Internet Network Pricing under the Change of Internet Traffic Patterns

The characteristics of internet traffic was dramatically changed recently. Especially, the ratio of video traffic in internet network is highly increased. Because the video traffic changes the traditional interactive traffic transport into one way contents delivery, internet network pricing structure is not efficient to reflect this changes. The fundamental reason for these is the discontinuity between the cost and revenue of the internet traffic. Although the internet traffic is forecasted to grow highly, the revenue of network provider is not expected to increase as such. The present paper investigates various alternatives to improve the present business model and to accommodate traffic growth. Then, the desirable options is proposed to invoke the innovation and to reflect the price signal according to some criteria.

As ICT Ecosystem does, electronic government changes in its form. Accordingly, in order to realize Smarter m-Gov, the governments need to vitalize m-Gov services and enact technology policy. Therefor, this manuscript suggests possible model of m-Gov realization and security algorithm as a technology policy which applies quantum cryptography system to server security for the construction of secured m-Gov`s infrastructure. What the manuscript suggests seeks administrative ideas of Smarter m-Gov`s services which contain security, stability, and economic feasibility for the benefits of nation and enterprises.

For successful projects, Project Management Information System(PMIS) using the formal systematic processes is necessary. Because the existing PMIS focuses on low-level project management, the life-cycle administration of the projects is required. In this dissertation, I describe not only the processes for managing a project with the top-down approach(a hierarchical goal setting of the project outcome), but also PMIS which can control whole processes of R&D projects. The PMIS described in this dissertation can reduce the workload of project management by providing user-adaptive environments and linking with related systems, so can be helpful to enhance the efficiency of the project management. And, it is expected that these processes can be the standard project management processes which are adaptive to various types of projects.

Korean grammar checkers typically detect context-dependent errors by employing heuristic rules; these rules are formulated by language experts and consisted of lexical items. Such grammar checkers, unfortunately, show low recall which is detection ratio of errors in the document. In order to resolve this shortcoming, a new error-decision rule-generalization method that utilizes the existing KorLex thesaurus, the Korean version of Princeton WordNet, is proposed. The method extracts noun classes from KorLex and generalizes error-decision rules from them using the Tree Cut Model and information-theory-based MDL (minimum description length).
Study on coexistence through interference evaluation between 2.1GHz band and adjacent band for LTE-Advanced service

Currently, the three major Korean mobile operators hold a total of 390MHz of bandwidth, but at the current data traffic increase of almost 6 times per year, more frequency bandwidth should be secured in order to meet the exploding data traffic in the future. It is believed that 2.1GHz frequency band is suitable for mobile communication in the light of frequency characteristics and continuity of the band. In this paper, we perform compliance analysis with the international radio regulation for coexistence with the adjacent region in order to use 2.1GHz band for LTE-Advanced. In addition, we verify that 2.1GHz band can coexist with the adjacent band by conducting an interference evaluation.
Exact Bit Error Rate Analysis of Partial Relay Selection in Dual-Hop Decode-and-Forward Relaying Systems over Rayleigh Fading Channels

The conventional best relay selection based on all the channel information for the first and second hops in dual-hop systems has a large consumption of resources for channel feedback. In this paper, we analyze the average bit error rate for partial relay selection based on the channel information only for the first hop in dual-hop decode-and-forward relaying systems, where we assume independent Rayleigh fading channels. In particular, we provide an exact and closed-form expression for the average bit error rate of M-ary QAM. Also, through numerical investigation, the performance of the partial relay selection is compared with the performance of the best relay selection, and the performance is evaluated for different numbers of relays and various average channel power ratios for the first and second hops.
An Analysis of the Operation of the GPS Location Provider in the Android Platform

Recently Android apps utilizing location based services are widely used. Understanding the operation of the GPS location provider, among various location providers supported in the Android platform, is an essential task for developers using the Android. This paper, based on the analysis of source codes of the GPS subsystem in the Android platform, shows clearly and orderly the operation of the GPS location provider, in key threads` perspectives as well as in a stepwise fashion from the initialization up to the final location report steps.
Throughput Scaling Law of Hybrid Erasure Networks Based on Physical Model

The benefits of infrastructure support are shown by analyzing a throughput scaling law of an erasure network in which multiple relay stations (RSs) are regularly placed. Based on suitably modeling erasure probabilities under the assumed network, we show our achievable network throughput in the hybrid erasure network. More specifically, we use two types of physical models, a exponential decay model and a polynomial decay model. Then, we analyze our achievable throughput using two existing schemes including multi-hop transmissions with and without help of RSs. Our result indicates that for both physical models, the derived throughput scaling law depends on the number of nodes and the number of RSs.

