A Study on the Role of u-Gov according to Convergence Evolution

Convergence being process varietly and quickly, with complex products and services based on digital technology and with start its creating new form of products and service, influenced to diversity of consumers need, and social trend. Thus, in this paper, convergence it presents the application instance according to variation of the convergence commit, and observed the advantage which is the possibility of appearing from here, it has the necessity of the effect and the policy preparatio, appearing on it try the electronic government of domestic convergence with role of the u-Gov due to an evolution with convergence, for it attains the administrative idea which u-Gov pursues. And by convergence analysis of issue, hereafter it presented a policy propulsion direction of convergence.
A Study on the Characteristics of Microstrip Patch Antenna with Frequency Selective Surface with Fractal Slot

In this study, FSS(Frequency Selective Surface) with Koch Fractal Curve slot is positioned on the conventional single layer microstrip patch antenna. Numerical results of the proposed antenna bandwidth and the antenna gain are increased compared with those of the conventional single layer microstrip patch antenna. In the future, the fractal geometry of the slot in FSS(Frequency Selective Surface) as a supplementary microstrip patch is researched for the enhancement of the microstrip patch antenna characteristics.
System Phase Noise Spectrum of the Transmission and Receiving System for COMS Sensor Data

The system phase noise spectrum distribution for COMS sensor data transmitter and receiver system was proposed in this paper. On the basis of the analyzed design parameter to reduce the phase noise effect in a receiver, the optimal system phase noise were proposed for raw, IRIT and HRIT data transmission that are sensor data, respectively. The proposed system phase noise provides the qualified transmission performance of sensor data and reduces the performance degradation due to phase noise generating in the transmission channel. Also the system phase noise spectrums are utilized in the design of frequency generation source for sensor data transmission and receiver system.
Digital Watermarking Using Subband Characteristics and Perceptual Weights of Wavelet Transform Image

Watermark insertion methods on low frequency subbands in wavelet transform image are robust in attacks, but become reduction of invisibility. And watermark insertion methods on high frequency subbands have a good visibility, but are weak in attack. In this paper, we propose the method that improve invisibility and robustness of watermarks according as we adaptively control insertion intensity by using subband characteristics and perceptual weights. Analysis of CGH and Watermarking Method using Global 2DDCT

In this paper, we propose a digital watermarking algorithm for digital hologram generated by computer generated hologram(CGH) method. Digital hologram generated by a computer calculation(CGH) is one of the most expensive contents and its usage is being expanded. Thus, it is highly necessary to protect the ownership of digital hologram. In this paper two digital watermarking schemes are introduced hologram-domain and global 2DDCT-domain scheme. Proposed watermarking scheme showed very high imperceptibility and quite high robustness against the attacks. The purpose of this paper is to introduce these global 2DDCT based watermarking schemes. Thus, we expect that these and the contents in this paper can be very useful bases for the further digital watermarking schemes of the digital holograms.

With the rapid spread of smart mobile products and practical use of wireless network, it became possible to offer the computing environment people can use anytime anywhere and it is predicted that portable computer as the next generation computing is to be put to practical use. This computer will be expected to have the new interface which provides realistic service through human's five senses as well as the interface through the visual and auditory senses. Accordingly, in this study, we are going to talk about the technology that expresses and reproduces what is based on olfactory information - closely related with memory among honan's five senses - in order to embody the lifelike user interface.
An Equalization Technique for OFDM Systems in Time Variant Channels

An equalization technique for OFDM systems in tine variant fading environment is described. Time variant channels lead to interchannel interference which increases the bit mr rate. A frequency domain equalizer using pilot symbols is proposed. The equalizer decreases the interchannel interference affecting the error performance. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is analyzed via computer simulation.
FImplementation of RF Controller based on Digital System for TRS Repeater

