On the administrative security approaches against spear phishing attacks

Recently the paradigm of cyber attacks is changing due to the information security technology improvement. The cyber attack that uses the social engineering and targets the end users has been increasing as the organization's systems and networks security controls have been tightened. The 91% of APT(Advanced Persistent Threat) which targets an enterprise or a government agency to get the important data and disable the critical service starts with the spear phishing email. In this paper, we analysed the security threats and characteristics of the spear phishing in detail and explained why the technical solutions are not enough to prevent spear phishing attacks. Therefore, we proposed the administrative prevention methods for the spear phishing attack.
Compact Slot Antenna for 5.8 GHz RFID

In this paper, a design method for a compact slot antenna for 5.8 GHz RFID band (5.725-5.875 GHz) is studied. The proposed slot antenna is size-reduced by bending both ends of the straight slot in "I"-shape, and a rectangular feed patch is located inside the slot. The effects of slot length, location of feed patch, and width and length of feed patch on the antenna performance are examined. A prototype antenna with optimized parameters for 5.8 GHz band is fabricated on an FR4 substrate and tested experimentally to verify the results of this study. The experimental results show that the frequency band for a VSWR < 3 ranges 5.72-6.13 GHz (bandwidth 410 MHz), and it corresponds fairly well with the simulated band 5.64-5.97 GHz (bandwidth 330 MHz). The fabricated antenna shows good radiation performance such as maximum power density in both directions normal to the slot plane, low cross-polarization level of < -20 dB, and realized gain > 0 dBi within the frequency band.
An Efficient Resource Allocation Algorithm for Ubiquitous Sensor Networks

The key of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is low power wireless communication technology and proper resource allocation technology for efficient routing. The distinguished resource allocation method is needed for efficient routing in sensor network. To solve this problems, we propose an algorithm that can be adopted in USN with making up for weak points of PQ and WRR in this paper. The proposed algorithm produces the control discipline by the fuzzy theory to dynamically assign the weight of WRR scheduler with checking the Queue status of each class in sensor network. From simulation results, the proposed algorithm improves the packet loss rate of the EF class traffic to 6.5% by comparison with WRR scheduling method and that of the AF4 class traffic to 45% by comparison with PQ scheduling method.

A bead is intended to reach a specified target point in the minimum-time when it travels along a certain curve on a vertical plane with the gravity. This is called the brachistochrone problem. Its minimum-time control input may be found using the calculus of variation. However, the accuracy of its minimum-time control input is not high since the solution of the control input is based on a table form of inverse relations for some complicated nonlinear equations. To enhance the accuracy, this paper employs the neural network to represent the inverse relation of the complicated nonlinear equations. The accurate minimum-time control is possible with the interpolation property of the neural network. For various final target points, we have found that the proposed method is superior to the conventional ones through the computer simulations.
A Study on the Elevator Overbalance-Ratio Control and Improved Scheme for Safety

An elevator is driven by the friction between the pulley and wire rope. A balancing counter weight is connected to the elevator car with a wire rope. This structure is essential to drive elevators while it always has weight unbalance problems on each side. The overbalance-ratio of elevators may be an important factor for safety and structural efficiency; however, it is not yet clearly defined in the Requirements of Korea Elevator Inspection. This paper describes these "weight unbalance ratio" for control of elevators to reduce the number of accidents. It includes the analysis of current elevator maintenance situations and also proposes some fundamental improvement schemes for safety.
PCA-based Variational Model Composition Method for Roust Speech Recognition with Time-Varying Background Noise

This paper proposes an effective feature compensation method to improve speech recognition performance in time-varying background noise condition. The proposed method employs principal component analysis to improve the variational model composition method. The proposed method is employed to generate multiple environmental models for the PCGMM-based feature compensation scheme. Experimental results prove that the proposed scheme is more effective at improving speech recognition accuracy in various SNR conditions of background music, compared to the conventional front-end methods. It shows 12.14% of average relative improvement in WER compared to the previous variational model composition method.

