A Study on Comparative Analysis on Interconnection charging and Settlement Methodology under NGN

It is important to set the new interconnection system under NGN. The traditional interconnection system is based on traffic, but this is not suitable for IP based service. Therefore, it is needed to ensure the universal access to network without trouble about the network topology. This paper prepares the evaluation criteria and evaluates the alternatives. Specifically, we deduce the alternatives and evaluates the alternatives of interconnection settlement system based on the condition of efficient interconnection, the retail price and access charging model, and the previous studies evaluating and examining the various alternatives. Finally, we evaluate each alternatives by the criteria.

For the driving of the sinusoidal type permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum continuous torque, the 1200 delayed three phase sinusoidal current inputs which matched with the absolute rotor position are needed at the stator coil. Therefore, the detection of a absolute rotor position is required inevitably. And the right angle relationship between stator magnetic field and rotor magnetic field has to be preserved at a stator by this commutation action. The detection of a absolute position for the commutation can be made generally by the output signal analysis of the encoder attached at a motor shaft. The purposes of this study are to design signal processing logic circuits which could detect the absolute position of motor with a modern encoder system and generate the three reference wave for making sinusoidal current input at a stator coil.

To improve the performance of mobile communication systems, beamforming technology is being considered. However, the number of antenna should be more than four to implement beamforming technology. Therefore, the existing 2-Tx RU (radio unit) for
MIMO (multiple input multiple output) should be replaced by 4-Tx RU for beamforming function. In this paper, we propose a new method to implement 4-Tx beamforming RU reusing the existing 2-Tx RU. We think that our method is very useful from the viewpoint of cost and environment because the existing 2-Tx RUs can be reused.
Performance of SFBC OFDM Transmission Systems Using PSAM Technique

Pilot symbol assisted modulation (PSAM) can be used for the channel estimation in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission systems. However, imperfect channel estimates in PSAM systems degrade the bit error rate (BER) performance. I derive the BER of PSAM OFDM systems over time dispersive fading channels. The BER performance of OFDM systems with SFBC antenna diversity are analyzed, where data is transmitted over time and frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. The performance of this PSAM SFBC OFDM systems, gauged by the average bit error rate, is analyzed considering the channel estimation error.
Design and Performance Analysis of the Multichannel I. F. Transceiver for Broadband Multimedia System

In this paper, the multichannel intermediate frequency transceiver for broadband multimedia system is designed and the experimental results are analyzed. Basic elements of the transceiver such as frequency synthesizer, amplifier, mixer, automatic gain control amplifier are introduced. The analysis technique described here applies not only to amplifier but also to any other nonlinear components such as mixers and frequency doubler. Through the investigation of the power spectrum density of the transmitted signal, the phase noise of the local oscillator is evaluated below 70 dBc/kHz. The frequency characteristics of the modulated signal is flat within the system bandwidth. Also the effects of adjacent channel interference and supurious emission are analyzed. And the function of automatic gain control amplifier is well operated.
Experiments and its analysis on the Identification of Indoor Location by Visible Light Communication using LED lights

Recently, because of complex cultural space, underground space are becoming larger. Therefore, the demand for location-based services is growing. VLC (Visible Light Communication) is based on the LED lighting infrastructure so that suitable LBS (Location-based service) is possible for the targeted places in indoor space. To experiment with indoor LBS by VLC, we measure the identification distance according to variable angles between LED and photo diode. We send the different ASCII code for each LED light, then we found the maximum identification distance is 1.75m from LED lights. From the results of this experiment, we show that indoor navigation is possible.

DMX512 protocol is a typical protocol which controls LED lighting system. It has a strong feature and can be used to a lot of lighting system. But LED control system with cable has a few problem because they have a lot of control cables. It is very difficult to set up the complex lighting. Furthermore if it is set up it is not easy to keep and recover the system from the out of order. So it is required Wireless Lighting Control System. This paper describes the proposal, design, and implementation of a novel method which can provide versatile light effects with the increased capability of the mobility and the number of universes for Wireless Lighting system. And then we implement experiment environment to control indoor lighting system controled by ZigBee and WLAN converter not having complicating control line. Data frames are transferred to DMX512 device by encapsulation and decapsulation to control color LED. In the same time give the method to solve the data bottleneck problem which can be comes out because of speed difference between Heterogeneous network and measure performance of control system.
Hand Interface using Intelligent Recognition for Control of Mouse Pointer

