An Utilization Method of Information around Local Industry

This paper was studied on utilization method of information in Tong-yeong area of which main industry is fisheries. The three kinds of network models such as Marine Information Network Model, Fisheries Industry Information Network Model, Fisheries Products Marketing Information Model were suggested with a method maximizing the utilization value of information. Marine Information Network Model dealt with information on marine environment and marine biology, Fisheries Industry Information Network with information on fisheries and fisheries culture industry, and Fisheries Products Marketing Information with information on fish and fisheries culture products marketing. Service on the Web base was made possible so that a final user got the most recent information, treating on real-time base data collected from each information network.
Calculation for Equivalent Parameter of Multi Transmission Lines by Moment method

Recently the necessity of MMIC is increasing because clock frequency goes up by digital data transmission of Gbps class being demanded and the density of circuits gets high for the purpose of lightening and miniaturizing system, owing to the development of ultra high speed. When massing lines in a MMIC and super high speed integrated circuit cause the crosstalk and dispersion of signal, a digital signal is distorted and EMI is occurred. To solve this problems, It is necessary to analyze the equivalent parameters of transmission lines. This paper represent the results of the equivalent parameters of transmission lines for single and hi-level structure by using moment method.
Design and fabrication of the Printed Type Folded Slot Antenna

In general, printed antennas have a narrow bandwidth characteristic and many people want to find out the method of bandwidth improvement through complicated procedures. So we want to reform the conventional printed antenna characteristic by using the folded dipole's superiority to unit dipole. But it is hard to feed the printed folded dipole antenna, we use the CPW, which is widely used in microwave IC or MMIC applications and have many advantages to the conventional microstrip line, to feed the printed folded slot antenna. It is confirmed that the improvement in the bandwidth characteristic of CPW fed folded slot antenna, as much as 20%, through the measurement of designed and implemented antenna
Design and Implementation of Circuit Analyzer for Electronics Appliance Troubleshooting and Diagnosis using Curve Tracer Technology

This paper presents the design and implementation of circuit analyzer system for the convenient troubleshooting and diagnosis of the electronics appliance using the curve tracer technology of analog signature analysis. The circuit analyzer provides advanced troubleshooting capabilities to simplify testing newer technology components such as CMOS and MOS circuits, its built-in pulse generator lets thoroughly troubleshoot gate-fired devices such as SCRs, TRIACs and optocouplers. The circuit analyzer while the power to the circuitry testing is turned of, so that avoid an accidental short that could cause further damage, its allow to analyze the impedance state of a solid-state component, which makes it perfect for finding leakage or substrate damage that has brought a system or PCB down prematurely. Because it can compare suspect components to known-good equivalents, it's verified the ideal application for troubleshooting when documentation is missing or incomplete.
A Study on the Stable 20 Watt High Power Amplifier for INMARSAT-C

This paper presents the development of a high power amplifier for a transmitter of INMARSAT-C operating at L-band(1626.5∼1646.5 MHz). To simplify the fabrication process, the whole system is designed of two parts composed of a driving amplifier and a high power amplifier The HP's AT-41486 is used for driving part and the SGS-THOMSON microelectronics' STM1645 is used the high power amplifier. The SSPA(Solid State Power Amplifier) was fabricated by the both circuits of RF and temperature compensation in aluminum housing. The realized SSPA has more than 36 dB for small signal within 20MHz bandwidth, and the voltage standing wave ratios(VSWR) of input and output Port are less than 1.5:1, respectively. The output Power of 42.2 dBm is achieved at the 1636.5 MHz. These results reveal a high power amplifier of 20 Watt which is the design target.
Implementation of Design Simulator for SAW Coupled Mode Resonator Filter using a Mathematical Modeling of SAW Coupled Mode

In this work, a mathematical modeling of SAW coupled mode in SAW resonator filter, which is very useful in analyzing the characteristics of periodic electrode structure such as SAW reflective array and inter-digital transducers. was considered by mathematical analytic approach. The design and simulation method for resonator filter was also proposed by equivalent transduction matrix using this mathematical modeling. In order for a designer to simulate, and to design the coupled mode SAW resonator filters effectively that could be applied to mobile communication system, a design simulator for coupled mode filter was implemented by graphic user interface, and it was investigated by designing and analyzing practical SAW coupled mode resonator filter from a view point of application of this simulator.
A Design of the Wideband Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Three-dimensional Transition

