A Study on Image Restoration using Mean and Wiener Filter

Image is degraded by several causes such as the process of acquisition, storage and transmission. To restore those images, many researches have been continued. Centrally methods to restore degraded image by AWGN(additive white gaussian noise) a.e mean filter and wiener filter. Especially, mean filter is superior in noise reduction of area that is a small change of luminosity. But mean filter brings about the effect smoothing edge components of the image, because it does'nt consider characteristics of the image. So in this paper we propose an image restoration method compounding respective images adding established weights, after filtering with mean filter and powerful wiener filter in both improvement of contrast and preservation of edge components.
A Study on the Cut Detection System of Video Data using MSE

The development of computer technology and the advancement of the technology of information and communications spread the technology of multimedia and increased the use of multimedia data with large capacity. Users can grasp the overall video data and they are able to play wanted video back. To grasp the overall video data it is necessary to offer the list of summarized video data information. In order to search video efficiently an index process of video data is essential and it is also indispensable skill. Therefore, this thesis suggested the effective method about the cut detection of frames which will become a basis of an index based on contents of video image data. This suggested method was detected as the unchanging pixel rotor intelligence value, classified into diagonal direction. Pixel value of color detected in each frame of video data is stored as A(i, i) matrix - i is the number of frames, i is an image height of frame. By using the stored pixel value as the method of UE(Mean Square Error) I calculated a specified value difference between frames and detected cut quickly and exactly in case it is bigger than threshold value set in advance. To carry out an experiment on the cut detection of lames comprehensively, 1 experimented on many kinds of video, analyzing and comparing efficiency of the cut detection system.
A study on the Improvement of Performance for H.264/AVC Encoder

RDC is calculated with motion strength which is the mean value of neighbor pixels of each sub block. The sub block range decision reduces encoding arithmetic amount by 34.62% on the average more than the case not using block range decision. The block mode decision using motion strength shows improvement of PSNR of 0.05[dB].
Chaotic Behaviour Analysis for Chaotic Mobile Robot

In this paper, we propose that the chaotic behavior analysis in the chaotic mobile robot embedding Arnold, equation, Chua's equation and hyper-chaos equation. In order to analysis of chaotic behavior in the mobile robot, we apply not only qualitative analysis such as time-series, embedding phase plane, but also quantitative analysis such as Lyapunov exponent in the mobile robot with obstacle.
A Study on Trot Walking for Quadruped Walking Robot

A legged robot is friendly to human because it is resemble to human. And the robot can obtain support points freely because it has high degree of freedom for several joint as compared with a wheeled robot. Also the robot can create the relative position at desired position between support position and robot. The joint of robot cu used as manipulator. On the contrary the mechanism of robot is complicated to have many joint and moving speed is lower than wheeled robot. Also the legged robot is needed a special control not to fall on the ground because the robot is easy to vibrate when it is moving. The 4 leg structure is the minimum leg numbers not to fall and to realize safety gait continuously. A trot gait is investigated through experiments using a quadruped walking robot named TITAN-VIII.
A Design of CMOS Signal Processing Adaptive Filter for DSL Modem

In this paper, CMOS analog filters for use in the Analog front End of digital subscriber loop(DSL) chip set are proposed. Designed filters contain receiver continuous-time filters which are composed of lowpass and highpass functions. And their cutoff frequency are 138H1z and 1.1MHz respectively. A low-voltage gm-c integrator is improved and used to design filters. Desisned filters are verified by HSPICE simulation with the 0.25
CMOS n-well parameter.
A Fully-integrated High Performance Broadb and Amplifier MMIC for K/Ka Band Applications

In this work, high performance broadband amplifier MMIC including all the matching and biasing components, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit was developed for K/Ka band applications. Therefore, external biasing or matching components were not required for the operation of the MMIC. STO (SrTiO3) capacitors were employed to integrate the DC biasing components on the MMIC, and miniaturized LC parallel ESD protection circuit was integrated on MMIC, which increased ESD breakdown voltage from 10 to 300 V. A pre-matching technique and RC parallel circuit were used for the broadband design of the amplifier MMIC. oxide semiconductor and their application to gas sensors