In this paper we researched on the Duplication Techniques for Active-Active Web Servers. Rsync and crontab utilities make copy periodically between web servers and maintain the same status. Load Balancing Server makes web servers load balanced and fast servicing by executing web servers alternatively. Even though one web server stops due to some critical errors, the remaining web server can take over and provide services continuously.
Implementation of Layered Clouds considering Frame Rate and Reality in Real-time Flight Simulation

There are two main technologies to implement cloud effect in flight simulator, cloud modeling using particle system and texture mapping. In former case, this approach may cause a low frame rate while unrealistic cloud effect is observed in latter case. To Solve this problem, in this paper, we propose how to apply fog effect into camera to display more realistic cloud effect with high frame rate. The proposed method is tested with massive terrain database environment through implemented software by using OpenSceneGraph. As a result, compared to texture mapping method, the degree of difference on frame rate is 1 or 2Hz while the cloud effect is significantly improved as realistic as particle system.

This paper suggest an effective idea to implement an low area multi-mode one dimension transform block of HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding). The time consuming multiplier path is designed to operate on low frequency. Normal multipliers dealing with variable operands are replaced with smaller constant multipliers which do the product with constant coefficient and variable only using shifters and adders. This scheme increases total multiplier counts but entire areas are reduced owing to smaller area of constant multiplier. Idle cycles caused by doubled multipliers enable to use multi-cycle paths on the cycle eating multiplier data path. Operating frequency is lowered by multi-cycle path but total throughput is maintained. This structure is implemented with TSMC 0.18 CMOS process library, and operated on 186MHz frequency to process a 4k(
) image. Max operating frequency is 300MHz.

Secret communication has developed from analogue communication to digital one. Secret communication which is based on digital communication has been designed succeeding safety of one-time pad. One-time pad`s safety is attributed to the security of secret key`s mutual storage and mutual synchronization that is the key`s interchange basis is one of the essential factors. This manuscript examines mathematical stability of BB84 algorithm which is one of the quantum cryptography system, and conducts transmission of quantum key. The created key suggests One-time Pad algorithm which interchanges ciphertext implemented AES`s 64th round.

According to the spread of computers and the development of the information society, people are focused on privacy information. As the development of its associated policy and technology, it has been tried various attempts to protect their personal information. In this paper, we proposed anti-screen capture modules to protect personal information or a company`s confidential information for agencies and departments that keeps top security. As a result, we can prevent an illegal use or a stealing of another person`s information in a public agency or personal computer. Also modules can stop exposures of top security data and personal information during they communicate with others in their institution`s sever system.
Real-Time Aperiodic Tasks Scheduling Using Improved Synthetic Utilization on Multiprocessor Systems

Abdelzaher et al. proposed an algorithm to determine the schedulability of aperiodic tasks on multiprocessor systems, and proved that the aperiodic tasks are schedulable if the upperbound of synthetic utilization is less than or equal to 0.59. But this algorithm has a drawback in that if some tasks, even though they are completed and have no more execution times, are included in the current invocation set, their execution times and deadlines are added to the synthetic utilization. This may lead to a problem in which actually schedulable tasks are decided not to be schedulable. In this paper, we recognize the above mentioned problem and propose an improved synthetic utilization method that can be used to schedule aperiodic tasks more efficiently on multiprocessor systems.
The Performance Evaluation of a Space-Division typed Index on the Flash Memory based Storage

The flash memory which is exploited on hand-held devices such as smart phones is a non-volatile storage and has the benefit that it can store mass data at a small sized chip. To process queries on the mass data stored in the flash memory, the index scheme should be exploited. However, since the write operation of the flash memory is slower than the read operation and the overwrite is not supported, it is required to reevaluate the performance of the index and find out the drawbacks. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a space division typed index scheme on the flash memory. To do this, we implement the fixed grid file and measure the average speeds of the query and update processing on a various condition and compare the value of the flash memory with that of the magnetic disk.

Recently the operating system share of linux on embedded system is increasing. The embedded systems on linux environment, commonly equip a file system as mini hard disk or flash memory to keep data. The types of the file system of the system are various according to it`s operating system. Anyway, the more embedded system depends on the file system, the selection of the type of the file system effects more on the performance of the system. This thesis performs the performance benchmark of a FAT and Ext file systems which are most popular in embedded system. As the result, it is discussed that what file system is better at which case. These results will be a index at the selection of flash file system of the embedded systems on linux environment.

Analysis of Subthreshold Current Deviation for Channel Dimension of Double Gate MOSFET

This paper analyzed the change of subthreshold current for channel dimension of double gate(DG) MOSFET. The nano-structured DGMOSFET to reduce the short channel effect had to be preciously analyze. Poisson`s equation had been used to analyze the potential distribution in channel, and Gaussian function had been used as carrier distribution. The subthreshold current had been analyzed for device parameters such as channel dimension, and projected range and standard projected deviation of Gaussian function. Since this potential model was verified in the previous papers, we used this model to analyze the subthreshold current. Resultly, we know the subthreshold current was influenced on parameters of Gaussian function and channel dimension for DGMOSFET.

