Printed electronics creates electrically functional devices by printing on variety of substrates. Printing typically uses common printing equipment or other low-cost equipment suitable for defining patterns on material, such as screen printing, flexography, gravure, offset lithography and inkjet. Compared to conventional manufacturing of microelectronics, printed electronics is characterized by simpler and more cost-effective fabrication of high and low volume products. Now there is huge effort towards printing many other more functional components, from displays to transistors to photovoltaic cells, using the full range of printing technologies - from inkjet to roll to roll analogue print techniques. The market for printed electronics will rise from $1.99 billion in 2010 to $55.10 billion in 2020. In 2030, this industry could be $300 billion - larger than the silicon semiconductor industry - from lighting to displays.
Implementation of RF Oscillator Using Microstrip Split Ring Resonator (SRR)

In this paper, a novel split ring resonator is proposed for improvement of phase noise characteristics that is weak point of oscillator using planar type microstrip line resonator, and oscillator for 5.8GHz band is designed using proposed split ring resonator. At the fundamental frequency of 5.8GHz, 7.22dBm output power and -83.5 dBc@100kHz phase noise have been measured for oscillator with split ring resonator. The phase noise characteristics of oscillator is improved about 9.7dB compared to one using the general
/4 microstrip resonator. Because it is possible that varactor diode or lumped capacitor is placed on the gaps of split ring resonator, resonant frequency can be controlled by bias voltage. We can design voltage controlled oscillator using proposed split ring resonator. Thus, due to its simple fabrication process and planar type, it is expected that the technique in this paper can be widely used for low phase noise oscillators for both MIC and MMIC applications.
Reference Channel Input-Based Speech Enhancement for Noise-Robust Recognition in Intelligent TV Applications

In this paper, a noise reduction system is proposed for the speech interface in intelligent TV applications. To reduce TV speaker sound which are very serious noises degrading recognition performance, a noise reduction algorithm utilizing the direct TV sound as the reference noise input is implemented. In the proposed algorithm, transfer functions are estimated to compensate for the difference between the direct TV sound and that recorded with the microphone installed on the TV frame. Then, the noise power spectrum in the received signal is calculated to perform Wiener filter-based noise cancellation. Additionally, a postprocessing step is applied to reduce remaining noises. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm shows 88% recognition rate for isolated Korean words at 5 dB input SNR.
Cooperative Node Selection for the Cognitive Radio Networks

Cognitive radio has been recently proposed to dynamically access unused-spectrum. The CR users can share the same frequency band with the primary user without interference to each other. Usually each CR user needs to determine spectrum availability by itself depending only on its local observations. But uncertainty communication environment effects can be mitigated so that the detection probability is improved in a heavily shadowed environment. Soft detection is a primary user detection method of cooperative cognitive radio networks. In our research, we will improve system detection probability by using optimal cooperative node selection algorithm. New algorithm can find optimal number of cooperative sensing nodes for cooperative soft detection by using maximum ratio combining (MRC) method. Through analysis, proposed cooperative node selection algorithm can select optimal node for cooperative sensing according to the system requirement and improve the system detection probability.
Performance Evaluation of Convolution Coding OFDM Systems

OFDM technique uses multiple sub-carriers for the data transmission. Therefore, bit error rate increases because of inter-carrier interference caused by nonlinear high power amplifier and carrier frequency offset. Wireless OFDM transmission over multi path fading channels is characterized by small transmission gain in multiple sub-carrier frequency interval. Therefore bit error rate increases because of burst errors. Inter-leaver and convolution error control coding are effective for the reduction of this burst error. Pilot symbol is used for the channel estimation in OFDM systems. However, imperfect channel estimates in this systems degrade the performance. The performance of this convolution coding OFDM systems using inter-leaver, gauged by the bit error rate, is analyzed considering the nonlinear high power amplifier, carrier frequency offset and channel estimation error.