In this paper, we implemented high-performance concurrent control system which manages whole RF systems with digital type and communicates with remote station on both wire and wireless networking. It consists of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) part which controls forward/reverse LPA (Linear Power Amplifier), forward/reverse LNA (Low Noise Amplifier), channel cut wire/wireless TCP/IP, etc, master microprocessor (AVR), which manages the whole control system, Slave microprocessor which communicates SA (Spectrum Analyzer) and observes frequency spectrum of each channel with the resolution of 5KHz, 10 channel card microprocessor which independently observes each channel card and sets frequency synthesizer in channel cut and other peripherals and logics. The whole system is divided to two parts of H/W (hardware) and S/W (software) considering operational efficiency and concurrency, and implementation and cost. H/W consists of FPGA and microprocessor. We expected the optimized operation through H/W and SW co-design and hybrid H/W architecture.
Implementation and Performance Evaluation of B-ISDN Protocol embedded IP-PBX System for Multimedia Communication

In this paper we researched on the implementation of the B-ISDN protocol embedded IP-PBX System with the computers interconnected by the Internet for the telephone exchange and multimedia communication. For the improvement on the structural problems of the previous PABX we designed the structure of the IP-PBX System, defined message and data structure for call control, designed call control state transition, and implemented call control message flows for user's communication.
Development of ePosition Application Technology Based on ENC Data

ePosition is a technology that can provide the spacial position of the earth to the information of ePosition ID through the Internet. It is serving the information of land location based on the Internet using the ePosition technology now, but it needs the service technique which can supply the marine data and the information of maritime position. Moreover, to support the information service of marine position, it needs the ENC linked technique based on S-57 that is an IHO transfer standard for digital hydrographic data. In this paper, therefore, it develops a linkage method for applying and utilizing the ePosition technology to ENC data, and supplements the base technology for applying it to marine related fields. As study method, firstly, this paper analyses ENC data model and structure, and converses for processing ENC file to ePosition data. Lastly, it derives the interconnection method with ePosition database and shows the ePosition service application based on the linked data and its validity.

Recently, due to the popularity and explosive growth of the Internet, the information exchange is increasing so rapidly over the Internet. Also the XML is becoming a standard as well as a major tool of data exchange on the Internet and thus we propose the new indexing technique for evaluating a path-oriented query and design and implementation of Path-oriented Query Processing System to give useful for users. In proposed indexing technique, which combined a binary trio structure with a path signature file to improve performance of XML document retrieval.

TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem) is a problem finding out the shortest distance out of many courses where given cities of the number of N, one starts a certain city and turns back to a starting city, visiting every city only once. As the number of cities having visited increases, the calculation rate increases geometrically. This problem makes TSP classified in NP-Hard Problem and genetic algorithm is used representatively. To obtain a better result in TSP, various operators have been developed and studied. This paper suggests new method of population initialization and of sequential transformation, and then proves the improvement of capability by comparing them with existing methods.
The Design and Implementation of the Lamp Facility Management System based on Sensors

To effectively manage lamp facilities on a remote place, it is required to identify a status of the places where the lamp facilities are placed. however, since there is no methods to notify the status of sensors to the central management system based on the non-networked sensor environments, it is difficult to manage the lamp facilities remotely. In this paper, we propose the lamp facility management system to acquire the various status informations of lamp facilities using more than two sensors. To get the status remotely, the system exploits a wireless network based on the ZigBee. The benefit of this system is to help the efficient dicision makings of administrators.
A Design of AES-based Key Wrap/Unwrap Core for WiBro Security

This paper describes an efficient hardware design of key wrap/unwrap algorithm for security layer of WiBro system. The key wrap/unwrap core (WB_KeyWuW) is based on AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm, and performs encryption/decryption of 128bit TEK (Traffic Encryption Key) with 128bit KEK (Key Encryption Key). In order to achieve m area-efficient implementation, two design techniques are considered; First, round transformation block within AES core is designed using a shared structure for encryption/decryption. Secondly, SubByte/InvSubByte blocks that require the largest hardware in AES core are implemented by using field transformation technique. As a result, the gate count of the WB_KeyWuW core is reduced by about 25% compared with conventional LUT (Lookup Table)-based design. The WB_KeyWuW con designed in Verilog-HDL has about 14,300 gates, and the estimated throughput is about
at 100-MHz@3.3V, thus the designed core can be used as an IP for the hardware design of WiBro security system.
Optical flow of heart images by image-flow conservation equation and functional expansion

