A Parameter Analysis for System Co-existence between Adjacent Channels in Extended Hata Channel Environment

In this paper, we analyze the sharing parameters in order to co-use of different communication systems in adjacent channels. We analyze the performance result according to various density of interfering transmitter and transmitter output in hetero systems. In order to get the relationship with between density of interfering transmitter and transmitter output, we consider the case that WiBro is an interfering transmitter an WLAN is a victim receiver. When the interferer density is 50/
and the center frequency of WLAN and WiBro are 185 and 201MHz respectively, required guard band is 4MHz. Analyzed coexistence results may be widely applied into the technique developed to get the coexisting condition for wireless devices using many communication protocols in same frequency.
Design and Manufacturing a Synchronous Fash of LED Marine Lantern based on GPS-based

The synchronous flash of a marine lantern, differentiated from the flash pattern of other risk indicators, supports the safe sailing of vessels. General marine lanterns flash according to the flash protocol through sensing the day and the night. Thus, there can be time error over time and the marine lantern does not synchronously flash as a whole. To resolve this problem, this study designed LED marine lantern based on constant-current system using synchronous flash technique enabling all marine lanterns to keep its time based on GPS satellite time. Also we suggested a radiation method with an effective heat emission performance in the restricted and closed space of a marine lantern.
Fast Handwriting Recognition Using Model Graph

Rough classification methods are used to improving the recognition speed in many character recognition problems. In this case, some irreversible result can occur by an error in rough classification. Methods for duplicating each model in several classes are used in order to reduce this risk. But the errors by rough classfication can not be completely ruled out by these methods. In this paper, an recognition method is proposed to increase speed that matches models selectively without any increase in error. This method constructs a model graph using similarity between models. Then a search process begins from a particular point in the model graph. In this process, matching of unnecessary models are reduced that are not similar to the input pattern. In this paper, the proposed method is applied to the recognition problem of handwriting numbers and upper/lower cases of English alphabets. In the experiments, the proposed method was compared with the basic method that matches all models with input pattern. As a result, the same recognition rate, which has shown as the basic method, was obtained by controlling the out-degree of the model graph and the number of maintaining candidates during the search process thereby being increased the recognition speed to 2.45 times.
High Resolution FMCW Level Gauge with Narrowband FMCW Radar

Level Gauge using FMCW Radar is widely used and researched in many areas because of contactless, long range and flexibility. However FMCW level gauge requires wideband RF bandwidth for archiving high resolution of cm grade. In this paper we propose a new tx sawtooth waveform and processing algorithm with narrowband RF for wideband performance. The proposed method is based on STFT(Short-time fourier transform) and single sinusoidal carrier estimation method. From some experiments, we show that the resolution is improved upto 8 times with 300MHz FMCW radar.
Ship Ad-hoc Communication (SAC) Protocol for SANETs

A ship ad-hoc network (SANET) can provide ships with diverse multimedia services by replacing expensive satellite communications. While ITU-R M. 1842-1, standards for maritime VHF band digital communications, can be used as the specifications of physical layer for SANETs, no standards are specified for higher layers of SANETs. In this paper, we propose a ship ad-hoc communication (SAC) protocol for SANETs, based on medium access control (MAC) and routing protocols for terrestrial ad-hoc networks. SAC protocol is a cross-layer protocol which combines MAC and routing into one algorithm and considers maritime environments, including the existence of neighboring ships, the possibility of routing to a destination, and changing the communication mode in case of VHF channel failure.
Service Delivery Time Improvement using HDFS in Desktop Virtualization

The current PC-based desktop environment is being converted into server-based virtual desktop environment due to security, mobility, and low upgrade cost. In this paper, a desktop virtualization system is implemented using an open source-based cloud computing platform and hypervisor. The implemented system is applied to the virtualziation of computer in university. In order to reduce the image transfer time, we propose a solution using HDFS. In addition, an image management structure needed for desktop virtualization is designed and implemented, and applied to a real computer lab which accommodates 30 PCs. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated in various aspects including implementation cost, power saving rate, reduction rate of license cost, and management cost. The experimental results showed that the proposed system considerably reduced the image transfer time for desktop service.
A Reconfiguration Technique of Logical Topology in a Ship Backbone Network