Internet is becoming more common with increasing cloud services have been spreading rapidly. A SLA is agreements between service providers and customers of service providers is how to ensure quality of service. SLA in cloud computing environments from the perspective of the IT service providers to customer satisfaction increase for service quality, it will need to differentiate between competing carriers QoS guarantees with SLA is a very important factor. However, the study of SLA in the cloud is staying in its infancy. In this paper, SLA indices for cloud services defining and use them SLA Management System for QoS guarantee has been implemented. The proposed system using monitoring-based migration policy an open source-based cloud computing platform which Cluster Nodes load distribution of virtual machines assigned to their availability, response time, throughput analysis of what affects and is compared with existing cloud.
The Effect of Solar Burst in Communications System for Lunar Exploration

Since the solar activity, one of the factors influencing on lunar communication systems, is to reach its maximum occurring at 11-year solar cycle in autumn 2013, the solar burst frequency and strength are expected to increase. The solar burst has an effect on earth magnetosphere and causes malfunction, loss of communication, and breakdown of various types of satellites and probes. These problems give rise to huge economic and physical loss. Therefore, we should analyze the effect of solar burst on lunar communications and minimize the expected loss. In this paper, we perform the analysis of the link model and link performance between a land station and a lunar orbiter under the solar burst for orbiter's survivability and stable communication channel operations.

Personal information is defined information related to users' privacy data. It can be verified information through social security number, image, and means relating to individual can verify. Such personal information is in accordance with the privacy act in law for the collection and usage in enterprises and institutions. However, it can be induced privacy problem when it is exposed information without attention. This user's inadvertent disclosure of personal information has occurred due to social engineering and intelligent cyber-crime occurred in order to solve these problems. A variety of protection solutions for personal information have been developed. There are three ways how to extract forensic evidence from mobile phone, such as SYN, JTAG, Revolving. However, it should be a different way to extract forensic evidence due to the differences of their usage and technology between them(mobile phone and smart phone). Therefore, in this paper, I will come up with extraction method that forensics evidence by search and seizure of a smart phone. This study aims to analyze specifications and O.S., backup analysis, evidence in smart to analyze for search and seizure of a smart phone commonly used google android and windows mobile smart phone. This study also aim to extract forensics evidence related to google android and phone book, SMS, photos, video of window mobile smart phone to make legal evidence and forensics report. It is expected that this study on smart phone forensics technology will contribute to developing mobile forensics technology.

As a means for users to interact online, Social Network Service focuses on facilitating the building of social relation. Also, Social Network Service(SNS) provides various functions for managing relationships and sharing information based on relationships. Analyzing behavioral characteristics and the process of relationship formation can help to identify the characteristics of the model for online human relationship. In this paper, we analyze usage pattern based on characteristics posted messages of influential users in Twitter. Also, classifying Facebook users into influential group and uninfluential group based on the number of their social relations, we analyze and compare characteristics of relationship formation patterns of the two classified groups. In addition, we present characteristics of human relation model in social network according to the pattern analysis.
Design and Implementation of a Mobile Framework for Efficient Inventory Management of Refrigerated Warehouses

Refrigerated warehouse inventory management program which manages the logistics of shipping&receiving and inventory quickly and accurately is a costly and labor-intensive maintenance because it is operated in the legacy system on a closed client-server environment. There are no services available for consignees who are the consumers of refrigerated warehouses except fax or phone for orders which makes the business process inefficient and creates many problems such as error and inaccuracy. In this paper, we design and implement a mobile framework with a legacy system supporting various services to the consignees for solving problems of outdated legacy systems and no services to use. The system supports promptness and accuracy which give the users improved satisfaction by providing orders and queries of inventory for the consignees on mobile devices.
Enhancing Document Clustering Using Term Re-weighting Based on Semantic Features

In this paper, we propose a enhancing document clustering method using term re-weighting by the expanded term. The proposed method extracts the important terms of documents in cluster using semantic features, which it can well represent the topics of document to expand term using WordNet. Besides, the method can improve the performance of document clustering using re-weighting terms based on the expanded terms. The experimental results demonstrate appling the proposed method to document clustering methods achieves better performance than the normal document clustering methods.
A Design of High-speed Phase Calculator for 3D Depth Image Extraction from TOF Sensor Data