Abnormal current-voltage characteristics of an oxide semiconductor have been investigated and a novel method of detecting reducing gases utilizing self-heating mechanism of sensing layer without an additional heater has been developed. Planar-type sensors based on WO3-doped SnO2 were fabricated using a screen-printing technique. The applied voltage across the sensing layer caused heating of the sensing layer and the current abruptly varied upon exposure to a gas mostly as a result of surface reactions. A unique and fascinating aspect of the gas sensing scheme is that no additional heater is necessary for detection. The new sensing method has been applied to C2H5OH gas in this preliminary work.
A 500MSamples/s 6-Bit CMOS Folding and Interpolating AD Converter

In this paper, a 6-Bit CMOS Folding and Interpolating AD Converter is presented. The converter is considered to be useful as an integrated part of a VLSI circuit handling both analog and digital signals as in the case of HDD or LAN applications. A built-in analog circuit for VLSI of a high-speed data communication requires a small chip area, low power consumption, and fast data processing. The proposed folding and interpolating AD Converter uses a very small number of comparators and interpolation resistors, which is achieved by cascading a couple of folders working in different principles. This reduced number of parts is a big advantage for a built-in AD converter design. The design is based on 0.25m double-poly 2 metal n-well CMOS process. In the simulation, with the applied 2.5V and a sampling frequency of 500MHz, the measurements are as follows: power consumption of 27mw, INL and DNL of
0.15LSB each, SNDR of 42dB with an input signal of 10MHz.
The Characteristic Improvement of Photodiode by Schottky Contact

In this paper, a photodiode capable of obtaining a sufficient photo/ dark current ratio at both a forward bias state and a reverse bias state is proposed. The photodiode includes a glass substrate, an Cr thin film formed as a lower electrode over the glass substrate, Cr silicide thin film(∼l00
) ) formed as a schottky barrier over the Cr thin film, a hydrogenated amorphous silicon film formed as a photo conduction layer over a portion of the Cr silicide thin film. Transparent conduction film ITO (thickness 100nm) formed as an upper electrode over the hydro-generated amorphous silicon film is then deposited in pure argon at room temperature for the Schottky contact and light window. The high quality Cr silicide thin film using annealing of Cr and a-Si:H is formed and analyzed by experiment. We have obtained the film with a superior characteristics. The dark current of the ITO/a-Si:H Schottky at a reverse bias of -5V is ∼3
IO-12 A/un2, and one of the lowest reported, hitherto. AES(Auger Electron Spectroscophy) measurements indicate that this notable improvement in device characteristics stems from reduced diffusion of oxygen, rather than indium, from the ITO into the a-Si:H layer, thus, preserving the integrity of the Schottky interface. The spectral response of the photodiode for wavelengths in the range from 400nm to 800nm shows the expected behavior whereby the photocurrent is governed by the absorption characteristics of a-Si:H.
Image segmentation Using Hybrid Level Set

The conventional image segmentation method using level set has been disadvantage since level set function in the gradient-based model evolves depending on the local profile of the edge. In this paper, a new model is introduced by hybridizing level set formulation and complementary smooth function in order to smooth the driving force. We consider an alternative way of getting the complementary function(CF) which is much easier to simulate and makes sense for most cases having no triple junctions. The rule of thumb is that CF must be computed such that the difference between their average and the original CF function should be able to introduce a reliable driving force for the evolution of the level set function. This proposed hybrid method tries to minimize drawbacks the conventional level set method.
A Gray Image to Pseudocoloring Conversion and Enhancement Using FWT and CIT

The color conversion and color enhancement on gray image is presented in this paper. The pseudocoloring for RCB color components extraction from gray image is used the 2D U(Fast Wavelet Transform) for fille. bank and re-array. The each post processing is used the median filtering for noise reduction and the discrete color histogram equalization for CIT(Color Intensity Transformation). The experiment result has enhanced pseudocoloring image as PSNR 30dB over compared the processing of normal wavelet transform.
A Wavelet-based Image Watermarking Scheme