In this paper, the proposed method is recognized the hands using color information with input image of the camera. It controls the mouse pointer using recognized hands. In addition, specific commands with the mouse pointer is designed to perform. Most users felt uncomfortable since existing interaction multimedia systems depend on a particular external input devices such as pens and mouse However, the proposed method is to compensate for these shortcomings by hand without the external input devices. In experimental methods, hand areas and backgrounds are separated using color information obtaining image from camera. And coordinates of the mouse pointer is determined using coordinates of the center of a separate hand. The mouse pointer is located in pre-filled area using these coordinates, and the robot will move and execute with the command. In experimental results, the recognition of the proposed method is more accurate but is still sensitive to the change of color of light.
A Design of Time-based Anomaly Intrusion Detection Model

In the method to analyze the relationship in the system call orders, the normal system call orders are divided into a certain size of system call orders to generates gene and use them as the detectors. In the method to consider the system call parameters, the mean and standard deviation of the parameter lengths are used as the detectors. The attack of which system call order is normal but the parameter values are changed, such as the format string attack, cannot be detected by the method that considers only the system call orders, whereas the model that considers only the system call parameters has the drawback of high positive defect rate because of the information obtained from the interval where the attack has not been initiated, since the parameters are considered individually. To solve these problems, it is necessary to develop a more efficient learning and detecting method that groups the continuous system call orders and parameters as the approach that considers various characteristics of system call related to attacking simultaneously. In this article, we detected the anomaly of the system call orders and parameters by applying the temporal concept to the system call orders and parameters in order to improve the rate of positive defect, that is, the misjudgment of anomaly as normality. The result of the experiment where the DARPA data set was employed showed that the proposed method improved the positive defect rate by 13% in the system call order model where time was considered in comparison with that of the model where time was not considered.
A Robust Digital Watermarking based on Virtual Optics

In this paper, we propose a novel digital watermarking method by virtual optics which secures multimedia information such as images, videos and sounds. To secure the multimedia data, we use Fresnel transform which describes the diffraction phenomena of the waves. Also, this method attaches the random phase function to Fresnel transform so that original image and watermark image would be gaussian random vectors. The complex numbers of watermark by Fresnel transform are separated the real part and the imaginary part. The former is embedded in original image as a encoding key imperceptibly and the latter is used for detecting the watermark as a decoding key. This method for digital watermarking ensures that watermark can be successfully registered and extracted from the watermarked image. Further, it provides the robustness to signal processing operation and geometric distortion and proves the strong resilience against cropping attack. The performance evaluation of the experiment is carried out with PSNR, and the numerical simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed method.
EDI Document Processing System for Port Logistics

Last port logistics for the EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) document processing system using a rapid increase in the complaint is handled. However, the existing system in a way that the script processing EDI documents, but the complexity of the script writing and document processing efficiency, lower consumption due to increased demand for processing has not kept up. Therefore, we changed the script in a way how to handle the binary system was designed and implemented. Also used for port logistics has developed 12 types of EDI documents. Accordingly, the document processing speed compared to existing methods are improved twelvefold port logistics system for processing EDI documents are expected to be utilized.
A Secure Mobile Message Authentication Over VANET

Vehicular Ad Hoc Network(VANET) using wireless network is offering the communications between vehicle and vehicle(V2V) or vehicle and infrastructure(V2I). VANET is being actively researched from industry field and university because of the rapid developments of the industry and vehicular automation. Information, collected from VANET, of velocity, acceleration, condition of road and environments provides various services related with safe drive to the drivers, so security over network is the inevitable factor. For the secure message authentication, a number of authentication proposals have been proposed. Among of them, a scheme, proposed by Jung, applying database search algorithm, Bloom filter, to RAISE scheme, is efficient authentication algorithm in a dense space. However, k-anonymity used for obtaining the accurate vehicular identification in the paper has a weak point. Whenever requesting the righteous identification, all hash value of messages are calculated. For this reason, as the number of car increases, a amount of hash operation increases exponentially. Moreover the paper does not provide a complete key exchange algorithm while the hand-over operation. In this paper, we use a Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI) based velocity and distance estimation algorithm to localize the identification and provide the secure and efficient algorithm in which the problem of hand-over algorithm is corrected.
Personalized Book Recommendation System based on Semantic Web

