's absorbing boundary condition in the 2D rectangular coordinate. The simulation results in this paper showed that Liao's original absorbing boundary condition is better than other two absorbing boundary conditions, Liao's modified condition and UPML. We concluded that more numerical, theoretical studies, simulations and verifications for various absorbing boundary conditions will be needed to get more accurate results for the design of useful 2D cylindrical microwave circuits.
Tactile Sensing for Virtual Interaction as a Part of Ubiquitous Game Development

In order to design and develop a ubiquitous game, it is necessary to develop a natural and flexible interface between the real world and the virtual world, based on social and physical context awareness. We design user interface model and the tactile sensing system that performs virtual interaction and collection of the sensor data. It is sensitive so the collected data should be filtered, rearranged and analyzed. This information is quite different from stylus input, keyboard, button or mouse for interaction. We detect kicked 3D force position of a ball, moment of area, moment of inertia and modified ball shape using tactile sensing system and analyzed data. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach is desirable and robust as well as the results can be used realistic actions and reactions considering attack force and to make interesting environments for ubiquitous game.
Performance Evaluation according to MAP Inter-arrival Time for DOCSIS 3.0 based Cable Network

DOCSIS 3.0 protocol are proposed to support high-speed cable network DOCSIS 3.0 MAC protocol regulates CM and CMTS channel transfer times through MAP message. So MAP Inter-arrival time is primary factor of network performance. However, standards does not include the details of MAP Inter-arrival Time affecting the performance of MAC protocols for DOCSIS 3.0. In this paper, we evaluated the performance of DOCSIS 3.0 protocol follow in MAP Inter-arrival Time. Based on the evaluation results, we propose the optimal MAP Inter-arrival Time. We found that the protocol shows best performance when the MAP Inter-arrival Time is 0.05sec. The research results can apply to performance element which important for the construction of DOCSIS 3.0 base cable networks.

Currently, user require is diverse on the Web. Furthermore, each web user is wishing to retrieve data or goods that hey want to look for more conveniently and more quickly. Because different search criteria and dispositions of web users, they lead to unnecessary repeated operations in order to use implemented by web designer. In this paper, we suggest the system that analyzes user patterns on the Web using the technique of log file analysis and transfers more effectively the information of web sites to users. And we analyze the log file for customer data in the system the proposed method are implemented by means of EC-Miner that is one of the tool of datamining, and aims to offer appropriate Layout corresponding with personalization by giving weight to each transport path.
The Improvement of Fabrication Process for a-Si:H TFT's Yield

TFT's have been intensively researched for possible electronic and display applications. Through tremendous engineering and scientific efforts, a-Si:H TFT fabrication process was greatly improved. In this paper, the reason on defects occurring at a-Si:H TFT fabrication process is analyzed and solved, so a-Si:H TFT's yield is increased and reliability is improved. after depositing with gate electrode (Cr). We have fabricated a-SiN:H, conductor, etch-stopper and photo-resistor on gate electrode in sequence, respectively. We have deposited n+a-Si:H, NPR(Negative Photo Resister) layer after forming pattern of Cr gate electrode by etch-slower pattern. The NPR layer by inverting pattern of upper Sate electrode is patterned and the n+a-Si:H layer is etched by the NPR pattern. The NPR layer is removed. After Cr layer is deposited and patterned, the source-drain electrode is formed. The a-Si:H TFT made like this has problems at photo-lithography process caused by remains of PR. When sample is cleaned, this remains of PR makes thin chemical film on surface and damages device. Therefor, in order to improve this problem we added ashing process and cleaning process was enforced strictly. We can estimate that this method stabilizes fabrication process and makes to increase a-Si:H TFT's yield.
Design of CAVLC Decoder for H.264/AVC

Digital video compression technique has played an important role that enables efficient transmission and storage of multimedia data where bandwidth and storage space are limited. The new video coding standard, H.264/AVC, developed by Joint Video Team(JVT) significantly outperforms previous standards in compression performance. Especially, variable length code(VLC) plays a crucial pun in video and image compression applications. H.264/AVC standard adopted Context-based Adaptive Variable Length Coding(CAVLC) as the entropy coding method. CAVLC of H.264/AVC requires a large number of the memory accesses. This is a serious problem for applications such as DMB and video phone service because of the considerable amount of power that is consumed in accessing the memory. In order to overcome this problem in this paper, we propose a variable length technique that implements memory-free coeff_token, level, and run_before decoding based on arithmetic operations and using only 70% of the required memory at total_zero variable length decoding.

