Service Coverage Enhancement due to Output Power of Korean Land-based DGPS

The DGPS systems that is a GPS augmentation system were installed for ocean- and land-service. The ocean-based reference station of 11 site and the land-based reference station of 6 sites are operating for ocean- and land-service. Although the land-based reference stations provide the output power of 500W, the service shadow regions are occurred due to mountain lands and building area. In this paper, the service coverages for land-based reference stations are analyzed in conditions of output power enhancements of reference station. The service shadow areas are deduced from service coverages of land-based reference stations and ocean-based reference stations. The medium frequency-band wave propagation models are considered as DGPS wave propagation model. The service coverages are analyzed by considering the compensated ground surface-conductivity.

The external quality factor (
) is controlled by coupling condition between resonator and input/output ports in design of microwave filter. In this paper, we represent extracting method of external quality factor using phase response for resonator with input/output ports according to position of feed line from microstrip line resonator. The results regarding to position, coupling gap and line width for tapped line and coupled line structure are represented, and we got the exact
value from the this method. This results will be applied to coupled resonator filter design.
Designed of Intelligent Solar Tracking System using Fuzzy State-Space Partitioning Method

In photovoltaic(PV) system, for obtaining maximum efficiency of solar power systems, the solar tracking system must be controlled to match position of the sun. In this paper, we design the solar tracking system to track movement of the sun using CdS sensor modules and to determine direction of the sun under shadow of directions. In addition, for an intelligent computation in tracking of the sun, a fuzzy controller is allocated to space avaliable for splitting area of fuzzy part for the fuzzy input space(grid-type fuzzy partition) in which a fuzzy grid partition divides fuzzy rules bases. As well, a simple model of solar tracking system is designed by two-axis motor control systems and the 8-direction sensor module that can measure shadow from CdS sensor modules by matching of axis of CdS modules and PV panels. We demonstrate this systems is effective for fixed location and moving vessels and our fuzzy controller can track the satisfactorily.

Recently, technology of self diagnosis system which one of health-care has been research very active. With this, In this paper, we have to implement the self-blood sugar measurement system that is interlock with PC, RFID, and Bio-Signal glucose tester and accessible user interface. Therefore the equipments can performs accessible interface composition for communication between devices and PC, analysis and test of communication status of the RFID tag and reader that it easy to obtain the data of self-diagnosis linkage with PC, RFID, and Bio-Signal glucose tester. In other words, as result of communication protocol experiment with self-blood sugar measurement data, it has been showed to display a high-reliability result through year, month, and day, body temperature, and levels and check point of blood glucose.

In this paper, we use the earth's magnetic field is measured by the MR device. By analyzing the measured data to determine the direction to implement the system. The construction of the system to determine the direction of neural networks, using input data based on an analysis of the relationship between pattern formation and characteristics of study and related information through a pattern when it is remembered that the output feedback input to associative networks and proves its feasibility for implementation. The entire detection system with regional changes in the Earth's magnetic field to adapt to the environment should aim to build a system.
Classification of Speech and Car Noise Signals using the Slope of Autocovariances in Frequency Domain

Speech signal and car noise signal such as muffler noise are segregated from the one which has both signals mixed using statistical method. To classify speech signal from the other in segregated signals, FFT coefficients were obtained for all segments of a signal where each segment consists of 128 elements of a signal. For several coefficients of FFT corresponding to the low frequencies of a signal, autocovariances are calculated between coefficients of same order of all segments of a signal. Then they were averaged over autocovariances. Linear equation was eatablished for the those autocovariances using the linear regression method for each siganl. The coefficient of the slope of the line gives reference to compare and decide what the speech signal is. It is what this paper proposes. The results show it is very useful.
Collision Performance Improvement in Orthogonal Code Hopping Multiplexing Systems Using Multiple Antennas

An orthogonal code hopping multiplexing (OCHM) technique has been proposed for accommodating a large number of users with low channel activities than the number of orthogonal codewords through statistical multiplexing in downlink cellular systems. In this paper, a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna based OCHM system is proposed to improve the performance. Each modulated symbol is repeated N times and the N repeated symbols are transmitted simultaneously using N transmit antennas. Through repetitions, the effect of perforations that the OCHM system experiences is decentralized among the repeated symbols and the full perforation probability is significantly reduced. Each receiver detect the transmitted signal using its pre-assigned code hopping pattern. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme saves the required energy for a given frame error rate (FER).
Spectral Efficiency Evaluation of Coordinated Multi-point Systems Based on System Level Simulations