The displacement field (Optical flow) has been calculated by bottom-up approaches based on local processing. In contrast with them, in this paper, a top-down approach based on expanding in turn from the lowest order mode the whole motion in an image pair of sequential images is proposed. The intensity of medical images usually represents a quantity which is conserved during the motion. Hence sequential images are ideally related by a coordinate transformation. The displacement field can be determined from the generalized moments of the two images. The equations which transform arbitrary generalized moments from a source image to a target image are expressed as a function of the displacement field. The appareent displacement field is then computed iteratively by a projection method which utilizes the functional derivatives of the linearized moment equations. This method is demonstrated using a pair of sequential heart images. For comparative evaluation, we applied Horn and Schunck's method, a standard multigrid method, and our proposed algorithm to sequential image.
Dynamic Training Algorithm for Hand Gesture Recognition System

We developed an augmented new reality tool for vision-based hand gesture recognition in a camera-projector system. Our recognition method uses modified Fourier descriptors for the classification of static hand gestures. Hand segmentation is based on a background subtraction method, which is improved to handle background changes. Most of the recognition methods are trained and tested by the same service-person, and training phase occurs only preceding the interaction. However, there are numerous situations when several untrained users would like to use gestures for the interaction. In our new practical approach the correction of faulty detected gestures is done during the recognition itself. Our main result is the quick on-line adaptation to the gestures of a new user to achieve user-independent gesture recognition.
A Study on a Design of the Optical Transceiver Channel Unit

Nowaday, the wideband multimedia service, high speed and great capacity internet service etc. are increasing, so the network construction with the base of optical subscriber network is necessary. One time password key exchange Authentication technique based on MANET

This paper suggests One-time Password key exchange authentication technique for a strong authentication based on MANET and through identify wireless environment security vulnerabilities, analyzes current authentication techniques. The suggested authentication technique consists of 3 steps: Routing, Registration, and Running. The Routing step sets a safe route using AODV protocol. The Registration and Running step apply the One-time password S/key and the DH-EKE based on the password, for source node authentication. In setting the Session key for safe packet transmission and data encryption, the suggested authentication technique encrypts message as H(pwd) verifiers, performs key exchange and utilizes One time password for the password possession verification and the efficiency enhancement. EKE sets end to end session key using the DH-EKE in which it expounds the identifier to hash function with the modula exponent. A safe session key exchange is possible through encryption of the H(pwd) verifier. The suggested authentication technique requires exponentiation and is applicable in the wireless network environment because it transmits data at a time for key sharing, which proves it is a strong and reliable authentication technique based on the complete MANET.
A Modified Adaptive Switching Median Filter for Image Restoration

A modified adaptive switching median filter for impulse noise removal, which has the noise detection step and the noise filtering step, is proposed in this paper. In the noise detection step, we use the detection threshold which is earned by calculating the intensity differences between pixels nearby with each other in localized window, to determine whether the pixels in the image are noise or not. Then in the noise filtering step, we will only remove the corrupted pixels and remain the good pixels. By the noise detection result, we can easily get the local noise density of the image, and use it to consider the filtering mask size and the times of filtering iteration according to different localized noise corruptions. For Setting the simulation result, we compared the proposed method to conventional median filters with several test images corrupted by various impulse noise densities. We also use the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) to evaluate restoration performance, the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method shows better results than other median-based type filters.
Container Image Recognition using Fuzzy-based Noise Removal Method and ART2-based Self-Organizing Supervised Learning Algorithm