This paper studies a series of logical topology reconfiguration processes corresponding to a series of traffic demand changes in a ship backbone network. The proposed reconfiguration technique is to minimize costly changes of traffic forwarding paths and minimize the average hop distance of traffic forwarding paths in terms of ship backbone network performance simultaneously. Performance evaluation is conducted to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed reconfiguration technique. It shows that the proposed reconfiguration technique yields efficient performance in the entire series of reconfiguration processes.
A Design and Implementation of 3D Facial Expressions Production System based on Muscle Model

Facial expression has its significance in mutual communication. It is the only means to express human`s countless inner feelings better than the diverse languages human use. This paper suggests muscle model-based 3D facial expression generation system to produce easy and natural facial expressions. Based on Waters` muscle model, it adds and used necessary muscles to produce natural facial expressions. Also, among the complex elements to produce expressions, it focuses on core, feature elements of a face such as eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, and cheeks and uses facial muscles and muscle vectors to do the grouping of facial muscles connected anatomically. By simplifying and reconstructing AU, the basic nuit of facial expression changes, it generates easy and natural facial expressions.

Recently privacy breaches has been an social issues. If we should encrypt the sensitive information in order to protect the database, the leakage of the personal sensitive data will be reduced for sure. In this paper, we analyzed the existing protection algorithms to protect the personal sensitive data and proposed the combined method using the bucket index method and the bloom filters. Bucket index method applied on tuples data encryption method is the most widely used algorithm. But this method has the disadvantages of the data exposure because of the bucket index value presented. So we proposed the combined data encryption method using bucket index and the bloom filter. Features of the proposed scheme are the improved search performance of data as well as the protection of the data exposure.
Development of Functional USB Solution to Contain Executable Software Using Scanning Mechanism

The technology suggested in this study is the method to contain executable software in a portable storage devices like the USB and install an application program to operate it in any client devices. To solve this problem, we can store pre-scanned information on the above client`s files, registry, and services in the device before installing the proper application program to be installed using the scanning method and manage in the USB the resources that generated and changed by post-scanning the information after installing the above application program in the client`s device. After that, necessary files in the client to be used can be copied for using, and after use, related files are deleted, and it also includes the process to return to the previous system environment. This method is advantageous in that once any sort of application programs needed to be installed gets to be installed in an external portable storage devices like the USB, the application program installed can be operated in any computer not raising any issues like illegal copy.
Analysis of Improved Convergence and Energy Efficiency on Detecting Node Selection Problem by Using Parallel Genetic Algorithm

There are a number of idle nodes in sensor networks, these can act as detector nodes for anomaly detection in the network. For detecting node selection problem modeled as optimization equation, the conventional method using centralized genetic algorithm was evaluated. In this paper, a method to improve the convergence of the optimal value, while improving energy efficiency as a method of considering the characteristics of the network topology using parallel genetic algorithm is proposed. Through simulation, the proposed method compared with the conventional approaches to the convergence of the optimal value was improved and was found to be energy efficient.
SmartRetweet : A Study on Method of the Efficient Propagation of Location-Based News Feed

It is prevalent to gather the location information from GPS, WiFi and etc, and therefore LBSNS (Location-Based SNS) has increased rapidly (such as location-augmented Twitter services). The message created from LBSNS include the specific area of interests which the message is created in or mentions. It is easy to propagate the location-based information of LBSNS by adapting the retweet function which is efficient way to propagate the message in tweeter. In this paper, we have defined the smart retweet as a automatic retweet function for efficient propagating the messages which is geo-tagging the location of interests. We have designed the smart retweet system based on the tweeter system. The user could specify the area of interests and build the social networking among the users which have interested in common area. The smart retweet system have been implemented by mesh-up services based on Open-API of trweeter and google map. It is expected that the smart retweet service proposed in this paper makes easy sharing of the location-based interesting information.

