Reasonability of Logistic Curve on S/W

The Logistic cone is studied as a most desirable for the software testing effort. Assuming that the error detection rate to the amount of testing effort spent during the testing phase is proportional to the current error content, a software-reliability growth model is formulated by a nonhomogeneous Poisson process. Using this model the method of data analysis for software reliability measurement is developed. After defining a software reliability, This paper discusses the relations between testing time and reliability and between duration following failure fixing and reliability are studied SRGM in several literatures has used the exponential curve, Railleigh curve or Weibull cure as an amount of testing effort during software testing phase. However, it might not be appropriate to represent the consumption curve for testing effort by one of already proposed curves in some software development environments. Therefore, this paper shows that a logistic testing- effort function can be adequately expressed as a software development/testing effort curve and that it gives a good predictive capability based on real failure data.
A Study on the ManiFestation Consolidation System(MFCS) of e-Trade

The Manifestation Consolidation System(MFCS) has made a peat contribution to effective improvement of distribution industry. To save distribution expenses and the time needed to record reports, more simplified system is being used for which overlapped or unnecessary transmitted items in taking care of goods are decreased. To become a center of Asian distribution information, our country has to prepare for the base of the MFCS and use it effectively Therefore, for an effective management of the MFCS, this study examines a procedure that takes care of goods in the MFCS, presents a future-model of the MFCS, and analyses classification of tasks relating to export and import and titles of electronic documents. In conclusion, this study aims at presenting an interpretative base of the MFCS in a practical viewpoint rather than presenting its technical direction.
High-Performance Millimeter Wave Harmonic Output Oscillator using Sub-Harmonic Wave Injection-Synchronization

This paper deals with a millimeter wave source which is utilizing sub-harmonic injection-synchronization technique. A 8.7GHz oscillator with MES-FET is fabricated, and is driven as a harmonic output oscillator at 17.4GHz by means of sub-harmonic injection-synchronization. The oscillator operates as a multiplier as well as oscillator in this system. Adopting this technique, we can obtain a high stable, high frequency millimeter wave source even though self-oscillating frequency of an oscillator is relatively low. In the experiments, the range of injection-synchronization is about 26MHz and is proportional to the input sub-harmonic power. From the spectrum analysis of the 2nd harmonic output. we blow that the phase noise of the harmonic oscillator is remarkably decreased.
Transmission and Reflection Characteristics Measurements at the 60GHz for the Various Obstacles

This paper presents the reflection and transmission measurements conducted at the 60GHz suitable to provide a high speed wide band service. Mean received power and standard deviation are calculated and used to compare the characteristics of radio wave propagation to the various obstacles between transmitting and receiving antennas at the frequency. The results show that the transmitted signal strength by the steel door and copper plate are about 40dB lower than in free space, those by the rubber plate, glass and styroform are about 3dB lower than in free space. Also, the re(looted signal strengths at the 60 degree grazing angle show that in case by the partition is about 23dB lower, by the surface of a wall is about 6dB lower than by the copper plate. The presented results can be used for the design of 60 GHz picocell communication network that the reflected and transmitted waves affect to the service area.
Design and Implementation of an Analog Predistorter for M/W Repeaters

The probability of an oscillation occurrence in M/W frequency conversion repeaters is low on account of the different operating frequency of the input and output signals. The probability of interference caused by the M/W frequency conversion repeaters to other systems is also low because the systems are used in the line-of-sight. Therefore M/W frequency conversion repeaters are generally used for retransmitting the signal received from base station to the islands. This paper describes the design and implementation of analog predistorter for M/W frequency conversion repeaters in mobile communications. The M/W repeaters convert IF frequency of 1010+/-10MHz to RF frequency of 11GHz. A predistorter can be designed for the M/W repeater operating in either IF or M/W frequency. In this paper IF predistorter operated in 1010MHz is designed and implemented because a M/W predistorter operated in 11GHz is difficult to implement. The IF predistorter can linearize RF modules in the repeater followed by IF stages. The performance test results show that the implemented analog predistorter improves ACPR of 10dB at the output power of 25dBm with the signal frequency of 10.805GHz.

