In this parer, we analyze the factors and build the theoretical model of influencing the utilization of Next Generation Business Intelligence. The practical implications were also discussed.
A Study of Improving Method for The Convergence Infra Build of Vehicle Management Using by RFID Technologies

In the present age, a vehicle works important part in our lives and economical domain that transport people, freights, and everything. And both of its number and value are increasing more and more. But user's convenience, control system could not be archived improvement than technological success. In this paper, we suggest some kinds of administrative agendas; simplifying executive processes, designing vehicle information system using by RFID which includes Ubiquitous skill and optical communication network. Especially, this paper suggests public vehicle control model which ran simplify every executive processes of vehicle's life in the newest method. There are many kinds of RFID applicative products about transportation. And a dual invest should be interrupted for economical purpose. So we also proposes some way for problems of these types.
The facial expression generation of vector graphic character using the simplified principle component vector

This paper presents a method that generates various facial expressions of vector graphic character by using the simplified principle component vector. First, we analyze principle components to the nine facial expression(astonished, delighted, etc.) redefined based on Russell's internal emotion state. From this, we find principle component vector having the biggest effect on the character's facial feature and expression and generate the facial expression by using that. Also we create natural intermediate characters and expressions by interpolating weighting values to character's feature and expression. We can save memory space considerably, and create intermediate expressions with a small computation. Hence the performance of character generation system can be considerably improved in web, mobile service and game that real time control is required.
A method of event data stream processing for ALE Middleware

As the interests on RFID technologies increase, a lot of research activities on RFID middleware systems to handle the data acquired by RFID readers are going on actively. Meanwhile, even though various kinds of RFID middleware methodologies and related techniques have been proposed, the common data type which is dealt with in those systems is an EPC code, mainly. Also, there are few researches of the implementation of collecting the stream data queued from RFID readers endlessly and without blocking, classifying the data into some groups according to usage, and sending the resulting data to specific applications. In this paper, we propose the method of data handling in RFID middleware to efficiently process an EPC event stream data using detail filtering, checking of data modification, creation of data set to transfer, data grouping, and various kinds of RFID data format transform. Our method is based on a de facto international standard interface defined in the ALE middleware specification by EPCglobal, and application and service users can directly set various kinds of conditions to handle the stream data.
Anti-Collision System of Crane Using Neural Network and Ultrasonic

The anti-collision system is one of units for effectual operation and safety in crane operation. Most of the system have used ultrasonic to measure position and to prevent collision of crane. But, the anti-collision system using ultrasonic is fallen the reliability of performance by the change of temperature and humidity. Hence, this study proposes neural network applied to anti-collision system to improve accuracy and stability of the measured distance data, and we evaluate performance of the system. In results of experiments, the proposed method was seen that stability and accuracy of data are improved than that of the temperature compensation method.
Optimal Frame Size Allocation Mechanism for Fast Tag Identification in RFID System

Almost all the RFID systems in the 13.56MHz ISM band adopt the FSA algorithm as the anti-collision algorithm. The FSA algorithm is based on the slotted ALOHA with a fixed frame size. The FSA, though simple, has a disadvantage that when the number of tags is variable, the system performance degrades because of the fixed frame size. Therefore, this paper proposes a new OFSA. The proposed OFSA algorithm dynamically allocates the optimal frame size at every frame based on the number of tags in the reader's identification range. According to the simulation results, the system efficiency of the proposed algorithm should be maintained optimally. Also, the proposed algorithm always obtained the minimum tag identification delay.
Monitoring System For Structure Lifting or Foundation Reinforcement Work Using Wireless Sensor Network

Wireless sensor network has merit of low-power, low-cost and self-organization network, so there are many researches substituted for existing wire network. As structure reinforcement work need a high accuracy, many sensors are installed in structure and connected with data logger for monitoring. However this wire data logger method takes a long time to install wires and installed wires obstruct to work. Additionally, wire data logger method represent sensor data by only numeric and graph, it is not able to support a rapid decision-making for working. To resolve wiring problem and support decision-making, we designed and implemented the monitoring system based in wireless sensor network. For verifying performance, accuracy and availability, we simulated and tested our system in real field. Consequently, wireless sensor network method is easier to install and deploy than wire data logger method, user is able to monitor instinctively and overall by 3D representation of structure and sensors, and it show not only accuracy but also performance for many sensors.
A Filtering Method of Trajectory Query for Efficient Process of Combined Query

