Performance Analysis of FH MC/DS CDMA Stystem with Multi-tone Jamming over Nakakgami Fading Channel

In this paper, it was estimated the BER performance of the individual system type by applying the SFH type and the FFH type to the FH MC-DS CDMA system that combined the strong points of MC DS/CDMA and that of Frequency Mewing under the Nakagami fading channel with Multi-tone Jamming. An increase in the number of hoppings means that it can improve theBER performance by reducing the receiving burden of the FH MC DS/CDMA by achieving a frequency diversity effect. Therefore, I verified that the performances of the FH MC DS/CBMA system could be impoved by increasing the number of hoppings.

Improved Orthogonal Projection Method for Cancelling Acoustic Echo Signals

This paper proposes the improved orthogonal projection method as a new technique advancing the performance of the echo cancellation for speeches in the acoustic echo canceller. Comparing with the used NLMS adaptive algorithm, it shows that this method improves the performance of the echo cancellation for signals with the large auto-correlation. In order to testify performances of the orthogonal projection method whom this paper proposes, we have coded a simulation program and executed computer simulations. We observed convergence curves by using two adaptive algorithm for noises and speeches. From simulation results for two input signals, the proposed method shows the high ERLE and the fast convergence and the stable operation in case of using speeches as well as noises.
A Design of Data Model for Electronic Tag Information Processing in Logistics Distribution Service Parts

As computing paradigm of the next generation, Ubiquitous Computing has emerged owing to growing of the Internet and computer networking technologies, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) which is the core technology to achieve(realize,actualize) the Ubiquitous Computing environment, is being noticed. MIT's Auto-ID Center has proposed PML(Physical Markup Language) which is based on XML (Extensible Markup Language), is a standard language for describing physical objects, in order to interchange of data between each of these RFID application systems. The PML defines only core parts to describe physical objects, but on the other hand the other parts to be needed in practical application have to be defined with extended definitions separately. In this paper, therefore, the object information data model was designed, which defines the type of the object in order. to process electronic tag information in the RFID application service based on PML Core of Auto-ID Center and is applicable to the distribution service parts.

Performance Evaluation of SFBC and STBC Antenna Diversity OFDM Systems

OFDM is a digital modulation technique where a single data symbol is transmitted at multiple subcarriers which are orthogonal to each other. With this technique, frequency diversity can be achieved. The performance of OFDM systems with SFBC and STBC antenna diversity are analyzed, where data is transmitted over time and frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. The performance of this technique, gauged by the average bit error rate, is analyzed for the OFDM systems.
Deficiencies of the GMDSS Distress Communication System and Methods to Improve

The distress communication system in the maritime mobile service had almost depended on the wireless telephony or telegraphy technique. The GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) which was introduced in 1992 brought a lot of changes in the maritime distress communication service such as the automatic transmission of distress signals and implementation of global search and rescue networks. However, there are some deficiencies in the GMDSS distress communication system such as a lack of compatibility in the maritime distress communication between CMDSS ships and Non-GMDSS ships, increasing deceptive or false distress alerts generated by GMDSS installations, lack of understanding about the CMDSS installations for the operators. In this paper, the problems of distress communication system in the maritime mobile service are analyzed and the methods to solve or minimize these problems are suggested.

FPGA Design of Adaptive Digital Receiver for Wireless Identification

In this paper we propose and implement a digital part of a receiver system for identifying a moving object and its tracking position in wireless environment. We assumed UWB(Ultra Wide Band)-based communication system for target application and used serial communication method(RS-232). The proposed digital receiver consists of RS-232-type1/RS-232-type2 for input and output of serial communication, ID Detector for detecting IDs, and PISO&Buffer circuit to buffer input signals for appropriate operation of ID Detector. We implemented the digital receiver with minimal hardware(H/W) resource according to target application of UWB-based communication system. So it correlates input patterns with pre-stored patterns though repeated detecting method for multiple IDs. Since it has reference panerns in the Ve-stored form, it can detect various IDs instantly. Also we can program content and size of reference patterns considering compatibility with other systems .The implemented H/W was mapped into XC2S100PQ208-5 FPGA of Xilinx, occupied 727(
) cells, and stably operated in the clock frequency of 75MHz(13.341ns).
Performance analysis of campus wireless LAN in outdoor environment

Design of Fax Service System based on Internet for Land and Sea

Currently, the communication between land and sea using Inmarsat terminal can communicate telephone, telex, fax, e-mail, data transmission. The exist e-mail program between land and sea has developed to reduce communication fee because of high satellite communication coast and low speed. In case of fax service has defect of paper, out-time, high cost. In this paper, we describes the design of fax service system based on Internet for land and sea. A Cell Plan Study for Local Wireless Construction in a New Demand Area