A Study on the Design of Personalized Virtual Reality Tour Guide System

In this paper, we present the Mont-Saint-Michel virtual reality system designed to create the virtual heritage environment, which is enriched with personalized tour guide service. The tour guide system allows users to travel in the virtual heritage site and get more information about the sites or items of user's interests. It also allows users to make their own tour guidebook with the pictures they have taken during the virtual tour and more detail descriptions from the tour guide database. It then generates the web-based tour guidebook for users to utilize it for the actual site visit or share it with others over the Internet. The components of this system are designed with the consideration of reusability to be used for other interactive tour guide systems. This paper describes the motivation the development and a preliminary user study of Mont-Saint-Michel virtual reality personalized tour guide system.
The 3-Dimensional Visualization in Shared-Memory Programs with Nested Parallelism

In this paper, proposes 3-D visualization engines which provide global structure of the arranging in a parallel program with nested parallelism which is complicated to the user. The visualization engine which is proposed provides global structure to the user as program easily to understand, it provides an effective debugging environment.
Virtual Lecture Contents for Digital Logic Circuit Using Multimedia

In this paper, we developed an virtual lecture to study digital logic circuits. The contents is intended fer the students without or with little knowledge about electrics or electronics. For the beginners, the lecture contains the basic electronics and basic circuit theory as well as the degital logic circuits to be more practical lecture. And we developed the virtual circuit lab which uses real-like devices, circuits and interactive objects for the students to experience practical digital circuits. With the features described above, this contents would be useful for the beginners who want to studying digital logic circuits.
Design of an Efficient MAC Unit for RSA Cryptoprocessors

RSA crypto-processors equipped with more than 1024 bits of key space handle the entire key stream in units of blocks. The RSA processor which will be the target design in this paper defines the length of the basic word as 128 bits, and uses an 256-bits register as the accumulator. For efficient execution of 128-bit multiplication, 32b
32b multiplier was designed and adopted and the results are stored in 8 separate 128-bit registers according to the status flag. In this paper, an efficient method to execute 128-bit MAC (multiplication and accumulation) operation is proposed. The suggested method pre-analyze the all possible cases so that the MAC unit can remove unnecessary calculations to speed up the execution. The proposed architecture prototype of the MAC unit was automatically synthesized, and successfully operated at 20MHz, which will be the operation frequency in the target RSA processor.
New Mobile Originated Protocol for Privacy Protection in Mobile Communication Environments

A Study on the Spread of Internet Worms by Internet Environments

Fast spreading Internet worms, such as Code Red and Slammer, have become one of the new major throne of the Internet recently. In order to defend against theses worms, it is essential to understand how Internet worms propagate and how different Internet factors affect worm spreading. In this paper, we intend to describe the spread of worms on Internet environments accurately. Therefore we model and analyze the spreading effects by various simulations considering Internet addressing and speed. The results lead to a better prediction of the worm spreading on current and future Internet environments.
Management of Electronic Navigational Charts Using XML Database

Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) are digital charts encoded in S-57 format, which contain navigational informations such as coastlines, depth areas, and nautical marks. Although they have been successfully used for the safe navigation of ships, they have limited usages and applications because of their specialized data format and access systems. To cope with such drawbacks, S-57 ENCs need to be transformed into more generalized format such as Geography Markup Language (GML). The transformed GML ENCs can be kept in a database for efficiency, and can be accessed through Internet for usability. This paper proposes a new method for transforming and managing ENCs with XML database. S-57 ENCs are lust transformed into GML format, and then stored in a XML database. On the database, users can query for their needs. To validate the feasibility of the proposed method, we developed a protype system, and then conducted several test runs. The system can provide users with easy access to the marine information contained in ENCs. It also provides compatibility and efficiency by virtue of GML and XML database, respectively.
A Location Recognition System of RFID Tag for Parking Control

Recently route guiding system using GPS is spread widely. In the parking management system of complex mall, RFID is mainly used to control status of parking lots. However, in a case that a vehicle only with RFID tag enters into small market-populated district with service of parking lots, there is no parking route guiding system optimized with information of real tine status of parking lots and the system only with GPS can't provide a function of using real time status of parking lots. This paper proposes a location recognizing method of RFID tag object for parking control system to integrated several parking lots in the business district and database-linked route guiding system optimized for parking. The proposed location recognizing method makes the search of optimized parking route possible by abstracting decoding order of tag and antenna number and recognizing direction of tag linked with database. Ihe implemented system that is composed of RFID tag, reader, middleware, server, parking lot clients and mobile clients shows that the proposed method works well and it will be useful for integrated parking control system.
A method for improving wear-leveling of flash file systems in workload of access locality

