Loop Splitting for On-the-fly Race Detection of Sharded-memory Parallel Programs

Detecting races is important for debugging shared-memory parallel programs, because the races result in unintended non-deterministic executions of the programs. Previous on-the-fly techniques to detect races in parallel programs with general inter-thread coordination show serious space overhead which depends on the maximum parallelism of the program. Therefore, this paper presents a loop splitting technique for on-the-fly race detection of parallel programs which is more efficient in space complexity than previous techniques. This loop splitting technique is the debugged program which preserves semantics of the original program. Monitering loop splitting program in on-the-fly can detect first races.
Web Accessibility Evaluation of Professional Sports Clubs in Korea

The government is supporting the law not to be uncomfortable in all departments of some sports and cultural activities for the handicapped, making the Welfare Law for People with Disability(Article 25) in Korea. Moreover web sites which are places of business more than 300 employees including other public organizations are making it mandatory to observe web accessibility for the handicapped. This study analyzed in statistical aspects to investigate systematically how professional sports clubs observe the accessibility of web site to some degree. As a result, it turned out that the compliance record on the items of the providing of text alternatives(44.92%) for non-text content and the keyboard accessible(46.79%) was low. However, by and large we are able to recognize that the compliance record of the web site is on an increasing trend with the course of time.
Stereo Matching Algorithm by using Color Information

In this paper, we propose a new stereo matching algorithm by using color information especially for stereo images containing human beings in the applications such as tele-presence system. In the proposed algorithm, we first remove the background regions by using a threshold value for stereo images obtained by stereo camera and then find an initial disparity map and segment a given image into R, G, B and white color components. We also obtain edges in the segmented image and estimate the disparity from the extract boundary regions. Finally, we generate the final disparity map by properly combining the disparity map of each color component. Experiment results show better performance compared with the window based method and the dynamic programing method especially for stereo images with human being.
Design of Multilayer LPF and RF diode switch for GSM

Using Ansoft HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator) and Serenade(circuit simulator), multilayer LPF and RF diode switch for GSM were designed. Diodes were transformed the inductor and capacitor in Tx and Rx for the simulation of equivalent circuit, respectively. In particular, the design of the simulation for multilayer RF diode switch was carried out with considering the variance of device and contraction percentage.
Snippet Extraction Method using Fuzzy Implication Operator and Relevance Feedback

In information retrieval, search engine provide the rank of web page and the summary of the web page information to user. Snippet is a summaries information of representing web pages. Visiting the web page by the user is affected by the snippet. User sometime visits the wrong page with respect to user intention when uses snippet. The snippet extraction method is difficult to accurate comprehending user intention. In order to solve above problem, this paper proposes a new snippet extraction method using fuzzy implication operator and relevance feedback. The proposed method uses relevance feedback to expand the use's query. The method uses the fuzzy implication operator between the expanded query and the web pages to extract snippet to be well reflected semantic user's intention. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve better snippet extraction performance than the other methods.
Implementation of Balancing Control System for Two Wheeled Inverted Pendulum Robot

In this paper, instead of the conventional PD controller for balancing control of two wheeled inverted pendulum robots, an improved PD controller using the neural network is proposed and implemented for performance verification. First, a two wheeled inverted pendulum robot system is constructed for experiment. Next proper gains of the conventional PD controller according to users' weights are obtained for balancing the robot by use of the trial and error method. The PD gains based on the trial and error method are generalized through the neural network. Experiment results show that the PD controller based on the neural network has better performance than the conventional PD controller.
Numerical Model Experiments of Wave Transformation for the Marine Structure Design

Numerical model experiments of wave transformation due to the reclamation and the construction of breakwater in case of 50 years design wave were performed using time dependent mild slope equation included shoaling, refraction, diffraction, reflection and wave breaking. As waves propagate to the shore, wave height gradually diminishes by the bottom friction and wave breaking etc.. After the reclamation and the construction of 75 m length breakwater, wave height distributions in the lee of breakwater have the range of 29~128 cm. To make better the harbor tranquility the length of breakwater needs to extend more than 100 m. After the construction of breakwater, wave height in the lee of the structure was deduced over 80%.
Analysis of the effects of the hysteretic property on the performance of sequential associative neural nets

It is important to understand how we can deal with elements for the modeling of neural networks when we are investigating the dynamical performance and the information processing capabilities. The information processing capabilities of model neural networks will change for different response, synaptic weights or learning rules. Using the statistical neurodynamics method, we evaluate the capabilities of neural networks in order to understand the basic concept of parallel distributed processing. In this paper, we explain the results of theoretical analysis of the effects of the hysteretic property on the performance of sequential associative neural networks.