This paper presents a 10-bit 10-MS/s asynchronous successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) which consists of a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a SAR logic, and a comparator. In this paper, the device design guideline to reduce the threshold voltage variation with fin width in junctionless MuGFET has been suggested. It has been observed that the threshold voltage variation was increased with increase of fin width in junctionless MuGFETs. To reduce the threshold voltage variation with fin width in junctionless MuGFETs, 3-dimensional device simulation with different gate dielectric materials, silicon film thickness, and an optimized fin number has been performed. The simulation results showed that the threshold voltage variation can be reduced by the gate dielectric materials with a high dielectric constant such as
and the silicon film with ultra-thin thickness even though the fin width is increased. Particularly, the reduction of the threshold voltage variation and the subthreshold slope by reducing the fin width and increasing the fin numbers is known the optimized device design guideline in junctionless MuGFETs.
A Descriptor Design for the Video Retrieval Combining the Global Feature of an Image and the Local of a Moving Object

A descriptor which is suitable for motion analysis by using the motion features of moving objects from the real time image sequence is proposed. To segment moving objects from the background, the background learning is performed. We extract motion trajectories of individual objects by using the sequence of the 1st order moment of moving objects. The center points of each object are managed by linked list. The descriptor includes the 1st order coordinates of moving object belong to neighbor of the pre-defined position in grid pattern, The start frame number which a moving object appeared in the scene and the end frame number which it disappeared. A video retrieval by the proposed descriptor combining global and local feature is more effective than conventional methods which adopt a single feature among global and local features.

Quality is the value that can be measured by observing the characteristics of the service quantity or quality. QoS is predictable service traffic to a minimum requirements what passed in network. In the course of Smart Medical Information System Development there exist some functional requirements to satisfy quality objectives. The functional smart domains of healthcare information systems consists of Patient Module, a smart sensing and communication domain, RFID Tag Readers and the behavior domain, Homecare Station Domain, Clinical Station. This study is performed on evaluation methodology of u-health service satisfaction quality of each domain. In this paper QoS metrics and the quality of medical information requirements, functional requirements are separated by. Quality parameters consists of six items and the functional requirements and quality requirements 20 details the five items and consist of 20 detailed items. On this study the quality evaluation methodology of Korean smart health information quality assessment matrix 2 - factor evaluation method is proposed. The overall framework of this paper is organizing the specific criteria of quality of medical information system and modeling quality evaluation process under all smart environment.
Development of real-time reactive emotion image contents player system to induce the user`s emotion

This study presents the real-time emotion image contents player to induce the user`s emotion efficiently. The emotion image contents player was designed to efficiently induce by giving a change in the color, brightness, saturation of image contents corresponded to the user`s emotion. In the emotion recognition module, physiological signal of pulse, skin temperature, skin resistance which based on autonomic nervous system were used. The emotion recognition part used physiological signal of pulse, skin temperature, skin resistance based on autonomic nervous system. The image as emotional contents was used with the 9 kinds emotion area classified in international affective picture system(IAPS). As experimental results, the use`s emotion that match the image`s emotion with the emotion image contents player was derived 10% more accurately. The emotion contents player is expected to increase emotional feeling between users`s emotion and contents emotion duo to the real-time emotion reflection.
Emotion sharing system of RESTful-based using emotion information and location information of the users

In this study, we propose a emotion sharing system that is sharing users emotion change according to the location of the user where users was shared his emotion information and to the emotion. The system consists of a emotion sharing server and mobile smartphone apps. Emotion smartphone app represent status of emotion and location of users who wants to share emotion at map services based the Google Map API. Emotion sharing server was implemented using a RESTful way to allow emotion sharing between different variety platform besides mobile platforms. Emotion information that is exchanged on a emotion sharing server is stored in an XML fromat. We were confirm emotion sharing system that it could be sharing moving emotion change according to the user`s location through map service.

