Recently. smartphones have been popularized rapidly and now located deep in our daily life, providing a variety of services from banking, SNS (Social Network Service), and entertainment to smart-work mobile office through apps. Such smartphone apps can be easily downloaded from what is known as app store which, however, bears many security issues as software developers can just as easily upload to it. Military apps will be exposed to a myriad of security threats if distributed through internet-basis commercial app store. In order to mitigate such security concerns, this paper suggests a security guidelines for establishing a military-excusive app store and security verification system which prevent the security hazards that can occur during the process of development and distribution of military-use mobile apps.
The implementation of remote IPMC control system using android smartphone

Recently, Ionic Polymer Metal Composite (IPMC) systems receive great attention in the fields of the medical and biomedical Engineering because of several merits in terms of new actuators and sensors and fuel cell materials. When the voltage is excited to IPMC system, it moves. Conversely, if there are any movement on the IPMC, the IPMC has charge voltage by the internal properties. Therefore the IPMC can be used as a motion sensor or force sensor. In this paper, we identify characteristics of the IPMC and control its movements from remote locations by the smart-phone system based on visual information for monitoring. Additionally, control of movements of the IPMC is realized by transmit motion commands using the smart-phone system with the blue-tooth communication. Unfortunately, there are some deficiencies to perfectly attain physical properties of the IPMC systems from our experiments in this paper. However, in its utilization point of view, we demonstrate that the IPMC has some potentials as new sensors, actuators, and fuel cells.
LFM Signal Separation Using Fractional Fourier Transform

The Fractional Fourier transform, as a generalization of the classical Fourier Transform, was first introduced in quantum mechanics. Because of its simple and useful properties of Fractional Fourier transform in time-frequency plane, various research results in sonar and radar signal processing have been introduced and shown superior results to conventional method utilizing Fourier transform until now. In this paper, we applied Fractional Fourier transform to sonar signal processing to detect and separate the overlapping linear frequency modulated signals. Experimental results show that received overlapping LFM(Linear Frequency Modulation) signals can be detected and separated effectively in Fractional Fourier transform domain.
Enhancement of Frequency Lines of Acoustic Signature in Vernier Analysis Using the Autocorrelation-based Postprocessing

In this paper, we propose a novel method to enhance the harmonic components from the frequency lines of the passive sonar signals. For this, we first separate the stable frequency lines from unstable ones using mean and difference of spectral bins in the vernier analysis. Then we emphasize the harmonic components using autocorrelation-based postprocessing, and enhance them by reducing the background noise with the split-window two pass mean algorithm. Experimental results for real underwater acoustic data are presented with our discussions.
Coverage Analysis of WCDMA-based Femto Cells for Data Offloading

Recently, solutions to accommodate explosively growing mobile data traffic have attracted intensive attentions since the emergence of high-performance smartphones. Spectrum which can be exploited for mobile communications is very limited. Thus, femto cell is considered as an alternative because it can efficiently offload mobile data traffic from macro cells without using additional spectrum. In this paper, we mathematically analyzed the coverage of femto cell when it is deployed in an area where there exists signals from existing macro base stations. Our numerical results indicate that the coverage of femto cell increases as the total power of femto cell increases or the ratio of power allocated to pilot channel increases. However, it is also shown that the coverage of femto cell is very limited despite its high power when interference signals from macro base stations are strong.
Android mobile phone information push system based on the XMPP protocol

In this paper, android phone information push system based on the XMPP protocol is proposed. For this, we implement a XMPP(eXtensible Message and Presence Protocol) based instant message system in C/S network environment by using Java language and eclipse device. This system not only allows sending and receiving messages from the PC server to mobile phone client, but also enables the expansion into the smack package of an android phone. Thus, this system shown, in this paper has the better performance in transmission and transfer speed than those of the basic XMPP protocol system.
A Design and Implementation of a P2P Streaming System with Considering Network Efficiency

Recently, many researches on P2P overlay network-based multimedia streaming services have been actively performed because of their high scalability and cost-efficiency advantages. However, P2P overlay networks also have the shortcoming of generating higher traffic owing to their unicast-based one-to-many multimedia deliveries. In order to reduce the traffic generated by the P2P streaming overlay network, we propose an ISP and locality-based parent node discovery method and check its feasibility through an implementation of a prototype streaming system. The measurement of RTTs and hop counts for random nodes having different ISPs and localities shows the proposed method to be able to shorten about 32% RTTs and about 17% Hop counts.