The combined query which consists of the region and trajectory query finds trajectories of moving objects which locate in a certain region. The trajectory query is very informant factor to determine query performance because it processes a point query continuously to find predecessors. This results in bad performance due to revisiting nodes in an index. This paper suggests an efficient method for the combined query based on the 3-dimensional R-tree which has good performance of the region query. The basic idea is that we define the least common search line which enables to search single path and a filtering method based on prediction without revisiting nodes.
Z. Cao's Fuzzy Reasoning Method using Learning Ability

Z. Cao had proposed NFRM(new fuzzy reasoning method) which infers in detail using relation matrix. In spite of the small inference rules, it shows good performance than mamdani's fuzzy inference method. In this paper, we propose Z. Cao's fuzzy inference method with learning ability which is used a gradient descent method in order to improve the performances. It is hard to determine the relation matrix elements by trial and error method. Because this method is needed many hours and effort. Simulation results are applied nonlinear systems show that the proposed inference method using a gradient descent method has good performances.
Analysis of Tunneling Transition by Characteristics of Gate Oxide for Nano Structure FinFET

In this paper, it has been analyzed how transport characteristics is influenced on gate oxide properties in the subthreshold region as nano structure FinFET is fabricated. The analytical model is used to derive transport model, and Possion equation is used to obtain analytical model. The thermionic emission and tunneling current to have an influence on subthreshold current conduction are analyzed for nano-structure FinFET, and subthreshold swings of this paper are compared with those of two dimensional simulation to verify this model. As a result, transport model presented in this paper is good agreement with two dimensional simulation model, and this study shows that the transport characteristics have been changed by gate oxide properties. As gate length becomes smaller, funneling characteristics, one of the most important transport mechanism, have been analyzed.
Design of High-Performance ME/MC IP for Video SoC

This paper proposed a new VLSI architecture of motion estimation (ME) and compensation (MC) for efficient video compression and implemented it to hardware. ME is generally calculated using SAD result. So we proposed a new arithmetic method for SAD. The proposed SAD calculation method increases arithmetic efficiency and decreases external memory usage. Finally it increases performance of ME/MC. The proposed ME/MC hardware was implemented to ASIC with TSMC 90nm HVT CMOS library. The implemented hardware occupies about 330K gates and stably operates the clock frequency of 143MHz.

We have fabricated the poly-silicon thin film transistor(TFT) which has the LDD-region with graded spacer. The devices of n-channel poly-si TFT's hydrogenated by
/plasma processes were fabricated for the devices reliability. We have biased the devices under the gate voltage stress conditions of maximum leakage current. The parametric characteristics caused by gate voltage stress conditions in hydrogenated devices are investigated by measuring/analyzing the drain current, leakage current, threshold voltage(
), sub-threshold slope(S) and transconductance(
) values. As a analyzed results of characteristics parameters, the degradation characteristics in hydrogenated n-channel polysilicon TFT's are mainly caused by the enhancement of dangling bonds at the poly-Si/
interface and the poly-Si grain boundary due to dissolution of Si-H bonds. The structure of novel proposed poly-Si TFT's are the simplicities of the fabrication process steps and the decrease of leakage current by reduced lateral electric field near the drain region.
Design of a High-quality Seafood Production Support System

In food choice, consumers consider importantly food safely and reliability focusing on a high qualify control. Also they are concerned about sustainable production and consumption considering of area and environment. In this paper, We propose and design the high-quality seafood production support system that is based on international sanitary standard haccp, traceability and eco-fiendly seafood certification for safety and reliability of the seafood production. The system is categorized into five part: aquafarm haccp, environmental control monitoring, traceability, disease prevention and messenger service and seafood price inquiry service. The proposed system utilize diverse ubiquitous-it technologies like usn, network cctv, mobile device etc.
Rate Control for OFDM-based Wireless Networks

