Time Domain Analysis of Dispersion Characteristics of Pulse for MMIC Design

In this paper, when the pulses propagate on a uniform microstrip line, the distortion of pulse signal caused by dispersion is investigated in time domain. We analyzed dispersion characteristics according to dielectric constant and structure of transmission line, and compared propagating characteristics for square and gaussian pulse according to pulse width, pulse amplitude, and propagation velocity. The results of this paper are compatible to the trade-off determination of relative permittivity, substrate height, strip width and pulse width of signal pulse when a design of MIC and MMIC is necessary.

Digital shipbuilding is a technology to reduce the total cost and lead time inevitably made by reschedule and rework in a shipyard. Strategic planning should be undertaken in order to have an effect on the applicable field. We aim at planning a strategy of digital shipbuilding technology by analysis of production planning workflow in this paper. In the basis of BPR methodology, the as-is business process is analyzed to build an workflow model, and derive the bottleneck business process. We dig into the inside details of the process to illustrate an diagram of the core improvement opportunities, and perform process simulation not only to create the application scenarios but also to expect the main effects. The application strategy will make a basic sketch to save both the production cost and time for high quality products in the shipyards.
A Generalized Subspace Approach for Enhancing Speech Corrupted by Colored Noise Using Voice Activity Detector(VAD)

In this paper, we proposed the modified YL(Yi and Loizou) algorithm, using a VAD(voice activity detector) for enhancing speech corrupted by colored noise. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been compared to the YL algorithm and LS(Lee and Son, etc.) algorithm by computer simulation. The colored noises used in the experiment were a car noise and multi-talker babble from the AURORA data base and the used voices from the TIMIT data base. It is confirmed that the proposed algorithm shows better performance from SNR(signal to noise ratio) and SSD(speech spectral distortion) viewpoint over the previous two approach.
Underwater Moving Target Simulation by Transmission Line Matrix Modeling Approach

We do research on the simulation of Doppler effect from a target's moving under the sea by Transmission Line Matrix modeling which is one of numerical methods on time domain. To implement the effect, the input signal was entered at a moving node according to a moving target's moving speed. The result had maximum 2.47% error compared with the theoretical value. And from simulation results with speed control of a moving target, we could also obtain resonable results within 0.63% error range.
Sparse Signal Recovery with Parallel Orthogonal Matching Pursuit and Its Performances

In this paper, parallel orthogonal matching pursuit (POMP) is proposed to supplement the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) which has been widely used as a greedy algorithm for sparse signal recovery. The process of POMP is simple but effective: (1) multiple indexes maximally correlated with the observation vector are chosen at the firest iteration, (2) the conventional OMP process is carried out in parallel for each selected index, (3) the index set which yields the minimum residual is selected for reconstructing the original sparse signal. Empirical simulations show that POMP outperforms than the existing sparse signal recovery algorithms in terms of exact recovery ratio (ERR) for sparse pattern and mean-squared error (MSE) between the estimated signal and the original signal.
A Study on Spectrum Moment Estimation in an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler

The current velocity and turbulence information in each range cell can be obtained from the first and second Doppler spectrum moment estimates. However, the very widely used correlation method often called as the pulse-pair method has the inherent restrictions under the highly turbulent conditions since it does not satisfy the assumptions that the return Doppler spectrum should be symmetric and have a single peak value. Therefore, in this paper, the quality of pulse-pair estimates were compared with that of FFT estimates for problem analysis using various shapes of simulated Doppler spectra. It can be known that the pulse-pair method often yields meaningless results if the received signals are severely biased or multi-peak Doppler spectra in the Doppler frequency domain.

Outage Performance Analysis of Partial Relay Selection Based Opportunistic Cooperation in Decode-and-Forward Relaying Systems

In this paper, we study the opportunistic cooperation scheme that improves the outage performance through the efficient selection between a cooperative mode and a non-cooperative mode. Especially, in decode-and-forward relaying systems, we analyze the outage performance for the opportunistic cooperation using partial relay selection, where closed-form expressions of exact and asymptotic outage probabilities are derived assuming independent and identically distributed Rayleigh fading channels. In the numerical results, we verify the derived expressions, and investigate the outage performances for various target data rates and different numbers of relays. Also, we compare the outage performances of the conventional cooperation scheme and the opportunistic cooperation scheme.
Performance Evaluation of a New Helper Node Selection Scheme for Cooperative Communications

