The study on fairness issues in mobile telecommunication service charges

Telecommunication costs have been increasing successively in Korean households. Even though there are a lot of issues related to the high charges of mobile telecommunication services, plausible solutions have not been provided yet. 99% of Koreans use mobile phones and it is the highest in the world, but charges are relatively high. This situation may be brought by the government policy that supports `three companies system.` Even the least efficient company might sustain by a tacit bottom price policy and the government did not introduce MVNO into the market. The government can make mobile phone charge system consider cost only in a proper manner and constrain marketing costs to the rational level. And it can reduce mobile charges and rights of consumers must be respected by restraining too much complicated rates system. Fairness of mobile phone charges could be achieved by mobile phone market structure improvement through active introduction of MVNOs and reduction of excessive marketing costs. If proper market structure and policy management are secured, 30% cut of charges could be achieved. And mobile service bills may be made more acceptable if charge is based on a measured rate system according to the amount of data usage.
ELINT Intra-pulse Modulation Recognition using Fuzzy Algorithm

The ELINT system which derives intelligence from electromagnetic radiations plays an important role in modern electric warfares. Among radar characteristics inferred from the signals, intra-pulse modulation scheme is a useful feature to identify modern radars. This paper proposes the method to classify intra-pulse modulation schemes such as UM, PSK, BFSK, QFSK, LFM and NLFM based on the fuzzy algorithm. The proposed method defines fuzzy membership functions to characterize input signals, and then it calculates accordance rates for each modulation scheme with fuzzy inference rules. The experimental results show that the probability of correct recognition is more than 95% for SNR > 10dB.
Compact Broadband Monopole Antenna for Digital TV Reception

In this paper, a design method for a compact broadband planar monopole antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is studied. The proposed broadband monopole is optimized for terrestrial digital television (DTV) reception. In order to achieve broadband characteristics, the monopole and ground conductor are gradually tapered. By loading slit pairs on both monopole and ground plane, the proposed antenna is miniaturized. Design of Extremely Wideband Printed Semi-circular-shaped Dipole Antenna

In this paper, a design method for a ultra-wideband printed semi-circular-shaped dipole antenna operating in the band of 1-15 GHz is studied. The effects of the gap between the two arms of the semi-circular-shaped dipole and the radius of the semi-circle on the input reflection coefficient and gain characteristics are examined to obtain the optimal design parameters. The optimized printed semi-circular-shaped dipole antenna is fabricated on an FR4 substrate and the experimental results show that the antenna has a desired extremely wideband characteristic with a frequency band of 1-15 GHz (175%) for a VSWR < 2.
Automatic Modulation Recognition Algorithm Based on Cyclic Moment and New Modified Cumulant for Analog and Digital Modulated Signals

In this paper, we propose an automatic modulation recognition algorithm based on cyclic moment and new modified cumulant for analog and digital modulation signals. It is noteworthy that each modulated signal has different cycle frequency characteristics according to its order of cyclic moment. By means of this characteristics as classification features, various modulated signals can be efficiently classified. Also, to identify modulated signals having the same cycle frequency characteristics, we take advantage of the additional classification factors such as variations of envelope and phase as well as modified cumulant. The proposed algorithm was evaluated by considering the number of symbols, SNR, and frequency offset. In the simulation condition where the number of gathered symbols was about 819, and SNR and frequency offset were above 10dB and below 25%, respectively, the average accuracy of the proposed algorithm was more than 95%.

In this paper, we propose a novel analysis and design methodology based on complex network theory for wireless large-scale ad hoc networks. We also enhance the conventional analysis methods which does not sufficiently consider the effect of the wireless communication channels and extend the existing random graph theory by reflecting the wireless communication environments. As a main result, the effect of the network topology such as average degree of each communication node on the network capacity through extensive computer simulations.
Performance of LDPC Decoder of HSS based on Non-Uniform Quantization