In this paper, we propose a semantic web approach for personalized book recommendation. Our approach takes advantage of the content-based recommendation and improves its disadvantage that users should input their interesting fields into all book search systems they use. Our approach provides the sharing of users' profile with their interesting fields by enabling user's interesting fields to be described over each book classification ontology of various book information providers. We also provide a middleware that manages users' profiles written in RDF and analizes similarity between user's interesting field and each concept over the book classification ontology. Our approach provide better performance than traditional keyword-based search by sharing the user's profile among book recommendation systems.
Design of the Recovery Scheme for the Bidirectional Synchronization System on Mobile Environments

It is possible to synchronize the spatio-temporal data with a server using a wireless network. These data has the benefit to be up-to-date and able to service to the user efficiently. However, the mobile devices or the wireless network are very vulnerable to various hard or soft failures. If an failure occurs during a synchronization process, the spatio-temporal data which is synchronizing could be inconsistent state. In this paper, we propose the recovery scheme to solve the problem caused by the errors which occur during the synchronization on mobile environments. The proposed scheme writes the log records for the synchronization process into the both local storages of the server and the mobile client. When the errors arise, the data which are synchronizing are recovered using the written log records. Also, we design and implement the proposed recovery scheme on the synchronization system.
Design and Implementation of Multistage Database for Shipboard by using Data Sampling

Several data from equipments on shipboard have been used for the safe navigation of ships. Due to the varieties of data, however, there may be difficulties to manage those data separately. Therefore, it can be effective to develop database for the integrated management of ship data. However, the database may become full soon because huge amount of data are saved continuously. To cope with this problem, this paper proposes multistage database which can always keep the database under full by means of sampling mechanism. To verify the functionality of the methodology, a prototype system has been implemented and tested.
Design of Frequency to Analog-Voltage Converter

The operation of current conveyor circuit is similar to an operational amplifier and a current conveyor circuit has the characteristics such as good linearity and stability. In this paper, a frequency-to-voltage converter circuit is designed by using a current conveyor circuit. The supply voltage is 5volts and the designed circuit is simulated by HSPICE. The range of the input frequency is from 4kHz to 200kHz. From the simulation results the error of the output voltages is less than from -1.3% to +2.5% compared to the calculated values.

In this paper a wideband frequency synthesizer is designed for DTV tuners using a
CMOS process. It satisfies the DTV frequency band(48~1675MHz). A scheme is proposed to cover the full band using only one VCO and reliable broadband characteristics are achieved by reducing the variations of VCO gains and frequency steps. Low-Power DTMB Deinterleaver Structure Using Buffer Transformation and Single-Pointer Register Structure

This paper proposes a DTMB deinterleaver structure to reduce the SDRAM power consumption with buffer conversion and the single pointer-register structure. The DTMB deinterleaver with deep interleaving for higher performance consists of long delay buffers allocated on SDRAM. The conventional structure activates a new SDRAM row almost everytime when it reads and writes a datum. In the proposed structure, long buffers are transformed into several short buffers so that the number of row activations is reduced. The single pointer-register structure solves the problem of many pointer-registers. The experimental results show that the SDRAM power consumption can be reduced to around 37% with slight logic area reduction.

Auto exposure (AE) in image signal processor (ISP) controls brightness of input image to the proper brightness when it is too dark or bright. But conventional AEs often fail to get proper brightness since AE controls only average brightness of image. Especially in applications that require object recognition, it cannot be solved the problem by AE of ISP. In this paper proposes Histogram Equalization (HE) processes that is the alternative of AE. It also proposes proper method to realize hardware and compensate HE problems conventional by using simple calculation.
Depth Map Pre-processing using Gaussian Mixture Model and Mean Shift Filter

In this paper, we propose a new pre-processing algorithm applied to depth map to improve the coding efficiency. Now, 3DV/FTV group in the MPEG is working for standard of 3DVC(3D video coding), but compression method for depth map images are not confirmed yet. In the proposed algorithm, after dividing the histogram distribution of a given depth map by EM clustering method based on GMM, we classify the depth map into several layered images. Then, we apply different mean shift filter to each classified image according to the existence of background or foreground in it. In other words, we try to maximize the coding efficiency while keeping the boundary of each object and taking average operation toward inner field of the boundary. The experiments are performed with many test images and the results show that the proposed algorithm achieves bits reduction of 19% ~ 20% and computation time is also reduced.
Accurate lattice extraction of elemental image array and pre-processing methods in computational integral imaging

