Implementation of a RF Transceiver for Sensor Nodes

USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) is used to provide many services such as bridge monitoring, cultural properties monitoring, river monitoring, protection of an old and feeble person, management and control of a city and circumstance monitoring, etc. A RF transceiver is needed for implementing USN. In this paper the implementation and the design of a RF transceiver for sensor nodes operating in 2.4GHz frequency band are presented. The design procedure of AGC, a receiver and a transmitter is described. And the performance of the implemented RF transceiver is also tested. The test results of receiver sensitivity, receiver dynamic range, frequency stability, phase noise, output power of transmitter, flatness and spectrum mask are presented.

According to development of Information Technology and generalization of internet, practical use field of geography information became various. Therefor various Geographic Information System (GIS) constructed to manage geography information efficiently. However, geography information data of various form is depending on graphic authorizing tool of various form being not normalized each other. So, OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) proposed GML(Geography Markup Language) that describe normalized geography information data that can apply mutually and W3C proposed SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) of vector base. In this paper creates GML data of XML base for geography information data processing to vector graphic object, and design and implementation of GML document editing and translation system that define code converter that create GML document through created graphic objects and change vector graphic to logic structure of XML base.
A Scheduling Scheme based on Premium to Support COS(Class of Service) for Satellite On-Board CICQ(Combined Input-Crosspoint Queueing) Crossbar Switch

Satellite application services can be divided into realtime services like voice communications and non-real time services like traditional data communications. To support both types of services on the same On-Board Switching(OBS), a scheduler which depends on their service classes is required. A fixed priority scheduling policy has a starvation problem. In this paper we propose a scheduling scheme based on premium and age. Premium is a fixed value which is given to a certain class of services. Age is another parameter of the scheduling policy and it will be increased by one for every scheduling cycle. The scheme we propose chooses a packet which has the largest sum of its age and premium. Simulation results indicate that the proposed approach shows better performance in both average cell delay and std-dev of cell delay for the lower class of service. There is no staying in infinite starvation state.
Development of Real-time TMS Video Monitoring System

This paper proposes a real time TMS real-time video monitoring system that emphasizes environmental accident precautions. In order to make up for the problems of the existing system, the digital numeric values of air pollution materials and video signals are displayed on the screen in this system. And through this process, air pollution can be monitored in real time. In tile system proposed in this paper, other relevant parts, as well as the managers and field operators of environmental parts, can also monitor the real time changes of air pollution.
Multi-interface Wireless Mesh Network Testbed using Wireless Distribution System

Wireless Mesh Network(WMN) is wireless backbone networks technique which has ease of network configuration and cost of advantage. Recently, WNM released a new product, but most of existing research and technology analysis the performance through the simulation. This paper build the wireless mesh network testbed for actual situation. Testbed supports multi-channel multi-interface using bridge, the Wireless Distribution System and dynamic location-based routing protocol. This routing protocol strongly design against wireless interference using metric for link channel change and real distance. Then, the address of mesh clients assigned by the centralized address management server. Mesh clients is designed and implemented to manage network through Simple Network Management Protocol.
A Analysis on wireless performance of unified data transmission in a subway and railway

In 18GHz using unified data transmission in a subway and railway, Influence of the multipath fading is big and an arrival range of the micro wave takes the influence greatly according to the transmit angle and receive angle because it not diffracted. This thesis analyzed microwave property underground tunnel and ground railway at unified data transmission in subway and railway. Antenna gain of directional antenna many used unified transmission in an subway and railway, is used 15dBi and 10dBi in simulation. Transmitter's property is compared underground tunnel to ground railway about curved railway of R=100, R=200, R=400. Specification of transmitter is used sample unified transmission system in subway and railway of KRRI(korea railroad research Institute). Transmitter's power is 20dBm and Reciever's sensitivity is -90dBm. According to result of simulation.
A Study on Implementation of Authentication System for Home Networking Service

In this paper, we designed the authentication system for home network service and applied it to actual sensor nodes. The pair-wise pre-distribution key skim is applied for prevention of authentication key from sniffing on the wireless sensor networks. The authentication key and data are encrypted by using the CBC mode RC5 algorithm based on the SPINS. The experimental environment consists of a base station (BS)and sensor nodes and each sensor node sends both sensing data and the encrypted authentication key to the BS. For simulations we set up some what-if scenarios of security menaces in home network service.Slightly modified the TOS_Msg data arrays of TinyOS is suggested to store 8-byte authentication key which can enable data encryption and authentication at the each sensor node. As a result, malfunction caused by communication between BS and nodes of other groups of added nodes having malicious purpose can be protected. Also, we confirmed that a critical data of home networking service like vital signal can be transmitted securely through this system by encryption technique.

