As Home Network facilities are more enlarging on the basis of a Certification system and U-City by a different operators and regional groups. In this paper, describer to the status of it's installation and promotion and arrange it's general idea and law system concept. Also, draw operation system's problems and present counterproposal through analyzing an application basis of the law systems and information-communication technical standards such as construction law, housing law, and regulation to the housing construction standard. etc. We suggest an change necessity of the law system that home network can get ready for safely, facilities, comfortability of the user's convenience.
Stress Modification Index Algorithm Following Specific Factors

Study of methods to measure stress has been continuously ongoing. As such, studies have continued because this is an issue that exists in the method of our lives, yet it is hard to solve. The concept of stress is yet to be certain, with diverse interpretations because the approach method is diverse. There are significant differences in individual stress reactions, and several factors are involved. It is necessary to express stress in simple figures and to find out about it easily on a personal level. Consequently, this paper suggests the algorithms to express stress index on the base of a statistics data and a measurement tool which is used in the specific group.
Design and Implementation of UWB BPFs

Recently the frequency assignment and the technical specifications of UWB systems for communications are completed. Therefore many UWB systems have been developed. In our country
are assigned for UWB systems for communications. When we consider RF technologies and the easy implementation of UWB systems, UWB systems used in the low band are more developed than high band systems. In this paper we design and implement a BPF for low band UWB systems by means of considering the easy implementation of UWB systems. The designed and implemented BPFs are low band filter and low band channel filters. The measured results of the low band filter show that the filter has 21.85dB and 17.91dB attenuation at 3.1GHz and 4.8GHz, 1.53GHz of -10dB bandwidth and 2dB of insertion loss. Low band can be divided into 3 channels with 500MHz of the channel bandwidth. The channel filter for channel number 1 has the characteristics of 24.85dB attenuation at 3.1GHz, 0.61GHz of -10dB bandwidth and 1.87dB of insertion loss. The filter for channel 3 in low band has 19.2dB of attenuation at 4.8GHz, 0.49GHz of -10dB bandwidth and 2.49dB of insertion loss.
A study on the prediction model of attenuation influence of satellite communication signal by Asian dust

This paper presents the prediction model of attenuation characteristics of satellite communication signals operating in the range from 1 to 20GHz, associated with the effects of the Asian Dust. And this paper analyze the effects of the Asian Dust in theory that dust particles size and density, OPC, signal levels, exponentail distribution and the permittivity. The prediction model of the dust attenuation was got, combining the formula of the complex dielectric constant of Asian dust. Expressions for specific attenuation and attenuation are derived in terms of the height, visibility. Therefore it make an investigate to the prediction model of attenuation characteristics continuously.
Verification of Temporal Relations on SMIL 2.0 Document using an Extended Temporal Interval Model

This paper suggests a method for verification of temporal relations on SMIL 2.0 document using an extended temporal interval model. The SMIL 2.0 document has more asynchronous temporal relations and supports more interactive relations between objects than traditional SMIL document. But it is higher to produce temporal inconsistency by various interactive relations between objects. So the suggested verification method expresses SMIL 2.0 document as functional relations based on an extended temporal interval model and verifies SMIL 2.0 document using interactive relations and temporal intervals between objects. Applications to the verification method are as follows; multiuser interactive contents, online-learning, etc.
A Study on Error Resilience of Header Parameters considering the activity of macroblock

Any errors that are generated in the channels and networks distort the video quality and are propagated in both the spatial and temporal domains. In particular, header errors ran result in serious visual degradation of the output video encoding/decoding schemes that can make an error resilient compressed bit-stream in error prone environments, such as mobile networks. In this paper, we proposes an header error resilience method that consider the activity of macroblock in video bitstream syntex. The extract of header error repaetedly embeds the header parameters into the least significant bits(LSB) of the quantized DCT coefficients prior to VLC. Experimental results show that the proposed error resilience method restores good image quality despite the detected error on header parameters.
Face Detection using Color Information and AdaBoost Algorithm