In this paper, it is designed a new type single layer patch antenna which is printed on a very thin film and separated from the ground-plane by foam with a low permitivity of 1.06 and a high thickness of around quarter wavelength. It allows the use of three-dimensional transition, from one level to another, so that its bandwidth can be enhanced by wideband impedance matching. The radiation pattern, return loss, and VSWR of the antenna are calculated using "IE3D" simulation package, and compared with the experimental results. Experimental results show that the bandwidth is about 65% of center frequency 6.8 GHz, return loss and VSWR are in a fairly good agreement with the calculations.culations.
A Study on the Speech Recognition Performance of the Multilayered Recurrent Prediction Neural Network

We devise the 3 models of Multilayered Recurrent Prediction Neural Network(MLRPNN), which are obtained by modifying the Multilayered Perceptron(MLP) with 4 layers. We experimentally study the speech recognition performance of 3 models by a comparative method, according to the variation of the prediction order, the number of neurons in two hidden layers, initial values of connecting weights and transfer function, respectively. By the experiment, the recognition performance of each MLRPNN is better than that of MLP. At the model that returns the output of the upper hidden layer to the lower hidden layer, the recognition performance shows the best value. All MLRPNNs, which have 10 or 15 neurons in the upper and lower hidden layer and is predicted by 3rd or 4th order, show the improved speech recognition rate. On learning, these MLRPNNs have a better recognition rate when we set the initial weights between -0.5 and 0.5, and use the unipolar sigmoid transfer function in the lower hidden layer.
Facial Triangle and Histogram Analysis for Automatic Super-impose Individual Recognition

In this progressed super-impose individual recognition system, the photograph of a skull was caught by CCD-camcoder with the MPEG, and an ante-mortem photograph was read by scanner. These two images were processed and superimposed using horizontal angle and vertical angle of face using the forensic dental medicine theory. The enhancement of super-impose individual recognition by anatomical references was performed on the two superimposed images of the same angle using the facial triangle and histogram analysis scheme.
A study on Circuit Design and Performance Evaluation of the IMT-2000 for Wideband CDMA

In this dissertation, the characteristics of W-CDMA(Wideband CDMA) are studied and required specifications of IMT-2000 transceiver using W-CDMA method are proposed. Also, in order to design the RF circuits satisfied the proposed specifications, theoretical models are expanded and real circuits are made. Then the RF circuits of the mobile stations are implemented in the three parts, transmitter, receiver and frequency synthesizer and are evaluated. The frequency synthesizer is designed using techniques of swallow counter and passive 3rd loop filter. For improving characteristics of the loop, a LPF was added to the 2nd loop filter. So although the locking times are loosed, the spurious are reduced. The output power of transmitter is over 50mW, the spurious output is -40dB/30kHz at 5MHz offset and power control range is -20dB at 2.5V. The proposed specifications are considered in highly practical environment and the theoretical designs and the experiments are expressed as simply as possible in order to facilitate understanding. It stands to reason that the results of this study can be used to design the wider CDMA(25MHz Bandwidth) mobile communication systems.
Design and Fabrication of the Receiver Section for INMARSAT-C

A RF receiver section for INMARSAT-C external mounting unit was designed, fabricated and evaluated. Using a INA-03184, the high gain amplifier consists of matched amplifier type. Active bias circuitry can be used to provide temperature stability without requiring the large voltage drop or relatively high-dissipated power needed with a bias stabilization resistor. The bandpass filter was used to reduce a spurious level. As a result, the characteristics of the receiver section implemented here show 60 dB in gain, 44.83 dBc in a spurious level. The voltage standing wave ratios(VSWR)of input output port are less than 1.8:1, respectively.
A Study on the Channel Converting and Monitoring of the Remote Control Transceiver