In ad hoc networks, a distributed timing synchronization is studied using a firefly-inspired approach. We illuminate the exiting synchronization algorithm based on the theory of pulse-coupled oscillators so that the algorithm can be applied to multi-carrier systems through packet-based communications, where nodes communicate over an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access air interface. As our main result, we introduce a new sync-code detector, which optimally designs both the coupling function and the detection threshold when various network parameters such as the number of nodes in the network and network topology are given a priori. Computer simulations are performed to show the convergence to a synchronized state in realistic network environments.

In this paper, the lens module of mega pixel type was designed for barrel distortion calibration due to the barrel distortion of ultra wide angle. And the performance of this camera module was improved with the images from wide dynamic range 2 megapixel CMOS image sensor.
Efficient Encryption Technique of Image using Packetized Discrete Wavelet Transform

In this paper, we propose a new method which estimates and encrypts significant component of digital image such as digital cinema using discrete wavelet packet transform (DWPT). After analyzing the characteristics of images in spatial and frequency domain, the required information for ciphering an image was extracted. Based on this information an ciphering method was proposed with wavelet transform and packetization of subbands. The proposed algorithm can encrypt images in various robust from selecting transform-level and energy threshold. From analyzing the encryption effect numerically and visually, the optimized parameter for encryption is presented. Without additional analyzing process, one can encrypt efficiently digital image using the proposed parameter. Although only 0.18% among total data is encrypted, the reconstructed image dose not identified. The paketization information of subbands and the cipher key can be used for the entire secret key.

The file security function, which this paper suggests, restricts the access of an unauthorized users by using password algorithm and saving file. Saved files that are encrypted are read by decrypting them with decryption algorithm. These features are user interface to design the program for user friendly. The security function implements both file encryption and decryption programs and tests whether the experiment works or not. In addition, when a decryption is progressed and the settings of between decryption and encryption are different each other, the security function also checks the possibility of decryption. We can enhance the security on important files stored in Windows servers or personal computers by developing this program.

A Design of Network Management System for Efficiently Isolating Devices Infected with ARP Spoofing Virus

ARP spoofing is a typical Internet attack, in which an attacker sends data by changing his`s MAC address with the other`s one. Currently, this attack is usually dealt with separating the attacking PCs infected with ARP spoofing virus, by keeping network devices investigating by the network manager. However, this manual process has some limitations in time and accuracy. This paper proposes a new network management system to replace the effort of network manager who has to keep on inspecting the network. Along with designing an ARP analyzer and a disconnection notifier and adding them into the existing network management system, the proposed system provides a basement to identify and notify the PC infected by an ARP spoofing virus with fast and high accuracy. As a result, it is expected to minimize the network break off and to make easy the network management.

Recently, researches are studied in developing efficient techniques for accessing, querying, and managing XML documents which are frequently used in the Internet. In this paper, we propose a new method to cluster XML documents efficiently. An element and an inclusion relationship of a XML document corresponds to a node and a level of the corresponding tree, respectively. Therefore, when two XML documents are similar then their nodes` names and levels of the corresponding trees are also similar. In this paper, we cluster XML documents by using nodes` names and levels of the corresponding tree as a feature of a document. The experiment shows that our proposed method has a good performance.

U-healthcare system supports healthcare service of prevention, diagnosis, medical treatment and currently various medical service systems. Therefore, utilization of medical information thru hospitals, medical agencies is unevitable in this society. However, the standard draft of HL7 which is a standard of medical information does not support specification of medical information being used currently. Thus, in this paper, we study standard HL7 message system to analyze and adjust the medical information and it will help to utilize efficient medical information and the method is verified to be sufficiently effective.
Design of a Convergence Point Adjustment Method to Minimize Visual Discomfort due to Zoom-In

Even though a dual lens stereoscopic camera allows for convenient stereoscopic photography, the necessity for the research comes up, since the dual lens stereoscopic camera can cause visual discomfort during zoom-in due to the fixed convergence point. We propose a method based on which a convergence point can be adjusted to prevent visual discomfort during zoom-in for a dual lens stereoscopic camera. First, the relational model is classified into nine kinds and defined, depending on locations of focus, object, and convergence point. And then, the method to minimize visual discomfort is suggested by adjusting convergence point on the given model. We also implement the suggested methods with anaglyph computer graphic and demonstrate the superiority of them.
Breakdown Voltages Deviation for Channel Dimension of Double Gate MOSFET

This paper have analyzed the change of breakdown voltage for channel dimension of double gate(DG) MOSFET. The breakdown voltage to have the small value among the short channel effects of DGMOSFET to be next-generation devices have to be precisely analyzed. The analytical solution of Poisson`s equation have been used to analyze the breakdown voltage, and Gaussian function been used as carrier distribution to analyze closely for experimental results. The breakdown voltages have been analyzed for device parameters such as channel thickness and doping concentration, and projected range and standard projected deviation of Gaussian function. Since this potential model has been verified in the previous papers, we have used this model to analyze the breakdown voltage. As a result, we know the breakdown voltage is influenced on Gaussian function and device parameters for DGMOSFET.
A 65-nm CMOS Low-Power Baseband Circuit with 7-Channel Cutoff Frequency and 40-dB Gain Range for LTE-Advanced SAW-Less RF Transmitters