In this paper, so as to improve spectral efficiency for cell-boundary users, we introduce a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) system, which is one of inter-cell cooperative transmission strategies studied in 3GPP long-term evolution-advanced (LTE-A) systems, and develop a system-level simulator to evaluate performance. To identify performance improvement of the system with inter-cell cooperative transmission, we select a 3GPP LTE system as a reference, which shows the highest performance among the existing mobile communication systems, and conduct a performance comparison. System-level simulation is performed based on widely-used OPNET tool. We implement modules including central unit (CU), CoMP eNodeB (CeNB), user equipment (UE), and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel model, while designing the inter-cell cooperative transmission system. Under WINNER wireless channel model and international telecommunication union (ITU) network model environments, we then evaluate the performance of edge users who belong to the lower 5% in terms of spectral efficiency. It is finally shown that throughput of the proposed CoMP system gets improved up to 2.5 times compared to that of the 3GPP LTE reference system.

The WLAN and WPAN systems employed on 2.4GHz ISM band wireless networks provide complementary services within the same environments. Coexistence between the networks will be impaired, if the mutual packets are uncertainty associated the timing or gaussian distance. This paper analyzes the impact of the mutual interference on the services performance and in order to minimize the effect of WPAN system signals on the WLAN system, proposed a method of suppressing the interference on the WLAN system. The analysis is illustrated by examining the symbol error rate versus signal to noise interference ratio in terms of the carrier frequency offset.

In general, existed kiosk using touch-screen based kiosk system has been used by only single user, so that multiple users to access this kiosk need to provide a lot of waiting time and maintenance costs. To solve this problem, the framework design based on Bluetooth profile for kiosk servers is presented. The proposed kiosk system can be more efficiently used in theater, train station, bank, government, and public offices by using Bluetooth module and AP in mobile system such as smart phone.
Design of a New 3-D 16-ary Signal Constellation with Constant Envelope

In this paper, design of a new 3-dimensional (3-D) 16-ary signal constellation with constant envelope is presented and analyzed. Unlike the conventional 16-ary constellations, all signal points of the new constellation are uniformly located on the surface of a sphere so that they have a unique amplitude level and a symmetrical structure. When average power of the constellations is normalized, the presented 16-ary constellation has around 11.4% increased minimum Euclidean distance (MED) as compared to the conventional ones that have non-constant envelope. As a result, a digital communication system which exploits the presented constellation has 1.2dB improved symbol error rate (SER). While signal points of the conventional constant-envelope constellation are not distributed uniformly on the surface of a sphere, those of the proposed constellation has a completely symmetric distribution. In addition, the new signal constellation has much lower computational complexity for practical implementation than the conventional one. Hence, the proposed 3-D 16-ary signal constellation is appropriate for the application to a communication system which strongly requires a constant-envelope characteristic.

In this paper, we designed 2D, 2.5D cloth design system and a 3D cloth animation system. They make the 3D cloth animation possible by using coordinate points extracted from 2D and 2.5D cloth design system in order to realize a system that allows customers to wear clothes in the virtual space. To make natural draping, it uses for description the mesh creation and transformation algorithms, path extraction algorithm, warp algorithm, and brightness extraction and application algorithms. The coordinate points extracted here are received as text format data and inputted as clothing information in the cloth file. Moreover, the cloth file has a 2D pattern and is realized to be used in the 3D cloth animation system. The 3D cloth animation system generated in this way builds a web-based fashion mall using ISB (Internet Space Builder) and lets customers view the clothing animation on the web by adding the animation process to the simulation result.

Rapid surge in date quantity lead to increase in storage demand from corporate. The existing SAN with fiber channel is being changed to IP-based SAN environment due to installment and maintenance cost. But the IP-based network still have some similar security problems as existing TCP/IP network. Also, for the security reasons of storage traffic, data are encrypted, but with the existing system, data larger than 10G can't be handled. To address security and speed issue, this paper proposes to a structure applied to IP SAN environment with Parallel Structure Word-based FSR (PS-WFSR) as hardware.

Security is a significant concern for many sensor network applications. Intrusion detection is one method of defending against attacks. However, standard intrusion detection techniques are not suitable for sensor networks with limited resources. In this paper, propose a new method for selecting and managing the detect nodes in IDS(intrusion detection system) for anomaly detection in sensor networks and the node scheduling technique for maximizing the IDS's lifetime. Using the genetic algorithm, developed the solutions for suggested optimization equation and verify the effectiveness of proposed methods by simulations.

