An Efficient Real-Time Image Reconstruction Scheme using Network m Multiple View and Multiple Cluster Environments

We propose an algorithm and system which generates 3D stereo image by composition of 2D image from 4 multiple clusters which 1 cluster was composed of 4 multiple cameras based on network. Proposed Schemes have a network-based client-server architecture for load balancing of system caused to process a large amounts of data with real-time as well as multiple cluster environments. In addition, we make use of JPEG compression and RAM disk method for better performance. Our scheme first converts input images from 4 channel, 16 cameras to binary image. And then we generate 3D stereo images after applying edge detection algorithm such as Sobel algorithm and Prewiit algorithm used to get disparities from images of 16 multiple cameras. With respect of performance results, the proposed scheme takes about 0.05 sec. to transfer image from client to server as well as 0.84 to generate 3D stereo images after composing 2D images from 16 multiple cameras. We finally confirm that our scheme is efficient to generate 3D stereo images in multiple view and multiple clusters environments with real-time.
A Study on the Coupling of a Flanged Parallel-Plate Waveguide to a Nearby Conducting Strip from the Viewpoint of Near-Field Scanning Microscopy

In this paper, the problem of electromagnetic coupling between a slit fed by a flanged parallel-plate waveguide (FPPW) and a nearby conducting strip parallel to the slit is studied as a simplified problem for a near-field scanning microscopy (NSM). The characteristics of the FPPW are investigated from the results for the variations of the equivalent slit admittance, the reactive powers near the slit inside and outside the FPPW, the magnitude and phase of the voltage reflection coefficient of the TEM wave. The performance of the proposed apparatus as an NSM is tested by examining the effects of various geometrical parameters such as guide height, slit width, strip width, distance between slit and strip, and the ratio of slit width to guide height on the magnitude and phase of the voltage reflection coefficient of the TEM wave. From the results for the voltage reflection coefficient against the strip offset from the slit, it is found that a slit in the FPPW with smaller guide height gives higher scanning resolution and the phase variation is more sensitive than the magnitude variation.
Six-port direct conversion receiver front-end with carrier recovery circuit and phase shifter using multi-layer coupled line

The six-port direct conversion receiver front-end that is comprised of a carrier recovery and a phase shifter, which gets the same structure with six-port phase correlator using the multi-layer coupled line, was designed and fabricated in this paper. The six-port element that is comprised of the power divider and the hybrid coupler is designed by multi-layer coupled line structure. The multi-coupled structure is utilized as the basic structure in receiver phase correlator, carrier recovery circuit and phase shifter. The receiver front-end with the same multi-layer coupled line structure for the receiver elements shows the simple structure and no difficulty in integration. The fabricated multi-layer coupled six-port receiver front-end re-generates the carrier signal with a constant phase and demodulates the PSK transmission signal.
Keyboard Solo System using a Real Time Hand Recognition Method

As parents are interested in music education for infants in these days, they require systems to help these infants to actively play music. In this paper, we propose a keyboard solo system using a real time hand recognition method. In order to enable the infants to use the system easily, the proposed system plays some sounds whenever the infants move their fingers on a paper piano. For the purpose of minimizing cost to play music, the proposed system utilizes a general PC with only a paper piano, a web camera, and a speaker. With the aim of precisely and efficiently recognizing both a hand and each key on keyboard, the proposed system divides a recognition step into a hand recognition step and a keyboard recognition step. Also, the hand recognition step considers only skin color, and the keyboard recognition step considers only black and white without other colors.
Recognition of Car License Plates Using Difference Operator and ART2 Algorithm

In this paper, we proposed a new recognition method can be used in application systems using morphological features, difference operators and ART2 algorithm. At first, edges are extracted from an acquired car image by a camera using difference operators and the image of extracted edges is binarized by a block binarization method. In order to extract license plate area, noise areas are eliminated by applying morphological features of new and existing types of license plate to the 8-directional edge tracking algorithm in the binarized image. After the extraction of license plate area, mean binarization and mini-max binarization methods are applied to the extracted license plate area in order to eliminated noises by morphological features of individual elements in the license plate area, and then each character is extracted and combined by Labeling algorithm. The extracted and combined characters(letter and number symbols) are recognized after the learning by ART2 algorithm. In order to evaluate the extraction and recognition performances of the proposed method, 200 vehicle license plate images (100 for green type and 100 for white type) are used for experiment, and the experimental results show the proposed method is effective.
A Study on Image Recognition by Orientation Information

There are a lot of characteristics in Human visual information processing when image information is transmitted from retina to visual cortex. Among them, we analyze the sensibility of the orientation and cortical magnification on an image. The fact that the small fovea is allotted a large area on the cortex is called the cortical magnification factor. We compare recognition rates by weight of vertical, horizontal and diagonal response. In statistics analysis, we show that a particular simple cell responds best to a bar with a vertical orientation. After then, we will apply the characteristics to Human visual system.
Design of a Fuzzy Controller for a Line Trace Vehicle

