The purpose of this study was to explore the social support of family and esteem of the adolescents. The subject were 386 second grade students in the middle and high school in Taejon. The questionarie was used as frequency, mean, Pearson's correlation and regression analysis by SAS program. The findings were as follow. 1) Perceived sibling's support was significantly different in sex. 2) Mother's and sibling's support of high school students were more higher than middle school students. 3) The families's support was very influence to the adolescent. 4) Father's support was the most influence on adolescent's self-esteem.
Study on the self-differentiation of the university students and Kinetic Femily Drawing Respondent Characteristics
Lee, Jung-Sook ; Kim, Yun-Hee ;
Korean Journal of Human Ecology, volume 9, issue 4, 2000, Pages 429~445
This study was analyzed for the relationship between the self-differentiation of the university students and Kinetic Family Drawings that was responded their mental aspect. Results of this study were following. First, the level of self-differentiation by sex, age, region and grade was significantly different. Second, Kinetic Family Drawings respondent characteristics by their sex, age, region, grade and sibling order was significantly different. Third, in the relationship between the self-differentiation of the university students and Kinetic Family Braving respondent characteristics, when the group had less conflict and more interaction among family members, they could separate their subjective and objective tension and they could attach to their parents. In the case that crisis was occurred in their family, they had less possibility to represent dysfunctional communication style or regressive behaviors.
Consumer's Self-assessment and Its Problem : Htalth and Food
Shim, Young ;
Korean Journal of Human Ecology, volume 9, issue 4, 2000, Pages 447~457
The purpose of this study was to examine the accuracy of consumer's self-assessment on actual diets and to analyze its accuracy by consumer's health status. The results were as follows: In general, many consumers misunderstood or assessed inaccurately their actual diets. In particular, the Extreme Optimists and the Optimists were the consumers whose diets were poor, but who assessed wrongly their actual diet quality. In relation with their health status, these two groups showed that the better the consumers consider their health, the more the Extreme Optimists and the Optimists are.
A Study of Myokmok
Yoo, Kwan-Soon ;
Korean Journal of Human Ecology, volume 9, issue 4, 2000, Pages 459~469
The purpose of this study is to investigate the Myokmok, a kind of shroud. This study classifies Myokmok by its size, shape, cloths and color. Korean Myokmok through literatures are as follows. The size of Myokmok was one Ch'ok(尺) two Ch'on(寸). The surface of Myokmok were mostly black and the lining was mostly red. The cloths of Myokmok were Paek(帛) and Chu(紬). Myokmok through relics was various in size and the cloths were Kongdan(貢緞), Myongchu(明紬) and the color was various. Actual conditions of current Myokmok were various. The size, shape and cloths were more variable than the literatures and relics. In the Chinese Myokmok through literatures, the size were one Ch'ok two Ch'on, one Ch'ok and one Ch'ok five Ch'on. The cloths of Myokmok were Paek and Kyon(絹). The surface of Myokmok were mostly black and the lining was mostly red. Myokmok in Munkonggaryoieuichul was tide by the strings of four corners. The size of the Chinese Myokmok was various. The shape of the current Myokmok was various than the literatures and relics.
A Study on the Slacks pattern for Pregnant Women - focused on slacks pattern for mid or second half period of puegency -
Na, Mi-Hyang ; Kim, Youen-Hee ; Kim, Mi-Sun ;
Korean Journal of Human Ecology, volume 9, issue 4, 2000, Pages 471~482
The purpose of this study is to produce slacks pattern for pregnant women in the mid or second half period of their pregnancy according to the development figure of the body shell from a follow-up measurement. We here would like to produce slacks pattern for pregnant women constructed to fit better with their individual property in their figure and to help maintain the shape and beauty of the lower half of body and would compare it with two manufactured slacks pattern. The results of the study were as follows; 1. As the pregnancy proceeds, the height of natural-waist line went up spontaneously due to the projection of abdominal region, therefore, it was given darts at the front zipper part so that they could maintain a nice figure and to avoid possibility of feeling oppressed. To acquire a slimmer outfit, we made of the slacks-bottom narrower than the width at the knee line, and it worked out. 2. Sensory evaluation for appearance: According to the statistical of the result of 19items on the questionaire, all items showed significant difference(a
0.01) between the new and A(bunka) B(Kim's pattern) method slacks pattern, with the new pattern having higher scores. The new drafting method proved to be better fitted, to fit the shape of bodies properly and to get a visual effect to look slim.
The Effect of Cellulase Treatment on the Crease Resistance of Cotton
Song, Kyung-Hun ;
Korean Journal of Human Ecology, volume 9, issue 4, 2000, Pages 483~489
The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of cellulase treatment on crease resistance of cotton. Cotton fabrics was treated with cellulase under different concentration at
for 40 min. Also to compare the effect of DMDHEU treatment, DMDHEU treatment was conducted before and after cellulase treatment, also with cellulase. Weight loss, crease resistance and tentile strength of each samples were measured and compared. Maximum weight loss showed at 1g/l con. with 40 min. treatment. Cellulase enzyme treatment was more effective than DMDHEU in the crease resistance and tensile strength. Crease resistant of cotton which treated under different condition with cellulase and DMDHEU showed in the order of cellulase+DMDHEU> cellulase> DMDHEU treatment. Also, tensile strength showed in the order of cellulase> cellulase+DMDHEU> DMDHEU. Among those treatment conditions, condition which treated with cellulase considered more effective to increase crease resistance while keeping tensile strength too.

Second, even if, consumers tended to distrust discounting claims, they were satisfied with discount apparel products. Especially, they were satisfied with price, design, color, and size, while they were dissatisfied with sewing and fabric in discount products. Third, most consumer knew the knowledge of consumer rights, but most dissatisfied consumers did not assert positive consumer's right. Therefore, marketer should increase the accessibility of their complaint receiving mechanism for dissatisfied consumers in retail environment.
Changes in Quality of Fresh Ginseng Packed Individually with a Soft Film during Stnrage
Kim, Ji-Hye ; Koo, Nan-Sook ; Sohn, Hyun-Joo ;
Korean Journal of Human Ecology, volume 9, issue 4, 2000, Pages 505~512
The fresh ginseng was packed individually with a soft film bag, ONY/LDPE/L-LDPE (20
30 cm, 93
) and stored at
for twenty days. The Quality-related appearance parameters and the sensory characteristics of the fresh ginseng were evaluated. The quality of the fresh ginseng was lowered mainly due to hardness decrease with increasing storage time, while the occurrence of mould was rarely observed. The normal ginseng had strong fresh ginseng odor and strong bitter taste and its hardness was well maintained during twenty days. The softened ginseng had pungent and sour odor, sweet and sour taste and sticky texture.