In this paper, we presented non-uniform quantization method for LDPC decoder specified in DVB-S2 standard. There are some problems in order to implement LDPC decoder in aspect to algorithm and implementation. In algorithm aspect, because of large number of iterations, LDPC decoding in general give rise to a large number of computation operations, mass power consumption, and decoding delay. Therefore, this paper studies Horizontal Shuffle Scheduling (HSS) algorithm which reduced iteration number without performance loss. In aspect of implementation, there are some solutions to improve the decoding speed, however this paper focused on non-uniform quantization which reduce the quantization bits of LDPC decoder. In simulation results, Decoding throughput of HSS LDPC decoder based on non-uniform quantization is 816Mbps and it improved 12% compared to conventional one.
Performance of Dynamic Spectrum Access Scheme Using Embedded Markov Chain

In this paper, we consider two dynamic spectrum access schemes in cognitive network with two independent and identically distributed channels. Under the first scheme, secondary users switch channel only after transmission failure. On the other hand, under the second one, they switch channel only after successful transmission. We develop a mathematical model to investigate the performance of the second one and analyze the model using 3-dimensional embedded Markov chain. Numerical results and simulations are presented to compare between the two schemes.

In this paper, we proposed high speed LDPC decoding algorithm based on DVB-S2 standard. For implementing the high speed LDPC decoder, HSS algorithm which reduce the iteration numbers without performance degradation is applied. In HSS algorithm, check node update units are update at the same time of bit node update. HSS can be accelerated to the decoding speed because it does not need to separate calculation of the bit nodes, However, check node calculation blocks need many clocks because of just one memory is used. Therefore, this paper proposed dc-split memory structure in order to reduced the delay and high speed decoder is possible. Finally, this paper presented maximum split memory and throughput for various coding rates in DVB-S2 standard.

Due to the development of the digital technology, the territories of broadcasting and telecommunications are being converged and there have been the efforts to eliminate the spatial and/or temporal restrictions in utilizing the services (usually implemented as applications) via various devices (e.g. smart-phone, smart TV, pad-computer, etc). In the circumstances, Web is coming to the fore as a common running platform of the services and the digital broadcasting receivers are pressed to run Web applications as well as Java applications, which are the standard of data service of the digital broadcasting. The paper introduces a platform for running HTML5-based Web applications, which is equipped with a Web kernel (an engine for running HTML5 Web applications), a Web desktop (the facilities (with an UI similar to Window OS) for managing Web applications), and SDK (a set of API`s for Web application developers).

Digital evidence which is the new form of evidence to crime makes little difference in value and function with existing evidences. As time goes on, digital evidence will be the important part of the collection and the admissibility of evidence. Usually a digital forensic investigator has to spend a lot of time in order to find clues related to the investigation among the huge amount of data extracted from one or more potential containers of evidence such as computer systems, storage media and devices. Therefore, these evidences need to be ranked and prioritized based on the importance of potential relevant evidence to decrease the investigate time. In this paper we propose a methodology which prioritizes order in which evidences are to be examined in order to help in selecting the right evidence for investigation. The proposed scheme is based on Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making, in which uncertain parameters such as evidence investigation duration, value of evidence and relation between evidence, and relation between the case and time are used in the decision process using the aggregation function in fuzzy set theory.
Key Management Framework based on Double Hash Chain for Secure Smart Grid Environments

Smart Grid is the next-generation intelligent power grid that maximizes energy efficiency with the convergence of IT technologies and the existing power grid. It enables consumers to check power rates in real time for active power consumption. It also enables suppliers to measure their expected power generation load, which stabilizes the operation of the power system. However, there are high possibility that various kinds of security threats such as data exposure, data theft, and privacy invasion may occur in interactive communication with intelligent devices. Therefore, to establish a secure environment for responding to such security threat with the smart grid, the key management technique, which is the core of the development of a security mechanism, is required. Using a hash chain, this paper suggests a group key management mechanism that is efficiently applicable to the smart grid environment with its hierarchical structure, and analyzes the security and efficiency of the suggested group key management framework.
Delay based Authentication Model for Flooding of Service Tolerance of Rehabilitation Psychology Analysis System

Today`s rapidly changing society can lead to maladaptive behaviors. In the situations, rehabilitation psychology analysis using the on-line test be needed to solve the problem. However, Internet-based rehabilitation psychology analysis by a malicious attacker may still be vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks. The service flooding attacks render the server incapable of providing its service to legitimate clients. Therefore the importance of implementing systems that prevent denial of service attacks and provide service to legitimate users cannot be overemphasized. In this paper, we propose a puzzle protocol which applies to authentication model. our gradually strengthening authentication model improves the availability and continuity of services and prevent denial of service attacks and we implement flooding of service tolerance system to verify the efficiency of our model. This system is expected to be ensure in the promotion of reliability.