According to explosion of smart-devices, demands on N-screen services based on cooperation of multiple screens are rapidly increasing. These N-screen services can provide new user-experience (UX) to users. That is, it can provide technical advances to users. On the other hand, it causes new security problems. In this paper, we analyze conventional web-security attacks, and we propose and analyze new security requirements for migration, combination, and separation of web-contents based on N-screen service scenarios. Also, we develop N-screen cooperation service framework in order to ensure user security.
SB-MAC : Energy efficient Sink node Based MAC protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we propose an energy efficient sink node based MAC protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The proposed sink node-based MAC (SB-MAC) protocol uses a RB(rapid beacon) frame to save sender`s energy consumption and to reduce transmission delay. The RB frame is a modified IEEE 802.15.4 beacon frame. The RB frame contains the length of the sender nodes data. Using this information other nodes except sender and receiver nodes can be stay sleep mode long time to reduce energy consumption. Results have shown that the SB-MAC protocol outperformed other protocols like X-MAC and RI-MAC in terms of packet delivery delay and energy consumption. The SB-MAC protocol is especially energy efficient for the networks with one sink node and many senders.
A Channel Assignment based on Transmission Distance on Wireless Multi-Channel Sensor Networks

In this paper, we propose a transmission scheme to reduce energy consumption on wireless multi-channel sensor networks. This proposed scheme differentiates the number of usable channels based on a priority. Sensor nodes consume the most energy to transmit data. Also, as transmission distance is far, they consume the more energy. Therefore retransmission due to transmission failure of sensor nodes that are long transmission distance is required more energy consumption. In this paper, we provide a stable transmission environment by allocating a high priority for data that is sent far away. The received data with a high priority is more allocated the number of usable channels. In the experiment results, the receiving failure probability and the restransmission energy consumption of proposed scheme is superior to ones of comparison scheme.

USN heterogeneous wireless sensors embedded in the environment with appropriate security and scalability with user authentication method is proposed intrusion prevention. In this study, the proposed user authentication and secret key cryptography, public key cryptography is used for both, to take advantage of the strengths of the two methods is authentication. In this paper, the proposed scheme the secret key of the existing security than password-based system performance, highly scalable, power demand is less, and the public-key cryptography based on the existing methods, a higher energy efficiency compared to the benefits that the simulation results with shown as.
A Genetic Algorithm for Cooperative Communication in Ad-hoc Networks

This paper proposes a genetic algorithm to maximize the connectivity among the mobile nodes for the cooperative communication in ad-hoc networks. In general, as the movement of the mobile nodes in the networks increases, the amount of calculation for finding the solution would be too much increased. To obtain the optimal solution within a reasonable computation time for a high-density network, we propose a genetic algorithm to obtain the optimal solution for maximizing the connectivity. In order to make a search more efficient, we propose some efficient neighborhood generating operations of the genetic algorithm. We evaluate those performances through some experiments in terms of the maximum number of connections and the execution time of the proposed algorithm. The comparison results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms other existing algorithms.
A Study on Edge Detection Algorithm using Modified Mask in Salt and Pepper Noise Images

The edge in the image is a part which the brightness changes rapidly between the object and the object or objects and background, and includes information of the features such as size, position, orientation, and texture of the object. The edge detection is the technique that acquires these information of the images, and now the researches to detect edges are making steady progress. Typical conventional edge detection methods are Sobel, Prewitt, Roberts using the first derivative operator and Laplacian method using the second derivative operator and so on. These methods is more or less insufficient that the characteristics of the edge detection in the image added salt and pepper noise. therefore, in this paper, an edge detection algorithm using modified mask that applies different size mask according to noise density of local mask is proposed.
Design of Efficient Data Search Function using the Excel VBA DAO

In this paper, I propose an efficient data search system using data partitioning algorithm in Microsoft Excel. I propose searching algorithm to retrieve data quickly using VBA functioning in the Excel. This algorithm is to specify the sheet you are looking for. Once the sheet is specified, the algorithm searches the beginning and the end of the data in the sheet. The algorithm compares intermediate values and key words, from the starting position of the cell. In this way, it will search data to the end. This proposed algorithm was implemented and tested in the Excel system using VBA program. The experimental results showed that the performance was better than that of the conventional sequential search method.
An Analysis of Computerized Implementation of Film Colored Overlays Based on Optical Characteristics and User Preference

The feasibility of a virtual colored overlay is based on constraints of computer and user preference and it is evaluated for people with Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome. We draw
and chromaticities of virtual colored overlay which will be implemented on IT devices by measuring optical characteristics of 2 representative film overlays and simulating them. We analyzed the influence of two illuminating conditions on the virtual colored overlay. We find that it is possible to get the multiple combinations of alpha and source RGB values to match a chromaticity which is presented in CIE-Luv color space under ideal white condition of display, a user can select one among them with respect to clarity and comfort. Under 100 lx difference of illumination conditions, the changes of chromaticities are negligible, but luminances are increased
average(std 2.006) at high illumination condition.
Parameters for Selecting the Shipboard 2D/3D Surveillance Radar

According to advance of radar technology and increase of air threat, 3D surveillance radars are preferred as shipboard equipments to shorten reaction time. In this paper, reaction time against air target was calculated by simulation in each case, 2D and 3D surveillance radar and it was suggested that a few parameters including purpose of warships, performance of shipboard equipments, threat of surrounding countries and budget to select the reasonable type of radar.