A Study of Protocol comparison Analysis for MPLS Traffic Engineering

To support abruptly increasing data traffic in these days, network management is needed. And also to maintain the steady infra, there is MPLS need which can support traffic engineering. It's necessary that MPLS doesn't only manage network to support recently booming data traffic, but has capacity to support traffic engineering to keep static infrastructure. Traffic engineering, method that a large-scale user shifts traffic to the beforehand designated routes that pass through specific nodes on network, is operation that is mapping traffic flow to the physical network topology. In this paper, we supplement the defect of the traditional RSVP traffic engineering and to construct far more steady infra, we suggest the way of its development of ERSVP signaling protocol.

Path Planning and Tracking for Mobile Robots Using An Improved Distance Transform Algorithm

In this paper, path planning and tracking problems are mentioned to guarantee efficient and safe navigation of autonomous mobile robots. We focus on the path planning and also deal with the path tracking and obstacle avoidance. We improved the conventional distance transform (DT) algorithm for the path planning. Using the improved DT algorithm, we obtain paths with shorter distances compared to the conventional DT algorithm. In the stage of the Path tracking, we employ the fuzzy logic controller to conduct the path tracking behavior and obstacle avoidance behavior. Through computer simulation studies, we show the effectiveness of the Nosed navigational algorithm for autonomous mobile robots.
Development of a Lighting Control Switch Using Power Line Communication Technology

Lighting control switches based on the power line communication technology are developed and extended to incorporate dimming control to provide energy saving and appropriate illumination. The developed switch uses a general purpose microprocessor and associated electronics. Both the power line communication and the dimming function are implemented in one microprocessor, and it enables the low price commercialization. The frequency of the carrier was set at 250kHz considering the transmission data length and signal attenuation in power lines. Tests on prototypes in an low-voltage power lines have shown that the switches have a robust operation characteristics with the length of power lines and the variation of load capacities.
A Design of AES-based CCMP Core for IEEE 802.11i Wireless LAN Security

This paper describes a design of AES(Advanced Encryption Standard)-based CCMP core for IEEE 802.1li wireless LAN security. To maximize its performance, two AES cores ate used, one is for counter mode for data confidentiality and the other is for CBC(Cipher Block Chaining) mode for authentication and data integrity. The S-box that requires the largest hardware in AES core is implemented using composite field arithmetic, and the gate count is reduced by about
compared with conventional LUT(Lookup Table)-based design. The CCMP core designed in Verilog-HDL has 13,360 gates, and the estimated throughput is about 168 Mbps at 54-MHz clock frequency. The functionality of the CCMP core is verified by Excalibur SoC implementation.
A Study on the Subthreshold Swing for Double Gate MOSFET

An analytical subthreshold swing (SS) model has been presented for double gate MOSFET(DGMOSFET) in this study. The results calculated by this model are more precise for about 10nm channel length and thickness than those derived from the previous models. The results of this model are compared with Medici simulation to varify the validity of this model, and good agreementes have been obtained. The changes of SS have been investigated for various channel lengths, channel thicknesses and gate oxide thicknesses using this model, given that these parameters are very important in design of DGMOSFET. This demonstrates that the proposed model provides useful data for design of nano-scale DGMOSFET. It is Known that the SS is improved to smaller ratios of channel thickness vs channel length and is smaller in very thin oxides. New gate dielectric materials with high permittivity have to be developed to enable design of nano-scale DGMOSFET.
Analyses of Encryption Method for Chaos Communication Using Optical Injection Locked Semiconductor Lasers

We theoretically studied synchronization of chaotic oscillation in semiconductor lasers with chaotic light injection feed-back induced chaotic light generated from a master semiconductor laser was injected into a solitary slave semiconductor laser. The slave laser subsequently exhibited synchronized chaotic output for a wide parameter range with strong injection and frequency detuning within the injection locking scheme. An Efficient Execution of Non-Horn Logic Programs

Non-Horn logic programs are extended from Horn logic programs to the level of 1st order predicate logic. Even though they are more expressive than Horn logic programs, They are not practically used because we do not have efficient implementations. Currently to execute non-Horn logic programs, we translate them to equivalent Horn logic programs using the proof procedure InH-Prolog and compile the Horn logic programs to WAM(Warren Abstract Machine) instructions. In this paper, we propose EWAM(Extended Warren Machine) that executes non-Horn logic programs more efficiently and a compilation scheme that compiles non-Horn logic programs to the EWAM instruction. We implement an EWAM emulator and a compiler and measured the performance of the EWAM emulator and the compiler and found that they are very efficient.