As rehabilitation psychology analysis system which manages examination information becoming more popular, interoperability, portability and security are becoming major concerns of modern computing. We propose a security model on the type information based access control system for rehabilitation psychology analysis that can enhance both security and availability by separating the functions delivered from object-oriented databases to solve these problems. We apply the access control model specifically to enhancement of security system and also perform a test to verify the security and availability of our model.
A Study on the Partition Operating Circuit Design based on Directed Graph

This paper present a method of efficiency circuit design based on directed graph which was represented by tree structure relationship between input and output of nodes. In this paper, we introduce the concept of mathematical analysis based on tree structure which was designed by optimal localized computable circuit. Using the proposed circuit design algorithms in this paper, it is possible to design circuit which directed tree graph have any node number. The proposed method is more effective, regularity and extensibility than former method.

Scientific and technological research data is increasing exponentially and, Kisti(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information) built and supported GSDC(Global Science experimental Data hub Center) depending on the needs processing large data computing and storage devices. Mobile web standards-based the MUPS was built for global community and services of gsdc to spreading mobile devices rapidly. And for analyze Operational status and system resources of GSDC at n this paper researched and implemented system resource monitor method of gsdc to mobile web environment, in this paper researched and implemented system resource monitor method of gsdc to mobile web environment. Research support system of GSDC operated by scientific linux. Sysstat resource monitoring tools create a daily report through sar(system analysis report), after sadc(system activity data collector) collected system resource utilization information. In this paper, sar reports designed and implemented in mobile web to can visualize in a mobile environment. We do not depend specific OS by implementation of the mobile web. So we are available in variety mobile OS. And through provided visual graph, this system can monitor easily and more conveniently then the existing system.
Implementation of Web-based Performance Monitoring System for E-Mail Server

In this paper we implemented a web-based performance monitoring system for web mail server. For this system we derived performance monitoring items and fixed its threshold values for each measuring items. We used the SCOM 2007 server monitoring tool for collecting the performance data of web mail server and Exchange server management pack and server monitoring rules of SCOM 2007 to set the performance analysis parameters. We implemented this performance monitoring system using C# programming based on the ASP.NET framework. This system supports web-based performance report, failure report and resource availability report from the performance analysis results. Therefore the manager can easily detect the failures of web mail server in advance and decrease the number of failure over 60%. Also this system helps manager to minimize the recovery time when the failure occurs.

As a smart mobile device is gaining popularity as a tool to utilize internet services, the demand on the cloud service (which eliminates the spatial and/or temporal restrictions in enjoying the services) is increasing. This trend also has an effect on the style of performing business tasks so that the concept of `smart-work` (e.g. doing business tasks in anywhere and anytime) is being spread over the industries. The facilities for the smart-work is, however, focused on providing the tools designed to supporting business tasks such as co-working in writing documents, video conference, searching data via smart (mobile) devices neglecting the industries` needs for the infrastructure by which they can create their own business applications and mobile cloud services at a low (or moderate) price. The paper proposes a mobile cloud service platform, which provides an SDK for developing business applications and offers the applications to smart mobile devices as a PaaS (Platform as a Service).

This paper compares radix-2 based structures for 32768-point FFT. Radix-
structures have been widely used because the butterfly is simple and the number of multipliers can be reduced in those structures. This paper applied various radix-
structures to 32768-point FFT that is representing ultra-long FFT. The ultra-long FFT has been studied much recently. This paper shows that the radix-

Analysis of Characteristic of Graphene Thin Film Transistor and Properties of Graphene using Copper Substrate

Graphene thin film was prepared on the copper foils by chemical deposition, and the characteristic of graphene depending on

Steep subthreshold slope at elevated temperature in junctionless and inversion-mode MuGFET