Most of face detection technique uses information from the face of the movement. The traditional face detection method is to use difference picture method ate used to detect movement. However, most do not consider this mathematical approach using real-time or real-time implementation of the algorithm is complicated, not easy. This paper, the first to detect real-time facial image is converted YCbCr and RGB video input. Next, you convert the difference between video images of two adjacent to obtain and then to conduct Glassfire Labeling. Labeling value compared to the threshold behavior Area recognizes and converts video extracts. Actions to convert video to conduct face detection, and detection of facial characteristics required for the extraction and use of AdaBoost algorithm.
A Study on Improved SMETA System and Applying Encryption Function

As the XML is used as the standard format for information delivery and exchange in various fields, the SVG is frequently used as a user interface or expression tool for the embedded system like an internet based mobile phone. The SVG file must contain additional information specifying the structure of the document and it consumes more transmission time than the actual data sent. The SMETA(Svg transmission MEthod using Semantic meTAdata) system is a study to reduce the size of the SVG file by partitioning the SVG file to a minimal size and assigning meaningful meta data to each portion of the data. In this paper, instead of the meta data exchange method for reducing the size of the file exchanged in the existing SMETA system, we studied an improved version of SMETA system that analyzes the data for each user in the server system and only transmits the data that a user needs. In addition, through our simulation, we verified that it provides better performance than the existing system even if encryption is used.
Design of a Narrow Band Pass Filter with Crystal Oscillator for NAVTEX Receivers

This paper evaluate the performance using a simulated 490KHz narrow band filter based on characteristic parameters appropriately extracted from 490KHz band-pass filter after considering each characteristic, which is modeled on equivalent circuit and applied to NAVTEX receiver using crystal oscillator. The evaluation results show that the value of a series capacitor of crystal oscillator has only little capacity by Cs=21.094fF and the bandwidth characteristics of filter go worse as the capacity value of crystal oscillator grow increase. Moreover, the series inductance value of crystal oscillator has a relatively big value by L=5H, therefore the bandwidth characteristic according as inductance's capacity shows more little effect than the capacity.
Implementation of Middleware Security System for Home Networking

In this paper, a system with sensor network security mechanism which can be applied to home network structure is designed and it is implemented on a virtual network of a home network middleware. The basic structure of home networking middleware supports one-to-one (unicast) or broadcast communication mode between the lookup server and service nodes on the network. Confidentiality and authentication are key security factors of the one-to-one communication and user authentication is crucial for broadcasting mode. . The SNEP ensures confidentiality and authentication, and
provides broadcast authentication. We propose a SPIN based home network middleware and it is implemented by using the CBC-MAC for MAC generation, the counter mode (CTR) for message freshness, the pseudo random function (PRF) and RC5 as encryption algorithm. The implementation result shows that an attacker cannot decrypt the message though he gets the secure key because of CTR mode. In addition, we confirmed that a received message of the server is authenticated using MAC.
A key management scheme for the cluster-based sensor network using polar coordinated

The level of security of most sensor nodes that comprise the sensor networks is low, but because of the low computing power and small storage capacity, it is even very difficult to apply a security algorithm efficiently to the sensor nodes. Therefore, preventing the join of an illegal node to a sensor network is impossible, and the transmitting information is easily exposed and overheard when the transmitting algorithm of the sensor node is hewn. In this paper, we propose a group key management scheme for the sensor network using polar coordinates, so that the sensor nodes can deliver information securely inside a cluster and any illegal node is prevented from joining to the cluster where a sensor network is composed of many clusters. In the proposed scheme, all of the sensor nodes in a cluster set up the authentication keys based on the pivot value provided by the CH. The intensive simulations show that the proposed scheme outperforms the pair-wise scheme in terms of the secure key management and the prevention of the illegal nodes joining to the network.
Design Optimization of Differential FPCB Transmission Line for Flat Panel Display Applications