And supplemented security of ESM system itself. Meteorological Information for Red Tide : Technical Development of Red Tide Prediction in the Korean Coastal Areas by eteorological Factors

Red tide(harmful algae) in the Korean Coastal Waters has a given a given damage to the fishery every year. However, the aim of our study understands the influence of meteorological factors (air and water temperature, precipitation sunshine, solar radiation, winds) relating to the mechanism of red tide occurrence and monitors red tide by satellite remote sensing, and analyzes the potential area for red tide occurrence by GIS. The meteorological factors have directly influenced on red tide formation. Thus, We want to predict and apply to red tide formation from statistical analyses on the relationships between red tide formation and meteorological factors. In future, it should be realized the near real time monitoring for red tide by the development of remote sensing technique and the construction of integrated model by the red tide information management system (the data base of red tide - meteorological informations. Finally our purpose is support to the prediction information for the possible red tide occurrence by coastal meteorological information and contribute to reduce the red tide disaster by the prediction technique for red tide.

The latest Global Positioning System, wireless communications technology and Location-Based Service bring about the rapid developments of telematics application areas. In the moving object database for telematics, it is very important to deal with database queries related to the real time current positions of a moving objects and the valid tine of the query results as well. In this paper, we propose how to get not only the current result of query but also the valid time and the result after the valid time when a query point and objects are moving simultaneously. We would like to predict the valid time by formula because the current results will be incorrect due to the characteristic of the continuous movements of the moving objects and the future results can not be calculated by iterative computations.
Development of Theme Park Management Automation System Using RFID

Theme park automation system is developed by using the RFID sensor reader, IIS web server, ASP.NET and MSSQL database in this paper. Management Strategy of Hotspot Temporal Data using Minimum Overlap

We propose a strategy to manage temporal data which are occurred on scientific applications. Firstly, We define LB and RB to separate temporal data, and entity versions to be stored in past, current, future segments. Also, We describe an algorithm to migrate temporal data with hotspot distribution among segments. The performance evaluation of average response time and space utilization is conducted. Average response time between two methods is similar, and space is saved in proposed method.
ART1-based Fuzzy Supervised Learning Algorithm

Error backpropagation algorithm of multilayer perceptron may result in local-minima because of the insufficient nodes in the hidden layer, inadequate momentum set-up, and initial weights. In this paper, we proposed the ART-1 based fuzzy supervised learning algorithm which is composed of ART-1 and fuzzy single layer supervised learning algorithm. The Proposed fuzzy supervised learning algorithm using self-generation method applied not only ART-1 to creation of nodes from the input layer to the hidden layer, but also the winer-take-all method, modifying stored patterns according to specific patterns. to adjustment of weights. We have applied the proposed learning method to the problem of recognizing a resident registration number in resident cards. Our experimental result showed that the possibility of local-minima was decreased and the teaming speed and the paralysis were improved more than the conventional error backpropagation algorithm.
Implementation of Advanced Dynamic Signature Verification System

Dynamic (On-line) signature verification system consists of preprocessing, feature extraction, comparison and decision process for internal processing, and registration and verification windows for the user interface. We describe an implementation and design for an advanced dynamic signature verification system. Also, we suggest the method of feature extraction, matching algorithm, efficient user interface and an objective criteria for evaluating the performance.
A Study on Face Image Recognition Using Feature Vectors

Face Recognition has been an active research area because it is not difficult to acquire face image data and it is applicable in wide range area in real world. Due to the high dimensionality of a face image space, however, it is not easy to process the face images. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the dimension of the facial data and extract the features from them. It will be solved using the method which extracts the features from holistic face images. The proposed algorithm consists of two parts. The first is the using of principal component analysis (PCA) to transform three dimensional color facial images to one dimensional gray facial images. The second is integrated linear discriminant analusis (PCA+LDA) to prevent the loss of informations in case of performing separated steps. Integrated LDA is integrated algorithm of PCA for reduction of dimension and LDA for discrimination of facial vectors. First, in case of transformation from color image to gray image, PCA(Principal Component Analysis) is performed to enhance the image contrast to raise the recognition rate. Second, integrated LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis) combines the two steps, namely PCA for dimensionality reduction and LDA for discrimination. It makes possible to describe concise algorithm expression and to prevent the information loss in separate steps. To validate the proposed method, the algorithm is implemented and tested on well controlled face databases