A hardware implementation of phase calculator for extracting 3D depth image from TOF(Time-Of-Flight) sensor is described. The designed phase calculator, which adopts a pipelined architecture to improve throughput, performs arctangent operation using vectoring mode of CORDIC algorithm. Fixed-point MATLAB modeling and simulations are carried out to determine the optimized bit-widths and number of iteration. The designed phase calculator is verified by FPGA-in-the-loop verification using MATLAB/Simulink, and synthesized with a TSMC 0.18-
CMOS cell library. It has 16,000 gates and the estimated throughput is about 9.6 Gbps at 200Mhz@1.8V.
A Design of Multi-Standard LDPC Decoder for WiMAX/WLAN

This paper describes a multi-standard LDPC decoder which supports 19 block lengths(576~2304) and 6 code rates(1/2, 2/3A, 2/3B, 3/4A, 3/4B, 5/6) of IEEE 802.16e mobile WiMAX standard and 3 block lengths(648, 1296, 1944) and 4 code rates(1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6) of IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard. To minimize hardware complexity, it adopts a block-serial (partially parallel) architecture based on the layered decoding scheme. A DFU(decoding function unit) based on sign-magnitude arithmetic is used for hardware reduction. The designed LDPC decoder is verified by FPGA implementation, and synthesized with a 0.13-
CMOS cell library. It has 312,000 gates and 70,000 bits RAM. The estimated throughput is about 79~210 Mbps at 100 MHz@1.8v.
Analysis for Breakdown Voltage of Double Gate MOSFET according to Device Parameters

This paper have presented the breakdown voltage for double gate(DG) MOSFET. The analytical solution of Poisson's equation and Fulop's breakdown condition have been used to analyze for breakdown voltage. The double gate(DG) MOSFET has the advantage to reduce the short channel effects as improving the current controllability of gate. But we need the study for the breakdown voltage of DGMOSFET since the decrease of the breakdown voltage is unavoidable. To approximate with experimental values, we have used the Gaussian function as charge distribution for Poisson's equation, and the change of breakdown voltage has been observed for device geometry. Since this potential model has been verified in the previous papers, we have used this model to analyze the breakdown voltage. As a result to observe the breakdown voltage, the smaller channel length and the higher doping concentration become, the smaller the breakdown voltage becomes. Also we have observed the change of the breakdown voltage for gate oxide thickness and channel thickness.

In this paper, a CMOS temperature sensor is proposed to measure the internal temperature of a chip. The temperature sensor consists of a proportional-to-absolute-temperature (PTAT) circuit for a temperature sensing part and a 4-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for a digital interface. The PTAT circuit with the compact area is designed by using a vertical PNP architecture in the CMOS process. The Hardware Design of a High throughput CABAC Decoder for HEVC

This paper proposes an efficient hardware architecture of CABAC for HEVC decoder. The proposed method is structured to handle two bins in one cycle, while preserving data dependencies of the CABAC. In addition, the processing time of the proposed architecture is reduced because the operation using Offset and Range is processed while the architecture reads rLPS from rLPSROM. As a result of analyzing operating frequency of the proposed CABAC architecture, the proposed architecture has improved by 40% than the previous one.

This paper propose the hardware architecture of face detection hardware system using the AdaBoost algorithm. In this paper, a high-reliability differential paired 24-bit eFuse OTP memory with program-verify-read mode for PMICs is designed. In the proposed program-verify-read mode, the eFuse OTP memory can do a sensing margin test with a variable pull-up load in consideration of programmed eFuse resistance variation and can output a comparison result through a PFb (pass fail bar) pin by comparing a programmed datum with its read one. A Method for Improving Vein Recognition Performance by Illumination Normalization

