The e-navigation in IMO(International Maritime Organization) has been developed as a strategy for user oriented service followed by HEAP(Human Element Analysing Process) to assess the solutions in view of human ergonomics. Although IMO already had an interim guideline for human element assessment, it did not include appropriate human elements for user-oriented assessment, therefore there should be a need for revising the human elements of current guideline for ergonomic assessment of e-navigation. We have developed user-oriented human element checklist, threat elements caused by human external condition and error elements originated by human itself in line with the e-navigation development concept of user-based approach.

In this paper I introduced a new methodology; Fuzzy-set Qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) calibration introduced by Charles C Ragin to measure the degree of technology innovation in OECD countries and non OECD countries and developed a simple technology development pattern based on patents number of traditional technology, information and communication technology and biotechnology which are published by OECD Working group. Through this typology and measurement of technology innovation degree, we can provide appropriate and necessary science and technology policies for each developed or developing country and technology sectors like information and communication technology.
Front and Rear Vehicle Monitoring System using Ultrasonic Sensors

The researches on driver assistance systems that can prevent an accident have been actively performed due to social issues of traffic accidents with development of vehicle industry in recent. It is required for researchers to develope systems which assist driver's perception and judgment when considering that over 70% of traffic accidents occur by drivers' carelessness and 75% of the total accidents occur at the speed of less 29km per hour. In this paper, we implemented a front and rear vehicle monitoring system that monitors distance from a vehicle to obstacles in real-time at the low-speed or back-ward driving. The proposed system consists of ultrasonic sensors of high angle and wide angle of beam spread, ATmega128, and DSP processor.

In Korea, it is constructing the Intelligent Transportation System(ITS) in according with the ITS project implementation guideline and each ITS standard on the basis of "National Integrated Transportation System Efficiency Act". However, only a few ITS project implementation guideline and ITS standard for the exchange of information technologies are not able to construct a smart ITS, without technical regulation for the technical characteristics of the main ITS equipment. Therefore, in this paper, we identify the current status and problems of the legal system and look for the necessity of technical regulation enactment for the smart ITS construction.

Electromagnetic analysis to design unclonable PUFs with frequency-dependant materials with Debye dispersion was considered. To simulate FDTD calculations consider that 1-D problem of pulsed plane wave traveling in free space normally incident on air-silicon material interface on dielectric substrate. The pulse traveling wave at a vacuum-medium interface was reflected, and transmitted wave was dissipated. As a result, 1-D PUF modeling with Debye dispersion on dielectric substrate structure can be applied and FDTD calculation for PUF modeling is a good approximation.
An Intelligent Surveillance System using Fuzzy Contrast and HOG Method

In this paper, we propose an intelligent surveillance system using fuzzy contrast and HOG method. This surveillance system is mainly for the intruder detection. In order to enhance the brightness difference, we apply fuzzy contrast and also apply subtraction method to before/after the surveillance. Then the system identifies the intrusion when the difference of histogram between before/after surveillance is sufficiently large. If the incident happens, the camera stops automatically and the analysis of the screen is performed with fuzzy binarization and Blob method. The intruder is detected and tracked in real time by HOG method and linear SVM. The proposed system is implemented and tested in real world environment and showed acceptable performance in both detection rate and tracking success rate.

Depending on the development of technology, android-based smartphones has brought about various changes in our lives. In this paper, based on smartphones, it was implemented that the biometric information of human pulse wave and oxygen saturation by measuring device can be monitor the status of the patient on bluetooth-based u-health care system. Through the implementation of this paper, it has confirmed that it's can be monitoring smartphone adding a bluetooth module on the medical equipment of PC based monitor system.

Thus, all systems and sensors corresponding to navigation are integrated to an INS (Integrated Navigation System) or an IBS (Integrated Bridge System). Propulsion automation systems, propulsion systems, auxiliary systems, and power management systems are integrated to an ICMS (Integrated Control and Monitoring System), an IPMS (Integrated Platform Management System), and IMCS (Integrated Monitoring and Control System). This paper introduces the results of designing and implementing an Integrated Interface System which ties up diverse system interfaces via network and inversely converts network signals into a proper interface signal type connected to other systems.

