Design and Manufacture of CPW-fed Two Arc-shaped Antenna for WLAN Applications

In this paper, a dual-band arc-shaped monopole antenna for WLAN(Wireless Local Area Networks) applications. The proposed antenna is based on CPW-fed structure, and composed of two-arc shaped of radiating patch and ground plane. To obtain the optimized parameters, we used the simulator, Ansoft's High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and found the parameters that greatly effect antenna characteristics. Using optimal parameters, the antenna is fabricated. The numerical and experiment results demonstrated that the propnosed antenna satisfied the -10 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while simultaneously covering the WLAN bands. And measured results of gain and radiation patterns characteristics displayed determined for opeating bands.
Design of a multi-band antenna for a mobile communication terminal with reconfiguration characteristic

In this paper,a reconfigurable multi-band mobile antenna with switching line for LTE band 13, GSM, K-PCS, WCDMA band. The proposed antenna is planar strip line design and composed of stub shorted to the ground plane and two switching line for proposed band operation. To obtain the optimized parameters, we used the simulator, Using the obtained parameters is fabricated. The numerical and experiment results demonstrated that the proposed antenna satisfied the -6 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while simultaneously covering when the state of sw1 and sw2 on for LTE band 13, the state of sw1 off and sw2 on for GSM, K-PCS, the state of sw1 off and sw2 off for WCDMA. Respectively and characteristics of gain and radiation patterns are determined for a reconfigurable multi-band mobile terminal.
The Sensitivity Analysis for Customer Feedback on Social Media

Social media, such as Social Network Service include a lot of spontaneous opinions from customers, so recent companies collect and analyze information about customer feedback by using the system that analyzes Big Data on social media in order to efficiently operate businesses. However, it is difficult to analyze data collected from online sites accurately with existing morpheme analyzer because those data have spacing errors and spelling errors. In addition, many online sentences are short and do not include enough meanings which will be selected, so established meaning selection methods, such as mutual information, chi-square statistic are not able to practice Emotional Classification. In order to solve such problems, this paper suggests a module that can revise the meanings by using initial consonants/vowels and phase pattern dictionary and meaning selection method that uses priority of word class in a sentence. On the basis of word class extracted by morpheme analyzer, these new mechanisms would separate and analyze predicate and substantive, establish properties Database which is subordinate to relevant word class, and extract positive/negative emotions by using accumulated properties Database.
Spreading Codes Based Multicast Feedback Scheme for Reliable Multicast Services

In order to support reliable medium access control (MAC) layer multicast services in Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) networks, we here propose spreading codes (Cumulative ACK (CA) code and ARQ Feedback Request (AFR) code) based reliable multicast feedback scheme. The status indications based on the automatic repeat request (ARQ) mechanism are needed in some multicast services. In accordance with various wireless channel environments, we demonstrate the performance excellency of our proposed scheme with respect to required uplink resources compared with the original feedback scheme based on unicast ARQ feedback messages. In addition, we analyze packet error rate (PER) against the various wireless channel environments.
NoCOM: Near-Optimal Cell Outage Management for Guaranteeing User QoS

To manage cell outage problem in indoor wireless communication systems, we should resolve the problem of abrupt network failure quickly. In this paper, we propose a near-optimal cell outage management (NoCOM) scheme to support seamless services to users. In consideration of system throughput, user fairness, and the guarantee of QoS simultaneously, the NoCOM scheme finds the solution of subchannel and power allocations using a non-convex optimization technique and allocates radio resources to users iteratively. Through intensive simulations, we verify the outstanding performances of the proposed NoCOM scheme with respect to the average cell capacity, user fairness, and computational complexity.
Design and Implementation of CRL download protocol for supporting of WAVE systems

WAVE(Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments) system is wireless communication technology that vehicle sends and receives packets between vehicles or between vehicles and infrastructure in a high-speed mobile environment. In this study, we have designed and implemented a CRL(Certificate Revocation List) download protocol that is used to verify certificate revocation status of the other party when the vehicles communicate with WAVE system. This protocol operates over UDP. And to support security features, also, ECDSA(Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) is used for mutual authentication and ECIES(Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme) is used to ensure the confidentiality. Moreover, this protocol ensures the integrity of data by adding MAC(Message Authentication Code) to the end of packet and support the error and flow control mechanisms.
Performance Improvement of STAC Protocol by Grouping the Number of Tags