A wavelet-based image watermarking scheme is proposed, based on the insertion of pseudo-random codes in the frequency domain. The original image is required for the watermark detection. The 'strength' of the signature to be embedded depends on the image to be marked, thus fitting signal capacity. The experimental results prove that the method is more tamper resistant and less perceptible for any type of images than other well-known private methods in the frequency domains.
Feature Extraction on High Dimensional Data Using Incremental PCA

High dimensional data requires efficient feature extraction techliques. Though PCA(Principal Component Analysis) is a famous feature extraction method it requires huge memory space and computational cost is high. In this paper we use incremental PCA for feature extraction on high dimensional data. Through experiment we show that proposed method is superior to APEX model.
Dynamic Gesture Recognition for the Remote Camera Robot Control

This study is proposed the novel gesture recognition method for the remote camera robot control. To recognize the dynamics gesture, the preprocessing step is the image segmentation. The conventional methods for the effectively object segmentation has need a lot of the cole. information about the object(hand) image. And these methods in the recognition step have need a lot of the features with the each object. To improve the problems of the conventional methods, this study proposed the novel method to recognize the dynamic hand gesture such as the MMS(Max-Min Search) method to segment the object image, MSM(Mean Space Mapping) method and COG(Conte. Of Gravity) method to extract the features of image, and the structure of recognition MLPNN(Multi Layer Perceptron Neural Network) to recognize the dynamic gestures. In the results of experiment, the recognition rate of the proposed method appeared more than 90[%], and this result is shown that is available by HCI(Human Computer Interface) device for .emote robot control.
Digital Color Image Watermarking for HVS(Human Visual System) using Daubechies wavelet

The digital signal has been replaced the analog signal in most of every field of multimedia including still image, animation, and audio due to the enormous extension of computer supply and the fast development of computer network. The consumers of information are able to enjoy the abundance of information because of one of the digital signal traits that very easy to regenerate the original data. Because of the trait, however, it is very hard for the producers of information to keep the copyright with the merit of original copy in quality excellency. In this paper, the watermarking technology which inserts a RGB color watermark in color image using the visual characteristics of wavelet coefficient was proposed. As a result, the PSNR value of image was varied depending on perceptual parameter, but we can obtain 32dB as a whole.
Puzzle Model and Application for Flooding of Service Tolerance of Security Server System

Today's Commercial security server system which provide secrecy, integrity and availability may still be vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks. Authentication system whith use a public key cryptography and process RSA encryption is relatively slow and the slowness has become a major security threat specifically in service flooding attacks caused by authentication requests. The service flooding attacks render the server incapable of providing its service to legitimitive clients. Therefore the importance of implementing systems that prevent denial of service attacks and provide service to legitimitive users cannot be overemphasized. In this paper, we propose a puzzle protocol which applies to authentication model. our gradually strengthening authentication model improves the availability and continuity of services and prevent denial of service attacks and we implement flooding of service tolerance system to verify the efficiency of our model. This system is expected to be ensure in the promotion of reliability.
Authentication System Construction in a high-speed IP Infrastructure using Spam Sever

The authentication system of high-speed internet in IP-infra is not warm enough to administration of systematic authentication information for user's legalization, connection right and resources allocation in order to both methods of authentication-unauthentication connection system according to transmission method . Also unauthentication connection raises a difficulty condition to user's needs satisfaction in order to a load weighting of system and network and a drop of transmission speed. Accordingly, this study brings forth authentication system construction in a high-speed IP infrastructure using spam sever able to construct the suitable network condition according to unifying authentication-unauthentication system for single authentication system.
Design of RS Encoder/Decoder using Modified Euclid algorithm