The WiMedia Alliance has specified a Distributed Medium Access Control (D-MAC) protocol based on UWB for high speed wireless home networks and WPANs. In this paper, we propose a novel cooperative communication protocol adaptive to current UWB link transmission rate. The proposed cooperative communication protocol has compatibility with current WiMedia D-MAC and Wireless USB standard and is executed at each device according to a Relay Node Selection (RNS) criterion.

Recently, QoS/QoE technology as a part of the HTTP-based adaptive streaming technology has attracted attention. In this paper, we find out HTTP-based adaptive and dynamic streaming technology. It is based on a dynamic adaptive streaming system over HTTP, which is designed and implemented. The system consist of conversion by the bit rate of MPEG2-TS files, division of segment, creation of MPD(Media Presentation Description) and bitrate's player through analysis of MPD File between servers and clients in network environments of dynamic and adaptive. This diverse network environments, continuous and smooth playback of video will be used in various multimedia fields.

Context-aware Smartphone Schedule Management

Smartphone schedule management applications are widely used in mobile environment with the help of their effective user interface and high user accessibility. Unfortunately, since the applications do not consider frequent context changes like user status or location, they can not support schedule management which reflects the changes. In this paper, we propose an intelligent notification service which gathers context information of users such as location and status, and actively provides appropriate services according to the context information. Based on the notification service, we also present a smartphone application for smart schedule management. Using the GPS sensor of a smartphone, the service can be aware of the status of the user through location and schedule information of the user. Also, according to the changed contexts, it provides proactive notifications to user.
SNS Integrated Management API and Its Application

An SNS(Social Network Service) is an online service that supports an effective way to share information over virtual communities. Recently, as SNSs such as Twitter, Facebook, and Me2day are getting bigger, the purposes of using popular SNSs are expanded to broadcastings, politics, marketings and so on. In this paper, we propose an API to integrate and manage open APIs for various SNSs, presenting a library as an implementation of the proposed API. Also, utilizing the developed library, a smartphone application is provided which supports integrated management of popular SNSs and personal schedules. Using the library, developers can reduce costs when they need to implement specific functions for managing various SNSs. With the developed application, we can read and write to/from the related SNSs on same screen, automatically reminding our schedule and sharing the schedule with friends over the SNSs.
Jxta-based SmartPhone Collaboration Application Supporting Group Workspace

JXTA technology is a set of open protocols that enable any connected device on the internet or MANET(Mobile Adhoc NETwork) to communicate in a P2P manner. In this paper, we present a JXTA-based smartphone collaborative application. For this, we define the core services and collaborative services necessary for a P2P network, and design proper protocols to support the services. The developed application provides the effective environment for group works in smartphones, supporting the various virtual workspaces. Since application supports the group works among users in close-range without relying on the mobile network, it could be very useful in various situations such as the disaster area.
VNC-Based Screen Sharing System for Android Smart Devices

Smartphones and smartpads have a lot of advantages such as high convenience and portability. Also, they can effectively manage enormous amounts of information based on their high performance and plentiful applications. As such devices have been frequently used, many users manage various types of information using the devices. Recently, during conferences or seminars, smart device users often try to utilize stored resources on their devices and present them visually. Unfortunately, since smart devices have small displays, there is an essential difficulty in visual sharing of information. In this paper, we propose a method which integrates screens of several android smart devices and supports sharing of the integrated screen through a large display, presenting a screen sharing system for android smart devices. The developed system integrates display screens of several smart devices into a screen and shows the integrated screen through a large display connected to a desktop computer. In addition, to support the effective sharing of screens, the system provides functions for adjusting the number and the size of screens on a large display. The functions are controlled on a smart device and/or a desktop computer.
Document Summarization using Pseudo Relevance Feedback and Term Weighting

In this paper, we propose a document summarization method using the pseudo relevance feedback and the term weighting based on semantic features. The proposed method can minimize the user intervention to use the pseudo relevance feedback. It also can improve the quality of document summaries because the inherent semantic of the sentence set are well reflected by term weighting derived from semantic feature. In addition, it uses the semantic feature of term weighting and the expanded query to reduce the semantic gap between the user's requirement and the result of proposed method. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves better performant than other methods without term weighting.
Design and Implementation of Charger Monitoring System Based on CAN Protocol