In this paper, we carried out a study on how to find an appropriate helper node for cooperative communications, the role of which is very import to enhance system throughput of wireless communication system. The busy tone cooperative MAC (BT-COMAC) protocol proposed in this paper is a new cooperative MAC protocol with a reactive helper node scheme and maximizes the benefits of existing schemes while making up for their shortcomings. We conducted performance evaluation of this new protocol using computer simulation experiment. System throughput in bps and channel access delay are utilized as performance measures. We used a random way point mobility model where every communication node moves independently one another, and slow fading channel where every communication node decided its transmission rate with received power basis. Numerical results show that the new MAC protocol enhances system throughput as much as 15% of the existing scheme.

Heterogeneous field sensor network between sensor to sensor is designed the CAN method to bus type structure in most using at industry. This Network is supporting a distance vector routing protocol on a characteristic structural a bus type. Also This network support to convert as making separate routing table in heterogeneous network. However distance vector routing protocol make a problem of decrease efficiency because of restriction of network expandability and low transmission process. We propose new CAN routing protocol to support network expandability and high transmission process of industry network. New CAN routing protocol structure addition priority and optional function field based on RIPv2. We established heterogeneous field sensor network, we measure data Throughput(bits/sec) for confirm new CAN routing protocol to increase efficient in industry.
Design and Implementation of a Node Power Scheduler in Virtual Computing Lab Environment

The existing PC-based desktop environment is being changed to a server-based virtual desktop environment due to various advantages such as security, mobility, and upgrade cost reduction. In this paper, a virtual computing lab service system which is applicable to the existing computer lab is designed and implemented using both an open source-based cloud computing platform and hypervisor. In addition, a node power scheduler is proposed in order to reduce power consumption in a server farm. The experimental results show that the power scheduler reduces power consumption considerably over the server farm without the power scheduler.

With the increase in smartphone users, attacks targeting smartphone malware, zombie smartphone, such as smart phones is increasing. Security of smart phones is more vulnerable than PC security, for a zombie smartphone and generates a serious problem than the zombie PC attack on the smartphone every day is diversification. In this paper, the comparative analysis of malicious code and smartphone DDoS attacks and DDoS attacks from the PC, When using a service by connecting to the data network, proposes a method for users to confirm the packet smartphone direct a method for detecting by using the PC malware Smart PC Phone. Propose the measures of malicious code and smartphone DDoS attacks.
Research on Service-Level Integration of ETSI M2M Platform with Heterogeneous Web Applications based on WSDL 2.0

ETSI M2M Platforms provide general infra services for machine-to-machine communication. In this paper, we propose a service-level integration methodology which can integrate a ETSI M2M platform with heterogeneous web applications based on WSDL 2.0. Considered heterogeneous web applications are the ones that use SOAP, HTTP and CoAP protocols for inter-communication. The proposed WSDL 2.0-based service-level integration methodology includes the followings; (1) We present a method of how to describe standardized M2M platform service interfaces into a WSDL 2.0 document. (2) A proposed web client generator is used to generates SOAP, HTTP and CoAP client codes from the WDSL 2.0 document. (3) We propose protocol conversion proxies which translate protocols into other protocols in web service run-time.
A Streaming XML Parser Supporting Adaptive Parallel Search

An XML is widely used for web services, such as SOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST (Representational State Transfer), and also de facto standard for representing data. Since the XML parser using DOM(Document Object Model) requires a preprocessing task creating a DOM-tree, and then storing it into memory, embedded systems with limited resources typically employ a streaming XML parser without preprocessing. In this paper, we propose a new architecture for the streaming XML parser using an APSearch(Adaptive Parallel Search) on FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). Compared to other approaches, the proposed APSearch parser dramatically reduces overhead on the software side and achieves about 2.55 and 2.96 times improvement in the time needed for an XML parsing. Therefore, our APSearch parser is suitable for systems to speed up XML parsing.

In this paper, we improve the quantum cryptography system using a dual photon transmission plaintext user password algorithmwas designed to implementthe exchange. Existing quantum cryptographic key transport protocols, algorithms, mainly as a quantum cryptography system using the paper, but it improved the way the dual photon transmission through the quantum algorithm re not getting transmitted plaintext.