In RFID system, when multiple tags respond simultaneously, a collision can occur. A method that solves this collision is referred as anti-collision algorithm. In 13.56MHz RFID system of Auto-ID center, STAC protocol is defined as an anti-collision algorithm for multiple tag reading. The PS algorithm divides the tags within the identification range of reader into smaller groups by increasing the transmission power incrementally and identifies them. In this paper, we propose a STAC/PS algorithm that the PS algorithm is applied in the STAC protocol. Through simulations, it is demonstrated that the collision rate for the proposed algorithm is about 50% lower than STAC protocol. Therefore, the STAC/PS algorithm can achieve faster tag identification speed compared with STAC protocol due to the low collision rate.
Efficient Multicast Transmission Scheme in WiMedia D-MAC for Seamless N-Screen Services

In this paper, WiMedia Distributed-MAC protocol is adopted for development of a seamless N-screen wireless service. Furthermore, to provide the OSMU (One Source Multi Use) N-screen service through P2P streaming in the seamless D-MAC protocol, a new Multicast-free DRP Availability IE is proposed and analyzed. In this Multicast-free DRP Availability IE, indicating Multicast DRP Owner and Receiver is required. The ACK frame transmissions are not required for Multicast transmissions in P2P N-screen services. Using this property, the Multicast-free DRP Availability IE scheme is proposed to expand the number of time slots available for unicast and multicast DRP reservations. Simulation results show that our Multicast scheme enhances performances in vewpoints of DRP reservation conflict and throughput.

SDN (Software Defined Network) technology, hardware and network control functions should be separated independently of existing switches or routers and data transfer functions and are also refers to a separate network architecture that can develop and run. When planning a network and designed to reflect the network control function by applying the SDN may reflect the resources efficiently. In this study, one people suggest Applications SDN, which offer an absolutely necessary part of a coded program that combines the benefits of the existing IOS (Combined Benefits) applying the model to complete the Controller part through the MPLS IOS. The OpenFlow Controller is a command to the router LER(Label Edge Router), and transmits the packet in accordance with the command to the destination according to the EXP bit. To configure TCP / IP to the IOS through the optimized coding. Using the OpenFlow protocol controller transmits an encapsulation header as defined in the MPLS packet.
A User Driven Adaptive Bandwidth Video Streaming System

Adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming technology has become an important and prevalent feature in many multimedia delivery systems, with content providers such as Netflix and Amazon using ABR streaming to increase bandwidth efficiency and provide the maximum user experience when channel conditions are not ideal. Where such systems could see improvement is in the delivery of live video with a closed loop cognitive control of video encoding. In this paper, we present streaming camera system which provides spatially and temporally adaptive video streams, learning the user's preferences in order to make intelligent scaling decisions. The system employs a hardware based H.264/AVC encoder for video compression. The encoding parameters can be configured by the user or by the cognitive system on behalf of the user when the bandwidth changes. A cognitive video client developed in this study learns the user's preferences(i.e. video size over frame rate) over time and intelligently adapts encoding parameters when the channel conditions change. It has been demonstrated that the cognitive decision system developed has the ability to control video bandwidth by altering the spatial and temporal resolution, as well as the ability to make scaling decisions.

The WAVE(Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments) communication system supports wireless communication environments between vehicles. As the utilization of wireless communication has been increased, attack methods have been varied. There is a high risk on packet manipulations conducted by third party. In this paper, we have designed a secure communication protocol between CA and vehicles. Our designed protocol uses a ECIES(Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme) for vehicle authentication and AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm for protecting packet integrity and confidentiality.
The performance analysis of the selective element encryption method

There are a lot of encryption methods to secure database proposed recently. Those encryption methods can protect the sensitive data of users effectively, but it deteriorates the search performance of database query. In this paper, we proposed the selective element encryption method in order to complement those drawbacks. In addition, we compared the performance of the proposed method with that of tuple level encryption method using the various queries. As a result, we found that the proposed method, which use the selective element encryption with bloom filter as a index, has better performance than the other encryption method.

In this paper, we present a novel method to verify the financial site and prevent sensitive information disclosure with financial security card and smart phone. This method allows homepage access when user accesses to the valid site with right security card and smart phone. Furthermore, traditional OTP method cannot be secure against to Man in the middle attack, but out method presents the countermeasure of this. User can readily recognize the phishing and pharming sites and even avoid Man in the middle attack by malicious users.
Implementation of Academic Journal Map based on Electronic Cultural Atlas using Google Maps