On this paper, we proposed a design rule of charger monitoring system which allow us to watch the charging status and verify it for building the electric chargers infrastructure by spread of electric vehicle. Gathering the charging status of battery by proposed system makes us to enhance the charging algorithm, to interface with BMS(Battery Management System) of electric vehicle, to control the charging process with users. Because the technology of rapid charging is dependant upon various factors such as a performance and stability of battery. We proposed the monitoring system of rapid charger based on CAN protocol that can watch a working status of rapid charger including the charging status of battery with real time and can reduce the charging time of battery with optimized status. We also implement it and evaluate its performance.

In this paper an on-chip photo energy harvesting system with MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control is proposed. The ISC(Integrated Solar Cell) is implemented using p-diff/n-well diodes available in CMOS processes. MPPT control is implemented using the linear relationship between the open-circuit voltage of a PV(Photovoltaic) cell and its MPP(Maximum Power Point) voltage such that a small pilot PV cell can track the MPP of a main PV cell in real time. Simulation results show that the designed circuit with the MPPT control delivers the MPP voltage to load even though the load is heavy such that the load circuit can operate properly. Effects of Doping Concentrations and Annealing Temperatures on the Electrical and Optical Properties of Ga-doped ZnO Thin Films by Sol-gel Method

We fabricated Ga doped ZnO (GZO) thin films on the glass substrate (Eagle 2000) with various of Ga doping concentration and annealing temperatures using sol-gel method, electrical and optical properties were investigated. When the GZO thin films doped with 1 mol% of Ga and annealed at
, the excellent (002) orientation was observed. In the results of Hall measurement, carrier concentration decreased and resistivity increased due to segregation effect with increasing of the Ga doping concentration. The largest carrier concentration and lowest resistivity were

A CMOS Active-RC channel selection Low-Pass Filter for LTE-Advanced system

This paper has proposed a multi-channel low pass filter (LPF) for LTE-Advanced systems. The proposed LPF is an active-RC 5th chebyshev topology with three cut-off frequencies of 5 MHz, 10 MHz, and 40 MHz. A 3-bit tuning circuit has been adopted to prevent variations of each cut-off frequency from process, voltage, and temperature (PVT). To achieve a high cut-off frequency of 40 MHz, an operational amplifier used in the proposed filter has employed a PMOS cross-connection load with a negative impedance. A proposed filter has been implemented in a 0.13-
CMOS technology and consumes 20.2 mW with a 1.2 V supply voltage.
Efficient Design Methodology based on Hybrid Logic Synthesis for SoC

In this paper, we propose two main points. The first is the constraint for logic synthesis, and the second is an efficient logic synthesis method. Logic synthesis is a process to obtain the gate-level netlist from RTL (register transfer level) codes using logic mapping and optimization with the specified constraints. The result of logic synthesis is tightly dependent on constraint and logic synthesis method. Since the size and timing can be dramatically changed by these, we should precisely consider them. In this paper, we present the considering items in the process of logic synthesis by using our experience and experimental results. The proposed techniques was applied to a circuit with the hardware resource of about 650K gates. The synthesis time for the hybrid method was reduced by 47% comparing the bottom-up method and It has better timing property about slack than top-down method.
Analysis of Drain Induced Barrier Lowering for Double Gate MOSFET According to Channel Doping Concentration

In this paper, drain induced barrier lowering(DIBL) has been analyzed as one of short channel effects occurred in double gate(DG) MOSFET. The DIBL is very important short channel effects as phenomenon that barrier height becomes lower since drain voltage influences on potential barrier of source in short channel. The analytical potential distribution of Poisson equation, validated in previous papers, has been used to analyze DIBL. Since Gaussian function been used as carrier distribution for solving Poisson's equation to obtain analytical solution of potential distribution, we expect our results using this model agree with experimental results. The change of DIBL has been investigated for device parameters such as channel thickness, oxide thickness and channel doping concentration.

