Performance Improvement of Continuous Digits Speech Recognition using the Transformed Successive State Splitting and Demi-syllable pair

This paper describes an optimization of a language model and an acoustic model that improve the ability of speech recognition with Korean nit digit. Recognition errors of the language model are decreasing by analysis of the grammatical feature of korean unit digits, and then is made up of fsn-node with a disyllable. Acoustic model make use of demi-syllable pair to decrease recognition errors by inaccuracy division of a phone, a syllable because of a monosyllable, a short pronunciation and an articulation. we have used the k-means clustering algorithm with the transformed successive state splining in feature level for the efficient modelling of the feature of recognition unit . As a result of experimentations,
recognition rate is raised in the case of the proposed language model. The demi-syllable pair with an acoustic model increased
recognition rate and
recognition rate is improved in transformed successive state splitting.
Port Information System For Port Authority

Is there my relationship between a port information system and a port type? This paper aims to define its relationship through a study on the port types of advanced countries and their information systems. In terms of port ownership and its governing body, the port type can be divided into 4 types: state-run, public corporation, local government-run, and private ownership. According to the port type, the major activities of ports are different. In the case of a state-run and local government-run port, they put emphasis on the function of administration, but a public corporation and private ownership stress the importance of customer services. The study results of the mutual relationship of a port type and an information system show that the state-run and local government-run ports have a good administration-oriented system, and public corporation and privatized ports have an excellent customer-oriented community system and e-business system. The differences in the information system by port type provide an important suggestion to the improvement of information system of Busan Port Authority. As Busan port has been transformed from a state-run type to a public corporation, a new port information system has to be followed. Accordingly, this study has suggested a three-stage development plan: The first is a mirroring stage of stabilizing the port management, the second is a cooperation stage of enhancing customer services through the establishment of a community system, and the third is an e-business stage of developing a profit system in order to create value added.
Performance Evaluation of High-performance MIMO-OFDM System using Carrier Interferometry Codes in Frequency Selective Fading Channels

MIMO system takes advantage of the spatial diversity obtained by spatially separated antennas for high- performance and high-capacity broadband wireless access. In this paper, we propose Carrier Interferometry coded MIMO-OFDM system (MIMO-CI/OFDM) which provides frequency and spatial diversity. One combined diversity gains featly improve the performance of OFDM systems. To perform a performance analysis, we have used SPW platform that provides an easy tool to analyze the performance. The results show that the performance of MIMO-CI/OFDM shows an approximately 4dB gain over the MIMO-OFDM even in highly frequency selective fading channels.
A Suitable Cell Search Algorithm Using Separated I/Q Channel Cell Specific Scrambling Codes for Systems with Coexisting Cellular and Hot-Spot Cells in Broadband OFCDM Systems

For systems with coexisting cellular and hot-spot cells in broadband orhogonal frequency and code division multiplexing (OFCDM) systems, a suitable cell search algorithm is proposed fur the common pilot channel (CPICH) in the forward link using separated I/Q channel cell specific codes(CSSC), in which the cellular cell specific scrambling code (CCSSC) is assigned to the in-phase (Q) pilot channel of all cellular cells, and the exclusive hot-spot cell specific scrambling code (HSCSSC) group is assigned to the quadrature (Q) pilot channel of all hot-spot cells. Therefore, the proposed algorithm enables a mobile station (MS) to search quickly for the most desirable hot-spot cell due to reducing the effect of CCSSC, when a MS wants to use a mobile internet. The computer simulation results show that the proposed cell search algorithm can achieve faster cell search time performance, compared to conventional cell search methods
Performance Analysis of the M-PPAM DS-UWB Communication systems