With the growing interests in ICT convergence, interdisciplinary researches are still actively discussed and studied today such as cultural atlas DB, electronic cultural atlas. Electronic cultural atlas can show various cultural aspects on the map by using point, line, polygon, and so on. Users can obtain the informations connected to the three values through manipulating theme, spatial and time values. In this regard, text information can be visualized as various ways like point, line, and polygon on the map. This can make the user get information effectively by usability, accessibility and immediacy of the system. In this paper, we implemented academic journal map system based on the electronic cultural atlas using Google Maps. This system supports various journals information services based on electronic cultural atlas and can be used efficiently as a tool for academic trends analysis. Also, it provides academic material through visualization of information based on the map. In detail, it can be utilized as the foundations for research of Humanities and Area Studies.
A Study on Semantic Web based User Oriented Retrieval System

Recently, the Web is becoming more difficult to manage efficiently retrieve with the increase of data. However, the retrieval systems that are currently used have not been applied to the Semantic Web technology. Thus, the development of the Semantic Web is not activated. User of the retrieval system also the Semantic Web usage is low is the situation. In this paper, we are analyzed the retrieval system that is currently being used. we are proposed added the rule of the RDF representation during ontology implementation of the retrieval system. And we propose the user-centric of retrieval system design and implementation.
Development of Communication Joint Tools for Implementing a Legacy-line Communication System in a Train

In this paper, a design of communication joint tools to implement a legacy-line communication (LLC) system, which exploits various conductive lines in a train, is presented. We develop two kinds of joint tools; one is a conductive joint tool (CJT) that is connected directly to the conventional lines and the other is the inductive joint tool (IJT) which connects the conventional lines indirectly using electromagnetic induction. As a result, the practical experiment of data communication confirms that an LLC system with the developed joint tools has a transmission rate more than 20 Mbps in the distance of 200 m away. In addition, an environmental durability test shows that the joint tools operate stably in an extreme environmenal variation. It is, therefore, considered that the developed joint tools are very useful to implement a communication network in the train working currently.
A Small-area Hardware Design of 128-bit Lightweight Encryption Algorithm LEA

This paper describes an efficient hardware design of Lightweight Encryption Algorithm (LEA) developed by National Security Research Institute(NSRI). The LEA crypto-processor supports for master key of 128-bit. To achieve small-area and low-power implementation, an efficient hardware sharing is employed, which shares hardware resources for encryption and decryption in round transformation block and key scheduler. The designed LEA crypto-processor was verified by FPGA implementation. The LEA core synthesized with Xilinx ISE has 1,498 slice elements, and the estimated throughput is 216.24 Mbps with 135.15 MHz.
Frequency Division Concurrent Sensing Method for High-Speed Detection of Large Touch Screens

This paper presents a high-speed sensing and noise cancellation technique for large touch screens, which is called FDCS (Frequency Division Concurrent Sensing). Most conventional touch screen detection methods apply excitation pulses sequentially and analyze the sensing signals sequentially, and so are often unacceptably slow for large touch screens. The proposed technique applies sinusoidal signals of orthogonal frequencies simultaneously to all drive lines, and analyzes the signals from each sense line in frequency domain. Its parallel driving allows high speed detection even for a very large touch screens. It enhances the sensing SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) by introducing a frequency domain noise filtering scheme. We also propose a pre-distortion equalizer, which compensates the drive signals using the inverse transfer function of touch screen panel to further enhance the sensing SNR. Experimental results with a 23" large touch screen show that the proposed technique enhances the frame scan rate by 273% and an SNR by 43dB compared with a conventional scheme.
Threshold Voltage Shift for Doping Profile of Asymmetric Double Gate MOSFET

This paper has analyzed threshold voltage shift for doping profile of asymmetric double gate(DG) MOSFET. Ion implantation is usually used in process of doping for semiconductor device and doping profile becomes Gaussian distribution. Gaussian distribution function is changed for projected range and standard projected deviation, and influenced on transport characteristics. Therefore, doping profile in channel of asymmetric DGMOSFET is affected in threshold voltage. Threshold voltage is minimum gate voltage to operate transistor, and defined as top gate voltage when drain current is
per unit width. The analytical potential distribution of series form is derived from Poisson's equation to obtain threshold voltage. As a result, threshold voltage is greatly changed by doping profile in high doping range, and the shift of threshold voltage due to projected range and standard projected deviation significantly appears for bottom gate voltage in the region of high doping concentration.
The Study on the Design of the Integrated Monitoring System of Facilities in Data Center

Recently, as shown demands and the need for Cloud dig data, large-scale data centers, as well as factory unit's have also vigor. This study focuses the system design that can integrate various facilities on the data center build upon of the factory and the midsize group. Because the integrated facilities management of midsize groups should have variety of sensors and devices requires integrated monitoring system that can manage them as a whole. In this study, it constitutes a integrated model protocol interface of the various facilities, it suggests ways to avoid the errors that may occur during design to study the development and systematically carried out. For this purpose, this study provides the analysis of a failure information delivery time and integration scenario for efficient analysis and evaluation of an integrated monitoring system.
Evaluation of PPG signals regarding to video attributes of smart-phone camera