Recently, the personal identification technologies using vein pattern of back of the hand, palm, and finger have been developed actively because it has the advantage that the vein blood vessel in the body is impossible to damage, make a replication and forge. However, it is difficult to extract clearly the vein region from captured vein images through common image prcessing based region segmentation method, because of the light scattering and non-uniform internal tissue by skin layer and inside layer skeleton, etc. Especially, it takes a long time for processing time and makes a discontinuity of blood vessel just in a image because it has non-uniform illumination due to use a locally different adaptive threshold for the binarization of acquired finger-vein image. To solve this problem, we propose illumination normalization based fast method for extracting the finger-vein region. The proposed method has advantages compared to the previous methods as follows. Firstly, for remove a non-uniform illumination of the captured vein image, we obtain a illumination component of the captured vein image by using a low-pass filter. Secondly, by extracting the finger-vein path using one time binarization of a single threshold selection, we were able to reduce the processing time. Through experimental results, we confirmed that the accuracy of extracting the finger-vein region was increased and the processing time was shortened than prior methods.

These days, many people live a healthy life, but suffering caused by chronic diseases. The main factors of chronic diseases are stress, blood pressure and obesity. Chronic diseases which are caused by high blood pressure are very high incidence. Therefore, this paper suggests the ways to prevent as diagnosis a phenomenon that occur rising in blood pressure consistently by analyzing the voice according th rising in blood pressure. For this, I studied some influence on voicing through rising in blood pressure by applying pitch that measure vocal fold vibration and intensity that measure voice energy size that is one of technique. Generally, a camera isn't located at the center of display in a tele-presence system and it causes an incorrect eye contact between speakers which reduce the realistic feeling during the conversation. To solve this incorrect eye contact problem, we newly propose an intermediate view reconstruction algorithm using both a color camera and a depth camera and applying for the depth image based rendering (DIBR) algorithm. In the proposed algorithm, an efficient hole filling method using the arithmetic mean value of neighbor pixels and an efficient boundary noise removal method by expanding the edge region of depth image are included. We show that the generated eye-contacted image has good quality through experiments.
3D sensing and segmentation of microorganism using microfluidic device and digital holography

Microfluidic devices can offer precise control for a verity of tasks involving biological specimen. In this paper, we propose an integrated system consisting of a microfluidic device along with a digital holographic microscope and present three-dimensional (3D) sensing and segmentation of biological microorganisms. When the individual microorganisms are inputted into the microfluidic channel, the holographic microscope records their holograms. The holograms are computationally reconstructed in 3D using Fresnel transform and the reconstructed phase images are used to search the position of microorganisms. Optical experiments are carried out and experimental results are presented to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed system.

This study proposes a framework that enables efficient integration and usage of enterprise data using semantic based concept net. Integration of enterprise information that has been increasing geometrically in cloud environment. The concept net is very similar in approaching way to existing ontology. However, it builds correlation between object and concept to help user's information integration retrieval more efficiently. In this study, concept nets are divided into 3 kinds and are applied to the proposed framework independently. The concept net in this study is built in ontology format based on master information concept net, keyword concept net and business process concept net. This concept net enables retrieval and usage of data based on correlation among data according to user's request. Then, through combination of master information concept and keyword concept, it provides frequency trace of keyword and category thus improving convenience and speed of retrieval.
Modified Median Filter for Impulse Noise Removal

As the technology of the digital information age has developed rapidly, lots of research has been done on the digital image processing techniques, such as the image restoration. However, the SM(Standard Median) filter is a typical method of recovering the image which are corrupted by the impulse noise, this method will also reduce the quality of image by generating an error in the edge region. In this paper, in order to restore the corrupted images in the impulse noise environment, a modified median filter algorithm is proposed, which uses the pixels as the center and takes double mask. By using the double mask, we are succeeded in acquiring the excellent performance on noise-canceling, edge preservation, and also in improving the quality of image.
Computer Programming Education using App Inventor for Android

Many people are showing interest on computing and computer programming ever as much as the smartphone become more popular. Computer programming languages, however, like Java or C++ being used to teach freshmen in computer science-related majors as the first programming language they will study are so difficult to understand. In this paper, we proposed a short-term curriculum for teaching computer programming using App Inventor for Android to freshmen students major in computer science as the first programming language they will study, which can encourage their interest in computer programming. According to survey from students participated in actual teaching, we found that the proposed curriculum can contribute to increase their interest on computer programming and even self-confidence on development of applications for smarphone.
Development of Position Awareness Algorithm Using Improved Trilateration Measurement Method

