800MHz Band Dual-fed ICS Repeater Antenna with High Isolation

Even if ICS(Interference Cancellation System) repeater is used in wireless communication system, it has the disadvantage that it must have enough distance between Donor and Service antenna to be isolated. In this paper, new ICS repeater integrated antenna with high insolation characteristics is designed. The proposed antenna is fabricated for 800MHz and measured. Bandwidth and gain are optimized by changing the stub lengths near main patch and power divider, and also by changing the size of parasitic patch. The fabricated antenna has a return loss less than -13 dB, a gain over 3 dBi, and an isolation between the donor and the server antennas less than -56 dB from 824~894 MHz for CDMA mobile communication. Therefore, the proposed antenna structure can be applied to eliminate the shadow area and to expand the coverage area for any other wireless communication bands.
Wideband Stacked Microstrip Antenna with Rectangular and Triangular Parasitic Patches for 860MHz Band

A wideband stacked patch antenna with parasitic elements, rectangular and triangle shaped patches, is proposed. Two different shaped parasitic elements are placed in the above of main rectangular microstrip patch antenna in order to achieve wide bandwidth for 860 MHz band. Coupling between the main patch and parasitic patches is realized by thick air gap. The gap and locations of parasitic patches are found to be the main factor of the wideband impedance matching. The proposed antenna is designed and fabricated on a ground plane with small size of

The fabricated antenna on an FR4 substrate shows that the minimum measured return loss is below -11.68dB at 824 MHz and an impedance band of 818~919 MHz(11.7%) at 10dB return loss level. The measured radiation patterns are similar to those of a conventional patch antenna with maximum gain of 2.11 dBi at 824 MHz.

With lots of information occurring on the Internet, the search engine plays a role in gathering the scattered information on the Internet. Some search engines show not only search result pages including search keyword but also search result numbers of the keyword. The number of keyword searching result provided by the Google search engine can be utilized to identify overall trends for this search word on the internet. This paper is aimed designing and realizing the system which can efficiently manage the number of searching result provided by Google search engine. This paper proposed system operates by Web, and consist of search agent, storage node, and search node, manage keyword and search result, numbers, and executing search. The proposed system make the results such as search keywords, the number of searching, NGD(Normalized Google Distance) that is the distance between two keywords in Google area.
Rake Receiver Based on Bit Error Rate of Training Sequence Duration for Underwater Acoustic Communication

In the underwater acoustic communication channels, a multipath reflection becomes the cause of obstacle. To solve this problem, a rake receiver has been required for which one could take the time diversity. However, there is a concern about using incorrect path to recover signals with a high weighting value as underwater acoustic communication channels have severe time-variant property. In order to prevent these problem, a rake receiver is proposed which is based on BER(bit error rate) train sequence duration. The performance is evaluated through lake trials; there are three methods that are a proposed rake receiver, a conventional rake receiver, and a non-rake receiver. As a result, the number of bit errors in the proposed rake receiver, that of bit errors in the conventional rake receiver, and that of bit errors in the non-rake receiver is 8, 45, and 72, respectively.
A Study of MIMO FTN Scheme based on Layered Space Time Code using Turbo Code

The next generation wireless and satellite communications require high transmission efficiency and high reliability to provide various services with subscribers. To satisfied these requirements, incorporated MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) system with FTN (Faster Than Nyquist) techniques based on layered space time coded method are considered in the paper. To improve performance, STTC (Space Time Trellis Code) was employed as an inner code. As the same as SISO (Single Input Single Output) system, the outer codes are turbo codes. In receiver side, BCJR algorithm is used for STTC decoding in order to eliminate interferences induced by FTN transmission. They can yield significantly increased the data rates and improved link reliability without additional bandwidth. Therefore, we proposed a new decoding model for MIMO FTN model and confirmed that performance was improved compared to conventional SISO model according to amount of interference for FTN.
On the Spectral Efficient Physical-Layer Network Coding Technique Based on Spatial Modulation

Recently, the volume of mobile data traffic increases exponentially due to the emergence of various mobile services. In order to resolve the problem of mobile traffic increase, various new technologies have been devised. Especially, two-way relay communication in which two nodes can transfer data simultaneously through relay node, has gained lots of interests due to its capability to improve spectral efficiency. In this paper, we analyze the SM-PNC which combines Physical-layer Network Coding (PNC) and Spatial Modulation (SM) under two-way relay communication environment. Log-Likelihood Ratio (LLR) is considered and both separate decoding and direct decoding have been taken into account in performance analysis. Through performance evaluation, we have found that the bit error rate of the proposed scheme is improved compared to that of the conventional PNC scheme, especially when SNR is high and the number of antennas is large.
Effect of Random Node Distribution on the Throughput in Infrastructure-Supported Erasure Networks