This paper introduces M-PPAM(M-ary Pulse Position and Amplitude Modulation) architecture, combined PPM(Pulse Position Modulation) with PAM(Pulse Amplitude Modulation). Since M-PPAM can transmit several bits using one pulse, it is mon effective than PPM or PAM. Also, to obtain the same data transmission rate with PPM or PAM, M-PPAM can use a long pulse repetition period. This method will be able to use in the multi-path fading environment such as indoor condition. To accomodate multiple users, direct sequence technique is used. This paper has provided the modeling method of the M-PPAM DS-UWB receiver covering multi-user interference(MUI) with the Standard Gaussian Approximation under Gaussian channel. The performance of the receiver is simulated.
Non-Work Conserving Round Robin Schedulers

There have been numerous researches regarding the QoS guarantee in packet switching networks. IntServs, based on a signaling mechanism and scheduling algorithms, suggesting promising solutions, yet has the crucial complexity problem so that not enough real implementations has been witnessed. Flow aggregation is suggested recently to overcome this issue. In order to aggregated flows fairly so that the latency of the aggregated flows is bound, however, a non-work conserving scheduler is necessary, which is not very popular because of its another inherent complexity. We suggest a non-work conserving scheduler, the Round Robin with Virtual Flow (RRVF), which is a variation of the popular Deficit Round Robin (DRR). We study the latency of the RRVF, and observe that the non-work conserving nature of the RRVF yields a slight disadvantage in terms of the latency, but after the aggregation the latency is greatly reduced, so that e combined latency is reduced. We conclude that the flow aggregation through RRVF can actually reduce the complexity of the bandwidth allocation as well as the overall latency within a network.
The File Splitting Distribution Scheme Using the P2P Networks with The Mesh topology

Recently, the small sized wireless terminals have problems of processing of large sized file because of the trends of a small sized terminals and a large sized files. Moreover, the web servers or the file servers have problems of the overload because of the concentration with many number of files to the them. Also, There is a security vulnerability of the data processing caused by the processing with a unit of the independent file. To resolve the problems, this paper proposes a new scheme of fat splining distribution using the P2P networks with the mesh topology. The proposed scheme is to distribute blocks of file into any peer of P2P networks. It can do that the small sized wireless terminals can process the large size file, the overload problems of a web or file servers can solve because of the decentralized files, and, the security vulnerability of the data processing is mitigated because of the distributed processing with a unit of the blocks to the peers.
Qos Enhancement in PCF of IEEE 802.11 through Simulation

PCF(Point Coordination Function) of IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol is an access method oat generally has better performance under high offered load conditions. And it is also appropriate for sending data of time-limited applications. In this paper we consider the QoS(Quality of Service) enhancement method according to the change of nodes in the IEEE 802.11 WLAN. We assume that the un consists or QoS nodes and non-QoS nodes. The QoS nodes has a mechanism to support QoS. we can find the appropriate network parameters by many simulations. And the changes of network status are considered according to the number of nodes.
The Study of Dynamic Flow Control Method using RSST in Video Conference System

This study examines dynamic flow control method in UDP, analyzes packet loss which is frequently used element in measuring existing dynamic flow control and characteristics of round trip time, and proposes a new method of measurement, RSST. The algorithm that uses the proposed RSST enables accurate measurement of network status by considering both the currently measured network status and the past history of network status in controlling the transmission rate. For comparison study, a network status measurement software program that displays detailed information about volume of transmission generation of network status, and flow pattern of network was developed. The performance test shows that the proposed algorithm can better adjust to network condition in terms of low pack loss rate over existing algorithms.

Design of RTP/UDP/IP Header Compression Protocol in Wired Networks

Real Time Transport Protocol (RTP) is the Internet standard protocol for transport of real time data audio/video IP Telephony, Multimedia Seivece. In case of 8kbps voice codec, the size of packet per data is 20bytes and become more large to minimal 40bytes with adding each layer's header in RTP/UDP/IP. To solve this problem, various header compression skill were suggested on point-to-point networks. But it compress even IP header and cannot be suitable to apply to end-to-end network Thus, We will renew header compression protocol to apply wired router-based network.
Block Matching Algorithm Using Pixels Selected by Image Complexity