This paper proposed an automatic recognition system of shipping container identifiers using fuzzy-based noise removal method and ART2-based self-organizing supervised learning algorithm. Generally, identifiers of a shipping container have a feature that the color of characters is blacker white. Considering such a feature, in a container image, all areas excepting areas with black or white colors are regarded as noises, and areas of identifiers and noises are discriminated by using a fuzzy-based noise detection method. Areas of identifiers are extracted by applying the edge detection by Sobel masking operation and the vertical and horizontal block extraction in turn to the noise-removed image. Extracted areas are binarized by using the iteration binarization algorithm, and individual identifiers are extracted by applying 8-directional contour tacking method. This paper proposed an ART2-based self-organizing supervised learning algorithm for the identifier recognition, which improves the performance of learning by applying generalized delta learning and Delta-bar-Delta algorithm. Experiments using real images of shipping containers showed that the proposed identifier extraction method and the ART2-based self-organizing supervised learning algorithm are more improved compared with the methods previously proposed.
An Enhanced Fuzzy Single Layer Perceptron With Linear Activation Function

Even if the linearly separable patterns can be classified by the conventional single layer perceptron, the non-linear problems such as XOR can not be classified by it. A fuzzy single layer perceptron can solve the conventional XOR problems by applying fuzzy membership functions. However, in the fuzzy single layer perception, there are a couple disadvantages which are a decision boundary is sometimes vibrating and a convergence may be extremely lowered according to the scopes of the initial values and learning rates. In this paper, for these reasons, we proposed an enhanced fuzzy single layer perceptron algorithm that can prevent from vibration the decision boundary by introducing a bias term and can also reduce the learn time by applying the modified delta rule which include the learning rates and the momentum concept and applying the new linear activation function. Consequently, the simulation results of the XOR and pattern classification problems presented that the proposed method provided the shorter learning time and better convergence than the conventional fuzzy single layer perceptron.
Hybrid MAC(HMAC) Protocol Considering Throughput in Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper we propose a Hybrid MAC(HMAC) to enhance the transmission throughput in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs). In the proposed HMAC, sender nodes send transmission request packets to the receiver nodes using CSMA/CA MAC protocol. And the receiver node assigns slots according to the network topology and the amount of traffics using TDMA. Using HMAC we get the enhanced throughput by lowering the duplicated slot assignment.
A Model and Practical Example of the Thinking Extension Education Program for the Elementary Information-Gifted Students Using the Trees

The core part of education program of the gifted students in information is the thinking ability extension of the programming. We propose four phases of the education model : (1) problem understanding (2) visualization (3) symbolization (4) algorithmization. This model of four phases is applied to learn the abstract concept of recursion using the data structure of Tree. This model is verified by presenting the example of 'Hanoi Tower' to stimulate intellectual curiosity of the students and help to expand their thinking strength. Also, we show the characteristics of which the teaching subjects and learning activities have, by presenting and clarifying the type of education program, properties of the learning contents, and lower level components. The students can deepen and foster the growth of the learning contents by the students' activities of self-evaluation, and their thinking abilities are increased by the guidances of their teachers.
Ubiquitous Campus Model for Students Oriented

University environment on campus has been changed faster than before in today. Especially, they have devised middle & long-term development plans such as improving the image of campus and increasing campus competitive power to overcome difficulties in campus management. Therefore, many of those have made every effort to provide convenient university services for campus students and to improve the image of campus through building a Ubiquitous-Campus. But existing systems of a Ubiquitous-Campus have not understood actual conditions of IT (Information Technology) for campus students or not provided basic environment to analyze actual conditions of efficient using the system, expectations of the following people about a Ubiquitous-Campus is getting higher md higher though. Must become technology base ubiquitous campus construction, and is real erudition that ubiquitous campus model who can utilize substantially through service construction that is required newly with student's IT infra practical use analysis hereupon such as is required to solve these problems, But there is a limitation on designing the model in rapidly changed university environment on campus. In this paper, we studied about a Students Centralized Ubiquitous Campus model through U-Learning, U-Recruit, U-Printer, and personal information history service which are based on data warehouse for students analysis which is a key point element of building a Ubiquitous Campus.