The nearest-neighbor multihop routing with/without infrastructure support is known to achieve the optimal capacity scaling in a large packet-erasure network in which multiple wireless nodes and relay stations are regularly placed and packets are erased with a certain probability. In this paper, a throughput scaling law is shown for an infrastructure-supported erasure network where wireless nodes are randomly distributed, which is a more feasible scenario. We use an exponential decay model to suitably model an erasure probability. To achieve high throughput in hybrid random erasure networks, the multihop routing via highway using the percolation theory is proposed and the corresponding throughput scaling is derived. As a main result, the proposed percolation highway based routing scheme achieves the same throughput scaling as the nearest-neighbor multihop case in hybrid regular erasure networks. That is, it is shown that no performance loss occurs even when nodes are randomly distributed.
Power Allocation and Splitting Algorithm with Low-complexity for SWIPT in Energy Harvesting Networks

Recently, energy harvesting, in which energy is collected from RF signals, has been regarded as a promising technology to improve the lifetime of sensors by alleviating the lack of power supply problem. In this paper, we try to propose an efficient algorithm for simultaneous wireless information and power transfer. At first, we find the lower bound of water-level using the probability density function of channel, and derive the solution of power allocation in energy harvesting networks. In addition, we derive an efficient power splitting method for satisfying the minimum required harvested energy constraint. The simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme improves the average data rate while guaranteeing the minimum required harvested energy constraint, compared with the conventional scheme. In addition, the proposed algorithm can reduce the computational complexity remarkably with insignificant performance degradation less than 10%, compared to the optimal solution.
Development of a Monitoring System for a Pipe Cleaning Robot with RS-485

Various pipes are used in the many industrial field such as water supply, drainage system and marine plants, so a maintenance of these pipes is essential. Especially, the maintenance of the piping in the industrial field, some professional staffs enter and clean the pipe. If the professional staffs can not enter and clean the pipe, the workers has to use the method of inserting a scraper connected to wire inside the pipe. However, this method demands huge budget and causes a number of problems such as traffic congestion. To solve these problems, pipe cleaning robot has been researching and developing. Many Pipe cleaning robots have a problem, that is impossible to confirm the operating condition of the robot in a real time. This paper suggest pipe cleaning robot with RS-485 which transmit operating and cleaning condition of robot and inner pipe filmed by camera, that user can check.
STAC/EPS Algorithm for Fast Tag Identification in RFID System

The PS algorithm divides the number of tags within the identification range of reader into smaller groups by increasing the transmission power incrementally and identifies them. It limits the number of responding tags by grouping the tags within the identification range of the reader, and thus can reduce the probability of tag collision. Also, in the PS algorithm, the reader takes advantages of the difference of identification ranges. This algorithm uses the fixed frame size at every scan. Therefore, it has problems that the performance can be shown variously according to the number of tags and frame size. In this paper, we propose an EPS algorithm that allocates the optimal frame size by estimating the number of tags at each scan, and apply it into the STAC protocol. The simulation results showed that STAC/EPS algorithm can improve the identification delay about 45% compared with STAC protocol. Also, it provides a stable identification delay regardless of power level increase.
Smartphone Real Time Streaming Service using Parallel TCP Transmission

This paper proposed an efficient multiple TCP mechanism using Android smartphones for remote control video Wi-Fi stream transmission via network communications in real time. The wireless video stream transmission mechanism can be applied in various area such as real time server stream transmissions, movable drones, disaster robotics and real time security monitoring systems. Moreover, we urgently need to transmit data in timely fashion such as medical emergency, security surveillance and disaster prevention. Our parallel TCP transmission system can play an important role in several area such as real time server stream transmissions, movable drones, disaster robotics and real time security monitoring systems as mentioned in the previous sentence. Therefore, we designed and implemented a parallel TCP transmission (parallel stream) for an efficient real time video streaming services. In conclusion, we evaluated proposed mechanism using parallel TCP transmission under various environments with performance analysis.
Fixed Partitioning Methods for Extending lifetime of sensor node for Wireless Sensor Networks

WSN based on wireless sensor nodes, Sensor nodes can not be reassigned and recharged if they once placed. Each sensor node comes into being involved to a communication network with its limited energy. But the existing proposed clustering techniques, being applied to WSN environment with irregular dispersion of sensor nodes, have the network reliability issues which bring about a communication interruption with the local node feature of unbalanced distribution in WSN. Therefore, the communications participation of the sensor nodes in the suggested algorithm is extended by 25% as the sensor field divided in the light of the non-uniformed distribution of sensor nodes and a static or a dynamic clustering algorithm adopted according to its partition of sensor node density in WSN. And the entire network life cycle was extended by 14% to ensure the reliability of the network.
Implementation of the T2-MI Demultiplexer for Hybrid Broadcasting