An Efficient Scheme for Electing Cluster Header Using Remaining Electric Energy in Ad Hoc Networks

In the Cluster-Based Routing Protocol (CBRP) a cluster header in each cluster should be elected. The cluster headers consume energy much more than other nodes because they manage and operate all of mobile nodes in their cluster. The traditional CBRP elects a cluster header without considering the remaining electric energy of each node. So, there exists problems that the cluster header has short average lifetime, and another cluster header should be elected again frequently. In this paper, we propose the improved protocol which prolongs the lifetime of the cluster header and enhances the stability of the path. In order to achieve this, when a cluster header is elected in a cluster, the remaining electric energies of all the nodes are compared with one another, and the node with the highest energy is elected as the cluster header.
Human Activity Pattern Recognition Using Motion Information and Joints of Human Body

In this paper, we propose an algorithm that recognizes human activity patterns using the human body's joints and the information of the joints. The proposed method extracts the object from inputted video, automatically extracts joints using the ratio of the human body, applies block-matching algorithm for each joint and gets the motion information of joints. The proposed method uses the joints to move, the directional vector of motions of joints, and the sign to represent the increase or decrease of x and y coordinates of joints as basic parameters for human recognition of activity. The proposed method was tested for 8 human activities of inputted video from a web camera and had the good result for the ration of recognition of the human activities.
QR-code finder recognition using four directional scanning method

This paper describes a method to detect QR-code finders by four-direction scanning. The finder recognition is the first step in the QR-code recognition. If the finder is missing, QR-code recognition fails. The existing QR-code recognition method has a problem that the recognition performance decreases for perspectively distored images. To overcome the problem, we introduce four-direction scanning and a candidate set image to accurately detect QR-code finders. Using morphological operations detect the QR-code finder in the candidate set image robustly. To show the effectiveness of our method, we compared our method with the well-known existing method. The experimental result indicates that the proposed method is superior to the existing method in terms of the finder recognition performance.

In this paper, we design and implement A4 sized, web-based POP(Print On Demand) system using multi-layer technique. We Propose the framework of POP system, which uses multi-layer technique, uses highly accessible web-service, produces template, enables a user to easily edit, and allows the user to instantly print edited files. This system will be widely used in web-based electronic publication and e-book.

This paper proposes a Scene Change Detection method using the local decision tree and clustering. The local decision tree detects cluster boundaries wherein local scenes occur, in such a way as to compare time similarity distributions among the difference values between detected scenes and their adjacent frames, and group an unbroken sequence of frames with similarities in difference value into a cluster unit.

According to the rapid development of cell phone and camera industry, all of electronic products obtain small-size, high-performance and variety. Therefore, PCB also obtains high-integration, multi-layers and high-specification rapidly. Among the digital cameras which are continuously evolved and developed, the market of mirror-less camera and hybrid digital camera is continuously increased because of the customer's request for small-size and weight lightening, except for DSLR camera. Therefore, the difficulty of PCB design is gradually increased and design L/T is longer according to the high-specifications, low-current and high-performance components. This thesis suggests the method to reduce L/T for PCB design applied to the reduction of digital camera's developing period and manufacturing period.

In this paper, we use the Internet when in WiBro service, to analyze the vulnerability. And, Internet-based applications for vulnerabilities that could lead to hacker attacks is analyzed. Efficient Method for Exchanging Data between DDS Middlewares based on Adaptive Packet Transmission

In this paper, we analyze the problems that the DDS middleware, which is a standard data-centric communication interface, uses the fixed packet transmission method by the pre-defined protocol for exchanging data packets. The packet transmission method selected in a fixed manner cannot handle appropriately the increasing of resource overhead in an environment where the load of the DDS network changes dynamically. If the load on the node and network exceeds the threshold, the performance of the packet transmission may be degraded rapidly. This results in a failure of ensuring the real-time characteristic of DDS middleware. To solve this problem, we propose the scheme of the adaptive packet transmission for adjusting the transmission method in real-time based on the overhead on the DDS network.
Estimation of Attitude Control for Quadruped Walking Robot Using Load Cell

In this paper, each driving motor for leg joints on a robot is controlled by estimating the direction of the legs measuring each joint angle and attitude angle of robot. We used quadruped working robot named TITAN-VIII in order to carry out this experimental study. 4 load cells are installed under the bottom of 4 legs to measure the pressed force on each leg while it's walking. The walking experiments of the robot were performed in 8 different conditions combined with duty factor, the length of a stride, the trajectory height of the foot and walking period of robot. The validity of attitude control for quadruped walking robot is evaluated by comparing the pressed force on a leg and the power consumption of joint driving motor. As a result, it was confirmed that the slip-condition of which the foot leave the ground late at the beginning of new period of the robot during walking process, which means the attitude control of the robot during walking process wasn't perfect only by measuring joint and attitude angle for estimating the direction of the foot.
Metastability-free Mesochronous Synchronizer for Networks on Chip