With the development of wireless network technology, Storing the location information of a spatiotemporal object was very necessary. Each spatiotemporal object has many unnecessariness location information, hence it is inefficient to search all trajectory information of spatiotemporal objects. In this paper, we propose an efficient method which increase searching efficiency. Using EMBR(Extend Minimun Bounding Rectangle), an LinearMarge split algorithm that minimizes the volume of MBRs is designed and simulated. Our experimental evaluation confirms the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed splitting policy.
An Implementation of Positioning System using Multiple Data in Smart Phone

Recently, navigation system is used to inform users of vehicle location and driving direction, moving distance and so on. This navigation uses GPS sensor for current location determination. The GPS sensor will determinate current coordinates by using triangulation algorithm. This characteristic bring about that the GPS signal is not available in the shadow region such as tunnel and urban canyon. Moreover, Even though the signal is available, inherent positional error rate of the GPS often results in the dislocation of vehicle. To solve, these problems, a new positioning system is proposed in the paper. The System utilizes geomagnetic sensors of smartphone, speed information of CAN of vehicle though bluetooth and WiFi APs for GPS shadow area. The experimental test shadows that the proposed system using multiple data is able to determine the position of vehicle in GPS shadow areas.
Development of Application Service for Secure Container Transport Based on CSD

In this paper, we describe application service development for secure land and marine transport based on CSD (Conveyance Security Device) systems. Based on CSD systems, we present application service and security service according to relevant standards as well as test procedure of developed services. Exploiting temperature, moisture, impact sensors, state monitoring function of container freight was developed to prevent disaster during transportation in addition to security function with CSD. For confidentiality of messages exchanged among application service entity and CSD systems, Encryption and decryption functions going by RC5 and AES-128 algorithms were implemented at desktop PC and 8 bit CPU environments, respectively. Measuring the elapsed time during encryption and decryption shows that two algorithms are allowable for the application service.

In this paper, we design a 32-bit eFuse OTP memory for PMICs using MagnaChip's
process. We solve a problem of an electrical shortage between an eFuse link and the VSS of a p-substrate in programming by placing an n-well under the eFuse link. Also, we propose a WL driver circuit which activates the RWL (read word-line) or WWL (write word-line) of a dual-port eFuse OTP memory cell selectively when a decoded WERP (WL enable for read or program) signal is inputted to the eFuse OTP memory directly. Furthermore, we reduce the layout area of the control circuit by removing a delay chain in the BL precharging circuit. We'can obtain an yield of 100% at a program voltage of 5.5V on 94 manufactured sample dies when measured with memory tester equipment.
Analysis of Subthreshold Swing for Oxide Thickness and Doping Distribution in DGMOSFET

In this paper, the relationship of potential and charge distribution in channel for double gate(DG) MOSFET has been derived from Poisson's equation using Gaussian function. The relationship of subthreshold swing and oxide thickness has been investigated according to variables of doping distribution using Gaussian function, i.e. projected range and standard projected deviation, The analytical potential distribution model has been derived from Poisson's equation, and subthreshold swing has been obtained from this model for the change of oxide thickness. The subthreshold swing has been defined as the derivative of gate voltage to drain current and is theoretically minimum of 60 mS/dec, and very important factor in digital application. Those results of this potential model are compared with those of numerical simulation to verify this model. As a result, since potential model presented in this paper is good agreement with numerical model, the relationship of subthreshold swing and oxide thickness have been analyzed according to the shape of doping distribution.
ST Segment Shape Classification Algorithm for Making Diagnosis of Myocardial Ischemia

ECG is used to diagnose heart diseases such as myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia and myocardial infarction. Particularly, myocardial ischemia causes the shape change of the ST segment, this change is transient and may occur without symptoms. So it is important to detect the transient change of ST segment through long term monitoring. ST segment classification algorithm for making diagnosis myocardial ischemia is presented in this paper. The first step in the ST segment shape classification process is to detect R wave point and feature points based adaptive threshold and window. And then, the suggested algorithm detects the ST level change, To classify the ST segment shape, the suggested algorithm uses the slope values of the four points between the S and T wave. The ECG data in the European ST-T database were used to verify the performance of the developed algorithm. The best correct rate was 99.40% and the worst correct rate was 68.48%.
A Study on the Eye-line Detection from Facial Image taken by Smart Phone