The error control of digital transmission system is a very important subject because of the noise effects, which is very sensitive to transmission performance of the digital communication system It employs a modified Euclid's algorithm to compute the error-location polynomial and error-magnitude polynomial of input data. The circuit size is reduced by selecting the Modified Euclid's Algorithm with one Euclid Cell of mutual operation. And the operation speed of Decoder is improved by using ROM and parallel structure. The proposed Encoder and Decoder are simulated with ModelSim and Active-HDL and synthesized with Synopsys. We can see that this chip is implemented on Xilinx Virtex2 XC2V3000. A share of slice is 28%. nut speed of this paper is 45Mhz

Design of an Advanced Kerbros P2P Authentication System to Share Digital Content

In the paper, an algorithm fitted to P2P system was proposed by improving Kerberos which is an algorithm for mutual authentication. To keep the role of Kerberos and minimize load to server, the proposed algorithm imposed the server role of ticket recognition to the opposite peer. Using this method, the number of sewers as ticket recognition server was averted and function of server for authentication was minimized so that server load was mininized. The proposed algorithm enables the server to play the minimum of the role and to perform strong mutual authentication, while imposeing on the peers the role of authentication. To make suitable to P2P system, trial number oriented authentication limit was given, not time-oriented authentication expiration time. In the paper, a new P2P system was designed using this algorithm.
A high speed processing method of web server cluster through round robin load balancing

This study analyzes a load balancing technique using Round Robin Algorithm. The study uses two software packages (Packet Capture and Round Robin Test Package) to check packet volume from Virtual Network structure (data generator, virtual server, Server1,2,3), and finds out traffic distribution toward Server1,2 and 3. The functions of implemented Round Robin Load Balancing Monitoring System include round robin testing, system monitoring, and graphical indication of data transmission and packet volume. As the result of the study shows, Round Robin Algorithm allows servers to ensure definite traffic distribution, unless incoming data loads differ much. Although error levels are high in some cases, they were eventually alleviated by repeated tests for a long period of time.
A Study on the Elasticity Measurement of Fabric Using Loadcell

So far, the quantified elasticity data of textile fabrics has not been present because the measurement method depends on the knowledge of measurement operators. In this paper, the special manufactured measurement equipment using road cell is presented to measure the elasticity coefficient of textile fabrics in real time. The measurement method is based on the voltage differency among textile fabrics. The textiles with strong elasticity are high voltage produced from road cell. The others are low. The presented method can be applied to visualize the textile, sew the cloth, control quality of textile fabrics. Also, these measurement datum are used to B2B electronic trading system.
A Design and Implementation of a Network-type Electronic Payment System Optimized for Digital Goods

As the Internet continues to transform the commerce, the method of payment is one of critical components to conduct successful business across the internet. An electronic cash has all characteristics of traditional commodity cash and ensures security for all transactions. Accordingly an internet billing system based electronic cash is expected as the secure and efficient payment method in future electronic commerce. Digital Contents such as digital goods and services have the special characteristic that both the delivery of the goods and the transfer of money ran be accomplished on the same network. This allows the optimizations in the design of an electronic commerce system. In this paper, we propose an electronic payment protocol which is especially designed to purchase digital contents through internet. The proposed protocol guarantees anonymity by using a virtual ID, and minimizes payment processing steps.
Implementation of an efficient Pocket PC- based Hangul Matching System

Electronic Ink is a stored data in the form of the handwritten text or the script without converting it into ASCII by handwritten recognition on the pen-based computers and Personal Digital Assistants(Pocket PC) for supporting natural and convenient data input. One of the most important issues is to search the electronic ink in order to use it. We proposed and implemented a script matching algorithm for the electronic ink. Proposed matching algorithm separated the input stroke into a set of primitive stroke using the curvature of the stroke curve. After determining the type of separated strokes, it produced a stroke feature vector. And then it calculated the distance between the stroke feature vector of input strokes and one of strokes in the database using the dynamic programming technique.
Real-time processing system for embedded hardware genetic algorithm