Generally, transceiver is operated to the remote control for the purpose of breading the traffic zone which is established on a mountain peak, island and building top using private line. Therefor, the remote control system of public radio station have been the very important role that is decision the quality relate to the quickness, accuracy, safety of communication on old type transceiver of SSB, VHF etc. In the case of using the only 1 private line which is exchanged voice signal with data signal had mixed or interrupted for up/down of channel, PTT control and monitoring of transmission channel and power. The up/down of channel and PTT control is according to the ASK and the data of monitoring is transfered to the FSK modulation, additional algorithm is studied on the serial protocol and traffic sequence using the MCS-51 processor in the simplex communication methode.
The Design of Proxy for CORBA Traffic Monitoring Using OSI management technology

Traffic monitoring, a part of the system management, is a vital function lot the proper operation of a system in use. Currently OMG has been trying to standardize CORBA system management. Besides, many companies and research laboratories have been developing and studying CORBA system management. In this paper, we have designed the proxy to monitor the CORBA traffic using the OSI management technology. To manage CORBA traffic resources, 6 parameters have been made into managed objects. The monitoring system consists of a CORBA server, a proxy object and an MIB. The CORBA server is made up of a service provider, a proxy server, and a event sewer. The proxy object acts as a process of a CORBA object, and is made up of a proxy client, a event client, and an IPC server.
Optimal Fuzzy Controller Design Method using the Genetic Algorithm

In this paper proposes the optimal fuzzy controller design method using the genetic algorithm. Proposed method is that fuzzy rules and input - output scaling factors of the fuzzy controller are determined by using genetic algorithm that is very effectively in the optimization problem. The optimal fuzzy rules of servo system uses the fitness function which are the performance index in fuzzy controller. In order to verify excellent control performances of the proposed control method, we compare the control performance and characteristics about the proposed control method with a conventional fuzzy control method through a lot of simulations and experiments with one link manipulator.
Solving Inheritance Anomaly using State Abstraction in Concurrent Object Oriented Programming Languages

Inheritance and concurrency are the primary feature of object oriented languages, and are especially important for code re-use. They provide maximum computational power and modeling power through concurrency of objects. But, concurrent objects and inheritance have conflicting characteristics, thereby simultaneously use of them causes the problem, so called inheritance anomaly, which requires code redefinition of inherited methods to maintain integrity of objects. In this paper, to solve the inheritance anomaly problems we introduce concept of state abstraction, in which internal states of encapsulated objects are made available from a part of object's external interface. And we design inheritance interface mechanisms which methods are inherited efficiently. In our scheme, we can solve the typical inheritance anomaly problems.
Design of Fuzzy-Neural Network controller using Genetic Algorithm

In this paper, we propose the fuzzy-neural controller with genetic algorithm(GA) for precise on-line control. We design the proposed controller having a ability to adjust membership function for a plant by advanced algorithm of fuzzy-neural network after approximative one being completed by genetic algorithm. Finally we compare the result for a speed control of DC servo motor by the proposed controller with GA-fuzzy one in order to evaluate its performance and precision.
Classification and Tracking of Unknown Multiple Underwater Moving Objects Using Neural Networks

In this paper, we propose a multiple underwater object classification and tracking algorithm using the narrowband tonal and frequency line features extracted from the frequency spectrum of the acoustic signal. The general algorithm using the wideband and narrowband energy has a high tracking error when objects are close and cross each other. But the proposed algorithm shows a good tracking performance for the simulation scenarios generated by the real acoustic data.
Attitude Control of a Simulated Helicopter using a neural network

In this paper, we derive dynamic equation of a simulated helicopter and propose the control method base on a neural network to control its attitude. The coupling coefficients are adjusted to minimize the error between the output of a control system and the reference value. The gain of the proposed controller are automatically adjusted by the back propagation of a neural network. Simulation results using MATLAB are given in this paper.
Control of Systems Containing Deadzone of PID Controller using Fuzzy Compensator and Fuzzy Tuner

A conventional PID controller has poor performance when it applied to systems with unknown deadzones. To solve this problem, this paper proposes PID controller using two layered-fuzzy logic. The structure of controller is reconstructed with fuzzy compensator and fuzzy tuner on the conventional PID controller. Our proposed control scheme shows superior transient and steady-state performance compared to conventional PID controller. The scheme is robust to variations in deadzone nonlinearities as well as the steady-state gain of the plant. The performance of the developed controller is verified through simulation.
The Design of Electronic Payment Protocol Using Dual Signature based on Cardholder's Secret Number