This paper describes a low-power baseband circuit for SAW-less LTE-Advanced transmitters. The proposed transmitter baseband circuit consists of a 2nd-order Tow-Thomas type active RC-LPF and a 1st-order passive RC LPF. It can provide a 7 multi-channel cut-off frequencies and wide gain control range of -41 dB ~ 0 dB with a 1-dB step. The proposed 2nd-order active RC-LPF adopts an op-amp in which three other sub-op amps are in parallel connected to reduce DC current for different cutoff frequency. In addition, each sub-op amp adopts both Miller and feed-forward phase compensation method to achieve an UGBW of more than 1-GHz with a small DC power consumption. The proposed baseband circuit is implemented in 65-nm CMOS technology, consuming DC power from 6.3 mW to 24.1 mW from a 1.2V supply voltage for each different cut-off frequency.
A 0.18-μm CMOS Baseband Circuits for the IEEE 802.15.4g MR-OFDM SUN Standard

This paper has proposed a multi-channel and wide gain-range baseband circuit blocks for the IEEE 802.15.4g MR-OFDM SUN systems. The proposed baseband circuit blocks consist of two negative-feedback VGAs, an active-RC 5th-order chebyshev low-pass-filter, and a DC-offset cancellation circuit. The proposed baseband circuit blocks provide 1 dB cut-off frequencies of 100 kHz, 200 kHz, 400 kHz, and 600 kHz respectively, and achieve a wide gain-range of +7 dB~+84 dB with 1 dB step. In addition, a DC-offset cancellation circuit has been adopted to mitigate DC-offset problems in direct-conversion receiver. Simulation results show a maximum input differential voltage of
and noise figure of 42 dB and 37.6 dB at 5 kHz and 500 kHz, respectively. The proposed I-and Q-path baseband circuits have been implemented in
CMOS technology and consume 17 mW from a 1.8 V supply voltage.
Design of Filter to remove motion artifacts of PPG signal using Amplitude Modulation of Optical Power and Independent Components Analysis

Recently, u-healthcare device is developed and commercialized for healthcare management and emergency medical. The kinds of the measurable biomedical signals on the device are electrocardiogram, skin temperature, pulse oxygen, heart rate, respiration, etc. Specially, the photoplethysmograph(PPG) signal of these signals is the important signal in measuring oxygen, heart rate and peripheral vascular compliance. The accuracy of PPG signal reduce from influence of the motion artifacts that generated from the movements of user or patient. Therefore, this study suggests a new method to remove the motion artifact that is using optical power modulation and ICA(Independent Component Analysis). For analyzing the proposed method, we used variety of noises made by artificially. In the results of experiments, the proposed method showed good performances than an adaptive filter.

Efficient QRS Detection and PVC(Premature Ventricular Contraction) Classification based on Profiling Method

QRS detection of ECG is the most popular and easy way to detect cardiac-disease. But it is difficult to analyze the ECG signal because of various noise types. Also in the healthcare system that must continuously monitor people`s situation, it is necessary to process ECG signal in realtime. In other words, the design of algorithm that exactly detects QRS wave using minimal computation and classifies PVC by analyzing the persons`s physical condition and/or environment is needed. Thus, efficient QRS detection and PVC classification based on profiling method is presented in this paper. For this purpose, we detected QRS through the preprocessing method using morphological filter, adaptive threshold, and window. Also, we applied profiling method to classify each patient`s normal cardiac behavior through hash function. The performance of R wave detection, normal beat and PVC classification is evaluated by using MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The achieved scores indicate the average of 99.77% in R wave detection and the rate of 0.65% in normal beat classification error and 93.29% in PVC classification.
Nonlinear 3D Correlator Based on Pixel Restoration for Enhanced Objects Recognition

In this paper, we propose a performance-enhanced object recognition by using nonlinear 3D correlator based on pixel restoration. In the proposed method, elemental images of the 3D target that are partially occluded by a foreground object are picked up and transformed into sub-images. By using the block-matching algorithm, the occluded target regions of each sub-image are estimated and removed. After that, the missing pixels in each sub-image are reestablished by using the pixel-restoration method. Finally, through the nonlinear cross-correlations between the reconstructed reference and the target plane images, the improved object recognition can be performed. To show the feasibility of the proposed method, some preliminary experiments are carried out and results are presented by comparing the conventional method.
A Study on the Edge Detection using Region Segmentation of the Mask