In this paper, the extract method of eye and eye-line from picture of a person is proposed. Most of existing papers are to extract the position of eyeball but in this paper, by extracting not only the position of eyeball but also eye-line, it can be applied to the face application program variously. The experimental data of the input picture is a full face photograph taken by smart phone, basically the picture is limited to the face of one person and back ground can be taken from every where and no restriction of race. The proposed method is to extract face candidated area by using Harr Classifier and set up the candidate area of eye position from face candidate area. To extract high value from eye candidate area using dilate operation, and proposed the method to classify eye and eyelash by local thresholding of the picture. After that, using thresholding image from eyemapC that Hsu's suggested, and separated the area with eye and without eye. Finally extract the contour of eye and detect eye-line using optimum ellipse estimation.
A Study on Image Restoration for Removing Mixed Noise while Considering Edge Information

In image signal processing, image signal is corrupted by various noises and caused the degradation phenomenon. And Images often corrupted by AWGN(additive white gaussian noise) and impulse noise which called mixed noise. In this paper, the algorithm is proposed to remove mixed noise while keeping edge information. The proposed algorithm first classifies the noise type, if the classify result is AWGN, then the mean of the output after using self-adaptive weighted mean filter and median value will be the outfiltering value. And if the noise type is impulse noise, then the noise is removed by a modified nonlinear filter. Also we compare existing methods through the simulation and using PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio) as the standard of judgement of improvement effect. The result of computer simulation on test images indicates that the proposed method is superior to traditional filtering algorithms.
Performance of Multiple Coordinators-based RFID Reader Protocol

In this paper, we propose a coordinator-based reader protocol that can avoid reader collisions in a passive RFID system. In a proposed protocol, unlike conventional protocols that a reader itself selects its own slot randomly to communicate with tags such as DCS, Colorwave, a coordinator reader allocates an unused slot to a reader to participate in the network and sends a current slot number. A reader allocated a slot can communicate with tags. The proposed protocol can adaptively modified to apply for multiple coordinator readers environment in a wide area. This causes reader collision problem, but can be alleviated partly by applying the frequency planning. In this way, we verifies that a RFID system using the proposed protocol is three to five times better than existing systems through the simulation.
The energy efficient traffic control mechanism in Wireless Sensor Network

Sensor nodes in Wireless sensor network have limited resources and consume almost all energy to the communication. For its traffic feature as a burst traffic type toward a sink node, it has high probability to network congestion. Network congestion causes packet drops and retransmission of dropped packets draws energy consumption. In particular, the loss of packet that is from the sensor node far away from a sink node requires additional energy consumption by frequent retransmission. This paper presents a traffic control mechanism that determines packet transfer by considering priority of packet and congestion level as well as hop count. Analysis of proposed mechanism by simulation demonstrated that it improved energy efficiency.

This paper presents an u-health Care system based on context-awareness information. Extended project induced an education for creative engineering design. It could occur one of the issue for life care or wellness in recently life. Especially u-health Care system help on achieving this object as an efficient care-training with user blood pressure or with echocardiogram, electromyogram, electroencephalogram, or Electrocardiography. In this paper, development project show an u-health care system based on this parameters of the context-awareness with network service and analysis provide with working memory(DB) for user data base applications.
Design of Web application for Deep-sea fishing Sailing Information based by RIA

The company which have deep-sea fishing vessel have to improve their voyage dashboard that was operating by manually to grasp sailing information of fishing vessel. This thesis design sailing information that is ship location on the globe, a catch of fish, and line of longitude and latitude to display on the map more visually by using on-line PC or DID (Digital Information Display). Thesis considered about designing web application which is available to visualize sailing information of 37 deep-sea fishing vessels in operation by using Flash-based RIA technology. This system was improving operator's and administrator's satisfaction of using information because, It make possible not only to grasp status of many vessels in one display but also to monitoring situation and deciding process.
Implementation of Augmented Reality using Marker in e_Book

Recently as AR(Augmented Reality) is focus of attention, AR is applied to various fields and is expected its valuable use. In this paper, we suggested the method to combine existing e_Book with augmented reality technology based on mobile equipment. We ascertained that augmented reality contents implemented on PC work well in pITX embedded lines (CPU Intel ATOM Z530) and we implemented augmented reality using marker in e_ Book in pITX embedded lines through these experiments. As the result of it, we could show the contents at the same time which had difficulty to be expressed on e_Book before. Also the existing augmented reality contents could be used as it is. Finally we expected that the user could interact with virtual contents or services directly and intuitively in the real world.