In this paper, the variation of a steep subthreshold slope at elevated temperature in nanowire n-channel junctionless and inversion mode MuGFETs has been compared. It has been observed that the subthreshold slopes are increased with the increase of the operation temperature in junctionless and inversio-mode transistors. The variation of a subthreshold slope with operation temperature is more significant in junctionless transistor than inversion-mode transistor. The temperature dependence on the variation of a subthreshold slope for different fin widths shows a similar behavior regardless of fin width. From the temperature dependence on the variation of a subthreshold slope for different substrate biases, it has been observed that the variation of a subthreshold slope is less significant when the substrate bias was applied. It is worth noting that one can achieve a subthreshold slope of below 41mV/dec at elevated temperature of 400K using the junctionless MuGFETs with a positive substrate bias.

This paper has analyzed the possibility about implementation of the low-cost, high-efficiency tracking antenna using flat panel antenna. Tracking antenna is consisted of four flat-antenna, comparators, tracking receiver, controller. We analyzed input signal of antenna array about the magnitude and phase of radio wave. In addition, We suggested the available tracking range through the analysis of output signal. We have minimized the error rate that happened on two path through design two path of the azimuth and elevation. Analysis results has a tracking range of
degrees, it is possible to implement.
Implementation of Paper Cutting Defect Detection System Based on Local Binary Pattern Analysis

Paper manufacturing industries have huge facilities with automatic equipments. Especially, in order to improve the efficiency of the paper manufacturing processes, it is necessary to detect the paper cutting defect effectively and to classify the causes correctly. In this paper, we review the problems of web monitoring system and web inspection system that have been traditionally used in industries for defect detection. Then we propose a novel paper cutting defect detection method based on the local binary pattern analysis and its implementation to mitigate the practical problems in industry environment. The proposed algorithm classifies the defects into edge-type and region-type and then it is shown that the proposed system works stably on the real paper cutting defect detection system.
Design and Implement a Smart Automobile Self-Diagnosis System based on The Driving information

In order to drive a vehicle safely, driver needs to check status of the car. Many moderns are having trouble to spare time to visit auto mechanic and have car mechanics to check their car other than their office hours. If the car status cannot be inspected regularly, it is likely to cause a big accident threatening the surroundings as well as driver`s life. Inspection tool and system help driver to check their own vehicle status personally are required for preventing it. In this paper, it designed and realized system that records driving information based on changing data of vehicle (location and automotive internal data) and allows driver can check the vehicle status easily and further, driver can share the driving information with repair shop via the Internet to receive detailed inspection service for car status.

The usability of marine lantern has been improved significantly by using the LED bulb and applying IT technology, However it is hard to fix immediately when the failure occurs, and there would be some additional costs in maintenance. Therefore, alternatives for those problems are required. In this regard, in this paper, we proposed the integrated duel-function LED marine lantern that has main and auxiliary light source at the same time so that it can operate auxiliary light source when the main light source has breakdowns or malfunctions.
Indoor Environment Monitoring System Using Short-range Wireless Communication in Mobile Devices

Recently, people are paying huge attention to problems caused by indoor air pollution. Also, the need for the system that monitors environmental information for indoor and warns a danger is growing increasingly. In this regard, we designed and implemented environment monitoring system for indoor. In this paper, we describe the system with hardware elements and it`s communication method. In order to transfer the data from environment sensors, we use short-range wireless communication in smart phone. The proposed system is possible to know the indoor environment information in installed sensor node. If the risk is found, For the proposed system, there is an advantage that may be appropriate evacuation.

Also, the study analyzed the complexity of the system as well as the reception performance in a visible light wireless channel environment by analyzing detailed technology of PHY I mode and designing the RS code and block interleaver. Container Security Device (ConTracer) which is suggested in this study is to monitor temperature, humidity, and impact inside of the container while the container is transported. ConTracer could also give information to users when a door of the container is opened over 2 inch within 1 second. Additionally, GPS/GLONASS based global position and status information about container are transmitted to a remote server using IoT (Internet of Things) based communication. In this research, we are looking into the development trend of global container security devices; and applying ConTracer to real freight transport from domestic to overseas using Global Roaming Service which is offered for domestic Mobile Communication Companies as well. As a result, we estimate the performance of ConTracer and verify it.

