A Adaptive Rendering Image Processing for Based on the Mobile

This paper presents an EMR(Electronic Medical Record) chart for efficient PDA through the quad tree image rendering based on the mobile. Using the intermediate image space algorithm instead of the final one for volume rendering, we have solved the probems of th eholes coming from the point-to-point to mapping. The quad-tree based on the delta-tree efficiently represents volume expressions and results in higher compression effects. With the volume rendering, we can decrease the rendering time and get a higher quality and efficiency for PDA through image based rendering.
Implementation of Kiosk-based Internet Public Services System

To provede public services through Internet, there are several prerequisites such as security issue resolutions for public area installation and hardware support for authorized signatures etc. in addition to web-based system development. A kiosk-based system is a right solution for public services provision through Internet because a kiosk has hardware features supporting authorized signatures and also it can be installed at public area through Internet without security exposure, meeting security guidelines of National Intelligence Service. The process to provide public services through a koisk is that a client requests a kind of public services selecting menu through the kiosk, then the system issues a civil service documents after taking authentification and payment process. To support those kinds o processes it is required to support electronic payment using SMART card in addition to cash payment and to apply government standard security guidelines to protect administrative and personal information. This kiosk-based Internet public service system support and meet those all requirements.
A Mobile Agent Programming System for Efficient Distributed Applications

Mobile agent is one of the good technologies for overcoming network load and latency in distributed applications, and it may be a promising way of base technology of distributed applications because of its high adaptability for various network environments. In this paper, a mobile agent programming system, called HUMAN, is designed and implemented efficient use in various distributed applications based on mobile agents. HUMAN supports such high level utilities as file searhing, addressing by groups of nodes, storing path information, storing search information, and thus it gives us high easiness in agent-based programming. And it provides various itinerary modes and flexible reply modes for easy adaptation to given network environment. It also provides a management server for registering and active agents. Thus it can be efficiently applied for such varous distributed applications as searching distributed information, remote control, and file sharing in networks. A simple electronic commerce system is designed is designed and implemented as a HUMAN based illustrative application.
A Fast IP Lookups using Dynamic Trie Compression

IP address lookup of router searches and decide proper output link using destination address of IP packet that arrie into router. The IP address lookup is essential part in te development of high-speed router needed to high-speed backbone network as one of bottleneck of router performance. This paper introduces DTC data structure that can support gigabit IP address lookup by dynamic trie compression technique that just uses small memory in conventional Pentium CPU. When make a forwarding table by trie compression, the DTC can dynamically select a size of data structure with considering correlation between table`s size and searching speed. Also, when compress the prefix trie, DTC makes IP address lookup on the forwarding table of a search on the high speed SRAM cache by minimizing the size of data structure reflecting the structure of the trie. In the experiment result, the DTC data structure recorded performance of maximum
LPS (lookup per second) in conventional Pentium CPU through a dynamic building of most suitable compression over variety of routing tables.

The Internet, especially the mobile Internet influences enormously in many areas in human societym espeially in terms of the exchanging speed of knowledge and information. This new society of knowledge and information will introduce many new types of services based on valuable knowlwdge and information. Among many new services in this mobile computing environment, the real-time worldwide korean information networking service using the Korean characters invented by the mobile computing environment, the real-time worldwide Korean information networking service using the Koean characters invented by the King Sejong is possible ubiquitously with wired and mobile Internet. We studied the user interface with Korean characters in the mobile computing environment, and introduce the useful results with new metrics of performance analysis after real implementation for real-time Korean information networking using Korean domain names.
A Document Collection Method for More Accurate Search Engine

Internet information search engines using web robots visit servers conneted to the Internet periodically or non-periodically. They extract and classify data collected according to their own method and construct their database, which are the basis of web information search engines. There procedure are repeated very frequently on the Web. Many search engine sites operate this processing strategically to become popular interneet portal sites which provede users ways how to information on the web. Web search engine contacts to thousands of thousands web servers and maintains its existed databases and navigates to get data about newly connected web servers. But these jobs are decided and conducted by search engines. They run web robots to collect data from web servers without knowledge on the states of web servers. Each search engine issues lots of requests and receives responses from web servers. This is one cause to increase internet traffic on the web. If each web server notify web robots about summary on its public documents and then each web robot runs collecting operations using this summary to the corresponding documents on the web servers, the unnecessary internet traffic is eliminated and also the accuracy of data on search engines will become higher. And the processing overhead concerned with web related jobs on web servers and search engines will become lower. In this paper, a monitoring system on the web server is designed and implemented, which monitors states of documents on the web server and summarizes changes of modified documents and sends the summary information to web robots which want to get documents from the web server. And an efficient web robot on the web search engine is also designed and implemented, which uses the notified summary and gets corresponding documents from the web servers and extracts index and updates its databases.
The Implementation of Graphic Window Library for RTOS Qplus-P