This paper proposes a modified block matching algorithm which reduces an amount of matching computation by using only pixels contributing greatly to block matching. In consideration of algorithm implementation and additional informatirm, the proposed algorithm divides a matching block into sub-blocks, selects some sub-blocks using their complexities, and execute the block mating with them. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs a valid block matching, diminishing computation cost.
Development of 3-D Web Graphic Library Using Java

This paper describes the development of 3-D web graphic library for dynamic web graphic design. The 3-D web graphic library developed in this per supports creation of 3-D objects like cube and sphere objects, elimination of hidden line and surface, and the shading of diffuse and specular reflections. It provides, in drawing, perspective projection of an object depth first sort of multiple objects, and wire frame and solid models. It also supports texture mapping function for realistic and dynamic web application in application software. Each created 3-D object gives functions for the scaling, translation, and rotation of itself. It can be used for the development of dynamic web application software and the advertisement of information for business and tourism as a 3-D web graphic library engine. It is written in 'Java' language and runs on web browsers with Java virtual machine without any dependancy of client computer system.
A Study on Improving Driving Stability System in Slalom and Emergency Case

Conventionally, 2WS is used for vehicle sleeting, which can only steering front wheel. In case of trying to high speed slalom or emergency through this kind of vehicle equipped 2WS, it may occur much of side slip angle. On the other hand, 4WS makes decreasing of side slip angle, outstandingly, so it is possible to support vehicle movement stable. And conventional ABS and TCS can only possible control the longitudinal movement of braking equipment and drive which can only availab to control of longitudinal direction. There after new braking system ESP was developed, which controls both of longitudinal and lateral, with adding of the function of controlling Active Yaw Moment. On this paper, we show about not only designing of improed braking and steering system through establishing of the integrated control system design of 4WS and ESP but also designing of the system contribute to precautious for advanced vehicle stability problem.
A Study on Attitude angle control of Quadruped Walking Robot

In this paper, we used the quadruped walking robot Titan-VIII in order to carry out this simulation of sway compensation trajectory. The attitude angle
is obtained from 3-D motion sensor that is attached at the center of robot body and the attitude control carried out at every 10[ms] for stable gait of robot. Duty factor, that is fixed at 0.5. When we change period T into 1.5, 2.0, 3.0[sec] each and moving distance per period is changed into 0.2, 0.3(m), we sim띠ate several walking experiment of robot. and then we analyze the experiment results if there are any difference between the imaginary ZMP and actual ZMP of robot and the stable gait of robot is realized.
New Smith Predictor Controller Design Using a Disturbance Observer

In this paper, a new Smith predictor controller for a disturbance adding to input side of a time delay plant is proposed. A disturbance observer is obtained to estimate an input disturbance and the new Smith predictor controller to eliminate the effects of a disturbance is designed using the disturbance observer. As a result, the proposed Smith predictor controller can make a steady state error for step input disturbance zero quickly. The effectiveness and the improved performance of the proposed system are verified by computer simulation.
Design of an Asynchronous FIFO for SoC Designs Using a Valid Bit Scheme

SoC design integrates many IPs that operate at different frequencies and the use of the different clock for each IP makes the design the most effective one. An asynchronous FIFO is required as a kind of a buffer to connect IPs that are asynchronous. However, in many cases, asynchronous FIFO is designed improperly and the cost of the wrong design is high. In this paper, an asynchronous FIFO is designed to transfer data across asynchronous clock domains by using a valid bit scheme that eliminates the problem of the metastability and synchronization altogether. This FIFO architecture is described in HDL and synthesized to the Bate level to compare with other FIFO scheme. The subject mater of this paper is under patent pending.
VLIS Design of OCB-AES Cryptographic Processor