Since flash memory cannot be overwritten, new data are updated in new area. If data are frequently updated, garbage collection which is achieved by erasing blocks, should be performed to reclaim new area. Hence, because the count of erase operations is limited due to characteristics of flash memory, every block should be evenly written and erased. However, if data with access locality are processed by cost benefit algorithm with separation of hot block ad cold block though the performance of processing is hight wear-leveling is not even. In this paper, we propose CB-MB (Cost Benefit between Multi Bank) algorithm in which hot data are allocated in one bank and cold data in another bank, and in which role of hot bank and cold bank is exchanged every period. CB-MB shows that its performance is 30% better than cost benefit algorithm with separation of cold block and hot block its wear-leveling is about a third of that in standard deviation.
Series Resonant Type Sustain Driver for PDP Driving

This paper presents a new sustain driver employing energy recovery function to minimize power losses transpired during the operation of plasma display panel. The proposed circuit uses the resonance between the equivalent capacitance of panel and an external inductor to provide/recover energy to/from the panel. The proposed circuit can save the system cost compared with the conventional one, and has high-performance in energy recovery. To verify the validity of the proposed circuit, we implemented experiments based on 7.5 inch AC-PDP.
Direct Torque Control of Squirrel Cage Typed Induction Motor Using Fuzzy Controller

The direct torque control method of an inverter fed squirrel cage typed induction motor using fuzzy logic controller has been proposed. This method is suitable for the traction which requires a fast torque response during the star-up and step change. The fuzzy control algorithm based upon the control principles of conventional DSC(Direct Self Controller) is developed. The fuzzy algorithm is tarried out by defuzzification strategy of the fuzzy output extracted from the possibility distribution of an inferred fuzzy control rule. The flux and torque of an induction motor are estimated by the dynamic model of the rotor flux field-oriented scheme which has decoupling characteristics and excellent dynamic response over a wide speed range. The proposed controller shows a good dynamic response. Moreover, since the fuzzy controller possesses highly adaptive capability, the performance of fuzzy controller is quite robust and insensitive to the motor parameters and change of operation conditions.

Analyses on the sea surface wind field data by satellite remote sensing

If we use the microwave of SAR, we can observe ocean in spite of severe weather or night time. The sea surface image of SAR has numerous information about atmospheric phenomena related to surface wind field. The extracted wind information from SAR can be used diversely. In order to extract sea wind speed from SAR image, a generated wind direction from SAR and sigma nought should be input into wind model. Therefore, wind speed can be obtained by input wind direction into CMOD5 Model. Azimuth angle using CMOD5 Model is generated by added

A New Small Size Digital Optical Ozone Monitor Using CCD Array as a UV Detector

Ozone monitor based on UV techniques has been widely used due to their signal stability. The high concentration ozone monitor for real time ozone monitoring from ozone generator was composed of a low pressure mercury lamp as UV source and a photo multiplier tube as UV detector. The structure could be very useful for low price high concentration ozone monitor and showed good linearity to ozone in the concentration range between 0.05 and 2wt%. For accurate ambient ozone monitoring, the system composed of a high power pulsed xenon lamp as UV source, an optical spectrometer with a high sensitivity linear CCD array as UV detector. The optical signal form the CCD array was converted to digital signal, and the digital signal was displayed on screen using PC interface. The developed system showed good linearity and sensitivity in relatively low measuring range between 10ppm and 10,000ppm, and showed some feasibility of hish resolution ozone monitor using CCD array as a photodetecor.
Noise-Predictive Decision-Feedback Equalizer for Wireless Mobile Communications

Adaptive equalizers are inevitable schemes in digital communication systems for compensating the transmission channel distortion. Additionally, to obtain the required BER(Bit Error Rate), the adaptive algorithms appropriate to the mobile communication channels are required. In this paper, we propose the NPDFE (Noise-Predictive Decision Feedback Equalizer) for communication systems performance improvement in mobile communication channels. The performance of the proposed NPDFE with QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is simulated under AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise), Ricean fading, ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) fading, and Rayleigh fading channels. The equalizers used in simulations are a LE (Linear Equalizer), a DFE (Decision Feedback Equalizer), and a NPDFE. Moreover, the equalizer performance criterion of the QPSK is the BER.