In preperation for the compulsory installation of VHF(Very High Frequency) wireless equipment and fishing vessel automatic identification system according to the revision of "The Ships Safety Act" and "Fishing Vessel act", Fishery Information & Communication Department of National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives is building VHF communication network and automatic identification system for fishing vessel monitoring. This study suggests the protocol analysis for the calling of location requirement using DSC(Digital Selective Calling) function and show best way for fishing vessel automatic identification system. Also, it suggest way to realize fishing vessel monitoring system.
Downlink Performance Analysis for Cell Range Expansion Bias in Heterogeneous Mobile Communication Networks

New technologies such as multi-antenna and small cell were proposed as key technology for the next generation mobile system to cope with the explosively increasing mobile data traffic. In particular, heterogeneous mobile communication network which can improve spatial reuse factor by exploiting macro and small cells simultaneously is attracting attention. However, the heterogeneous network has a problem that the utilization of small cells becomes low because the transmit power of macro base stations is much higher than that of small base stations and then the probability that mobile stations are attached to the macro base stations becomes high. This problem is dominant in uplink. The concept of cell range expansion bias to mitigate the problem was proposed by 3GPP and the corresponding standardization is in progress. In this paper, we analyze the downlink performance of the heterogeneous mobile communication network based on a system level simulator with the cell range expansion bias in terms of average cell spectral efficiency.
Determination of Effective Relay Candidates for the Best Relay Selection in Wireless Systems in the Presence of Interference

In this paper, an outage probability for the best relay selection in decode-and-forward relaying systems in the presence of interference is analyzed over Rayleigh fading channels. Based on the outage performance results, we propose a method to determine effective relay candidates for the best relay selection, where the effective relay candidates represent the relays except for relays that make no contribution to improving the performance. in all possible relays given in the system. By determining the effective relay candidates, the feedback overhead of channel state information and the energy consumption of relays can be significantly reduced while minimizing the performance degradation. In this paper, we provide important parameters that affect the determination of the effective relay candidates.
A Channel Estimation Method by Orthogonalizing of the time domain training signals in MIMO-OFDM systems

In this paper, a channel estimation method by orthogonalizing of the time domain training signal in MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed. It has shown that Jeon's method cannot be directly used in 4 Tx antenna MIMO-OFDM systems since the delayed Rx signals interfere the orthogonal property of the time domain training signals. As a possible solution to the problem, in this paper, a guard interval is inserted into the center of the training signals so that the orthogonal property between the Rx training signals can be maintained. It is shown by using computer simulations that the proposed method can estimate the channel response in time domain in 4 Tx antenna MIMO-OFDM systems.
Joint Power-Saving and Routing Algorithm for Lifetime Maximization in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

In mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), power-saving technology of mobile nodes is divided into transmit power control (TPC), power-saving mode (PSM), and routing. TPC and PSM are operated in physical layer but the routing is managed in network layer, so the design of a joint algorithm is needed to provide better performance. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a joint power-saving and routing algorithm for maximizing the network lifetime while satisfying the end-to-end data rate in ad hoc networks. The proposed algorithm first applies the TPC or PSM to reduce the power consumption of mobile nodes and then performs the routing by considering the decided node lifetime in order to maximize the path lifetime. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm maximize the lifetime while satisfying the required rate according to the number of mobile nodes and the level of interference.
Buffer-based Service Differentiation Scheme in Optical Burst Switching Networks

In this paper, service differentiation scheme using optical buffer that is reduced in size with slow-light technology in optical burst switching networks is presented. In suggested scheme, each outport has buffer to store high-class burst only in case that all its wavelengths are occupied. When all wavelengths are being used, a new arriving high-class burst goes into the buffer and waits until a burst is serviced. As soon as a burst is serviced with a wavelength, the high-class burst at buffer is allocated to the free wavelength. In case that low-class burst is arriving under the same situation, it is not stored at the buffer but discarded. An analytical model is derived to analyze the performance of the suggested scheme and compare its performance with the conventional scheme such as preemption and deflection as well as no service differentiations.
Mobile Router Decision Using Multi-layered Perceptron in Nested Mobile Networks

In the nested mobile network environment, the mobile node selects one of multiple mobile routers. The MR(Mobile Router) by existing top-down or bottom-up methods may not be the optimal MR if the numbers of mobile nodes and routers are substantially increased, and the scale of the network is increased drastically. Since an inappropriate MR decision causes handover or binding renewal to mobile nodes, determining of the optimal MR is important for efficiency. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that decides on the optimal MR using MR QoS(Quality of Service) information, and we describe how to understand the various structured MLP(Multi-Layered Perceptron) based on the algorithm. In conclusion, we prove the ability of the suggested neural network for a nesting mobile network through the performance analysis of each learned MLP.
A Design of ITMS(Intelligent Transport Monitoring System) for Optimization of Freight Transport

This paper proposes the ITMS(Intelligent Transport Monitoring System) which manages the route and state of freight by using the Meteorological Office, the Transportation Management Center, GPS and Sensors, etc. The ITMS consists of the CIMS(Container Inner Monitoring System) transmitting the inner temperature and humidity of a container, the TMM(Transport Management Module) computing an estimated time of arrival with Freight Vehicle location information and transmits the result to the CIMS, the FMM(Freight Management Module) checking and managing the freight freshness by using the temperature and humidity of the collected containers, and the SMM(Stevedoring Management Module) selecting the container loading and unloading places with the information transmitted from the CIMS, the TMM, and the FMM and attaching the freight formation to containers using an RFID label. The ITMS not only checks the freight condition at intervals but also acquires and manages the freight information with RFID labels rapidly and accurately.