In this paper, we proposed a fuzzy controller for racing of a line trace vehicle. Sensor values are computed by statuses of line detecting sensors attached to the line trace vehicle and these sensor values are used for fuzzy inference rules of steering angle control to decide steering angle as output. The decided steering angle is also used for fuzzy inference rules of motor speed control to decide motor speed as output. We experimented and analyzed two proposed methods - one is fuzzy control of steering angle only and the other is fuzzy control of both steering angle and motor speed. In the experiment, we verified that the second proposed method was more efficient in racing speed.
Performance Analysis of LDPC code with Channel Estimation in Underwater Communication

Underwater acoustic(UWA) communication has multipath error because of reflection by sea-level and sea-bottom. The multipath of UWA channel causes signal distortion and error floor. In this paper, we proposed the compensation method of multipath effect using the impulse response of the UWA channel and then analysis the performance of channel coding such as LDPC code, concatenate code. Also we analysed the time-delay errors and estimated amplitude errors of estimated channel information and its affection on the performance. As shown in simulation results, the performance of proposed compensation method is better than the performance of conventional method.
An Improved Bit Transmission Rate Technique in the WSK

This paper presents WSK(wavelet shift keying) that can be improved to bit transmission rate in the digital communication. An algorithm of the conventional modulation is carried out that the scaling function and wavelet are encoded to 1(mark) and 0(space) for the input binary data, respectively. A new modulation technique that uses four carrier frequencies is proposed. Four carrier frequencies are defined as scaling function, inversed scaling function, wavelet, and inversed wavelet, which are encoded to 10, 11, 00 and 01 respectively. An algorithm of the proposed demodulation is decode to the original data using four correlation. As a results of simulation, we confirmed that the proposed method was improved to the performance at twice for the bit transmission rate.

In this paper, look into the applicable communication for unmanned vehicle system development, and make an alternative idea to IEEE 802.11a. "IEEE 802.11a" is differently from "IEEE 802.11b/g"-which used to 2.4GHz ISM band-as it use OFDM modulation system of 5GHz band, as contrasted with "IEEE 802.11b/g" of ISM band, it has advantage against falling-off the capability caused by interfered, and provide maximum 54Mbps communication speed. Made a priority tested Soft Roaming and Hard Roaming to ensure the sound boom of unmanned vehicle in the flat parking. User-Focused Package Contents Application System for Interactive IPTV Services

Recent IPTV services still remain as simple broadcasting services that cannot make the most of interactive features together with various content-associated data. So, IPTV providers are making efforts to break from monopolistic style, so as increasing the user's participation m service. However there is an interoperability problem because no common solution is employed across different providers. To solve this problem, there needs to be a framework for a framework for generating, sharing and distributing package contents. In this paper, we propose user-centered package contents application framework for interactive IPTV services. We also design a package content authoring and consuming system which plays core parts in the proposed framework.
New Abrupt/Gradual Scene Change Detection

This paper presented a new scene change detection method of compounding color histogram and
histogram. This method overcomes the disadvantages of difference value detection methods and will be taking advantage. Also, this method can detect all from the abrupt scene change detection to gradual scene change detection. The proposed method has been compared with previous method, and our experimental results show the better results than the previous method.
An Implementation of Markerless Augmented Reality Using Efficient Reference Data Sets

This paper presents how to implement Markerless Augmented Reality and how to create and apply reference data sets. There are three parts related with implementation: setting camera, creation of reference data set, and tracking. To create effective reference data sets, we need a 3D model such as CAD model. It is also required to create reference data sets from various viewpoints. We extract the feature points from the mode1 image and then extract 3D positions corresponding to the feature points using ray tracking. These 2D/3D correspondence point sets constitute a reference data set of the model. Reference data sets are constructed for various viewpoints of the model. Fast tracking can be done using a reference data set the most frequently matched with feature points of the present frame and model data near the reference data set.
Design of T-N2SCD Detection Model based on Time Window

An intrusion detection technique based on host consider system call sequence or system call arguments. These two ways are suitable when system call sequence or order and length of system call arguments are out of order. However, there are two disadvantages which a false positive rate and a false negative rate are high. In this paper we propose the T-N2SCD detection model based on Time Window in order to reduce false positive rate and false negative rate. Data for using this experiment is provided from DARPA. As experimental results, the proposed model showed that the false positive rate and the false negative rate are lowest at an interval of 1000ms than at different intervals.
Wireless image processing based management system the driver of the vehicle