In this study, we study that the video attributes captured by built-in camera in smart-phone can effect on the quality of PPG signal. The conditions of video attributes were composed of the bitrate, the resolution, the flash. As each condition, we measured a change in the red value of the video image and calculated a PPI(Pulse to Pulse Interval) for extracting the pulse wave signal. 20 subjects participated in the experiment and this experiment was carried out 18 tasks. The PPG signal was measured simultaneously for two minutes with the PPG sensor in the middle finger and Smart-phone in the forefinger of the right hand. By proceeding the correlation analysis, we obtained the highest correlation condition(83%, p=0.01), which the resolution was
, bitrate was 5000kbps, flash was on. As a result, this study will be a useful guide for quality of signals in the pulse signal measurement system using built-in camera in smart-phone.
Location Estimation Method of Positioning System utilizing the iBeacon

In this paper, by utilizing the iBeacon is BLE (BlueTooth Low Energy) protocol devices that are supported by over the Bluetooth 4.0, and have implemented a system to improve the accuracy in the system for measuring the position of the user. After measuring through the system according to the state of the iBeacon, the interference factors are analyzed through analysis of the collected data, and applying the extended Kalman filter for calibration. Compared with the data after applying a filter with existing data, it was confirmed an increase in accuracy. Improvement techniques for providing the less complexity to the actual implementation, is effective in improving the accuracy of vulnerable services basic iBeacon.
Short-range Monitoring of Marine AtoN Charge and Discharge Controller

If the Visual Aids(light wave signs) is not supplied the general power it is using solar power system. These power supply systems, the role of the charge/discharge control is very important. Introduction of IT(AIS etc.) for the effective management of the AtoN(Aids to Navigation) is a Visual Aids has been added to the device using the power to charge/discharge control, the need increases. The current charge/discharge controller is attached to the inside of the AtoN and checks on and verification of the maritime environment, depending on the difficulty. In order to resolve these issues in this paper, the Bluetooth module is mounted on the inside of the charge/discharge controller and proposed a possible system monitoring at close range. Advantage of the system implemented is a simple configuration and low installation cost. In addition, it can be applied to a variety of AtoN. Also, it has been able to check the real-time status information of the charge/discharge controller at a short distance in to reduce inspection costs, and reduce risk factors that might occur during check.
Region of Interest Extraction Method and Hardware Implementation of Matrix Pattern Image

This paper presents the region of interest pattern image extraction method on a display printed matrix pattern. Proposed method can not use conventional method such as laser, ultrasonic waves and touch sensor. It searches feature point and rotation angle using luminance and pattern reliable feature points of input image, and then it extracts region of interest. In order to extract region of interest, we simulate proposed method using pattern image written various angles on display panel. The proposed method makes progress using the OpenCV and the window program, and was designed using Verilog-HDL and was verified through the FPGA Board(xc6vlx760) of Xilinx.
ROI Extraction and Enhancement for Finger Vein Recognition

Recently, the finger vein recognition based on NIR and CCD sensor camera is investigating the technology to identify a personal using by biometrics. The performance difference of finger vein recognition is generated according to methods that are to separate the vein and background from noises such as finger thickness, ambient light, skin temperature, etc. To improve these problems, in this study, we are proposing the methods for rotation, ROI extraction, and enhancement of vein image captured by NIR LED and CCD camera, and were evaluated performances of these methods. In results of the experiment, the accuracy of the proposed method for image rotation and ROI extraction was 99.8%. And the proposed filter bank method in vein enhancement has shown better performance than retinex algorithm. The proposed method for results of these experimentations will provide better recognition rate when applied to the preprocessing of finger vein recognition.

In this research, an overlapped illumination model was newly proposed for designing a freeform LED lens with a uniform illuminance distribution on its illuminating plane. Based on the proposed model and conventional illumination models, freeform lenses were designed and their performances and tolerances were compared. As a result of the tolerance analysis about thickness change in lens, position, size change, central direction change of light emission and characteristic change in LED source. This proposed model and divergent illumination model are similar to the performance about central direction change of light emission in LED source. but the uniformity illumination value in this proposed model is more remarkably value than it in divergent illumination model about characteristic change in LED source.
High Density Salt & Pepper Noise Reduction using Lagrange Interpolation and Iteration Process

Along with the rapid development in digital times, image media are being used in internet, computer and digital camera. But image deterioration occurs due to various exterior reasons in the procedures of acquisition, processing, transmission and recording of digital image and major reason is noise. Therefore in order to remove salt & pepper noise, this study suggested the algorithm which replaces the noise to original pixel in case of non-noise, and processes the noise with Lagrange interpolation method in case of noise. In case high density noise was added and the noise could not be removed, noise characteristics were improved by processing the noises repeatedly. And for objective judgment, this method was compared with existing methods and PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio) was used as judgment standard.