Design and Implementation of the On-line Aptitude Test System for People with Visual Impairment

Vocational rehabilitation is defined as a process which helps people with disabilities to maintain life of non-disabled people and vocational assessment is a part of it. Traditionally, vocational assessment is performed through using of assessment tools, vocational counseling and so on. It is very efficient to apply vocational assessment to people with disabilities using the internet, but we should provide them with web accessibility. In this paper, we design and implement the aptitude test system for people with visual impairment supporting web accessibility. We develop the aptitude test system using the Holland Test which is the assessment tool of career guidance and counseling. We also show that the aptitude test system for people with visual impairment supports web accessibility more than previous Holland Test which is served in the internet.
An Efficient Method for Transmission of Contour Information in Mobile GIS Environments

For expression of contour lines in mobile GIS environments, the client needs to receive the numerical data with the topographical map from a server. At this point, a client can't get the entire raw data because of the mobile characteristics. The approach to get representative points and to make isogram by interpolation methods, has some problems. The approach requires huge computing overhead at the client and doesn't guarantee the correctness of the isogram. In this paper, a data structure, algorithm and implementation results for efficient transmission of contour information to a client which is constructed from elevation information at a server, are proposed.
A Design of Temperature Sensor Circuit Using CMOS Process

In this work, temperature sensor and control circuit for measuring temperature are proposed. The proposed circuit can be fabricated without additional CMOS fabrication process and the output of proposed circuit is digital value. The supply voltage is 5volts and the circuit is designed by using 0.5
CMOS process. The circuit for measuring temperature consists of PWM control circuit, VCO, counter and register. consisted The frequency of PWM control circuit is 23kHz and the frequency of VCO is 416kHz, 1MHz and 2MHz, respectively. The circuit operation is analyzed by using SPICE.

This paper expands the scope of application of the thin film transistor (TFT) in which it is used as the switching element by making the amorphous silicon TFT with the non-volatile memory device,. It is the thing about the amorphous silicon non-volatile memory device which is suitable to an enlargement and in which this uses the additionally cheap substrate according to the amorphous silicon use. The Implementation of Patient Vital Sign Information Telemedicine System using TMO in Distributed Network Enviroment

In this paper, we present a patient real-time vital sign information transmission system to effectively support developing real-time communication service by using a real-time object model named TMO (Time-Triggered Message-Triggered Object). Also, we describe the application environment as the ICU(Intensive Care Unit) to guarantee real-time service message with TMO structure in distributed network systems. We have to design to obtain useful vital sign information, which is generated at parsing data receiver modulor of HIS with TMO structure, that is offered by the central monitor. Vital sign informations of central monitor is composed of the raw data of several bedsite patient monitors. We are willing to maintain vital sign information of real time and continuity that is generated from the bedsite patient monitor. It is able to apply to remote medical examination and treatment. we proposed integration method between a vital sign database systems and hospital information systems. In the real time simulation techniques based on TMO object modeling, We have observed several advantages to the TMO structuring scheme. TMO object modeling has a strong traceability between requirement specification and design.

Gradual Encryption of Image using LFSR and 2D CAT

In this paper, we propose the gradual encryption method of image using LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register) and 2D CAT(Two-Dimensional Cellular Automata Transform). First, an LFSR is used to create a PN(pseudo noise) sequence, which is identical to the size of the original image. Then the created sequence goes through an XOR operation with the original image resulting to the first encrypted image. Next, the gateway value is set to produce a 2D CAT basis function.The created basis function multiplied with the first encrypted image produces the 2D CAT encrypted image which is the final output. Lastly, the stability analysis verifies that the proposed method holds a high encryption quality status.