Due to growth of electronics and control devices, automation and situational awareness systems have been applied by automobile. Vision systems with the introduction of unmanned system being actively developed, but are still high price and visual information is passed through the cable, because of cars are difficult to install. In this paper, can be installed inside the car at low-cost, simple image processing device through a wireless communication know the obstacles and the alarm system based on Zigbee wireless communication, infrared and ultrasonic sensors to monitor the situation through with easy parking cars outside the system design was implemented.
Implementation of Stable Interface for Clinic Laboratory Equipment

As for information system in hospital which digital hospital aims at, there are LIS(Laboratory Information System) and so on. Interface program gather the results from the clinic laboratory equipment and manage the results efficiently as well. To implement interface program, multi tasking and multi thread method is used. In this paper, we proposed the stable method after comparing and analyzing these two methods we present above through the simulation. Also we designed and implemented Interface program which satisfy the users' requirements applying the proposed method. The result of using the built interface program in the hospital field confirms that the program operates safely.
The Scheme of Facilities Management based on the Zigbee

Usually, it is possible for human administrator to control the facilities manually or automatically using sensors in order to manage the fixed electricity facilities. However, it is difficult to collect the status data of those facilities in the central management system. In this paper, we propose the electricity facility management system to collect the status of facilities using the Zigbee networks. the proposed system exploits the various types of sensors, such as motion, heat, optical, etc, to measure the states of the facilities.

Analysis of Threshold Voltage Characteristics for FinFET Using Three Dimension Poisson's Equation

In this paper, the threshold voltage characteristics have been analyzed using three dimensional Poisson's equation for FinFET. The FinFET is extensively been studing since it can reduce the short channel effects as the nano device. We have presented the short channel effects such as subthreshold swing and threshold voltage for PinFET, using the analytical three dimensional Poisson's equation. We have analyzed for channel length, thickness and width to consider the structural characteristics for FinFET. Using this model, the subthreshold swing and threshold voltage have been analyzed for FinFET since the potential and transport model of this analytical three dimensional Poisson's equation is verified as comparing with those of the numerical three dimensional Poisson's equation.
Design of a Sub-micron Locking Time Integer-N PLL Using a Delay Locked-Loop

A novel phase-locked loop(PLL) architecture of sub-micron locking time has been proposed. Input frequency is multiplied by using a delay-locked loop(DLL). The input frequency of a PLL is multiplied while the PLL is out of lock. The multiplied input frequency makes the PLL having a wider loop bandwidth. It has been simulated with a
1.8V CMOS process. The simulated locking time is
at 162.5MHz and 2.6GHz, input and output frequency, respectively.
Nano-structural Characteristics of N-doped ZnO Thin Films

N-doped ZnO thin films with c-axis preferred orientation were prepared on p-Si(100) wafers, using an RF magnetron sputter deposition. For ZnO deposition,
gas was employed as a dopant source and various deposition conditions such as
gas fraction and RF power were applied. The depth pofiles of the nitrogen [N] atoms incorporated into the ZnO thin films were investigated by Auger Electron Spectroscopy(AES) and the nano-scale structural characteristics of the N-doped ZnO thin films were also investigated by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) technique.
The Detection of PVC based Rhythm Analysis and Beat Matching

Premature ventricular contractions are the most common of all arrhythmias and may cause more serious situation in some patients. Therefore, the detection of this arrhythmia becomes crucial in the early diagnosis and prevention of possible life threatening cardiac diseases. Most of the algorithms detecting PVC reported in literature is not always feasible due to the presence of noise and P wave making the detection difficult, and the process being time consuming and ineffective for real time analysis. To solve this problem, a new approach for the detection of PVC is presented based rhythm analysis and beat matching in this paper. For this purpose, the ECG signals are first processed by the usual preprocessing method and R wave was detected. The algorithm that decides beat type using the rhythm analysis of RR interval and beat matching of QRS width is developed. The performance of R wave and PVC detection is evaluated by using MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The achieved scores indicate sensitivity of 99.74%, positive predictivity of 99.81% and sensitivity of 93.91%, positive predictivity of 96.48% accuracy respectively for R wave and PVC detection.
A Hand-off Technique for Cellular Networks Using Game Theory

In cellular network systems one of the most significant quality metrics to measure quality of performance is the average number of call drops in a system. It ensures that the active calls in the system are successfully completed without being dropped in the mid communication for ultimate customer satisfaction. Hand-off mechanism increases cellular system reliability by seamless continuation of active calls by transferring active calls from one base station to another. In this paper, we study and propose a simple hand-off mechanism using game theory. We conclude that using the simple QoS utility function proposed in this paper, our optimal deterministic hand-off strategy is to transfer the active calls to the base station with greater signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) and greater number of available channels.
Low Complexity ML Detection Based on Linear Detectors in MIMO Systems