A protocol is proposed to control the rate of each subcarrier in OFDM-based wireless network systems. The proposed protocol adds an OFDM symbol in CTS frame defined in IEEE 802.11 standard. A receiver determines the rate of its subcarrier after it receives the RTS frame. The determined rate is added to OFDM symbol in CTS frame. In order to synchronize the rate information between the sender and the receiver, error recovery process is proposed. The performance improvement of the proposed method is shown by numerical results.
The Design Method of WiBro System Using the SOFM Blind Equalization

WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) is the standard of high-speed portable internet based on OFDMA/TDD techniques, and the subset of consolidated version of IEEE802.16e Wireless MAN standard. In this paper, we propose the design method of WiBro system using the SOFM Blind Equalization. Proposed design method used SOFM neural network blind equalization with Bussgang algorithms in the Broadband 16 QAM WiBro system receiver. To verificate the proposed design method usability, the MSE and the BER are simulated. The simulation results shown that is improved the equalization performances of the proposed WiBro system using the SOFM Blind equalization than the existing WiBro system.
Modulation Level-Controlled Multicarrier CDMA System

In this paper, we propose multicarrier CDMA system using the concept of the modulation level-controlled system in order to make the system robust to the frequency selectivity and to provide a maximum data rate maintaining an acceptable transmission quality over various channel environments. This system selects higher data rate when the channel experiences the low delay spread and slow fading. On the other hand, when the fading changes very fast and the delay spread is very long, the system selects lower data rate. In both cases, the system controls the number of serial-to-parallel converted streams and the number of fed streams. This system has the fixed number of sub-carriers. So the product of tile number of serial-to-parallel converted streams and the number of fed streams is always kept constant. With the same data fed at different sub-carriers, the frequency diversity is achieved. And a RAKE receiver also is utilized to achieve path (time) diversity.
Bit Split Algorithm for Applying the Multilevel Modulation of Iterative codes

This paper presents bit splitting methods to apply multilevel modulation to iterative codes such as turbo code, low density parity check code and turbo product code. Log-likelihood ratio method splits multilevel symbols to soft decision symbols using the received in-phase and quadrature component based on Gaussian approximation. However it is too complicate to calculate and to implement hardware due to exponential and logarithm calculation. Therefore this paper presents Euclidean, MAX, sector and center focusing method to reduce the high complexity of LLR method. Also, this paper proposes optimal soft symbol split method for three kind of iterative codes. Futhermore, 16-APSK modulator method with double ring structure for applying DVB-S2 system and 16-QAM modulator method with lattice structure for T-DMB system are also analyzed.
A Study on the Economical Installation Method of Fiber Optical Subscriber Network

In this paper, various forms of technical methods as well as comparison analysis on constructing optical subscriber network were studied to find the most economical installation method in the future. Comparison analysis has been focused on the three popular types of optical subscriber networks in Korea, such as VDSL2, Ethernet-LAN and FTTH-R. A study is conducted on the initial installation investment per subscriber, equipment failure rate as well as power consumption per subscriber. As a results, FTTH-R network will be the most economical method in the future, but a gradual switch which undergoes a UTP-fiber hybrid method as the midway process is preferable in considering the existing installed copper UTP subscriber cables.
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Prevention Monitoring System using the LVQ

Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the leading cause of unexplained death of an apparently healthy infant aged one month to one year. This paper presents an infant monitoring system which detects the movement of infants to prevent SIDS. The proposed system is composed of a movement tenting part and a motion detecting part. The movement sensing part uses a tri-axis accelerometer. The motion detecting part is based on the LVQ algorithm. The proposed monitoring system connects to an alarm for alerting a parent when an infant is in a predetermined position. We evaluated the performance of the monitoring system through experiments.
An Enhanced Counterpropagation Algorithm for Effective Pattern Recognition