This paper proposes a RFID cell planning scheme for indoor location-awareness. We theoretically develop four objective functions that yield objective goals significant to the optimal design of a RFID cell topology and simulation is conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed RFID cell planning scheme. We also evaluate the performance of the proposed technique after practically installing RFID readers in an indoor space to configure a RFID cell topology. Performance evaluations are conducted in terms of the following objective goals: minimal number of RFID readers for configuring a RFID cell topology, maximal RFID cell coverage areas for indoor location-awareness, minimal overlapping cells, and maximal indoor location-awareness accuracy.
A Study on Modified Mask for Edge Detection in AWGN Environment

In modern society the image processing has been applied to various digital devices such as smartphone, digital camera, and digital TV. In the field of image processing the edge detection is one of the important parts in the image processing procedure. The image edge means point that the pixel value is changed between background and object rapidly, and includes the important information such as magnitude, location, and orientation. The performance of the existing edge detection method is insufficient for the image degraded by AWGN(additive white Gaussian noise) because it detects edges by using small weighted masks. Therefore, in this paper, to detect edge in AWGN environment effectively, we proposed an algorithm that detects edge as calculated gradient of sorting vector which is transformed by estimated mask from new pixel according to each region.
The Classification of Fatty Liver by Ultrasound Imaging using Computerizing Method

We propose a method for the classification of fatty liver by ultrasound imaging using Fuzzy Contrast Enhancement Technique and FCM. ROI images are extracted after removal of information data except ultrasound image of the liver and the kidney then image contrast is improved by Fuzzy Contrast Enhancement Algorithm. The images applied Fuzzy Contrast Enhancement Technique is applied average binarization then ROI images of liver and kidney parenchyma are extracted using Blob algorithm. Representative brightness is extracted in the liver and kidney images using the most frequent brightness level after classification of 10 brightness levels. We applied this method to ultrasound images and a radiologist confirmed the accuracy of diagnosis for fatty liver. This method would be a model for automatic method in the diagnosis of fatty liver.

Smart devices such as smart phone, smart TV, tablet, game consoles embrace all categories of Intelligent Communication Device, which enables intelligent applications to be developed, by up loading Context-aware Computing technology that recognizes and reacts nearby diverse phenomena and composing these information, as well as their basic functions. This paper, after saving pre-registered students` movement course and business places harmful to them into students safety network service system, by using location-based service and searching students` movement, considering the degree of breaking away from their regular course, the access to and their stay in crime-crone area, provides the comparative analysis of the system and suggests the ways for safe students guidance.
Characteristics of System Performance in Optical Transmission Links with the Randomly Distributed RDPS

Optical phase conjugation combining with dispersion management (DM) is promising technique to compensate for signal distortion due to group velocity dispersion (GVD) and nonlinear Kerr effects in optical communication systems. However the fixed residual dispersion per span (RDPS) usually used in the optical links with OPC and DM restricts the flexible link configuration. In this paper, OPC links combining DM of the randomly distributed RDPS is proposed for implementing the flexible optical transmission network. It is confirmed that the excellent compensation in the optical links with the randomly distributed RDPS is obtained, limiting the launch power of WDM channels to the relatively low. It is also confirmed that the relatively high launch power WDM channels are effectively transmitted through the optical links with the randomly distributed RDPS of averaged 50 - 100 ps/nm.
Performance Analysis of Navigation System for Guidance and Control of High Speed Underwater Vehicle System

To obtain the system requirement specification in the beginning of the precision guidance system development, the effectiveness and reliability analysis for the system are necessary. The main purpose of this research is to obtain the system requirement specification for the high speed unmanned underwater vehicles by carrying out the effectiveness analysis using the modeling and simulation scheme. The effectiveness is position error for target position. Reaching accuracy is expected to be affected by the navigation sensor parameter. Assume that the navigation sensors that is consist of inertial navigation system(INS) and doppler velocity log(DVL) is the parameter. To analyze the effectiveness of each parameter, Monte-Carlo numerical simulation is performed in this research. The effectiveness analysis is carried out using circular error probability(CEP) and variance analyze scheme. Considering the cost function, the specification of the navigation sensor is provided. The cost function is consist of the INS and DVL specification and the price of those sensors.