The topic of electronic commerce is a hot issue in computer technology. There are many kinds of risks associated with electronic commerce which performs financial transactions by exchanging electronic information over public networks. Therefore, security factors such as confidentiality, integrity, authentication and non-repudiation should be required to construct secure electronic commerce systems. In this paper, the credit card-based payment protocol applying dual signature is presented. It provides payment information to the bank a cardholder pays to, but conceals ordering information. It also offers ordering information to a merchant, but hides payment information including the card number. Thus, cardholder's private information can be protected. In order to accomplish this, dual signature is performed employing both symmetric method utilizing cardholder's secret number as an encryption key and asymmetric method.
A Data Placement Method of NOD systems based on data types

NOD systems contain the data of multiple types such as text, image and video, and the size of NOD data depend on their data types. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a Data Placement Method based on Data Types(DPMDT), in which the data placement method depends on their type. Then, we analyze the performance of DPMDT with that of a Time Based Storage Management(TBSM) in which the data placement method depends on their created date, and that of Rate Based Storage Management(RBSM) in which the data placement method depends on their created date and accessed rate. In case of long playback of video news and a few disks(one disk), our results show that the performance of DPMDT is less efficient than that of TBSM and RBSM methods, however, in case of over 2 disks, the performance of DPMDT is more efficient than that of TBSM and RBSM methods.
Database Table Management and Input/output Design System on the Web

Today's Web tends to change from simple guideline to more complex information Provider based on large amount of data, enabling a better understanding of the objects. It provides various information retrieval techniques. Therefore, these data have to be stored and maintained in a database system for efficiency and consistency. But database system absolutely requires systematic and consistent management techniques. As a consequence, a high trained and well-educated person should do it. In this paper, we design and implement a tool for easy and reliable database table creation and management on the web. If users log in this system, they can get a list of tables created by themselves and will find a hyper link per each table. Futhermore, they can view and manage it's contents.
A Study on the Disk Type MHD Generator Using a Shock Tube

In MHD power generation system, enthalpy of the working gas is convened to electric power directly through expansion in generator channel. It means that electric power can be generated without a moving mechanical linkage such as turbine blades. The principle of MHD generation is based on Faraday'law of induction that eletromotive force(u
B) is generated when the working gas of velocity u flows a channel in which magnetic field of strength(B) exists. In this paper, helium gas seeded with cesium is used as working gas. There are two types of generator in MHD generation; linear type faraday and disk type hall generator. Rogowski coils having the bandwidth of the 100(Hz) ~ 20(kHz) were used for measuring current flowing MHD disk channel. Optimum load resistor value of the MHD generator studied was 2.5[
]. Disk type hall generator's generation performance is the main target of this paper, which superiors to linear type Faraday generator in many points. Isentropic efficiency and enthalpy extraction rate of disk type shock tube driven hall generator is discussed here.
A Study on the Development of an Engine Monitoring System for Small Vessel Using CSMA/CD

This study is on the development of an engine monitoring system which can be applied not only for mid-size vessels but also small vessels less than 20 gross tonnage. Monitoring system consists of a set LMU(Local Monitoring Unit) that collect data from local machinery, a host computer that controls LMU and a stable communication system which adopts CSMA/CD protocol. The LMU is composed of 80C196KC microprocessor, which consists of CPU, digital input/output, analog input/output and communication module. Communication system between the host computer(compatible IBM PC) and LMUs is the multidrop configuration using RS-485 method and confirmed high performance communication by the aid of polling method as well as carrier sense multiple access with collision detection(CSMA/CD) protocol.
Design of Drive System for Electric Vehicle

This paper presents a design method of driving system for EV(Electric Vehicle). EV driving system consist of batteries, battery interface system and inverter. The power control circuit of the driving system is simple, since only one PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) inverter is used. These test spectrums and waveforms can be used to determine the filter component ratings as well as to compute the harmonics injected into the source. The hybrid control strategy which can reduced harmonic components. The analysis results indicate that the required capacity of the condenser can be reduced with LC filter. In this paper, the design and implementation of the proposed systems are described and some experimental results are given to show the performance of this driving system. The control strategy of the system to available inverter's power and motor's power and torque is discussed.