MMSE, ZF and ML are the decoding mechanisms for V-BLAST system, and ML shows the best performance decoding the original signal among them. However, it has a problem that the computation complexity is increased exponentially according to the number of transmit antennas and transmit degrees. In this paper, we propose a low complexity linear ML detection algorithm having low computation complexity, then analyze the system performance in BER and computation complexity comparing with other algorithms. In the simulation, the BER performance of the proposed algorithm is superior than ZF and MMSE detection algorithms, and similar to ML detection algorithm. However, its computation complexity was 50% less than ML algorithm. From the results, we confirm that the proposed algorithm is superior than other ML detection algorithms.
Development of the Video Optical Network Unit for Dual Band Broadcasting Services

As an astonishing progress of FTTH infrastructure, the new technologies have been widely studied to use the tantalizing benefits of high bandwidth in fiber optic cable. In this paper, a new VONU is presented to perform all necessary optical functions. It can converts digital and analog CATV signals and satellite-based signal transmitted via one fiber optic cable to electrical signals (electric lights). However, most previous VONU systems have the problems such as interference between difference services, signal distortion, and noise increasing rate. These problems cause the quality deterioration in broadcasting. Therefore, we suggest the new VONU system to solve all problems listed above. In addition, we show that how our system performs well by measuring the real data with implemented system.
A Study on the Implementation of the Silver Internet Phone based on 13.56Mhz RFID System

This paper is a study on the implementation of internet phone for silver generation based on RFID system. Together with the development of internet, the commercial internet phone is being used widely. However the usage of internet phone is still not convenient with silver generation. In this paper, we use one of the internet phone type called application method and 13.56MHz RFID technology to improve the usage of internet phone. The new silver internet phone can make a phone call only by using RFID tag that has a picture or some information of callee.
Motion Activity Detection using Wireless 3-Axis Accelerometer Sensor for Elder and Feeble Person

This paper proposes an monitoring system of elder and feeble person's motion activity using an object's motion activity data. The proposed system used wireless 3-axis sensor module, product by Freescale(Wireless Sensing Triple Axis Reference Design Board (ZSTAR)). We distribute sensing data into three classes using Neural Network System SVM. We find performance of proposed system that simulate some case about walk, past walk, fallen. Classify result data and graph of sensing data present succes rate 80%.

Wireless Sensor Network collects a data from the specific area and the control is composed of small sensor nodes. Performance Analysis of Directional Communication for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

Ad hoc wireless networks operate without any infrastructure where a node can be a source and a router at the same time. This indispensably requires high throughput and low delay performance throughout the wireless network coverage span, particularly under heavy traffic conditions. Recent research on using multiple antennas in beam-forming or multiplexing modes over a wireless channel has shown promising results in terms of high throughput and low delay. Directional antennas have shown to increase spatial reuse by allowing multiple transmitters and receivers to communicate using. directional beams as long as they do not significantly interfere with each other. However directional antenna performance asymptotically approaches the omni-directional performance in a high density ad hoc network. Simulation results in QualNet validate that average throughput and packet corruption ratio of directional antenna approach omni-directional performance. Moreover, we further highlight some important issues pertaining to the directional antenna performance in wireless networks.
Digital Signature Model of Sensor Network Using Hash Chain

In sensor network there are no nodes or servers that are exclusively responsible for packet forwarding and routing. Instead, sensor nodes participating in network communications perform these activities. Thus, they are vulnerable to the alteration and forgery of message in the process of packet forwarding and routing. To solve this problem, a security to ensure authentication and integrity of routing and forwarding messages should be required. To do this, we propose the hash chain-based digital signature model where it takes less time to compute in generating and verifying the digital signature model, unlike he public key-based digital signature model, and verify if this model is proper by comparing computation times between tow models.
The Development of Terminal for Long Distance Data Transmission Using UHF RFID Module

This research paper is to develop remote data transmission terminal which is adequate to RFID R/W by using UHF/RF RFID R/W module (WJR7090) and Bluetooth communication(FB755AC) with ARM chipset(AT91SAM7S256). The developed UHF RFID R/W terminal performs tagging of RPID value and transmit the value to server with Bluetooth communication, the transmitted RFID tag value is compared to the Database value and the result is transmitted to the terminal. Performance test was done in order to prove the performance of the terminal, and the test result of the terminal's excellency and transmitted/recevied packet is described.

A study on Public Key Authentication using Polynomial Secret Sharing in WSN

Earlier researches on Sensor Networks preferred symmetric key-based authentication schemes in consideration of limitations in network resources. However, recent advancements in cryptographic algorithms and sensor-node manufacturing techniques have opened suggestion to public key-based solutions such as Merkle tree-based schemes. This paper proposes a new concept of public key-based authentication using Polynomial Secret Sharing that can be effectively applied to sensor networks and a detection of malicious node using the hash function. This scheme is based on exponential distributed data concept, a derivative from Shamir's (t,n) threshold scheme, in which the authentication of neighbouring nodes are done simultaneously while minimising resources of sensor nodes and providing network scalability.