By recent development of wired and wireless communication technology, any service can be delivered through broadcasting networks or communication networks. So contents consumers want to receive broadcasting program via any accessible network. Network independent broadcasting system can receive optimized multimedia contents by combining the high-quality multimedia contents transmitted through broadcasting network and the additional contents delivered through communication network. Additional contents can be other multimedia contents, URL of contents, some texts for indicating information of received multimedia, etc. Network independent broadcasting system is in early stage of development, and receivers and the monitoring system for hybrid broadcast are under development. Thus the multiplexing method and demultiplexing method to perform hybrid broadcasting is on study. In this paper, we designed the demultiplexing algorithm to perform hybrid broadcasting system and implemented demultiplexer system based on modulator interface system standard T2-MI of DVB-T2.
T-DMB System Based on Limited Reception Function

Current terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) is conducting the emergency alert broadcast, or can view a variety of broadcasting. However, propagation shadow area is a situation where the service is limited due to limitations of facilities investment. In addition, there is the problem of T-DMB broadcasting is for viewing only a restricted area and a mobile device because the mobile is also T-DMB viewing device impossible. In this paper, it receives a T-DMB broadcasting as a way to solve the problems of the T-DMB system, which was studied the re transmission to the mobile device. Accordingly, by receiving the broadcast may be watched in the mobile device the T-DMB reception impossible. Also provides a one-way/two-way authentication mechanism using a conditional access function, and the system was configured so that the user can watch only the registered broadcasting.
WOI : Determining Area of Interest and Gaze Analysis for Task Switching in a Window Unit Behavior Measurement in Windowing System GUI

This paper is a research of gaze analysis for measuring task switching behavior at multiple windows in GUI of windowing system. Previous methods that define area of interest for categorizing gaze had difficulties to define dynamic content that disappears or changes over time. On the other hand, this study suggests a new method to categorize gaze that defines Area of interest in a unit of window during the eye tracking experiment. In this paper, we constructed the conception of WOI(Window of Interest) in GUI of windowing system. Therefore, we developed a system using an eye tracker device and implemented a number of experiments. In addition, we analyzed the number of task switching and proportion of watched content. The method in the study comprehend from previous researches as it can measure and analyze the multi-tasking behaviors using multiple numbers of windows.

MACsec is a cryptographic function that operates on Layer 2, the international standard defined in the IEEE 802.1AE. As industries such as IoT(Internet of Things) devices are receiving attention recently are connected to the network and Internet traffic is increasing rapidly, and is exposed to the risk of a variety of Internet attacks. Traditional network security technologies were often made in Layer 3, such as IPsec. However, to be increased as rapidly as the current traffic situation is complicated, and became interested in the security function of protecting the entire traffic instead of for a specific application or protocol. It appeared as these technologies is technology MACsec technology to protect all traffic in Layer 2. In this paper, we propose a Layer 2 security technology adapter MACsec MACsec a technology that allows you to simply and easily add them to the existing Layer 2 networks.
A Distributed Instant Message System Architecture using Media Control Channel

In this paper, a distributed instant message system with multiple servers architecture which can distribute system load effectively using an extended media control channel has been presented. A media control channel provides establishing a reliable control channel and also keeping a reliable control channel between SIP server and client in the field of real-time media transport area. In this study, a new instant message system architecture which can distribute massive instant message including multimedia data to multiple servers has been presented. The presented instant message system architecture can distribute system load by extending media control channel. For this purpose, media control channel messages, which distribute system load to multiple servers dynamically according to increasing number of users, have been designed in our presented system. And, in our research, an exchanging procedures of media control channel messages between servers have also been presented. The performance of the proposed system has been analysed by simulation.
Effect of Substrate Temperature on the Optical and Electrical Properties of ITO Thin Films deposited on Nb

). The resistivity showed a decreasing tendency, because crystallinity has been improved due to the enlarged grain size with increasing substrate temperature. ITO thin film deposited at

Analysis of Tunneling Current of Asymmetric Double Gate MOSFET for Ratio of Top and Bottom Gate Oxide Film Thickness

This paper analyzes the deviation of tunneling current for the ratio of top and bottom gate oxide thickness of short channel asymmetric double gate(DG) MOSFET. The ratio of tunneling current for off current significantly increases if channel length reduces to 5 nm. This short channel effect occurs for asymmetric DGMOSFET having different top and bottom gate oxide structure. The ratio of tunneling current in off current with parameters of channel length and thickness, doping concentration, and top/bottom gate voltages is calculated in this study, and the influence of tunneling current to occur in short channel is investigated. The analytical potential distribution is obtained using Poisson equation and tunneling current using WKB(Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin). As a result, tunneling current is greatly changed for the ratio of top and bottom gate oxide thickness in short channel asymmetric DGMOSFET, specially according to channel length, channel thickness, doping concentration, and top/bottom gate voltages.
Sensorless Control of 3-phase PFC AC/DC Converter using Kalman Filter