This paper proposes a metastability-free synchronization method and a mesochronous synchronizer for NoC. It uses the clock transmitted from TX as a strobe and solves the metastability problem by selecting one of rising or falling clock edge depending on the sampling value in RX when the phase difference between clocks is under a metastability window. The logic simulation results show that it works without metastability under
phase difference in the synchronizer that a fault is inserted. The mesochronous synchronizer has a simple control logic and is suitable for NoC.
A Time-Domain Comparator for Micro-Powered Successive Approximation ADC

In this paper, a time-domain comparator is proposed for a successive approximation (SA) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a low power and high resolution. The proposed time-domain comparator consists of a voltage-controlled delay converter with a clock feed-through compensation circuit, a time amplifier, and binary phase detector. It has a small input capacitance and compensates the clock feed-through noise. To analyze the performance of the proposed time-domain comparator, two 1V 10-bit 200-kS/s SA ADCs with a different time-domain comparator are implemented by using 0.18-
1-poly 6-metal CMOS process. The measured SNDR of the implemented SA ADC is 56.27 dB for the analog input signal of 11.1 kHz, and the clock feed-through compensation circuit and time amplifier of the proposed time-domain comparator enhance the SNDR of about 6 dB. The power consumption and area of the implemented SA ADC are 10.39
and 0.126 mm2, respectively.
Subthreshold Characteristics of Double Gate MOSFET for Gaussian Function Distribution

This paper have presented the change for subthreshold characteristics for double gate(DG) MOSFET based on scaling theory and the shape of Gaussian function. To obtain the analytical solution of Poisson's equation, Gaussian function been used as carrier distribution and consequently potential distributions have been analyzed closely for experimental results, and the subthreshold characteristics have been analyzed for the shape parameters of Gaussian function such as projected range and standard projected deviation. Since this potential model has been verified in the previous papers, we have used this model to analyze the subthreshold chatacteristics. The scaling theory is to sustain constant outputs for the change of device parameters. As a result to apply the scaling theory for DGMOSFET, we know the subthreshold characteristics have been greatly changed, and the change of threshold voltage is bigger relatively.
Device Degradation with Gate Lengths and Gate Widths in InGaZnO Thin Film Transistors

An InGaZnO thin film transistor with different gate lengths and widths have been fabricated and their device degradations with device sizes have been also performed after negative gate bias stress. The threshold voltage and subthreshold swing have been decreased with decrease of gate length. However, the threshold voltages were increased with the decrease of gate lengths. The transfer curves were negatively shifted after negative gate stress and the threshold voltage was decreased. However, the subthreshold swing was not changed after negative gate stress. This is due to the hole trapping in the gate dielectric materials. The decreases of the threshold voltage variation with the decrease of gate length and the increase of gate width were believed due to the less hole injection into gate dielectrics after a negative gate stress.
Performance analysis on modified integer transforms for lossless image compression

In this paper, we introduce modified integer transforms for lossless image compression and evaluate their performances for two-dimensional transforms. The two-dimensional extensions of the modified integer transforms show different performances in terms of coding efficiency and computational complexity. Thus, we measure performances for two-dimensional separable transforms and a two-dimensional non-separable transform. The separable modified integer transform used in H.264, the modified integer transform using the lifting scheme, and the non-separable transform in JPEG XR are evaluated in this paper. Also, experiments and their results are given. The experimental results indicate that the modified integer transform using the lifting scheme shows the best performance in terms of compression efficiency.
The Change of Coastline through High Pass Filter using ASTER Images

This study is about the change of coastline through using ASTER images. ASTER image is a sensor loaded in earth resources satellite shoot in Japan on Dec. 1999. It has 15m, 30m, 90m coastline, three sensors of VNIR, TIR and WIR, therefore it's possible to obtain more information on the Earth than the existing satellite images cause it contains various a wavelength range in spite of relatively economic image. The coastline is changed according to topography shape because it's strongly localized. Besides, it's one of the most important factors in MGIS(Marine Geographic Information System). Therefore, this study is accomplished by analysing variation after abstraction the coastline automatically by Vector Line from ASTER satellite images. The study result will be used as an important basic data when analysis the change of e coastline hereafter.