In order to implement good control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM), the exact speed and rotor position information is needed.Recently, many studies have performed about sensorless speed control of the PMSM. This paper proposed sensorless speed controls of PMSM by using the Unscented Kalman Filter(UKF).The UKF is designed to eliminate the noise and get to the accuracy value and deals with the estimation of the speed and the rotor position of PMSM. Simulation and experiment have been performed for the verification of the proposed algorithm.

In this paper, it suggest that nonlinear multivariable system control of induction motor using `T-S Fuzzy Identification` `T-S Fuzzy model of linearization` is not easy because of that arithmetic is difficult in computation of the function. Therefore `T-S Fuzzy Identification` is suggested that the rules and functions through the estimation of high accuracy provides linearized model.
Relation of Threshold Voltage and Scaling Theory for Double Gate MOSFET

This paper has presented the relation of scaling theory and threshold voltage of double gate(DG) MOSFET. In the case of conventional MOSFET, current and switching frequency have been analyzed based on scaling theory. To observe the possibility of application of scaling theory for threshold voltage of DGMOSFET, the change of threshold voltage has been observed and analyzed according to scaling theory. The analytical potential distribution of Poisson equation has been used, and this model has been already verified. To solve Poisson equation, charge distribution such as Gaussian function has been used. As a result, it has been observed that threshold voltage is grealty changed according to scaling factor and change rate of threshold voltages is traced for scaling of doping concentration in channel. This paper has explained for the best modified scaling theory reflected the influence of two gates as using weighting factor when scaling theory has been applied for channel length and channel thickness.
Ratio-type Capacitance Measurement Circuit for femto-Farad Resolution

A ratio type of capacitance measurement circuit is proposed to measure an extremely small value of the fF capacitance on this paper. This measurement circuit is formed with a switched-capacitor integrator, a comparator, and logic circuit blocks to control the switches. It converts the measured ratio value between the known value of on-chip capacitor and the unknown value of capacitor to the digital signal. The fF capacitance with minimized error can be obtained by calculating this ratio. This proposed circuit is designed with standard CMOS

Intelligent silicon bead chip design for bio-application

Unlike the existing CMOS chip, ISB (Intelligent Silicon Bead) is new concept biochip equipped with optical communication and memory function. It uses the light for power of SoC CMOS and interface with external devices therefore it is possible to miniaturize a chip size and lower the cost. This paper introduces an input protocol and a design of the low power and the low area to transfer the power and the signal through a single optical signal applied from external reader device to bead chip at the same time. It is also verified through simulation and measurement. In addition, low-power PROM is designed for recording and storing ID of a chip and it is successful in obtaining the value of output according to the optical input. Through this study, a new type biochip development can be expected by solving high cost and a limit of miniaturizing a chip area problem of an existing RFID.
A 0.13-μm CMOS RF Front-End Transmitter For LTE-Advanced Systems

This paper has proposed a 2,500 MHz ~ 2,570 MHz 0.13-
CMOS RF front-end transmitter for LTE-Advanced systems. The proposed RF front-end transmitter is composed of a quadrature up-conversion mixer and a driver amplifier. The measurement results show the maximum output power level is +6 dBm and the suppression ratio for the image sideband and LO leakage are better than -40 dBc respectively. The fabricated chip consumes 36 mA from a 1.2 V supply voltage.
A Study on Area-Efficient Design of Unified MD5 and HAS-160 Hash Algorithms

This paper deals with hardware design which unifies MD5 and HAS-160 hash algorithms. Two algorithms get a message with arbitrary length and process message blocks divided into 512 bits each time and output a hash code with a fixed length. MD5 ouputs a hash code of 128 bits and HAS-160 a hash code of 160 bits. The unified hash core designed has 32% of slices overhead compared to HAS-160 core. However, there is only a fixed message buffer space used. The unified hash core which run a step in one clock cycle operates at 92MHz and has performance which digests a message in the speed of 724Mbps at MD5 and 581Mbps at HAS-160 hash mode. The unified hash core which is designed can be applicable to the areas such as E-commerce, data integrity and digital signature.
A Design of MMIC Mixer for I/Q Demodulator of Non-contact Near Field Microwave Probing System

A MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) mixer chip using the Schottky diode of an GaAs p-HEMT process has been developed for the I/Q demodulator of non-contact near field microwave probing system. A single balanced mixer type is adopted to achieve simple structure of the I/Q demodulator. A quadrature hybrid coupler and a quarter wavelength transmission line for 180 degree hybrid are realized with lumped elements of MIM capacitor and spiral inductor to reduce the mixer chip size. According to the on-wafer measurement, this MMIC mixer covers RF and LO frequencies of 1650MHz to 2050MHz with flat conversion loss. The MMIC mixer with miniature size of
demonstrates conversion loss below 12dB for both variations of RF and LO frequencies, LO-to-IF isolation above 43dB and RF-to-IF isolation above 23dB, respectively.
Cost-effective and High-performance FBAR Duplexer Module with Wafer Level Packaging

This paper presents a cost-effective and high-performance film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) duplexer module for US-PCS handset applications. The FBAR device uses a glass wafer level packaging process, which is a more cost-effective alternative to the typical silicon capping process. The maximum insertion losses of the FBAR duplexer at the Tx and Rx bands are of 1.9 and 2.4 dB, respectively. The total thickness of the duplexer module is 1.2 mm, including the glass-wafer bonded Tx/Rx FBAR devices, PCB board, and transfer molding material.
Development of the High Performance 94 GHz Waveguide VCO

In this paper, we developed a 94 GHz waveguide VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) using a GaAs-based Gunn diode and a varactor diode. The cavity is designed for fundamental mode at 47 GHz and operated at second harmonic of 94 GHz. Bias posts for diodes operate as LPF(low pass filter) and resonator. The fabricated waveguide VCO achieves an oscillation bandwidth of 760 MHz. Output power is from 12.61 to 15.26 dBm and phase noise is -101.13 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset frequency from the carrier.
Digital Watermarking Algorithm for Digital Hologram based on Fresnel Transform

This paper propose a digital watermarking algorithm for a digital hologram which is the most valuable image content. It is highly necessary to protect the ownership of a digital hologram. This paper introduces a watermarking scheme, a method to protect the ownership of digital holograms using the Fresnel transform domain data as the ones to be watermarked. Experiment results indicated that the proposed scheme was very imperceptible in the digital hologram and in the reconstructed holographic image. Also, they showed quite strong resistance to most of the attacks. we expect that the conclusions of this paper can be the basis for further research on the digital watermarking for digital holograms.
Atrial Fibrillation Pattern Analysis based on Symbolization and Information Entropy

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice, and its risk increases with age. Conventionally, the way of detecting AF was the time·frequency domain analysis of RR variability. However, the detection of ECG signal is difficult because of the low amplitude of the P wave and the corruption by the noise. Also, the time·frequency domain analysis of RR variability has disadvantage to get the details of irregular RR interval rhythm. In this study, we describe an atrial fibrillation pattern analysis based on symbolization and information entropy. We transformed RR interval data into symbolic sequence through differential partition, analyzed RR interval pattern, quantified the complexity through Shannon entropy and detected atrial fibrillation. The detection algorithm was tested using the threshold between 10ms and 100ms on two databases, namely the MIT-BIH Atrial Fibrillation Database.
A Restoration of Degraded Medicine Images Based on Optimized Parametric Wiener Filter

The noise of image is added by many environmental factors. Therefore, we need to remove these noises using the conventional filtering methods, which are optimized based on the statistical characteristic of noise. In direct restoration method, there is an inverse filter and the wiener filter. Here, the wiener filter is the optimized filter in the view of least square method. First, we are going to study the inverse filter, wiener filter, constraint least square filter. Second, in order to control the quantity, we use the parameters instead of the power spectrum ratio. But, these parameters have the conflicting condition, therefore, we optimized the variables using parametric wiener filter which adjust the application appropriately. In the simulation results, the contrast of the degraded image was enhanced and the noise was removed. Comparative experimentation was demonstrated edge preserving and noise removing property.
A Study on Mixed Filter Algorithm for Restoration of Image Corrupted by AWGN