Recently, a great attention has been paid to a car black box device in the automobile markets besides it provides an accident re-construction based on the data which contains audio, video, and some meaningful driving information. Also, it is expected that the device will get to promote around public transit and the market will greatly grow within a few years. Thus, this research conducted of preference the influencing factors in decisions purchase of auto black box. Factors influencing in decisions purchase of black box were divided safety, functionality, differentiation, economics. A questionnaire survey was conducted to those who worked in a black box company. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications of factors influencing purchase decisions based on the results.
Implementation of Stereoscopic 3D Video Player System Having Less Visual Fatigue and Its Computational Complexity Analysis for Real-Time Processing

Recently, most of movies top-ranked in the box office are screening in Stereoscopic 3D, and the world's leading electronics companies such as Samsung and LG are getting the hots for 3DTV sales. However, each person has different binocular disparity and different viewing distance, and thus he or she feels the severe visual fatigue and headaches if he or she is watching 3D content with the same binocular disparity, which is very different from things he or she feels in the real world. To solve this problem, this paper proposes and implement a 3D rendering system that correct the disparity of 3D content by reflecting binocular distance and viewing distance. Then, the computational complexity is analyzed. Optical-flow and Warping algorithms turn out to consume 732 seconds and 5.7 seconds per frame, respectively. Therefore, a dedicated chip-set for both blocks is strongly required for real-time HD 3D display.

Correlation power analysis attack takes place at the point of operating a known value and a hidden value from a master key as an input. The hidden value can be found by analyzing a correlation between the result value and the measured power signal during the operation, witch makes it possible to estimate the master key from the hidden value. However, the correlation power analysis attack can be very difficult by changing the conditions that make the power analysis possible, when the known value and the operation is hidden, when it is impossible to estimate the master key from the hidden value, or when the correlation between the result value and the power signal is considerably lowered. Therefore this study proposes a software countermeasure using a secrete intermediate key to witch these conditions are applied.

CCSDS Standard is widely used in international space telecommunication area. In this standard, Encryption is realized using a unique hierarchical encryption protocol and satisfied security requirements of communication channels. For synchronization, encryption sync is attached in the beginning of encrypted data. But exceptional case(timing jittering, abnormal system shutdown, etc.) is occurred, receiving equipment cannot decrypt received data. In this paper, we propose a SES Alarmed link encryption synchronization method for sending warning signal to the transmitter when some problems have been occurred during the transmission and we also suggest optimum conditions for SES Alarm signal through performance analysis.
The Efficient AES-CCM Architecture for a hardware library in the WAVE

According to developing wireless communications in vehicle, various security threat in the WAVE(Wireless access in vehicular environments) is increased. To protect this, IEEE 1609.2 specify services as for prevent message from attacks such as spoofing, eavesdropping and replay. It is possible to implement a hardware library for defending these attacks. In this paper, we proposed a efficient AES-CCM architecture for the hardware library in the WAVE. We compare our architecture to the previous one in the same FPGA. And our design uses less slices than 27 % of it and less slices than 45 % of it if we share registers that were used by other modules in the library. We also achieves a throughput of 1355 Gbits/s in xc5vlx110t-2ff1136.

Only small numbers of medium-sized manufacturers have adopted a production management system. They have difficulty maintaining production cost and progress management, because they have used the ways that win a contract, not mass production system like a big company. Also a small company has to change standard features of products whenever customers want, by means of non-standardization and small quantity production method. As a result, it has been very difficult for a small company to establish a proper production management system. So, this paper tried to make a study about increasing production management system, using QR codes in a small-sized manufacturer with the ways that win a contract, based on real application case.