The Counterpropagation algorithm(CP) is a combination of Kohonen competition network as a hidden layer and the outstar structure of Grossberg as an output layer. CP has been used in many real applications for pattern matching, classification, data compression and statistical analysis since its learning speed is faster than other network models. However, due to the Kohonen layer's winner-takes-all strategy, it often causes instable learning and/or incorrect pattern classification when patterns are relatively diverse. Also, it is often criticized by the sensitivity of performance on the learning rate. In this paper, we propose an enhanced CP that has multiple Kohonen layers and dynamic controlling facility of learning rate using the frequency of winner neurons and the difference between input vector and the representative of winner neurons for stable learning and momentum learning for controlling weights of output links. A real world application experiment - pattern recognition from passport information - is designed for the performance evaluation of this enhanced CP and it shows that our proposed algorithm improves the conventional CP in learning and recognition performance.
Probability Inference Heuristic based Non-Periodic Transmission for the Wireless Sensor Network

The development of low-power wireless communication and low-cost multi-functional smart sensor has enabled the sensor network that can perceive the status information in remote distance. Sensor nodes are sending the collected data to the node in the base station through temporary communication path using the low-cost RF communication module. Sensor nodes get the energy supply from small batteries, however, they are installed in the locations that are not easy to replace batteries, in general, so it is necessary to minimize the average power consumption of the sensor nodes. It is known that the RF modules used for wireless communication are consuming 20-60% of the total power for sensor nodes. This study suggests the probability inference heuristic based non-periodic transmission to send the collected information to the base station node, when the calculated value by probability is bigger than an optional random value, adapting real-time to the variation characteristics of sensing datain order to improve the energy consumption used in the transmission of sensed data. In this transmission method suggested, transmitting is decided after evaluation of the data sensed by the probability inference heuristic algorithm and the directly sensed data, and the coefficient that is needed for its algorithm is decided through the reappearance rate of the algorithm verification data.
A Study on the Efficient TICC(Time Interval Clustering Control) Algorithm using Attribute of Node

A MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) is a multi-hop routing protocol formed by a collection without the intervention of infrastructure. So the MANET also depended on the property as like variable energy, high degree of mobility, location environments of nodes etc. Generally the various clustering technique and routing algorithm would have proposed for improving the energy efficiency. One of the popular approach methods is a cluster-based routing algorithm using in MANET. In this paper, we propose an algorithm techniques which is TICC (Time Interval Clustering Control) based on energy value in property of each node for solving cluster problem. It provides improving cluster energy efficiency how can being node manage to order each node's energy level. TICC could be able to manage the clustering, re-configuration, maintenance and detection of Node in MANET. Furthermore, the results of modeling shown that Node's energy efficiency and lifetime are improved in MANET.
Design and Implementation of the Digital Photo Frame based on Ubiquitous

As the performance of digital camera keeps going on, the digital camera becomes into wide use recently so that the number of digital images taken by digital camera is increased rapidly. Given the augmentation of digital images, the digital photo frame has appeared for storing and enjoying the digital image and receives attention as the price of digital frame becomes down. However, users with the existing digital frame only could display the digital images and stream media stored in local disk. In the paper, we design and implement a new digital photo frame baled on ubiquitous which could provide a more variety of service to the user. With the proposed digital photo frame, the user could obtain the environment information and the digital image from multimedia sensor network. The users also could enjoy the various stream media stored in the remote streaming server seamlessly. In addition, the user could update the digital image through the web site at anywhere.
Design and Implementation of the Internet-based and Essay-typed Performance Assessment System

The recent change of educational evaluation puts particular emphasis on performance assessments which can appraise learning processes as well as learning results. The performance assessment is not only helpful for the improvement of teaching and learning methods, but also for making the learning activities significant to learners themselves. In this paper we propose and implement a system to support the internet-based and essay-typed performance assessment, in which student's performance can properly be evaluated. Teachers can be relieved from the burden of testing and provided with convenient methods of evaluation. We analyze the performance of the implemented system by evaluating practical usages of selected instructors and students group.