In this paper, location recognition algorithm is developed to improve the accuracy using improve Trilateration. The location recognition algorithm is first calculate the location refer to the measured signal power. Error can be occurred when measure distance with arranged node in specific location. If the distance data is received from node (receiver, coordinator), Node selected for location calculation is defined through section. If the distance data is received from node (receiver, coordinator), Node selected for location calculation is defined through section. Second, we apply algorithm of section filtering. If there are 4 sections in node, we consider 1 section to 6 location recognition coordinates. A special characteristic drawback of RF is that the actual distance is actually farther than the calculated received distance data. This is error is incurred when the signal strength increases. We reduce the location recognition error by applying an improved algorithm as secondary after filtering primary through section filtering.
Bit Synchronization Using Violation Bit Detection in 13.56MHz RFID PJM Tag

To successfully accomplish a bit synchronization, a synchronizer should exploit a preamble pattern. A MFM (modified frequency modulation) flag is uses as a preamble in a PJM (phase jitter modulation) mode RFID standard. In the recent work, a synchronizer for a PJM mode tag was proposed, which is composed of several correlators. In this paper, we present a new bit synchronizer in which a coarse synchronization is done as in the previous work while a fine synchronization is performed via exploiting a violation bit included in the MFM flag. We show that the proposed synchronizer can significantly reduce the overall hardware complexity at the expense of slight burden to a demodulator structure. Through simulation, we also show that its performance is comparable to that of the previous system despite its hardware simplicity.
Backward Migration of an Active Rule Mobile Agent on the Sensor Network

For the activeness and autonomy of a sensor network, the efficient migration method of a mobile agent and the consistent naming services are the required components of a sensor network. Accordingly, this paper presented the implementation of backward migration of an active rule mobile agent applying the naming method based on RMI that used the meta_table including the informations about the components of a sensor network. This study implemented based on the extension of the forward migration, and the results of the various experiments present the efficacy of mobile agent middleware system and the possibility of constructing efficient sensor network application environment. And, the results of this study are able to enhance the adaptability on dynamic changes of environment in sensor network application development.

In the mobile Ad hoc Network(MANET), improving technique for management and control of topology is recognized as an important part of the next generation network. In this paper, we proposed an efficient node life time management of ATICC(Adaptive Time Interval Clustering Control) in Ad-hoc Networks. Ad-hoc Network is a self-configuration network or wireless multi-hop network based on inference topology. This is a method of path routing management node for increasing the network life time through the periodical route alternation. The proposed ATICC algorithm is time interval control technique depended on the use of the battery energy while node management considering the attribute of node and network routing. This can reduce the network traffic of nodes consume energy cost effectively. As a result, it could be improving the network life time by using timing control method in ad-hoc networks.
A Study on the Implementation of Mobile Healthcare System using Hybrid App

Mobile Healthcare is a new type of health care services for managing health and life irrespective of time and space by uniting IT and BT. For this service bio-signal measurement using WBAN, and data analysis and monitoring technologies based on mobile devices are essential. Generally, however, mobile application has low compatibility because of the features of mobile platform, we have to redevelop it to support the corresponding platform. In this paper we introduce a Mobile Healthcare System which can function as gateway and monitoring based on hybrid app to create ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system compatible with various mobile devices by overcoming the difference of platforms. The proposed system consists of sensor composition part, monitoring composition part, and server composition part.

For the development of reliable software, Software testing is the most important. Recently small changes of the software according to the importance of regression testing is growing. To verify Application of a large number of nodes, Network simulator environment is required. This paper proposed interface module between network framework for sensor network application and co-simulator to unit test sensor network application. To conclude, developer can focus on sensor network application implementation only, so the improved integrated simulator contributes to increase development productivity.