In this paper, we prepared the samples with the heat-treated substrate by means of co-evaporation method. The samples prepared with heat-treated substrate of
showed the vacancy on the surface, and it could be prevented by Se ambient condition. The samples prepared with variable heat-treated substrates such as
showed the increase of grain resulted to the increase of the density. Based on the XRD analysis, the heat treatment could remove the Cu2Se phase of the samples, but it didn't affect the absorption index of the samples. We, therefore, conclude the absorption index is not affected by heat treatment and is controlled by the thickness of the sample.
Design of Parallel Decimal Floating-Point Arithmetic Unit for High-speed Operations

In this paper, a decimal floating-point arithmetic unit(DFP) was proposed and redesigned to support high speed arithmetic operation employed parallel processing technique. The basic architecture of the proposed DFP was based on the L.K.Wang's DFP and improved it enabling high speed operation by parallel processing for two operands with same size of exponent. The proposed DFP was synthesized as a target device of xc2vp30-7ff896 using Xilinx ISE and verified by simulation using Flowrian tool of System Centroid co. Compared to L.K.Wang's DFP and reference 's method, the proposed DFP improved data processing speed about 8.4% and 3% respectively in case of same input data.
GPGPU based Depth Image Enhancement Algorithm

In this paper, we propose a noise reduction and hole removal algorithm in order to improve the quality of depth images when they are used for creating 3D contents. In the proposed algorithm, the depth image and the corresponding color image are both used. First, an intensity image is generated by converting the RGB color space into the HSI color space. By estimating the difference of distance and depth between reference and neighbor pixels from the depth image and difference of intensity values from the color image, they are used to remove noise in the proposed algorithm. Then, the proposed hole filling method fills the detected holes with the difference of euclidean distance and intensity values between reference and neighbor pixels from the color image. Finally, we apply a parallel structure of GPGPU to the proposed algorithm to speed-up its processing time for real-time applications. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs better than other conventional algorithms. Especially, the proposed algorithm is more effective in reducing edge blurring effect and removing noise and holes.
Real-time Flocking Simulation through RBF-based Vector Field

This paper introduces a real-time flocking simulation framework through radial basis function(RBF). The proposed framework first divides the entire environment into a grid structure and then assign a vector per each cell. These vectors are automatically calculated by using RBF function, which is parameterized from user-input control lines. Once the construction of vector field is done, then, flocks determine their path by following the vector field flow. The collision with static obstacles are modeled as a repulsive vector field, which is ultimately over-layed on the existing vector field and the inter-individual collision is also handled through fast lattice-bin method.
A Study on the Ballast Control System for Offshore Plant

Recently, the offshore plant has been revived by rise in oil prices and energy consumption. Due to the external environmental impact, the ballast system is essential for an offshore plant. The ballast system for the existing offshore plant, consist of pump 6EA and Ballast tank 4EA, is performed by the tilt control. However, this system is vulnerable to a failure due to the fact that a lot of equipment needs to be installed within the system. In this paper, a new concept of ballast system and the control algorithm based on IT is proposed. Simulator has been created to test the proposed system and algorithm, and as a result, it has proven that it is controlled stably.

In this paper, a smart meter applying the international communication protocols has been developed. A smart meter requires communication protocols for two-way communication and control technology, registration and deregistration of electronic devices between electric power suppliers to exchange data. Standardization for communication protocols of a smart meter has been proceeding both in the US and Europe. The smart meter developed in this paper applied ANSI C12.22 as a communication protocol which is a north american standard. A smart meter should also provide the electric consuming information and electricity charge information to the customer in real time. Thus, the customer can behave the demand response based on this information. In this paper, the measured electricity from the smart meter is reported to the customer, and IHD(In Home Display) implemented with the windows software presents the reported real time data.

Customized services for individuals in analysis of recently collected GPS information have been investigated in various aspects. As the size of collected GPS data gets larger, a variety of services is being released accordingly. Existing studies, however, are limited to presenting service models for users while there is little study on developing intelligent computing technologies in the introduction of GPS information into the system. This study suggests an algorithm to analyze traffic information by introducing GPS information into the system in order to take the lead among intelligent computing technologies. The suggested algorithm analyzes a map by means of the collected vehicle GPS information and sectional traffic information interpretation method; thus, the computer judges the traffic information collected by humans. The experiment result shows that the traffic information was properly analyzed upon the utilization of the given data. Although a small quantity of analyzed data was less reliable, the system maintained high reliability as the data was sufficient.

Everything has been simplified and abbreviated. The stream of times can be found through the smart phones since the ubiquitous world has be mentioned by Mark Webber. Judging by the flow of times, it's easy to predict that it will be more developed in the future. There are several ways of the development and one of them is to click a button in everything. For this study, the MaKey of MIT MELIALAB shows the possibility. As applying the study of clicking a button in everything, this paper proposes the Smart Lighting Control System using the u-Button. For the actual implementation, u-Button Module with MICAz and various sensors, Actuator Node composed of ZigBeX and LED Module are produced.