In this paper, we describe VLSI design and performance evaluation of OCB-AES crytographic algorithm that simulataneously provides privacy and authenticity. The OCB-AES crytographic algorithm sovles the problems such as long operation time and large hardware of conventional crytographic system, because the conventional system must implement the privancy and authenticity sequentially with seqarated algorithms and hardware. The OCB-AES processor with area-efficient modular offset generator and tag generator is designed using IDEC Samsung 0.35um standard cell library and consists of about 55,700 gates. Its cipher rate is about 930Mbps and the number of clock cycles needed to generate the 128-bit tags for authenticity and integrity is (m+2)
(Nr+1), where m and Nr represent the number of block for message and number of rounds for AES encryption, respectively. The OCB-AES processor can be applicable to soft cryptographic IP of IEEE 802.11i wireless LAN and Mobile SoC.
Dynamic characteristics for Double Gate MOSFET

In this paper, we have investigated electrical characteristics by action temperature of double gate structure that have main gate and side gate. Could know current-voltage characteristic is superior in ultra low temperature (77 K) as well as in room temperature (300 K). Also, conditions of most suitable for get superior DG MOSFET's dynamic characteristics are main gate length of 50nm and side gate length of 70nm and could know that should be approved more than voltage 2V. Also, this DG MOSFET usefully use may as digital device because on-off characteristic is superior.
A Study on Monitoring Technique for Home Server based on Web Camera

A monitoring system for the security is increasingly demanded in line with the issue of the infringement of privacy. This paper has conducted the study on the monitoring technique via the Internet using PC or PDA. This is a monitoring system for web-camera based home server, which transmits the images and sound data captured by mike-embedded USB camera, though multiplexer of H.263 and internet. It integrates the operating processors of each device into a unified drive module and provides it the operator to facilitate the system operation and maintenance.
Implement of XML-Based Authorization Policy Module

PKI provides good resolutions for the authentication of user in the situation not to meet each other, but it is not enough to provide the resolution of authorization in distributed computing environments. Especially, we offer a variety forms of the user Authentication, the Integrity and a security service of the Non-Repudiation, but an authorization Policy, because of the complexity with a lot of information, using m understandable XML, makes a simple and easy certificate to read, and we get the information from DOM fee and do a XML analysis and stardardized-method usage easily In this paper, we provide the AAS model being able to use with the solution of the distributed users' authorization, and we implement an authorization policy module, using XML. in the Linux-based Apache Web server.
A Study on Robust Authentication and Privacy in Wireless LAN

The IEEE 802.1x standard provides an architectural framework which can be used various authentication methods. But, IEEE 802.1x also has vulnerabilities about the DoS, the session hijacking and the Man in the Middle attack due to the absence of AP authentication. In this paper, we propose a WLAN secure system which can offer a robust secure communication and a user authentications with the IEEE 802.1x framework. The user authentication on the WLAN secure system accomplishes mutual authentications between authentication severs, clients and the AP using PKI and prevents an illegal user from intervening in communication to disguise oneself as a client, the AP or authentication servers. Also, we guarantee the safety of the communication by doing secure communication between clients and the AP by the Dynamic WEP key distribution.
Construction of Digital Logic Systems based on the GFDD

This paper propose the design method of the constructing the digital logic systems over galois fields using by the galois field decision diagram(GFDD) that is based on the graph theory. System Phase Noise for Mobile Satellite Communication Service

The phase error generated in the transmission system affects the performance of digital transmission signal. The phase error are generated by random phase noise and tracking phase error due to denier phenomenon. In the mobile satellite communication system that generates the doppler frequency, which is a system with a movement, the proper system phase noise spectrum should be designed based on analyses for phase noise and static phase error effects. Based on the analyses of the doppler frequency and the phase error for bilateral satellite communication system providing an asynchronous service, the phase noise spectrums for the mobile satellite communication are designed in this paper. Also, the available transmission services under the less doppler effect are proposed and the proper signal source units for a required transmission system can be designed under the proposed system phase noise spectrum.
Low Pass Filtering for the Extraction of Island Detection in Coastal Zone from SPOT Imagery