A real-time processing system for embedded hardware genetic algorithm is suggested. In order to operate basic module of genetic algorithm in parallel, such as selection, crossover, mutation and evaluation, dual processors based architecture is implemented. The system consists of two Xscale processors and two FPGA with evolvable hardware, which enables to process genetic algorithm efficiently by distributing the computational load of hardware genetic algorithm to each processors equally. The hardware genetic algorithm runs on Linux OS and the resulted chromosome is executed on evolvable hardware in FPGA. Furthermore, the suggested architecture can be extended easily for a couple of connected processors in serial, making it accelerate to compute a real-time hardware genetic algorithm. To investigate the effect of proposed approach, performance comparisons is experimented for an typical computation of genetic algorithm.
Design of Active Antenna for 5.5GHz Local Wireless Communication System

This paper shows the design of Active antenna which appled to 5.5GHz RF module for local wireless communication system. The LNA, which was designed Super low noise HJ FET of NE3210S01, is used to obtain a good noise figure characteristics. And the microstrip patch antenna was designed to obtain omnidirectional antenna characteristics. The measured LNA gain is 15 dB, input & output return loss is under -20 dB and VSWR under 1.5. The Single microstrip patch antenna input return loss is under -29 45, VSWR under 1.2.

Development of optical transmission module for VCSEL

The recent trend of information communication is to focus on improving communication services in order to satisfy the customer's desire for various information. Optical transducers of Local Area Network use 850nm or 1310nm among wavelength ranges and LD as a light source. However, Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser(VCSEL) which is very excellent to deal with data processing is used at long wavelength or Gbps. In this paper, We have proposed an Heterodyne technique to generate millimeter-wave signal. Microwave signals in cellular broadband mobile communication networks and distributed networks can favorably be generated and distributed by optical techniques. In principle, these techniques have already been investigated for optical control of phase-array antennas, characterization of photo-detector and phase locking of millimeter-wave oscillators and now being applied to wireless communications. The generation and transmission of millimeter-wave radio signals by optical means is of interest for future pico-cell broadband mobile communication system, especially for systems operating at frequencies of 300Hz.
Design and Implementation of Thin Client SVG Map Service System for LBS

Recently, many WMS(Web Mapping Services) and POI(Point of Interest) service on to be in service on the Internet using Web CIS(Geographic Information System) as information Technology and computer HW are evolved faster in its speed, network bandwidth and features. The Web GIS is, however, limited and constrained on the specification of its system configuration, the service class provided and the presentation methodology of a map. As the mobile Internet becomes popular in mobile service, Web GIS service on mobile environment is strongly required and to be provided by LBS(Location Based Service) on a mobile client such as PDA with location information of the user. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web mapping service. For implementing the thin client GIS computing environment, we were using NGII's(National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF map, representing the map by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium), and adapting standard XML web service to provide the thin client GIS service on PDA by applying the location information of the user in realtime with GPS on mobile environment.
A Test Frameworks and Simulation for Web Services Interoperability

Recently many corporations are introducing web services which supports mutual smooth information exchange without depending on platform or programming language and new distributed computing environment based on U standard technology and internet standard protocol such as HTTP. However they are suffering difficulty in interoperability because of the problem of version inconsistency of standards supported by platforms that each vender offers. To solve these interoperability problem, although WS-I is progressing a consecutive standardization work by method of that offer Basic Profile and Usage Scenario, it is in the state that the domestic research connected with this is not sufficient yet. Accordingly, this treatise constructed interoperability Test framework by developing web services on the basis of different platform from books information retrieval services that can easily be come with and simulated and verified the interoperability by applying WS-I Basic Profile.
A Transformation of XML DTD to Relational Database Schema Using Functional Dependency

We have to convert XML DTD into relational database schema for storing XML Document at relational database. Hybrid inlining algorithm are used for converting XML DTD to relational database schema. But this method have some problem. That is the relational database schema have N:N relationship are created according this method are not satisfied with third normal from. Therefore, We proposed Extended Hybrid inlining algorithm for solving this problem in this paper.