This paper addresses the analysis and the design optimization of differential interconnects for Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) applications. Thanks to the differential transmission and the low voltage swing, LVDS offers high data rates and improved noise immunity with significantly reduced power consumption in data communications, high-resolution display, and flat panel display. We present an improved model and new equations to reduce impedance mismatch and signal degradation in cascaded interconnects using optimization of interconnect design parameters such as trace width, trace height and trace space in differential flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) transmission lines. We have carried out frequency-domain full-wave electromagnetic simulations, time-domain transient simulations, and S-parameter simulations to evaluate the high-frequency characteristics of the differential FPCB interconnects. The 10% change in trace width produced change of approximately 6% and 5.6% in differential impedance for trace thickness of
, respectively. The change in the trace space showed a little change. We believe that the proposed approach is very helpful to optimize high-speed differential FPCB interconnects for LVDS applications.
An Acoustic Feedback Canceller for Digital Hearing Aids Using Decorrelator

This paper is on a new adaptive algorithm which can cancel the acoustic feedback signals in the digital hearing aids. The proposed algorithm uses the normalized LMS algorithm with decorrelators. By doing so, it can be reduced the autocorrelation for the voice signals. To analyze the convergence characteristics of the proposed algorithm, the simulations were carried out about various input signals. And we had compared the performances of convergence for this algorithm with the ones for the NLMS algorithm. As the results of simulations, it is proved that the feedback canceller adopting this algorithm shows about 5-10 dB more high SNR than the NLMS algorithm for the colored inputs.
Behavioral design aad verification of electronic circuits using CPPSIM

Behavioral level simulations of LDO voltage regulator and phase locked loop(PLL) are performed with CPPSIM, a behavioral-level simulation tool based on C language. The validity of the simulation tool is examined by modeling analog circuits and simulating the circuits. In addition, the designed PLL adopted digital architecture to possess advantages of digital circuits.
Performance Analysis of OFDM Systems in the Presence of DC Offset and Frequency Offset

I perform bit error rate(BER) analysis of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems impaired by both direct current(DC) offset and carrier frequency offset. By analyzing the BER performance for real OFDM systems employing 16-quadrature amplitude modulation(QAM) and pilot symbol estimation, the dependency of BER on the DC offset and carrier frequency offset is quantified and compared to ideal performance. Results show that the magnitude of frequency offset and DC offset are required to be less than 0.01 and 0.007, respectively.
FPGA Implementation of Frequency Offset Cancel Circuit using CORDIC in OFDM

A Study on PAPR Reduction and Compensation for In-Band Distortion in OFDM Systems

OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system is robust to frequency selective fading and narrowband interference in high-speed data communications. However, an OFDM signal consists of a number of independently modulated subcarriers, which can give a large PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) when added up coherently. In this paper, we apply clipping and filtering to solve the PAPR problem and compensate the inband compensation using calculated EVM (Error Vector Magnitude). The proposed method can reduce the PAPR and inband distortion. From the results, we analyze the PAPR reducing efficiency and EVM, BER performance of proposed algorithm in the wireless communication system.
The Design of Data Grid Wrapper for Integrated Retrieve based on XMDR

Recently, many researches have been conducted to solve data heterogeneity as a way for data integration. The elements of the system that we suggest are an XMDR wrapper and XMDR Repository. XMDR wrapper solves the heterogeneity of the existing system by creating the interface based on the standard information of XMDR, and performing the inter-conversion between global XMDR query and local query using mapping data on standard information and local schema. XMDR Repository are composed of XMDR which manages the mapping data on standard information and local schema, and of Proxy DB which saves the accomplished results. With XMDR wrapper and XMDR Repository, users can use the same interface, and they need not conduct repeated queries since XMDR wrapper not only solves the heterogeneity of the schema using the meta-semantic ontology of XMDR, but also considers the heterogeneity accompanying the meaning of the value through instance semantic ontology. Therefore, in this paper we suggest the grid wrapper for the solution of data heterogeneity and efficient data integration.
Development of CMOS Image Monitoring System for Measurement of Biosensor Activity using Genetic Algorithm

CMOS image monitoring system for optimal measuring the activity of biosensor is developed using genetic algorithm. Most of living organism in water as water flea, fish, etc are frequently used as biological sensor for monitoring the water quality. It is very difficult to measure the activity of biosensor by image sensor because the value of measurement is varied with gathering method of biosensor images. The suggested monitoring system can optimally measures the activity of biosensor by genetic algorithm. The system is implemented with FPGA into the small hardware which is excellent in terms of the price and performance.
Sign Language Recognition Using ART2 Algorithm