To improve the control performance of the IPMSM, a novel nonlinear disturbance observer is proposed by using the T-S fuzzy model. A T-S fuzzy model is the combination of local linear models considered at each operating point. Usually the inverse model is easy to obtain in linear systems but not in nonlinear systems. To design a nonlinear disturbance observer, a nonlinear inverse model is obtained based on nonlinear inverse model which is the fuzzy combination of the local linear inverse models. The proposed DOB is used with a PDC controller which is one of the T-S fuzzy controller, and its performance improvement is shown from the simulation results.
A Study on Correlation Analysis of Information Subject and Convergence Subject for the Gifted Children in IT

In the knowledge-based society, IT literacy and application of a person become a measure of personal competitiveness. As IT industry is of great important nationally, many countries are trying to make an effort to promote IT industry. In this sense, identification and fostering of the gifted children in IT become an important national task since, in IT industry, usually only a few prodigies have led whole IT industry. Currently gifted education aims for convergent gifted education according to government policy. The purpose of this paper is to investigate correlation of information subject and convergent subject for the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, the gifted children in IT who attended a gifted science education center attached to a university at Seoul Metropolitan Area are selected. Their grades during their the period of attendance are collected and analysed. The statistical results show that there is a meaningful correlation between information subject and convergent subject for the gifted children in IT. It means that the higher scores information subject is, the higher scores convergent subject is. The results can be used to make or change gifted curriculum and education contents for gifted IT education.

A Study of Load Tolerance Node using Load-balance in Mobile Ad hoc Networks

Mobile Ad hoc Network(MANET) consists of a node that has mobility. In MANET, the node has routing, the node builds a network of their own, no dependent infrastructure. Topology are exchanged due to node mobility in MANET. For reducing the change of topology, hierarchical network algorithm has been investigated. In hierarchical network, cluster member node communicates through cluster head node. When the load-balancing of cluster head node is exceed, assigned cluster member node can't communicate with base station. To solve this problem, we proposed Load Tolerance algorithm. The proposed algorithm, when cluster member node can't send a message by cluster head node that exceed load-balancing, then the cluster member node sends a message by selected load tolerance node. Through a simulation, the proposed algorithm improves packet delivery ratio in cluster routing.
Context-aware Connectivity Analysis Method using Context Data Prediction Model in Delay Tolerant Networks

In this paper, we propose EPCM(Efficient Prediction-based Context-awareness Matrix) algorithm analyzing connectivity by predicting cluster's context data such as velocity and direction. In the existing DTN, unrestricted relay node selection causes an increase of delay and packet loss. The overhead is occurred by limited storage and capability. Therefore, we propose the EPCM algorithm analyzing predicted context data using context matrix and adaptive revision weight, and selecting relay node by considering connectivity between cluster and base station. The proposed algorithm saves context data to the context matrix and analyzes context according to variation and predicts context data after revision from adaptive revision weight. From the simulation results, the EPCM algorithm provides the high packet delivery ratio by selecting relay node according to predicted context data matrix.

The amount of smart phones has increased exponentially. Due to the periodic release of high-performance smart phones and upgraded operating system, new smart phones become out-dated over 1 or 2 years. In order to solve environmental constraints of these smart phones, virtualization technology using Thin-Client terminal has been developed. However, in the case of Virtual Machine(VM), the applications associated with sensors and a GPS device can not run because they are not included. In this paper, by implementing the device driver for Android running in a virtual machine in the x86-based systems, it is to provide Android virtualization capabilities such as using the latest smart phones in the virtual machine environment. It would like to propose a method that the virtual device driver receives sensors and GPS information from the old Android smart phones(Thin-Client) that actually work and run as if the real device exists.

Safety and security system have been internationally enhanced in a field of shipping logistics. Accordingly, techniques for safety and security have been studied steadily. The need of portable radiation detection device is increasing by the search of the container is enhanced. In this paper, we propose a study to improve the life of the system and the realization of portable radiation detection device based on Cortex-A9. Configuration of a portable radiation detection device is configured largely to an analog board and the digital platform and the sensor module. The power used in each stage of the analog board is varied. Uses a switching regulator to use various power supply thereby to generate an error result and cause the switching noise. It is proposed to reduce the power consumption reducing technique for the study.