As the Internet appliances like digital TV, Internet set-top boxes, and Internet phone, are showing up in the market, the economics of real-time operating system (RTOS), which is an essential for controlling those devices, is expanding faster than ever before. ETRI has developed describes RTOS called Qplus-P, targeting various platforms ranging from PDA to Internet set-top box and home server. This paper describes the implementation of graphic window library for Qplus-P. The Qplus-P graphic window library was implemented using tiny-X graphic server and gtk graphic toolkit, which are open source software. To port this library to various aliances, hangul processing, screen rotation, touch screen, and graphic acceleration functions are added to the tiny-X graphic server of the implementd graphic window library. Currently, Qplus-P graphic window is running on ARM-based appliances such as iPaq PDA, Samsung S3C2400 board, Zaurus PDA, and on Home Server that uses x86 processor. Qplus-P graphic library is provided as a of Qplus-P target builder.
User Request Filtering Algorithm for QoS based on Class priority

To satisfy the requirements for QoS of Users using multimedia content stream service, it is required to control mechanism for QoS based on class priority, URFA classifies the user by two classes (super class, base class) and controls the admission ratio of user`s requests by user`s class information. URFA increases the admission ratio class and utilization ratio of stream server resources.
Converting System from OSD and CDF documents to UML Class Diagram

For increasing needs about web-based XML applications, there has been a lot of studies about WIDL, CDF and OSD that are related to XML. Especially, the OSD format describes software packages and their inter-dependencies that is widely used in a CDF file, IT uses different forms for representing relationships among software pakages, because there has not been proposed a method of object modeling about it until now. In this paper, we propose a modeling method for the OSD and CDF documents using UML relationships. It is a part of the project to merge XML, applications and convert thd OCD and CDF documents into an IML class diagram to generate OODB sheme. We can esily not only visualuze implementation and dependency relationships among software packages but also understand and transform logical structure of XML documents using modeling functions.
Design and Implementation of a Mobile Customer Management using UML

Recently many applications are being developed as web technologies are evolved rapidly, but the development emthodology and quality improvement speed of the web apllications is not so. The creations of Most web applications have developed depending on the developer`s knowledge and experience without a systematic development methodologies. But the web-based application systems require the various developing gechniques and the rich developing methodogies for a design process. This paper applies the UML(Unified Modeling Language) supporting an object-oriented development methodology to the design and implementation of a mobile customer management system. That is, it appliesthe UML to the system modeling based on a story board and a requirement specification at the web development of the similar web applications. Applying UML to this system achieved the analysis and the design of an web application effciently.
Optimized design for gate complex and operation method of automated port

The quantity of container transportation of the world habors is constantly increasing by 8.8 per year until 2011. Present port facilities will not satisfy it. So facility expansion is necessary. Because the processing cost in the harbor becomes to 30% of total transportation expense, major pors inthe world are making an effort in the automation facilities to solve the problems of higher labor costs and indufficient labor and to maximize the efficiency of the work and use of the land. Especially, the automation of the gate, which is the place of cargo`s appearance and disappearance, the node which creates the information, is now rising as the important issue. In this study suggest more efficient design for port gate automation. First, calculate scale of gate complex, and compare of 1 step gate and 2 step, and optimal design for automated operation method of gate process.
A Study On Optimized Design of Decision Support Systems for Container Terminal Operations

Container terminals need decisions in the course of daily-24 hour and 365 day - operations, and all these decisions are inter-related. The ultimate goal of Decision Support System is to minimize ship loading/unloading time, resources used to handle the workload, and congestion on the roads inside the terminal. It is also to make the best possible use of the storage space available. Therefore, the necessity of decision support tools are emphasized to enhance the operational efficiency of container shipping terminals more, because of limits and complexity of these decisions. So, in thia paper, we draw evaluation items for Decision Support Systems and suggest optimization strategy of evaluation items which have the greatest influence on Decision Support system, that is, yard stacking allocation, RTGC deployment among blocks, and YT allocation to QCs. We also estimate the efficiency of Decision Support System design by simulation using G2 language, comparing ship loading/unloading time.
Cyber-Lecture Management System based on XML