The effect of acupuncture that occurs at Meridians, can not be defined by western science. But we can find out the electrical effects when acupuncturing by measuring the charges meridians electric potential. So instead of using a needle to acupuncture, we used a electromagnet to give the same effect. We stimulated the meridians, with a electromagnet. Then we observed the pattern of the meridians potential, that occurred at ST-39 and ST-37. After doing clinical experiments with the acupuncture stimulation and the electromagnet stimulation. We found out the acupuncture stimulation and the electromagnet stimulations electric waves were similar. From this result, we knew it was possible to give similar effects to acupuncture stimulation by using electromagnets.
Implementation of a Remote Patient Monitoring System using Mobile Phones

In the monitoring of a patient in a sickroom, not only the physiologic and environmental data of the patient, which is automatically measured, but also the clinical data(clinical chart)of the patient, which is drew up by a doctor or nurse, are recognized as important data. However, since in the current environment of a sickroom, clinical data is collected being divided from the data that is automatically measured, the two data are used without an effective integration. This is because the integration of the two data is difficult due to their different collection times, which leads the reconstruction of clinical data to be remarkably uncertain. In order to solve these problems, a method to synchronize the continuous environmental data of a sickroom and clinical data is appearing as an important measure. In addition, the increase of use of small machines and the development of solutions based on wireless communications provide a communication platform to the developers of health care. Thus, this paper realizes a remote system for taking care of patients based on a web that uses mobile phones. That is, clinical data made by a nurse or doctor and the environmental data of a sick room comes to be collected by a collection module through a wireless sensor network. An observer can see clinical data and the environmental data of a sickroom through his/her mobile phone, integrating and storing his/her data into the database. Families of a patient can see clinical data made by hospital and the environment of the sick room of the patent through their computers or mobile phones outside the hospital. Through the system,hospital can provide better medical services to patients and their families.
Performance Analysis of Two-Level Frame Aggregation in IEEE 802.11n

Frame Aggregation is a promissing technology for improving MAC throughput in IEEE 802.11n. In IEEE 802.11n, two frame aggregation schemes, Aggregate MSDU (A-MSDU) and Aggregation MPDU (A-MPDU), are defined. In this paper, we analyze the performance the two-level frame aggregation scheme where A-MSDU and A-MPDU are combined. We develop the analytical model for the two-level frame aggregation scheme and present numerical results on the effect of bit error rate, aggregation size, and the number of nodes.
Cloud Analysis Using a Fuzzy Reasoning Method

In this paper, we proposed a method to analyze kind of clouds using a fuzzy reasoning method. In the proposed method, we used the clues that G channel value is dominant from RGB color values in land areas and B channel value is dominant in the sea areas discovered by the analyses of both visible images and infrared images. By these information, R and B channel values are applied to land areas and R and G channel values are applied to the sea areas. Noise areas(areas except cloud areas) are removed from a visible image and an infrared image by a threshold value, and then land areas and the sea areas are discriminated from the noise removed image. Cloud areas are extracted from discriminated areas using R, G, B channel values and a fuzzy reasoning method, and finally kind of clouds is decided by combining same cloud areas included in both the visible image and the infrared image. In comparison with a conventional quantization method, we verified that the performance of cloud analysis by the proposed method is more efficient through experiments.
Study on Sound Quality Improvement in Bluetooth Headset

Todays, many young people suffer from noise-induced hearing loss by using wearable hearing devices, such as Bluetooth headset. This paper present hearing loss reduction and more natural volumn control algorithms considering individual hearing characteristics and threshold of feeling for Bluetooth headset. Experimental results using CSR Bluetooth headset example design board(DEV-PC-1645) show that individuals maybe able to perceive without the inconvenience at the less sound intensity and the more sensitive frequency bands. As a result, we may prevent hearing loss to reduce excessive sound energy in each frequency bands.
Weighted cost aggregation approach for depth extraction of stereo images

Stereo vision system is useful method for inferring 3D depth information from two or more images. So it has been the focus of attention in this field for a long time. Stereo matching is the process of finding correspondence points in two or more images. A central problem in a stereo matching is that it is difficult to satisfy both the computation time problem and accuracy at the same time. To resolve this problem, we proposed a new stereo matching technique using weighted cost aggregation. To begin with, we extract the weight in given stereo images based on features. We compute the costs of the pixels in a given window using correlation of weighted color and brightness information. Then, we match pixels in a given window between the reference and target images of a stereo pair. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm, we provide experimental data from several synthetic and real scenes. The experimental results show the improved accuracy of the proposed method.
Improvement of Modeling Capability of GMDH Algorithm with Interlayer Connection