This paper investigates a new sensorless control appling a virtual flux oriented vector control without the line voltage sensor for the power factor correction of 3 phase PWM converter. The DC output voltage is controlled by applying the kalman filter algorithm for the virtual flux estimation and the synchronous phase is obtained by using the estimated virtual flux equation based on kalman filter. This method is used to reduce the calculation time of the system and obtain a stable control that the input current including the harmonics and the noise is improved. The proposed system implement PFC algorithm in the variable region of DC output voltage. It can obtain the unity power factor, and can precisely control the DC output voltage in the load variation and in the variable voltage range. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiment.
Self-contained LED lantern Control system with BLE functions

LED beacons operated on an isolated marine area are mostly employing the solar power supply system, and this system is well known for increasing the cost of management and maintenance. Recently, a number of researches and demonstrations on self-contained LED beacon is actively conducted to solve this issue. In this work, we propose an self-contained LED beacon with Bluetooth Low Energy function for an effective management of LED beacon. Firstly, control program structure is designed by expanding the status protocol of self-contained LED beacon, and then it is implemented into the form which administrator can easily understand. The control system visualizes the status and control data of self-contained LED beacon, and this enables the rapid decision-making of administrator. Also, minimizing electricity consumption of the beacon, it can transfer and update the status or light information of self-contained LED beacons with smart phone.
Prediction method of node movement using Markov Chain in DTN

This paper describes a novel Context-awareness Markov Chain Prediction (CMCP) algorithm based on movement prediction using Markov chain in Delay Tolerant Network (DTN). The existing prediction models require additional information such as a node's schedule and delivery predictability. However, network reliability is lowered when additional information is unknown. To solve this problem, we propose a CMCP model based on node behaviour movement that can predict the mobility without requiring additional information such as a node's schedule or connectivity between nodes in periodic interval node behavior. The main contribution of this paper is the definition of approximate speed and direction for prediction scheme. The prediction of node movement forwarding path is made by manipulating the transition probability matrix based on Markov chain models including buffer availability and given interval time. We present simulation results indicating that such a scheme can be beneficial effects that increased the delivery ratio and decreased the transmission delay time of predicting movement path of the node in DTN.
Relay Node Selection Method using Node-to-node Connectivity and Masking Operation in Delay Tolerant Networks

This paper propose an improving relay node selection method for node-to-node connectivity. This concern with the mobility and analysis of deployed for masking operation using highest connectivity node. The major of Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) routing protocols make use of simple forwarding approach to transmit the message depend on the node's mobility. In this cases, the selection of the irrelevant mobile node induced the delay and packet delivery loss caused by limiting buffer size and computational power of node. Also the proposed algorithm provides the node connectivity considering the mobility and direction select the highest connectivity node from neighbor node using masking operation. From the simulation results, the proposed algorithm compared the packet delivery ratio with PROPHET and Epidemic. The proposed Enhanced Prediction-based Context-awareness Matrix(EPCM) algorithm shows an advantage packet delivery ratio even with selecting relay node according to mobility and direction.
Performance Analysis of Integrated GNSS with GPS and QZSS

The Quasi-Zenith Satellite System(QZSS) is the Japanese satellite navigation system, which designs to increase the GPS system's visibility in the urban areas. The first satellite(Michibiki) was launched in 2010 and started to broadcast navigation signals. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to analyze the performance of GPS and QZSS based on the advantage of the integrated GNSS. Especially, the study has been processed in terms of improving satellite navigation parameters around Korean Peninsula. To do this, there have been the comprehensive analysis of the QZSS characteristics, the experimental test, and its statistical analysis for realizing advantage of GPS and QZSS. Through these systemic steps, it was recognized that the integrated GPS and QZSS has more reliable than GPS in case of not only limited visibility but also ordinary positioning. Additionally, the integrated GPS and QZSS would be very useful to improve the various navigation parameters around the peninsula.
A Method for Reliability Analysis of Armored Fighting Vehicle using RBD based on Integrated Hit Probabilities of Crews and Components

Recently, the studies of integrated reliability analysis for combat systems are actively progressing. Especially, the research of integrated reliability analysis is emphasized to overcome limitations of the previous studies. In this paper, we propose a calculation technique for integrated hit probability based on front and side hit probabilities that analyzed in previous studies to improve the time-effectiveness. Also, we find out the integrated reliability of each component based on the integrated hit probability which is calculated, and we propose the method which applied the reliability block diagram technique to analyze the whole combat system of the reliability by function kills. For verifying the proposed method, we applied the proposed method to armored fighting vehicle model. The proposed method considers crew which does not considered the element in the previous study and expects to enhance the accuracy of reliability analysis and the time-effectiveness compared with the previous study.