Image Restoration Based on Wavelet Packet Transform with AA Thresholding

The denoising for image restoration based on the Wavelet Packet Transform with AA(Absolute Average) making-threshold is presented. The wavelet packet transform leads to be better in the part of high frequency than wavelet transform to eliminate noise. And the existing threshold determination is used standard deviation estimated results in increasing the noise and threshold, and damaging an image quality. In addition that is decreased image restoration PSNR by using the same threshold in spite of changing image because of installing a threshold in proportion of noise size. In contrast the AA thresholding method with wavelet packet is adapted by changing image to set up threshold by statistic quantity of resolved image and is avoided an extreme impact. The results on the experiment has improved 10% and 5% over than the denoising based on simple wavelet transform and wavelet packet respectively.
A Fast Method for Face Detection Based on PCA and SVM

Human face detection technique plays an important role in computer vision area. It has lots of applications such as face recognition, video surveillance, human computer interface, face image database management, and querying image databases. In this paper, a fast face detection approach using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Support Vector Machines (SVM) is proposed based on the previous study on face detection technique. In the proposed detection system, firstly it filter the face potential area using statistical feature which is generated by analyzing the local histogram distribution the detection process is speeded up by eliminating most of the non-face area in this step. In the next step, PCA feature vectors are generated, and then detect whether there are faces present in the test image using SVM classifier. Finally, store the detection results and output the results on the test image. The test images in this paper are from CMU face database. The face and non-face samples are selected from the MIT data set. The experimental results indicate the proposed method has good performance for face detection.
A Real-time Vision Inspection System at a Laver Production Line

In this paper dose a laver surface check using a real time image process. This system does false retrieval of a laver at a laver production line. At first, a laver image was read in real time using a CCD camera. In this paper, we use an area scan CCD camera. Image is converted into a binary code image using a high-speed imaging process board afterwards. A laver feature is extracted by a binary code image. Surface false retrieval is finally executed using a laver feature. In this paper, we use an area feature of a laver image.
A study on the development of Gas-Vent Automatic Exchange Machine with Vision System

This paper describes two major techniques; image processing and gas vent insert and rejection control, for efficient gas vent exchange and holes detecting on the shoes mold. The key idea is to detect holes on the mold to select which holes to insert and to reject automatically guide center of hole's position. This allows us to save labor time while minimizing defective rate of PU shoes mold forming and production costs for gas vent exchange such as insertion and rejection.. Our experimental results have demonstrated that the hole's detection and gasvent exchange mechanism are more efficient and provide accurate mechanism to mitigate risks of vent injection/rejection failures.
Performance Analysis of ICI reduction in OFDM system

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is an emerging multi-carrier modulation scheme, which has been adopted for several wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11a and HiperLAN2. A well-known problem of OFDM is its sensitivity to frequency offset between the transmitted and received carrier frequencies. This frequency offset introduces inter-carrier interference (ICI) in the OFDM symbol. This paper investigates three methods for combating the effects of ICI: ICI self-cancellation (SC), maximum likelihood (ML) estimation, and extended Kalman filter (EKF) method. These three methods are compared in terms of bit error rate performance.
A Study on Wavelet Function for Improved Edge Detection Properties

Edge representing the boundary between two regions with the large briskness difference in mage includes diverse information about object. Therefore, this information has been utilized in fields such as image segmentation and object recognition. There are many kinds of edge according to duration time and the amplitude of brightness variation and edge is generally detected through the differential. Recently, in fields of image processing and computer vision, edge detection methods have been proposed to use in specific applications. Hence, in this paper the wavelet function for improved edge detection properties was proposed and detected line-edge components of images and its performance was proven through simulations.
Container Identifier Recognition Using Morphological Features and FCM-Based Fuzzy RBF Network

In this paper, we proposed a container identifier recognition method for containers used in harbors. After converting a real container image to a gray image, edges are detected from the gray image applying Prewitt mask and candidate identifier area is extracted using morphological features of individual identifier for identifying containers. Because noises are included in the extracted candidate identifier area, noises are eliminated and each identifier is separated using 4-directional edge tracking algorithm and Grassfire algorithm. Each identifier in the noise-free candidate identifier area is recognized using FCM-based row RBF network for discriminating containers. We used 300 real container images for experiment to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, and we could verify the proposed method is better than a conventional method.
Recognition of Music using Backpropagation Network

This paper presents techniques to recognize music using back propagation network one of the neural network algorithms, and to preprocess technique for music mage. Music symbols and music notes are segmented by preprocessing such as binarization, slope correction, staff line removing, etc. Segmented music symbols and music notes are recognized by music note recognizing network and non-music note recognizing network. We proved correctness of proposed music recognition algorithm though experiments and analysis with various kind of musics.

In this paper, we consider one of robust control system, fuzzy PI+fuzzy D controller dealing with noise, load, changed parameters of plant. We apply PI+D controller with a design for output of differential function and, we plan fuzzy controller with input for PID parameter of PI+D controller so We design control system meet with the change of environment with robust in relation to change of parameter. Fuzzy control is possessed of easy 4 rules and membership function and We design fuzzy PI+fuzzy D controller. Plant of this paper make a choice of 3 phase induction motor.
Sensor Data Processing System using Sensor Service Description Language