Nowadays, image processing has been applied in a variety of fields. In order to preserve the high quality of visual the degradation phenomenon for images should be removed. Noise is one of the representative elements cause of the degradation phenomenon and AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise) always damages images. In this paper, an mixed filter algorithm, which is based on parallel denoising method, is proposed to suppress AWGN. This algorithm parallels the spatial domain wiener filter and the wavelet domain thresholding method which thresholding function is selected based on scale level. The proposed modified thresholding function which considers the dependency between parent and child coefficient performs well on suppressing noise.

As interest about safety of agricultural products has increased, attempts to establish food safety also have been actively made. One example is GAP(Good Agricultural Practices) information service. This service supplies the safe agricultural products to consumers by establishing the safety management system from their production to sale of the agricultural products. In this parer, the proposed system enables the users to easily use it by providing GAP information service and using RFID.
Recommendations and Analysis of Model-based User Interface Model

User interface model technology can apply UI based on a user`s choice. Recently, researches about th interface for the user`s convenience have been actively made. For this, in W3C, various researches are ongoing in order to provide UI adjust service based on N-Screen service, consistent service provision, and the user`s preference. In this paper, we study the model-based interface technology, which is fundamental to develop UI for the user`s convenience. For this we study the verification process by analyzing elements of the user interface technology, analyzing the standards of the UI, and finding improvements for the MBUI standard. This will be used in order to secure the technology for web-application measures and to apply next-generation web-application.
A Study on Improvement of Location Accuracy and Indoor location estimation system to minimize installation costs

Commercialized location estimation System with high accuracy is widely used for various services. However, if the systems aren`t completely installed in an indoor, location estimation accuracy tend to be very poor. In this paper, indoor location estimation algorithm to improve the accuracy of object location, by correcting the location information obtained from a system that does not fully install, is proposed. In this paper, UWB-based Ubisense system that provides high position accuracy in an indoor environment was utilized. In conclusion, this paper was able to improve the positioning accuracy, by correcting that information about the location of the measured object in position estimation system.
Design of a BLDC Servo Motor Control System for the Auto Process of Assembly and Supply

This paper presents a design of a BLDC servo motor control system for the auto process of assembly and supply using DSP(Digital Signal Processor) controller and IGBT driver. The assembly and supply auto processing system needs torque, speed, position control of servo motor for variable action. This paper implements those servo control with vector control and space vector PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) technique. As CPU of controller, TMS320F240 DSP was adopted because it has PWM waveform generator, A/D converter, SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) port and many input/output port etc. This control system consists of 3-level hierarchy structure that main host PC manages three sub DSP system which transfer downward command and are monitoring the states of end servo controllers. Each sub DSP system operates eight BLDC servo controllers which control BLDC motor using DSP and IPM. Between host system and sub DSP communicate with RS-422, between main processor and controller communicate with SPI port.

The policy of the United States is a Korean Peninsula free of all nuclear weapons. The United States government was considering the possibility of military action to eliminate the North Korean nuclear threat. Talk of military action peaked from mid-1993 through mid-1994. Such an attack might have led directly to a Korean war. At that time the nuclear crisis solutioned by North Korea-United States negotiation and ROK-United States alliance. PSI`s purpose is to prevent or at least inhibit the spread of weapons of mass destruction, their delivery systems, and related materials to and from states and non-state actors whose possession would be a serious threat to global or regional security. The most controversial activity of PSI is interdiction. North Korea has expressed grave concern over the initiative, stating that it has a sovereign right to develop, deploy, and export weapons, and that it would view any interdiction of its ships as a declaration of war. If South Korea is to execute interdiction North Korean ships expect tensions to increase dramatically on the peninsula with North Korea doing something quite provacative in response. South Korea cannot help approaching PSI with great caution, since it has to consider the ROK-United States alliance, and inter-Korean relations.