People have been interested in the next generation media and service over 3D by development of 3D industry and generalization of 3D-related content and equipment in recent year. Many researchers predict that a strong candidate is digital hologram. Holographic technology is classified to capture(or generation), processing, and display(or reconstruction). This paper discusses the digital holographic display system using hybrid image pickup system and proposes a new structure of digital holographic display system. Through the proposed method a digital hologram can be scalably serviced according to display equipments with various resolutions, computing power of decoding part, and network bandwidth.
Improvement of Consistency for UML Diagrams with Cross Checking Rules

UML is a semantically rich language, but it is difficult to ensure consistency of the diagrams you have written. Therefore, in this paper, we propose cross checking rules to improve consistency between UML diagrams, especially between UML static diagram and dynamic diagram. We use metamodels in order to more clearly reflect interactions of UML elements in the checking rules and use OCL(Object Constraint Language) to accurately represent the checking rules. By comparing with the well-formedness rules of UML specification, we focus on consistency of UML diagrams. And we derive metamodels of static diagram and dynamic diagram, analysis the relationships of UML diagrams and finally, we test the usability of derived rules through a case study.
Moving Distance Measurement System using a Accelerometer Sensor

In this research, we propose a momentum measurement system using the accelerometer sensor, MCU, and Bluetooth to measure the exact momentum. The proposed system can figure out information for the real time travel distance. We performed various experiments, and analyzed the results using the proposed momentum measurement system. In the simulation experiments, we compared the reliability and accuracy for the existing momentum measurement systems from the analyzed results. The proposed system showed travel distance error of less than 8% as compared to the existing system with the error of approximately 13%. We expect that the proposed system apply to the commercial products.

In this paper, we proposed on the direction of self-repairing mimicking the cell on the digital system design. Three-dimensional array of cells rather than using the original structure of FPGA, an array of blocks for efficient error detection methods were investigated. With a certain regularity, so the design method in detail by dividing the full array. The digital circuits can be detected fault location easily and quickly.
ZBrush 3D animation character modeling using ZSphere

ZSphere of ZBrush can be added to the canvas, and most of all, added to the existing ZSphere as mobile geometrical objects. For example, arms can be produced out of the globoid in the progress of an intermediate step. characters with multiple limbs can be produced easily in this way. With Zsphere, several Child Spheres can be produced out of single Sphere, then these can be parents spheres, and can connect other Child Spheres. In this paper, by making each form through these processes, 3D characters were modeled to shape easily and rapidly. Since 3D objects can be added, rotated, and moved, they can interact smoothly with Z-depth of campus. To place these objects on the screen, paint, build fixed perspective image, smerge pixols and transform 3D objects, diverse transforming tools and sculpturing tools were used. The characters were designed in the way that first, the finished 3D characters were transformed into poly, then each side was restructured rapidly with Topology.
A Study on Game Character Classification Based on Texture and Edge Orientation Feature

This paper proposes a novel method for Game character classification based on texture and edge orientation feature. The character dose not move(NPC) and move the character is classified. Classification of property within the character of straight line segments are used to extract features. First, the character inside edge feature extraction and then calculates EEDH, SSPD. The extracted attribute represents the energy of a particular direction. Thus, these properties were used to classify of NPC and Monster. The proposed method, the user can reduce the unnecessary time in the game.
A Study on Contents Development for a Sensory Console Game Based on Bollywood

The current situation and problems of sensory console games was analyzed focusing on the Nintendo 'Wii.' In order to develop the limitation of contents that lean strongly towards sports and fail to offer diversity one step further into glocal cultural contents, a solution of applying 'Bollywood', which has a main musical format, is presented. Bollywood is a unique cultural code of India which can stimulate the purchase desires of consumers with its exotic freshness in third countries, and can be used to lead sales of a new form of game culture that is familiar yet in a new format in the 1.1 billion population Indian market. The political, social and economic codes of Bollywood are examined in this study in addition to cultural contents and codes that include Bollywood to develop contents that are not foreign to their culture.
A Study on Non-acoustic Stealth Techniques of Submarine

The submarines reach their weakest point when they sail on the surface to operate snorkel and periscope. At this period, however, there lies a high possibility that the submarines are detected by non-acoustic sensors such as radars, IR signatures, and human observations. In this paper, the non-acoustic stealth was adopted on the mast and periscope of submarines so as to overcome their vulnerability of being easily detected in this given situation. First of all, the non-acoustic detection sensors were investigated and the stealth methods were analyzed. And multi-layered structures consisting of RAM layer, IR layer, and Camouflage layer were proposed on the surface of the submarine. As a results, multi-layered structure was suggested with 3~5 mm of a magnetic material such as ferrite for RAM layer, 1~2 mm of ceramic or nickel for IR layer, and sea-blue paint for Camouflage layer.