Application Contents of based on a workflow process unit in grid system is a practical work to solve the problem. To construct cooperation environment is very important because the contents are deployed and executed. And the most of cooperation is executed by workflow. Globus toolkit is the middleware for cooperation process in grid environment. However the middleware only provides basic services for constructing grid, not workflow that can provides cooperation, job scheduling, application contents management. Also Globus toolkit is suitable for huge gird community but small size pc based grid community. Therefore, this paper proposes the efficient application contents deployment system for small sizes cooperation. This system supports efficient cooperation environment with Application contents deployment and resource management provided in grid community. Also it presents information and association relation among application contents with association dictionary among application contents based on workflow process unit, and utilizes this as information for application contents deployment.
A study on the Base of Design of GF Network for Satellite DMB

Satellite DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) uses the Cap Filler(GF) that provides a service to the wave shade area of the satellite signal that is a non-line of sight area. The GF is the repeater and the Satellite DMB Systems certainly must construct the GF Network toguarantee the movement reception of the terminal. As the coverage of the GF is formed the Cell or Sector, when the multiple GF is established to be contiguous, the problem of the interference will be able to occur. This paper describes the Satellite DMB system and the GF, and it investigate the design fundamentals plan of the GF Network that it will be able to reduce this problem. As a result, in case of the distance that GF and terminal unit is above 4.6Km, service is not provided because of quality degradation according to mutual interference.
Performance and Iteration Number Statistics of Flexible Low Density Parity Check Codes

The OFDMA Physical layer in the WiMAX standard of IEEE 802.16e adopts 114 LDPC codes with various code rates and block sizes as a channel coding scheme to meet varying channel environments and different requirements for transmission performance. In this paper, the performances of the LDPC codes are evaluated according to various code rates and block-lengths throueh simulation studies using min-sum decoding algorithm in AWGN chamois. As the block-length increases and the code rate decreases, the BER performance improves. In the cases with code rates of 2/3 and 3/4, where two different codes ate specified for each code rate, the codes with code rates of 2/3A and 3/4B outperform those of 2/3B and 3/4A, respectively. Through the statistical analyses of the number of decoding iterations the decoding complexity and the word error rates of LDPC codes are estimated. The results can be used to trade-off between the performance and the complexity in designs of LDPC decoders.
Facial Impression Classification for Sasang Constitution Diagnosis

In this paper, we propose an efficient method to classify human facial impression using frontal face image. The features that represent the shape of eye, jaw and face are used. The proposed method employs PCA, LDA and SVM in series. PCA is used to project the feature space to a low dimensional subspace. LDA produces well separated classes in a low dimensional subspace even under severe variation. This results in good discriminating power for classification. SVM is used to classify the data. Human face has been classified for 8 facial impressions. The experiments have been performed for many face images, and show encouraging result.
Efficient Successive Transmission Technique in Event Based OS for Sensor Network

To transfer large amount of packets fast in sensor network, it is necessary that the delay between successive packet transmissions should be minimized as possible. If interval is too long, delay also becomes too long but if interval is too short, the fail of transfer request would increase. In this paper, we propose ESTEO which reduces the delay between successive packet transmissions by using SendDone Event which informs that a packet transmission has been completed. In ESTEO, the delay between successive packet transmissions is shortened very much since the transmission of next Packet starts at the time when the transmission of previous packet has completed, irrespective of the transmission time. Therefore ESTEO could provide high packet transmission rate given large amount of packets.

In this paper, we analyse eavesdrop problem of existing RFID security scheme and proposed improved SEEB algorithm for RFID security. we suggest partial round process and security in SEED algorithm. Existing scheme has vulnerability of security and implementation so far from realization. Therefore In our paper, we proposed new scheme using modified SEED algorithm for backward channel protection.