In this paper, we propose accurate lattice extraction of elemental image array and pre-processing methods in computational integral imaging. Pre-processing methods remove distortions and noises of the image. Such distortions occurred in pickup systems are rotational errors. Distortions will degrade the resolution of reconstructed images. To overcome this problem, we propose our methods for extraction of elemental image array and pre-processing methods. Also, we describe that distortions affect the high quality reconstruction. Optical and computational experiments indicate that reconstructed images applied our methods is better than reconstructed images unapplied our methods.
Analysis between elemental image size and object locations in the pickup using periodically-distributed lenslets and enhancement of computational integral imaging

This paper describes an analysis on the relationship between elemental image size and object locations in the computational integral imaging reconstruction and in the pickup using a periodically-distributed lenslet array. A sparse sampling effect arises from a periodically-distributed lenslet array in the pickup of 3D objects. The relationship between elemental image size and object location is also reported. Based on the analysis, a method to eliminate the sparse sampling is proposed. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, experimental results are carried out. It turns out that the theory works.
The Modified Mean Filter to Remove AWGN

The image signals are corrupted by various noises in signal processing and the noises caused the degradation phenomenon. gaussian noise occurs in the process of transmission. Many studies are being accomplished to restore those signals which corrupted by additive gaussian noise. In this paper, the algorithm is proposed to remove AWGN. The algorithm first calculates the mask's standard deviation and next according to the thresholds separated as three levels, then calculates the weight which for different location in the mask's pixels. At last the mean value of the modified mean filter's is the output. Also we compare existing methods through the simulation and using PSNR as the standard of judgement of improvement effect.
Data Terminal for Metal Detection Application in Hazardous Environment

The novel metal position detection method is proposed where conventional techniques, in high temperature, moisture and particle environment, are not able to be applied. It is known that electronic devices, utilizing microwave, ultrasonic or optical technique, are hard to apply for sensing application where temperature is exceeding above 300 degree centigrade. Metal position detection technique, which was consisted with passive elements facing hot sensing surface, utilizing electromagnetic wave was investigated, and the metal detection sensitivity was measured by varying sensor frequency and sensing distance. Measurement result in laboratory test set-up showed position measurement resolution up to 1mm, when distance between two sensing elements were 500mm, and possibility to measure position of hot metal sheet having very high surface temperature.

To manage sensing information such as temperature, humidity and so on efficiently, it is need to use special purpose protocol. In this reason, IETF WG proposed CoAP protocol, and it is on Internet draft. If it is possible to work on a specific protocol, sensor end-nodes and network devices will be managed efficiently. However, end-nodes have restricted resources, it is hard to applying to CoAP protocol directly. In this paper we analyse a CoAP protocol stack for USN. To verify this protocol quickly, at first we implemented CoAP protocol stack over PC environments. After the logical verification, we applied this protocol to the USN environment. To do this, we ported CoAP protocol to Cygwin environment, and proposed solutions for hardware dependencies, and it is verified through experiments.
Implementation of Integration Dimming Switch for Home Network Using Z-Wave Mesh Network

In this paper, we proposed a home network integrated dimmer switch using Z-wave Mesh Network. The dimmer switch come with wired and wireless network-based intelligent lighting switch that can be installed in a apartments with home network technologies. This switch is ease to install and operate. Furthermore, it provide power saving through efficient control of light using motion detect sensor and light intensity sensor. In order to evaluate the performance of our developed home network integrated dimmer switch, we performed a load performance test and from our result, it showed excellent performance in terms of lighting control and communication speed.
Design of a DSP Controller and Driver for the Power-by-wire(PBW) Driving System Using BLDC Servo Motor Pump

This paper presents a study on the DSP(Digital Signal Processor) controller for the PBW(power-by-wire) system using BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) servo motor pump. The PBW hydraulic actuator was realized with hydraulic pump driven by BLDC servo motor, hydraulic cylinder and controller. This PBW system needs speed control of servo motor for linear thrust action of hydraulic cylinder. This paper implements a servo controller with vector control algorithm and MIN-MAX PWM technique. As CPU of a controller, TMS320F2812 DSP was adopted because it has PWM waveform generator, A/D converter, SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) port and many input/output port etc.