The speedy development of the world-wide web is rapidly growing the internet-based tools for the remote instruction. In interchanging and expressing the information of one another on the web, it is produced through the form of HTML(Hyoertext Text Markup Language). However, the structural disadvantage of the HTML is becoming to require a powerful XML(eXtensible Markup Language) which can store all the sphere of data, and transform them into another form. Nevertheless, because the powerful XML(eXtensible Markup Language). However necessary that XML standard should be applied appropriately. Because existing lecture data of cyber education sites cannot be shared, the users should passively use only the functions offered by cyber school. To solve the problem of this limit, in this study, the standardized data structure for XML is defined, and system model for processing between the server and the client is provided. By storing the lecture data of cyber education sites as XML on the web, stored data came to be reused without changing on any site. In the view of Users, they could used the Internet service with equipment that they want at any place and any time. To control any kinds of CK\LMS(Cyber Lecture Management System) for Administrator and Users, we offered a variety of Multimedia applications and an easy interface and built a new style of CLMS. Therefore, by strong and extracting the data related with the virtual education of the secondary school through the form of XML, for the effective interchange and sharing of the information, maximum utilization of the information can be achieved.
Design and implementation of an Intelligent Tutoring System for Mobile English Learning

As the service of mobile internet has been expended, student users are increase. The computers have been widely used in a education field as the teaching tool by improvement of the multimedia contents processing and user interface. The English learning using the computers in the restricted education environment provides motivations and effective learning to learners, but still have some problem such as teaching and evaluating without consideration for differences of individual levels. In order to solve the problems and take the advantages, we propose the intelligent tutoring system for english learning with mobile technology. Overcoming limitations of the mobile environment and using proper treacher`s roles,. We have applied the conventional estimation method of the intellectual learner level for students. Also, we have proposed the diagnostic function in order to determine the method of teaching-learing and item disposition that each leaner prefers. Then we have designed and implemented the expert module, providing the feedback for teaching, of the intelligent turoring system for mobile english learning. This system will be able to support the interaction between teachers and students and replace some roles of teacher in the mobile english learning.
The Strategy of Designing Web-Based Courseware Based on Characteristics of Old aged Adults

As the use of computers and internet service has increased fast, various web-based coursewares for the educational purpose have been devoloped. However, the development of web-based coursewares for old-aged adults is far from satisfactory. Since most existing web-based coursewares are designed for the youth, they are not proper for old aged people to use confidently. In this paper, we analyse psychological, social and physical characteristics of old aged adults and propose the starategy for designing web based coursewares for them. Then, We apply the design strategy to develop the web-based courseware in Excel subject and analyse the effect of the design strategy by means of questioning and answring.
A Learning Content System which is Objectified with the Reusable Unit of Pedagogical Designs for Distributed Environments

In this paper, we investigate a problem with Web-based learing contents and introduce the solving method of the problem. To be more accurate, existing Web-based learning contents were one fixd and uniformed courseware file with a large size and HTML format. Also, They were written files with authoring tools of which depended upon providing a multimedia vender. These learning contents were difficult to reuse among cyber education systems and change the applicable contents to the learner for learning experiences in time. So in this paper, we produced reusable and interopreable learning contents among instruction designers and education systems. They were deconstructed into smaller chunks and added to its properties. For the purpose of this producing method, we used the pedagogical designs for units of reuse. These are just turorial link-more and tell-more and was implemented with CBD method. As a result, The problem of existing Web-based learning contents system was resolved and then the power of understanding about objectified learning content was increased for the learner and instruction designers.

The appearnace of web technology has accelerated the development of the multimedia technology, the computer communication technology and the multimedia application contents. Researches on WBI(Web-based Instruction) system have combined the technology of the digital library and LOD,. REcently WBI(Web-based Instruction) model which is based on web has been proposed in the part of the new activity model of teaching-learning. As the demand of the customized coursewares from the lwarners is increased, the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. In this paper we propose a system monitors learner`s behaviors constantly, evaluates them, and calculates his accomplishment. And the system offers suitable course to learner applying this accomplishment degree to agent`s schedules. Therefore, the learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course semantic-based retrieval.
Web-based Automatic Question-Issuing System Using Level Estimation for Learners

We propose a new web-based automatic question-issuing system, which automatically issue some problems suited to a learner`s level according to estimation and analysis of his answers examined previously and communicates interactively with him by using web. Till now, in many researches system issues problems by a learner`s direct choice or randomly. So they lack compensation for learner`s misunderstanding and wrong answers. This system allows a learner to determine the ratio of ease and difficulty and the number of problems at initial problem-solving time and then issues problems, which reflect his level, from problem pool. Also its accumulative estimate-analysis and current estimate-analysis make it possible for a learner to study intensively about his faulty area.
Design and Implementation of a Learner-Tutor Interaction Model in a Virtual Education System

In this paper, we exmined the effect of leaner-tutor interaction model implemented in a Web-based virtual education system. Also, we proposed a new tutor model as a strategy for solving problems found in learner-tutor intraction in Web-based virtual education. Then, based on the results of previous research, we derived the roles of the tutor, and using the roles, modeled components of interaction between the tutor based on existing Web-based virtual education systems to demonstrate the effect. The results showed that the proposed model is efficient for improving the learners` achievements and interactive activities.