The social network services are grown rapidly through dissemination of smart devices. Therefore, increasing the data exponentially because many people use web services. Using these big data, it will be needed study of providing customized knowledge. So in this paper, we had collected data of 40 people for implementation of knowledge service using big data during one month. Based on these data, we had inferred information of location and moving type, and evaluated accuracy. Through that we had studied personal experience knowledge evaluation model for knowledge service.
Electrical and Optical Properties of ITZO Thin Films Deposited by RF Magnetron Sputtering

The general bus system architecture consists of masters, slaves, arbiter, decoder and so on in shared bus. As several masters can't use a bus concurrently, arbiter plays an role in bus arbitration. In compliance with the selection of arbitration method, The efficiency of bus usage can be determined. Fixed Priority, Round-Robin, TDMA, Lottery arbitration are studied in conventional arbitration method. In this paper, we draw the performance analysis of Fixed Priority, Round Robin, TDMA and Lottery bus arbitration policies due to the data traffic concentration and propose the methods of performance improvement.
Electrical properties of nanoscale junctionless p-channel MuGFET at cryogenic temperature

In this paper, the electrical properties of nanoscale junctionless p-channel MuGFET at cryogenic temperature have been analyzed experimentally. The experiment was performed using a cryogenic probe station which uses the liquid Helium. It has been observed that the drain current oscillation at low drain voltage and cryogenic temperature was more pronounced in junctionless transistor than in accumulation mode transistor. The reason for more marked oscillation is due to the smaller electrical cross section area of the inversion channel which is formed at the center of silicon film in junctionless transistor. It was also observed that the drain current and maximum transconductance were increased as the measurement temperature increased. This is resulted from the increase of hole mobility and the decrease of the threshold voltage as the measurement temperature increases. The drain current oscillation due to the quantum effects can be occurred up to the room temperature when the device size scales down to the nanometer level.
Hardware Design of Pipelined Special Function Arithmetic Unit for Mobile Graphics Application

To efficiently execute 3D graphic APIs, such as OpenGL and Direct3D, special purpose arithmetic unit(SFU) which supports floating-point sine, cosine, reciprocal, inverse square root, base-two exponential, and logarithmic operations is designed. The SFU uses second order minimax approximation method and lookup table method to satisfy both error less than 2 ulp(unit in the last place) and high speed operation. The designed circuit has about 2.3-ns delay time under 65nm CMOS standard cell library and consists of about 23,300 gates. Due to its maximum performance of 400 MFLOPS and high accuracy, it can be efficiently applicable to mobile 3D graphics application.
COF Defect Detection and Classification System Based on Reference Image

This paper presents an efficient defect detection and classification system based on reference image for COF (Chip-on-Film) which encounters fatal defects after ultra fine pattern fabrication. These defects include typical ones such as open, mouse bite (near open), hard short and soft short. In order to detect these defects, conventionally it needs visual examination or electric circuits. However, these methods requires huge amount of time and money. In this paper, based on reference image, the proposed system detects fatal defect and efficiently classifies it to one of 4 types. The proposed system includes the preprocessing of the test image, the extraction of ROI, the analysis of local binary pattern and classification. Through simulations with lots of sample images, it is shown that the proposed system is very efficient in reducing huge amount of time and money for detecting the defects of ultra fine pattern COF.
Fast Generation of Intermediate View Image Using GPGPU-Based Disparity Increment Method

Free-view, auto-stereoscopic video service is a next generation broadcasting system which offers a three-dimensional video, images of the various point are needed. This paper proposes a method that parallelizes the algorithm for arbitrary intermediate view-point image fast generation and make it faster using General Propose Graphic Processing Unit(GPGPU) with help of the Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA). It uses a parallelized stereo-matching method between the leftmost and the rightmost depth images to obtain disparity information and It use data calculated disparity increment per depth value. The disparity increment is used to find the location in the intermediate view-point image for each depth in the given images. Then, It is eliminate to disocclusions complement each other and remaining holes are filled image using hole-filling method and to get the final intermediate view-point image. The proposed method was implemented and applied to several test sequences. The results revealed that the quality of the generated intermediate view-point image corresponds to 30.47dB of PSNR in average and it takes about 38 frames per second to generate a Full HD intermediate view-point image.
Motion-Based Background Image Extraction for Traffic Environment Analysis