In general, the boundary portion of the background and objects are the rapidly changing point and an important elements to analyze characteristics of image. Using these boundary parts, information about the position or shape of an object in the image are detected, and many studies have been continued in order to detect it. Existing methods are that implementation of algorithm is comparatively simple and its processing speed is fast, but edge detection characteristics is insufficient because weighted values are applied to all the pixels equally. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed an algorithm using region segmentation of the mask in order to adaptive edge detection according to image, and the results processed by proposed algorithm indicated superior edge detection characteristics in edge area.
A Study on the Spatial Weighted Filter in AWGN Environment

Recently, with the popularization of digital devices, the requirements of image quality is becoming higher and higher. However, the images are frequently corrupted in the image data processing, there are several reasons for this and the noise is considered as the main reason. Therefore, in order to alleviate the influence of AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise) in image, this paper puts forward the spatial weighted filtering algorithm. The algorithm set the weighted value according to the spatial distance, compared with the existing methods. Implementation of PC-based education PLC(Power Line-network Communication) control system using Labview

More than 30% of energy in Korea was spent in lighting part and then the consumption level and
emission will be increase from now. In this like situation, control-system construction for street-lamp of a smart grid-based that it has important meaning. Nowadays as a result, as an trying to utilize using Power-line-network communication modem and application a terminal in industrial fields, in this paper, we are want to implement the Power-line-network communication control system of PC-based. Therefore it will be use varied communication test-equipment and tools through the system. For experimentation, using the MODEM was able to use Planet production of based on the ZIC protocol and then the application program use the LabView. The result is primarily focused on equipments control by the PLC, and that we are able to perform each test with PLC equipment for experiment it.
Design and Implementation of M2M Platform based on PWW

Machine to machine (M2M) communication is a converged ICT(Information and Communications Technology) platform which can utilize communications services among people and things anytime, any place in realtime. The M2M platform consists of three components; M2M area networks sensing and generating data of things by various sensors and devices; public networks transporting those data; and M2M applications utilizing the aggregated data. There exist however two practical obstacles to realize the M2M communications in terms of interoperability between the WCDMA-based public network and the local networks based on W-Fi or ZigBee; one is the cost problem required to access the public network, and the other is the lack of a cost-effective modem or gateway to connect two different networks. In this paper, we proposed and implemented a novel M2M platform based on PWW (Person Area Network) which can resolve those two issues by using a proposed gateway connecting the local network and smartphones as application devices without access the WCDMA-based public network. We have shown that the proposed platform is very practical to adopt to the real environment by actual testing with the own developed smartphone applications.
A Study on the Development of Active Fast RFID tag Detection and Collision Prevention System

This paper proposed a new transponder detection method to reduce tag recognition time and simplify anti-collision process in RFID systems. In conventional systems, a transponder in detectable area is passively recognized by responding to a reader command. In addition, if there are multiple tags in the area, a collision between tags occurs by responding at the same time to a command and anti-collision process begins. In the proposed method, tags are actively recognized without any command from a reader which results to reducing a tag recognition time and simplifying anti-collision process. To compare transponder recognition time, the process of transponder recognition in conventional systems is analysed. A circuit to detect transponder directly is developed and antenna voltage variation of a reader in the appearance of multiple transponders is analysed for the implementation of the proposed method.
EEPB-MAC: Energy Efficient & Priority-Based MAC Protocol for Energy Harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks

Medium access control (MAC) protocols for wireless sensor networks make sensor nodes on state for energy-efficiency only when necessary. In this paper we present an energy efficient priority-based MAC protocol for energy-harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). For support priority-based packet transmission the proposed EEPB-MAC protocol uses the modified IEEE 802.15.4 beacon frames including priority bit, sender node address, and NAV value fields. A receiver node periodically wakes up, receives sender beacon frames, selects data sending sender, and broadcasts a beacon frame containing the selected sender`s address. A receiver node selects sender node according to sender`s data priority. A receiver nodes also adjust wake up period based on their energy states. Hence, the energy consumption of receiver node can be minimized. Through simulations and analytical analysis, we evaluate the performance of our proposed the EEPB-MAC protocol and compare it against the previous MACs. Results have shown that our protocol outperforms other MAC in terms of energy consumption, higher priority packet delivery delay.

Recently, researches on augmented reality(AR) are actively being conducted, and on addition of AR in social network system has become a necessity. In this paper, we propose GPS-based AR system for social network. This proposed system adds the recent check-in coordinates by automatically synchronizing a friend list in facebook and represents those added location coordinates in a real-world environment by using AR.