As ubiquitous environment rapidly emerges due to the development of network and information communication technology, ubiquitous computing is being noticed as a technology that will take the lead in information technology industry of the future. To the end, the data recognized from each sensors, collected and processed need be transferred to applied service so that they may be used as data for providing sum to users. However, in reality as the definitions of metadata and platform for each sensor are not clear, approach from applied service for data use is difficult and there are limitations in transferring sensor measurement data of the applied service because of the difference of platform and protocol. In this paper, we designed sensor service technology language that expresses sensor and measurement data and describes the service though sensor data service. Also the researcher implemented a sensor data processing system that transfers sensor data to the applied service by using web service. The thesis will apply a reference model for standardization to guarantee mutual compatibility in exchanging sensor data through the system.
An Error Recovery Mechanism for Communications with Reliability and Transport Control for Media Access in Sensor Network

In sensor network, the importance of transporting data with reliability is growing gradually to support communications. Data flow from sink to nodes needs reliability for the control or management, that is very sensitive and intolerable, however relatively, data flow from nodes to sink is tolerable. In this paper, with emphasis of the data flow from sink to nodes, we proposed the mechanism that establishes confidence interval for transport. Establishing confidence interval herby-hop, not end to end, if errors happen or there's missing data, this mechanism recovers them with selective acknowledgement using fixed window. In addition, this mechanism supports franc congestion control depending on the buffer condition. Through the simulation, we showed that this mechanism has an excellent performance for error recovery in sensor network.
RSSI based Intelligent Indoor Location Estimation Robot using Wireless Sensor Network technology

This paper describes indoor location estimation intelligent robot. Indoor location estimation function using RSSI based indoor location estimation system and wireless sensor networks were implemented in the robot. Spartan III(Xilinx, U.S.A.) was used as a main control device in the mobile robot and the current direction data was collected in the indoor location estimation system. The data was transferred to the wireless sensor network node attached to the mobile robot through Zigbee/IEEE 802.15.4, a wireless communication. After receiving it, with the data of magnetic compass the node is aware of and senses the direction the robot head for and the robot moves to its destination. Indoor location estimation intelligent robot is can be moved efficiently and actively without obstacle on flat ground to the appointment position by user.
Adjusting Cluster Size for Alleviating Network Lifetime in Wireless Sensor Network

In this paper, we propose an algorithm that improve network lifetime by adjusting cluster size according to location information of sensor node in wireless sensor network (WSN) using clustering algorithm. The collected sensing information by sensor nodes in each cluster are transferred to sink node using inter-cluster communications method. Cluster head (CH) that located nearby sink node spend much more energy than those of far from sink node, because nearer CH forwards more data, so network lifetime has a tendency to decrease. Proposed algorithm minimizes energy consumption in adjacent cluster to sink node by decreasing cluster size, and improve CH lifetime by distributing transmission paths. As a result of mathematical analysis, the proposed algorithm shows longer network lifetime in WSN.
Real-time Water Supply Facilities Monitoring System based on the USN

This paper has researched water supply facilities management using real-time water utility monitoring system based on USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) which is consisted of wireless sensors transferring waterworks facilities md treatment information about a valve-room and flowmeter-room of water supply installation. In the manholes, it was installed with flowmeter, pressure sensors, vibration sensors, Co-sensors, and hydro-thermograph sensors. These measurement values which are received by PDA are used for facilities operation on the spot safely and conveniently. It has also provided safe installation management via CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) network which transfers data to remote servers to monitoring at a distance place. With safety management system of water supply facilities on USN technology convenience and safety is increased in real situation, and it is expected that we can supply clean water to people as much safer and more effective water supply installation management.
A study on Inference Network Based on the Resilient Ontology-based Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol

Ad-hoc network is soft wireless communication network that is consisted of mobile node and clusters without helping of infrastructure. We propose a new ad hoc multicast routing protocol for based on the ontology scheme called inference network. Ontology knowledge-based is one of the structure of context-aware. Proposed structure is consisted of context awareness parameters as like distance between each nodes. The proposed architecture performs two types of routing discovery. One is Flooding Discovery Routing(FDR) for comparing analysis step and Local Discovery Routing(LDR) to compose path of node forecast(preservation) step from node's state value. The inference network structure of proposed RODMRP(Resilient Ontology-based Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol) adopts a tree structure to enhance an efficient packet in various environment between mobile node. We will have developed an algorithm that will desist multi-hierarchy Layered networks to simulate a desired system.

I collected the characteristics of multiple intelligence in information gifted students and mathematics gifted students through questionnaires. I studied how much corelation they have and possibilities of combining training in "information and mathematics".
The Education Program Model for the Thinking Extension Ability of the Gifted in Information Based on Game Tree

In this paper, we develop the thinking extension education program for the gifted students of information and prove the validity and effectiveness of the proposed model by presenting the Tic-tac-toe problem as the practical example of the information-gifted students. This model consists of four phases which has the game tree as data structure and the search of game lee as control structure. And the search of game tree becomes the basis of the thinking extension education program. This model gives the help for students to learn representing the problem as tree structure and solving the problem of tree structure using the search method of game tree. The internal ability of the information-gifted for thinking extension of this education program contains the fluency, perceptiveness, originality, power of concentration, imaginative power, analyzing skills, pattern recognition, space sense, synthesizing, problem-solving.