This paper proposes a background image extraction algorithm for traffic environment analysis in a school zone. The proposed algorithm solves the problems by level changes and stationary objects to be occurred frequently in traffic environment. For the former, it renews rapidly the background image toward the current frame using a fast Sima-Delta algorithm and for the latter, it excludes the stationary objects from the background image by detecting dynamic regions using a just previous frame and a background image averaged for a long time. The results of experiments show that the proposed algorithm adapts quickly itself to level change well, and reduces about 40~80% of SAD in background region in comparison with the conventional algorithms.
Location Error Compensation in indoor environment by using MST-based Topology Control

Many localization algorithms have been proposed for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The IEEE 802.15.4a-based location-aware-system can provide precise ranging distance between two mobile nodes. The mobile nodes can obtain their exact locations by using accurate ranging distances. However, the indoor environments contain various obstacles which cause non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions. In NLOS condition, the IEEE 802.15.4a-based location-aware system has a large scale location error. To solve the problem, we propose location error compensation in indoor environment by using MST-based topology control. Experimental and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves location accuracy in NLOS conditions.
Online Deadline Scheduling of Equal Length Jobs with More Machines

In this paper, we consider the online scheduling problem of jobs with deadlines. The jobs arrive over time and the scheduling algorithm has no information about the arriving jobs in advance. The jobs have the processing time of the equal length and the goal of the scheduling algorithm is to maximize the number of jobs completed in their deadlines. The performance of the online algorithm is compared with that of the optimal algorithm which has the full information about all the jobs. The raio of the two performances is called the competitive ratio. In general, the ratio is unbouned. So the case that the online algorithm can have more resources than the optimal algorithm is considered, which is called the resource augmentation analysis. In this paper, the online algorithm have more machines. We show that the online algorithm can have the same performance as the optimal algorithm.

Arrhythmia Classification based on Binary Coding using QRS Feature Variability

Previous works for detecting arrhythmia have mostly used nonlinear method such as artificial neural network, fuzzy theory, support vector machine to increase classification accuracy. Most methods require accurate detection of P-QRS-T point, higher computational cost and larger processing time. But it is difficult to detect the P and T wave signal because of person's individual difference. Therefore it is necessary to design efficient algorithm that classifies different arrhythmia in realtime and decreases computational cost by extrating minimal feature. In this paper, we propose arrhythmia detection based on binary coding using QRS feature varibility. For this purpose, we detected R wave, RR interval, QRS width from noise-free ECG signal through the preprocessing method. Also, we classified arrhythmia in realtime by converting threshold variability of feature to binary code. PVC, PAC, Normal, BBB, Paced beat classification is evaluated by using 39 record of MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. Correlation Analysis of Between Paranasal Sinuses and Formant Frequency According to External Stimulation

Paranasal sinuses of the empty space is filled with air that exists in the bones in the face. However, the pus becomes inflamed paranasal sinuses sinusitis onset brings the voice of change, and complained of headaches and lethargy. Therefore, in this paper, paranasal sinuses related diseases to predict voice analysis parameter as measured by changes in paranasal sinuses through external stimuli is investigated and carried out a study to analysis the function consisting of the frontal sinus, ethmoid sinus, maxillary sinus, sphenoid sinus. From this, cold pack stimulation in the paranasal sinus area for stimulation before and after voice was performed by measuring formant frequency and external stimuli through correlation analysis of the mutual impact on paranasal sinuses were analyzed.

Recently our lives have become more convenient as a development of smart phones. For this reason, smart phone users have increased rapidly as well. However existing built-in functions in smart phone are not fully supported variety of currently released applications. So Appcessories that combines mobile handsets and accessories is attracting the notice of smart phone users. In this paper, we design and implement remote control Appcessories using Bluetooth communication. Also we verify a robustness of mobile terminals and system hardware and convenience of using applications by applying it to the infant car system.
Narrowband Modulation Response Enhancement Using a Dual-Electrode Distributed Feedback Laser Integrated With an Electro-Absorption Modulator

We present the enhancement of narrowband modulation response of an optical source by integrating a dual-electrode distributed feedback (DFB) laser with an electro-absorption modulator (EAM). The dual-electrode DFB laser exhibits a multiple optical modes owing to a self-pulsation in GHz range. By modulating the laser and modulator sections of the integrated device simultaneously, 20-dB of narrowband modulation response enhancement at 6 GHz with 7-GHz tuning range has been observed.
