Identification Technition of Malicious Behavior node Based on Collaboration in MANET

MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Network) has a weakness from a security aspect because it operates where no wired network is built, which causes the exposed media, dynamic topology, and the lack of both central monitoring and management. It is especially difficult to detect and mitigate a malicious node because there is not a mediator which controls the network. This kind of malicious node is closely connected to the routing in the field of study of Ad-Hoc security. Accordingly this paper proposes the method on how to enhance the security for the safe and effective routing by detecting the malicious node. We propose MBC(Identification technition of Malicious Behavior node based on Collaboration in MANET) that can effectively cope with malicious behavior though double detecting the node executing the malicious behavior by the collaboration between individual node and the neighbor, and also managing the individual nodes in accordance with the trust level obtained. The simulation test results show that MBC can find the malicious nodes more accurately and promptly that leads to the more effectively secure routing than the existing method.
Design and Implementation of Data Access Control Mechanism based on OLAP

OLAP(On-Line Analytical Processing) is a tool to satisfy the requirements of managing overflowing data analysis. OLAP can provide an interactive analytical processing environment to every end-user. Security policy is necessary to secure sensitive data of organization according to users direct access database. But earlier studies only handled the subject in its functional aspects such as MDX(Multidimensional Expressions) and XMLA(XML for Analysis). This research work is purported for solving such problems by designing and implementing an efficient data access control mechanism for the information security on OLAP. Experimental evaluation result is proposed and its efficiency and accuracy are verified through it.
Security Analysis and Implementation of Fast Inter-LMA domain Handover Scheme in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks

In PMIPv6-based network, mobile nodes can be made smaller and lighter because the network nodes perform the mobility management-related functions on behalf of the mobile nodes. The one of the protocols, Fast Handovers for Proxy Mobile IPv6(FPMIPv6) has studied by the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF). Since FPMIPv6 adopts the entities and the concepts of Fast Handovers for Mobile IPv6(FMIPv6) in Proxy Mobile IPv6(PMIPv6), it reduces the packet loss. Conventional scheme has proposed that it cooperated with an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting(AAA) infrastructure for authentication of a mobile node in PMIPv6, Despite the best efficiency, without begin secured of signaling messages, PMIPv6 is vulnerable to various security threats such as the DoS or redirect attAcks and it can not support global mobility between PMIPv. In this paper, we analyze Kang-Park & ESS-FH scheme, and then propose an Enhanced Security scheme for FPMIPv6(ESS-FP). Based on the CGA method and the pubilc key Cryptography, ESS-FP provides the strong key exchange and the key independence in addition to improving the weaknesses for FPMIPv6. The proposed scheme is formally verified based on Ban-logic, and its handover latency is analyzed and compared with that of Kang-Park scheme & ESS-FH and this paper propose inter-domain fast handover sheme for PMIPv6 using proxy-based FMIPv6(FPMIPv6).
Quality Measurement and Analysis of Packet-based Voice Service over WiBro and HSDPA Systems

This paper covers the service quality of packet-based voice service that is provided over wireless broadband (WiBro) and high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) systems. Using a measurement software that has been developed in the course of preparing a advanced service quality management scheme for the packet-based voice service over wireless networks, a huge scale of experiment is conducted to measure the real quality of the voice service. Based on our analysis of the measurement results, the service quality of the voice service is supposed to be quite good over both wireless systems. In addition, another experiment to investigate the effect of degradation of wireless transmission conditions on the service quality of the voice service shows the values of wireless service metrics in which mean opinion score (MOS) starts to decrease.
Experimental Performance Evaluation of Vertical Handover with Virtual Interface in Heterogeneous Mobile Networks

In this paper, we propose a mobility management scheme which has a simple IP emulation method based on virtual interface. This scheme supports prevention of service abortion resulting from RAT (Radio Access Technology) interface switching during vertical handover and provides mobility management convenience according to maintenance of consistency in simple IP mobility management scheme of 3rd generation mobile network. Through the empirical experiments of proposed method, we check out the improvement of handover performance of the proposed scheme based on vertical handover latency comparing with a non-virtual interface system.
A Dynamic Server Power Mode Control for Saving Energy in a Server Cluster Environment

All the servers in a traditional server cluster environment are kept On. If the request load reaches to the maximum, we exploit its maximum possible performance, otherwise, we exploit only some portion of maximum possible performance so that the efficiency of server power consumption becomes low. We can improve the efficiency of power consumption by controlling power mode of servers according to load situation, that is, by making On only minimum number of servers needed to handle current load while making Off the remaining servers. In the existing power mode control method, they used a static policy to decide server power mode at a fixed time interval so that it cannot adapt well to the dynamically changing load situation. In order to improve the existing method, we propose a dynamic server power control algorithm. In the proposed method, we keep the history of server power consumption and, based on it, predict whether power consumption increases in the near future. Based on this prediction, we dynamically change the time interval to decide server power mode. We performed experiments with a cluster of 30 PCs. Experimental results show that our proposed method keeps the same performance while reducing 29% of power consumption compared to the existing method. In addition, our proposed method allows to increase the average CPU utilization by 66%.
An Efficient and Fair Substream Allocation Method for a Distributed Video Streaming System using Multiple Substreams

In a distributed streaming system using an advanced coding scheme that encodes a video into multiple substreams, the capacity of the system depends on the amount of contribution of participating peers. Thus, an incentive mechanism for peers to contribute voluntarily is needed to increase system capacity. In addition, since peers are not only a provider but also a consumer in the system (i.e. prosumer), the overall capacity of the system must be allocated fairly among the peers while it must be allocated in a way that can maximize the net quality of experience of peers to increase system efficiency. In this paper, we propose a substream allocation method to solve the problems taking an optimization approach. Unlike the other optimization approaches, the proposed method is verified quantitatively in a simulation study that it can use the capacity of video streaming system efficiently while allocating fair amount of substreams among peers because it considers explicitly the prosumer characteristics of peers.
Network Search Algorithm for Fast Comeback to Home Network in Roaming Environment

In the roaming case, the cost of using the visited network is larger than that of home network. So, if a mobile terminal is connected to the visited network, even though it actually came back to the home network, the user may unduly pay for communication. Such a problem frequently occurs when many networks are overlapped in the same region, as shown in the case of Poland. In this paper, we propose a network search algorithm to support the fast comeback to home network in the roaming environment. In the proposed scheme, which is based on the 3GPP specification, the mobile terminal tries to search the home network by using a database of network information, as fast as possible. For performance evaluation, we construct a virtual testbed with real terminal and network equipment to emulate the service providers in Poland. From the experimental results, we can see that the proposed scheme can reduce the time of comeback to the home network by 3~60 minutes, compared the existing 3GPP scheme.
Analytical Approach of Fast Inter-Domain Handover Scheme in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks with Multicasting Support

Multicast service will be required to be an important form of communication without interruption to the delivery of multicast service in mobile networks increasing MNs. In this paper, we review current status of PMIPv6(Proxy Mobile IPv6) multicast listener support being standardized in the IETF and point out limitations of the current approach and we proposed a fast multicast handover procedure in inter domain PMIPv6 network of network-based mobility management. The proposed Fast multicast handover procedure in inter domain optimizes multicast management by using the context of the MNs. We evaluate the proposed fast multicast handover procedure compared to the based one through the developed analytical models and confirm that introduced fast multicast handover procedure provides the reduced service interruption time and total network overhead compared to the based one during handovers.