The join of remote sensing and GIS(Geographic Information System) could be useful in various fields of marine information and land information as well as ITS(Intelligent Transport Systems). This paper is LPF(Low Pass Filtering) for the extraction of island detection in coastal zone Iron SPOT imagery which is 10m resolution photograph. The study area is based on the southern sea in korea. Sobel operator performed the extraction of island detection in coastal zone after the LPF processing by remote sensing. And, GIS was used to generate from raster to vector data. As the result, The best way prove out the 5
5 convolution mask about the LPF processing of island detection in coastal zone. It is judged the research which it sees with the fact that the presentation of very scientific and reasonable data will be possible from the oceanic dispute will occur from the EEZ(Exclusive Economic Zone).
Numerical modeling of defects nucleation in the liquid crystal devices with inhomogeneous surface

Development of the laser measurement system for the wide output power range

Currently, most wired Internet describes an image file using GIF and JPG and wireless Internet uses various image files such as SVG, wBMP, SIS, PNG, and Flash Lite. Accordingly, overlapping occurs in the investment of production cost for making contents. This thesis proposes a Character(Avatar) service that could simultaneously aid both wired and wireless Internet by utilizing SVG, a vector based image file format for describing two-dimensional graphics. We will reduce cost of developing contents, when develop contents that simultaneously supports wired and wireless Internet using SVG.
Bio-Gateway System Architecture for Integrating Heterogeneous Bio-Databases

The Integration of biological databases is critically important because of the interconnectedness of biological research. But it's not easy to integrate these databases for the different formats and designers in heterogeneous environments. So initial design is indispensable to integrate heterogeneous databases. In this paper, after we performed conceptual modeling on a popular nucleotide database, GenBank and a protein database, Swiss-Prot and integrated them by considering cross-reference. we also propose the integration system architecture called Bio-Gateway System, which can help users query closely linked information between two biological databases within one system differently from existing systems as well as query easily on condition that user knows fine condition for less effort.
Flexible Database security System using Improved Role Hierarchy

Database security is essential to protect their data in most organization such as hospitals, central or local governments, banks which manage the private, sensitive and important data. Because the duty of the department recently became more various and complicated, the changes of security requirement are needed more frequently. Therefore, easily changeable, flexible security policy and efficient security management with preserving the integrity of security policy are very important. In this paper, we implemented a flexible database security system in the specimen and clinical information management system of leukemic research center using IRH(Improved Role Hierarchy). Data is protected by MAC and we propose a flexible access control and effective administration by using the IRH that is an improved role hierarchy of RBAC. If security policy is needed for changes, this system can do it easily by simply modifying the IRH with the decentralized administration. The modified security policy can be applied flexibly after alteration because the security level of the subject is not fixed but can be derived automatically from the IRH when user connects the system.
A Study on the PID Order tuning by GAs for Velocity Control of DC Servo Motor

In this paper, does by purpose DC servo motor speed controller design about PID coefficient tuning techniques that use genetic algerian. DC servo motor is used in application field of a peat many control machine or robot etc. and in this field, selection of controller parameters requires user's expert knowledge. Therefore, general amount of work engineers must continuously iteration tuning in controller parameters by trial and error. With this, when must tuning parameter coefficient about change of dynamic system or disturbance, can improve the efficiency according to following that is more precised and parameter coefficient value that is optimized by using genetic algorithm. In this paper, from dynamic character modeling get in analyze dynamic character of DC motor desist controller drive control possible that is fast response character md improved speed precision using a Genetic Algorithms
Interchange Algorithm for VoD System

This paper proposes a approach to configure efficient video-on-demand system by introducing Multicast and Cache Video-on-Demand (MCVoD) system. As a key element or the MCVoD system, interchange agent provides this system with multicasting and switching functions. With the multicasting, the MCVoD system is able to reduce the load on the network as well as VoD servers by transmitting only one video request instead of sending multiple requests on a same video stream. The switching enables clients to receive the lust stream of requested video streams instantly without waiting time and also allows avoiding undesirable duplication of video streams in the system. With various experiment results through simulation about waiting tine and cache hit ratio, we show that the MCVoD system employing the interchange agent provides better performance than current uni-proxy based system.