Interest in reducing standby power is increasing because of electric power shortages. Most of electric equipment are in standby state that does not use a function of the original, most electronic devices consume a lot of electric power even in standby mode. In many countries, research on the smart plug is advanced in order to prevent power consumption due to standby state. However, due to the nature of the function, expensive in many case. These smart plugs would be to cut the standby power using motion detecting sensor or pattern control of the user. Theses features have no advantages because of malfunction of motion detecting sensor and in accordance with the diversification ot user's pattern. In this study, developing a multi-smart plug system that linked with bluetooth function of user's smart phone. Using smart phone bluetooth function, determination of the position of the user. The suggestion smart plug cutting the standby power of the electronic apparatus. It was confirmed that it is able to reduce the power consumption according to the location of the user.

The emergence of smart phones has brought about a revolution in introducing a computer into the palm of a hand, and this revolution has lead to a smart society that offers comfort and joy in life; however, some side effects including a smart phone syndrome have been identified on a wider and more varied scale compared with any other IT devices of the past. This paper deduced side effect types and key issues according to type focusing on risk factors in accordance with the purpose of the use of smart phones, and diagnosed social effects based on them. In addition, based on the diagnosed results, the study proposed solutions to minimize side effects in order to produce social understanding and sympathy concerning the desirable utilization of smart phones. The proposed solutions should be able to cope with visible and potential side effects systematically by helping people to utilize smart phones, which are a platform of creativity, cooperation, communications, and entertainments, in a desirable way.

We investigated the effects of testosterone on the improvement of white adipose tissue explant and its molecular mechanism in adipose tissue of high fat diet-fed male castrated (CAST) mice. The CAST mice treated with testosterone had lower adipose tissue weights, the average size of adipocytes and mRNA levels of
as well as adipocyte marker genes than the vehicle-treated CAST mice. These results suggest that testosterone prevent the expression of
-mediated adipocyte marker genes, resulting in decreased adipose tissue mass and adipocyte metabolism in male CAST mice. Moreover, this study give a valuable molecular and biological knowledge on testosterone therapy in obese hypogonadal men.

To diagnose the cardiac valve abnormalities using analysis of phonocardiogram, first of all, accurate detection of S1, S2 components is needed for heart sound segmentation. In this paper, a new method that uses the third moment characteristics of an envelope of the PCG is proposed for accurate detection of S1 and S2 components of the heart sound with cardiac murmurs. The envelope of the PCG is obtained from the short-time energy profile, and its third moment profile with slope information is used for accurate time gating of the S1, S2 components. Experimental results have shown that the proposed method is superior to the conventional second moment method for detection of S1 and S2 regions from the heart sound signals with cardiac murmurs.
Genotype-Calling System for Somatic Mutation Discovery in Cancer Genome Sequence

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has enabled whole genome and transcriptome single nucleotide variant (SNV) discovery in cancer and method of the most fundamental being determining an individual's genotype from multiple aligned short read sequences at a position. Bayesian algorithm estimate parameter using posterior genotype probabilities and other method, EM algorithm, estimate parameter using maximum likelihood estimate method in observed data. Here, we propose a novel genotype-calling system and compare and analyze the effect of sample size(S = 50, 100 and 500) on posterior estimate of sequencing error rate, somatic mutation status and genotype probability. The result is that estimate applying Bayesian algorithm even for 50 of small sample size approached real parameter than estimate applying EM algorithm in small sample more accurately.

In this paper, we propose a novel design and implementation method to detect musical plagiarism which can provide human experts evidences to decide plagiarism using cutting-edge information technologies and thereby can solve exhaustive disputes on cases of musical plagiarism when the cases are decided by human experts' emotional preferences. We first search digital music elements to analyze music source and examine how to use these in plagiarism analysis using IT techniques. Therefore we designed music plagiarism analysis system by using MusicString which is supported in JFugue and construct AST to manipulate music plagiarism analysis efficiently.

Life time of facilities is different In case of operating environment and frequency of use. So, the durable year of the facilities is only considered to replace the facilities at present. Thus, system management is needed economical assesment based on condition evaluation through performance analysis of facilities. This research makes a proposal for scientific condition evaluation table through physical assessment, performance analysis assessment, durable years assessment about satellite communication facilities being used in K-water. Consequentially, reasonable replacement plan is established for satellite communication facilities.
