A Study on the Runtime Test of Priority Queues

This paper proposes a set of runtime test models for priority queues and shows the runtime test results based on the proposed test models for the representative priority queues: the traditional heap, post-order heap, and pairing heap. Among these heaps, the traditional heap is the worst in time complexity analyzed. But, according to our experimental results based on the test models proposed, it is shown that the slowest one is the pairing heap that utilizes pointers and the fastest one is the traditional heap. For the two implicit heaps, these results are in contrary to the fact that the post-order heap is better than the traditional heap in time complexity analyzed.
Formal Semantics for Processing Exceptions

To specify a formal semantics is to do a significant part for design, standardization and translation of programming languages. The existing studies of a formal semantics for Java have a weak point to describe a clear and practical semantics for an efficient translation. It is necessary to do research for a formal semantics to specify a static and dynamic semantics clearly in order to do an efficient translation. This paper presents the improved Action Equation that specifies a formal semantics for Java to extend the research using Action Equation. The Action Equation is a practical and accurate specification that describes object-oriented programming features and handles exceptions. The specified Action Equation is compared to other descriptions, in terms of readability, modularity, extensibility, and flexibility and then we verified that Action Equation is superior to other formal semantics.
An Action Pattern Analysis System of the Embedded Type about Network Users

In this study, we suggest the system to analyze network users` action patterns by using Data-Mining Technique. We installed Network Tap to implement the analysis system of network action and copied the network packet. The copied packet is stored at the database through MainMemoryDB(MMDB) of the high-speed. The stored data analyze the users` action patterns by using Data-Mining Technique and then report the results to the network manager on real-time. Also, we applied the standard XML document exchange method to share the data between different systems. We propose this action pattern analysis system operated embedded type of SetToBox to install easily and support low price.
A Robust Marker Detection Algorithm Using Hybrid Features in Augmented Reality

This paper presents an improved marker detection algorithm using hybrid features such as corner, line segment, region, and adaptive threshold values, etc. In usual augmented reality environments, there are often marker occlusion and poor illumination. However, existing ARToolkit fails to recognize the marker in these situations, especially, partial concealment of marker by user, large change of illumination and dim circumstances. In order to solve these problems, the adaptive threshold technique is adopted to extract a marker region and a corner extraction method based on line segments is presented against marker occlusions. In addition, a compensating method, corresponding the marker size and center between registered and extracted one, is proposed to increase the template matching efficiency, because the inside marker size of warped images is slightly distorted due to the movement of corner and warping. Therefore, experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm can robustly detect the marker in severe illumination change and occlusion environment and use similar markers because the matching efficiency was increased almost 30%.
A Study on Effective Management Method of the Flood Forecast System using PDA

The recorder at observatory can save the measured data from water gauge and rain gauge at an interval of five minutes. And then, the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) in observatory sends the measured data in the recorder to the TM (Telemetering) in FCO (Flood Control Office) at an interval of ten minutes using VHF or satellite communication. But the transmitted data is not the stored data at the recorder, it is just data that is measured at an interval of ten minutes. In the FCO, the transmitted data is analyzed in order to forecast the flood. And also one of the most important things is the maintenance of an observatory. In this paper, an effective management system for the flood forecast is proposed. It uses the CDMA and the Blutooth technology on PDA. The proposed system is very portable, and also easily able to send the data stored at the recorder in observatory to TM in FCO without RTU. And it allows us to view remotely the data of other observatories by downloading from the FCO. Hence the system can do efficiently the maintenance of observatory without wasting manpower and time.
A Component Modeling Tool based on AUTOSAR for Automotive Software

Recently, in automotive industry, there have been many researches related with hardware components and embedded software which controls hardware components. Since most of embedded software is tightly dependent on car manufacturers, there were some problems in reusability and interoperability of automotive software. In order to solve these problems, AUTOSAR standardized the component-based software architecture of automotive software. In AUTOSAR, several modeling diagrams should be described and their dependencies are also checked. Currently, a few company developed the prototypes of tools supporting AUTOSAR. In this paper, a component modeling tool based on AUTOSAR 3.0 is developed for enhancing the usability of existing tools using Eclipse GMF. The tool is composed of a graphical component modeling tool and a graphical network topology tool. Since these tools are generated based on GMF without hard coding, it is relatively easy to customize the tools for adopting company‘s needs and easy to follow the improvement of the standard and development environments.