The GMDH(Group Method of Data Handling) algorithm can be used to model the complex nonlinear systems. The traditional GMDH algorithm produces the output of the system model in the output layer through the input layer and the intermediate layers as the prescribed process. The outputs of each layer are produced only by the outputs of the former layer. However among the inputs there may be the inputs which can influence the modeling result more than the other inputs. Therefore in this paper the method which improve the modeling capability by interlayer connection of more influential inputs is proposed. The capability improvement of the proposed algorithm compared to the traditional algorithm is verified through computer simulation.
Mobile Sink Supporting Routing Protocol using Agent of Cluster Node

Sensor networks are vulnerable to data congestion and hot-spot compared with wireless networks. Mobile sink supporting route protocol has such problems as hot-spot and data congestion because agent of cluster node transmits all data packet. Therefore, mobile sink supporting route protocol needs to reduce the number of packets and keep the packets from concentrating on a single node. To solve these problems, we propose mobile sink supporting routing Protocol using agent of cluster node. Cutting down on the number of packets compared with the existing mobile sink supporting routing Protocol, our proposed protocol has reduced both communication overhead and energy consumption.
ECG Monitoring using High-Reliability Functional Wireless Sensor Node based on Ad-hoc network

A novel approach for electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis within a functional sensor node has been developed and evaluated. The main aim is to reduce data collision, traffic overload and power consumption in healthcare applications of wireless sensor networks(WSN). The sensor node attached on the patient's body surface around the heart can perform ECG analysis based on a QRS detection algorithm to detect abnormal condition of the patient. Data transfer is activated only after detected abnormality in the ECG. This system can reduce packet loss during transmission by reducing traffic overload. In addition, it saves power supply energy leading to more reliable, cheap and user-friendly operation in the WSN for ubiquitous health monitoring.
CACH Distributed Clustering Protocol Based on Context-aware

In this paper, we proposed a new method, the CACH(Context-aware Clustering Hierarchy) algorithm in Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET) systems. The proposed CACH algorithm based on hybrid and clustering protocol that provide the reliable monitoring and control of a variety of environments for remote place. To improve the routing protocol in MANET, energy efficient routing protocol would be required as well as considering the mobility would be needed. The proposed analysis could help in defining the optimum depth of hierarchy architecture CACH utilize. Also, the proposed CACH could be used localized condition to enable adaptation and robustness for dynamic network topology protocol and this provide that our hierarchy to be resilient. As a result, our simulation results would show that a new method for CACH could find energy efficient depth of hierarchy of a cluster.
A Study on Difference in Tendency of Undergraduates with Reliance on Factors of Online Game Addiction

The purpose of this study is to suggest a countermeasure against a major cause that leads to game addiction, by grasping tendency of the actual condition for the online game use in freshmen for university and by analyzing relationship of game addiction according to factors. As a result of analyzing on relationship among sub-variables for game addiction, it could be known that the more men in gender leads to the more serious game addiction and that the longer game time given using once leads to the higher level in control loss and game addiction. Also, it was indicated that the more in group with high risk leads to the more serious in physical and mental problem. There is a suggestion that a scale related to game is developed for the expansion in counseling institution nationwide and for the preventive education targeting all the ages including undergraduates and adults as well as small children and children.
Production of 3D Mongyudowondo with Reinterpretation of Traditional Paintings

Culture is not only a factor of a life worthy of man, but also that of beauty and fluency of life,so it works as a key to show differences in the quality of life. Paying attention to culture, which plays a role to create new things, is a source of high-added value. The term of cultural contents was derived in21C, combining digital skills with art. We are going to reconstruct and develope cultural properties such as remains, pottery, pictures, as a way of restoration for cultural contents with the view of reinterpretation. In this paper, we reinterpreted the pictures which were based on three particular elements in Chosun Dinasty- poetry, handwriting, and picture, and we produced 3D objects after analyzing texts and images in multimedia works applied with source pictures. As a highlighted method of restoration for cultural contents, we produced the work which can be interacted and has three dimensional objects getting out of appreciating of plane images. We presented a method of informing our culture with 3D Mong-yu-do-won-do, which used traditional paintings by being improved user friendliness and accessibility.
Development of RAM in Millimeter Wave Range for RF Stealth

In this paper, stealth technology, which minimizes detection from the enemy, was analyzed and it was confirmed that Most RCS reduction comes from shaping and in specific parts, by applying RAM. Therefore, we designed and manufactured RAM that absorbs 98% of electromagnetic wave at 94 GHz with 17dB of radar absorption property to minimize RCS at milimeter wave range. As a result, we had 62% reduction in the detection range from the enemy by using developed RAM.