Coronary Intervention treatment has become the core that is the test of cardiac catheterization to conduct treatment with Coronary Arteriography. Operators must be careful in Coronary Intervention treatment because the stent is inserted into the point of narrowing of blood vessel. So, the operator must correctly recognize the path of blood vessel to deal with the problems which are damages and ruptures of blood vessel, and there would be some errors of finding the path of blood vessel by bad qualify of the image. Therefore in this paper, median filtering is conducted by preprocessing to evaluate the performance of the effect of noise of the image that affects quality of the image and Fuzzy Edge Extraction Techniques is tested by using Soble Edge Extraction Techniques to compare the performance with The Fuzzy Edge Extraction Techniques. In result, the performance, removing the noise and extracting the signal of Fuzzy Edge Extraction Techniques using median filtering, demonstrates the superiority.
Pulmonary vascular Segmentation and Refinement On the CT Scans

Medical device performance has been advanced while images are expected to be acquired with further higher quality and pertinent applicability as images have been increasing in importance in analyzing major organs. Recent high frequency of image processing by MATLAB in image analysis area accounts for the intent of this study to segment pulmonary vessels by means of MATLAB. This study is to consist of 3 phases including pulmonary region segmentation, pulmonary vessel segmentation and three dimensional connectivity assessment, in which vessel was segmented, using threshold level, from the pulmonary region segmented, vessel thickness was measured as two dimensional refining process and three dimensional connectivity was assessed as three dimensional refining process. It is expected that MATLAB-based image processing should contribute to diversity and reliability of medical image processing and that the study results may lay a foundation for chest CT images-related researches.
A Study on Cascade Filter Algorithm for Random Valued Impulse Noise Elimination

Image signal is corrupted by various noises in image processing, many studies are being accomplished to restore those images. In this paper, we proposed a cascade filter algorithm for removing random valued impulse noise. The algorithm consists two steps that noise detection and noise elimination. Variance of filtering mask and center pixel variance are calculated for noise detection, and the noise pixel is replaced by estimated value which first apply switching self adaptive weighted median filter and finally processed by modified weight filter. Considering the proposed algorithm only remove noise and preserve the uncorrupted information that the algorithm can not only remove noise well but also preserve edge.

Nowadays u-healthcare which is very sensitive to the character of user's information among other ubiquitous computing field is popular in medical field. u-healthcare deals extremely personal information including personal health/medical information so it is exposed to various weaknees and threats in the part of security and privacy. In this paper, RFID based patient's information protecting protocol that prevents to damage the information using his or her mobile unit illegally by others is proposed. The protocol separates the authority of hospital(doctor, nurse, pharmacy) to access to patient's information by level of access authority of hospital which is registered to management server and makes the hospital do the minimum task. Specially, the management server which plays the role of gateway makes access permission key periodically not to be accessed by others about unauthorized information except authorized information and improves patient's certification and management.
The exercise-distance measuring system with high precision considering of altitude

To measure the athletic information of exercisers, the applications of smartphone are programmed based on the sensing data from GPS device. These applications provide exercisers for running or walking distance, exercising time, calorie consumption, average speed, and so on. Among them, the exercising distance should measure accurately because it directly affects the other athletic information for exercisers. However, the existing methods for measuring the exercising distance makes errors because they are worked on the simple sphere or ellipse earth models. Actually, the surface of real earth is composed of inclined ground like hills and valleys. In this paper, a new exercising distance measuring algorithm is proposed to compensate the errors of existing method. It considers the altitude of slopes in exercising routes. To evaluate exercising distance measuring algorithms, we implement the athletic life-guide system based on the smartphone platform. In experiments, the proposed method shows that it provides more accurate distance measurement.
Implementation of Modeller and Simulator for Fish Farming Environmental Information using Petri-Net

It is required that system can seamlessly identify and manage change history and comprehensive assessment of several types of data as well as individual information of feeding and water environment for scientific and systematic management of fish farming environment and fish farmer. In this study, we implemented the system which can present and simulate current status of water quality and feeding based on th historical data of them, and check changes of state step by step using visual C++. In addition, we proposed the entropy model which can be comprehensive analysis about water quality and feed status information based on knowledge of fisheries. It can be the foundation to create high-level environment model reflecting the more diverse fisheries knowledge such as disease.
Development of Control System with Android Operation System for Dentistry Integrated Device

In this paper, a real-time control system with Wi-Fi wireless communication was developed for dentistry Integrated Device. The control system is developed based on the Android platform using S3C6410 ARM core that is equipped with Wi-Fi communication, RS-485, Linux 2.6 and Android 2.0. The control system controls a water purifier, compressor and suction in real-time. The experimental results that the control system was controlled by each control modules connected with a water purifier, compressor and suction. The status values are displayed in real-time using RS485.