People who have hearing difficulties use sign language as the most important communication method, and they can broaden personal relations and manage their everyday lives without inconvenience through sign language. But they suffer from absence of interpolation between normal people and people who have hearing difficulties in increasing video chatting or video communication services by recent growth of internet communication. In this paper, we proposed a sign language recognition method in order to solve such a problem. In the proposed method, regions of two hands are extracted by tracking of two hands using RGB, YUV and HSI color information from a sign language image acquired from a video camera and by removing noise in the segmented images. The extracted regions of two hands are teamed and recognized by ART2 algorithm that is robust for noise and damage. In the experiment by the proposed method and images of finger number from 1 to 10, we verified the proposed method recognize the numbers efficiently.
Design of Pipeline-based Failure Recovery Method for VOD Server

A cluster server usually consists of a front end node and multiple backend nodes. Though increasing the number of bookend nodes can result in the more QoS(Quality of Service) streams for clients, the possibility of failures in backend nodes is proportionally increased. The failure causes not only the stop of all streaming service but also the loss of the current playing positions. In this paper, when a backend node becomes a failed state, the recovery mechanisms are studied to support the unceasing streaming service. The basic techniques are hewn as providing very high speed data transfer rates suitable for the video streaming. However, without considering the architecture of cluster-based VOD server, the application of these basic techniques causes the performance bottleneck of the internal network for recovery and also results in the inefficiency CPU usage of backend nodes. To resolve these problems, we propose a new failure recovery mechanism based on the pipeline computing concept.
The Reference Model based on Web Services for USN Application Service

Recently, as the dissemination of the Internet and development of computer network technology, Research is actively underway for realization of the next-generation computing paradigm called Ubiquitous Computing. For realization of Ubiquitous computing, The data recognized from each sensors must be collected on real-time and transferred to applied service so that they may be used as data for providing service to users. However, there are several problem for realization. First, there is no standardization of sensor metadata, interface and event definition. Second, applied service has weak point that difficult of approaching to the data. Third, none interoperability with each platform and protocol. In this paper, we designed Sensor Service Description Language based on XML to resolve problem above. This Language expresses the measurement of the sensor and Service Metadata in the form to be standardized. In addition, we have proposed and development a reference model for USN application service.
The Performance Analysis of Optical CDMA based Acoustic Sensor System using Optical Fiber Sensors

We propose the optical CDMA based audio acoustic sensor using optical fiber sensors which can be used in the bottom of the sea. In the proposed network, we analyzed the performance of noise power. Numerical simulations confirm that the performance can be improved by increasing the measuring time of optical sensors compared with using conventional WDMA method.
Wireless Digital Water Meter with Low Power Consumption for Automatic Meter Reading

Recently, several papers for reading meters remotely using RFID/USN technologies have been presented. In the case of water meter, there has been neither commercial product nor paper. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of wireless digital water meter with low power consumption. We use magnetic hole sensors to compute the amount of water consumption. The meter of water consumption is transferred via ZigBee wireless protocol to a gateway. Low power consumption design is essential since a battery should last till the life time of water meter. We present that dual batteries haying 3V, 3000mAh, would last 8 years by analyzing the real power consumption of our water meter.
Service-Oriented Wireless Sensor Networks Ontology for Ubiquitous Services

This paper designs a service-oriented wireless sensor network ontology model which can be used as a knowledge base in future ubiquitous computing. In contrast to legacy approaches, this paper defines the new service classes (ServiceProperty, LocationProperty, and PhysicalProperty), as well as their properties and constraints that enable the service-oriented service based on service items. The service item merging between the proposed model and the legacy ontology was processed using the "equivalentClass" object property of OWL. The Protege 3.3.1 and RACER 1.9.0 inference tools were used for the validation and consistency check of the proposed ontology model, respectively, and the results of service query was applied to the newly defined property in SPARQL language without reference to the properties of legacy ontology.
