A Transformation Scheme for Continuous Queries on RFID Streaming Data

RFID middleware systems collect and filter the RFID streaming data gathered continuously by numerous readers in order to process requests from applications. These requests are called continuous queries because they are kept on executing during certain periods. To enhance the performance of the middleware, it is required to build an index to process the continuous queries efficiently. Several approaches of building an index on not data records but queries, called Query Index, are proposed and widely used for evaluating continuous queries over streaming data. The EPCglobal proposed an Event Cycle Specification (ECSpec) model, which is a standard query interface for RFID applications. Continuous queries based on ECSpec consist of a large number of segments for representing the query conditions. The problem with using any of the existing query indexes on these continuous queries is that it takes a long time to build the index because it is necessary to insert a large number of segments into the index. To solve this problem, we propose an Aggregate Transformation that converts a group of segments into a compressed data which is representative of the segments. We compare the performance of a transformed index with the existing query indexes.
Efficient Structural Information Extraction for XML Data

There has been an increasing interest in n since it is spotlighted as the standard for data representation and exchange in the Web. The structural information for XML documents serves several important purposes. In spite of its importance, the schema is not mandatory for XML documents. Thus, much research to extract structural information for XML document has been conducted. In this paper, we present a technique for efficient extraction of concise and accurate DTD for XML documents. By restriction of DTD content model using the mixed content model of DTD and XML Schema as well as applying some heuristic rules proposed in this paper, we achieve the efficiency and conciseness. The result of an experiment with real life DTDs shows that our approach is superior to existing approaches.
Graph Structure and Evolution of the Korea web

The study of the web graph yields valuable insight into web algorithms for crawling, searching and community discovery, and the sociological phenomena which characterize its evolution, also it is useful for understanding the evolution process of web graph and predicting the scale of the Web. In this paper, we report experimental results on properties of the Korea web graph with over 116 million pages and 2.7 billion links. We indicate to study the Korea web properties such as the power law phenomenon and then to analyze the similarity and difference between the global and Korea web graph. Our analysis reveals the Korea web graph have different properties compared with the global web graph from the structure to the evolution of the Web. Finally, a number of measurements of the evolution of the Korea web graph ill be represented.

Information system failure is various such as program test unpreparedness, physical facilities for damage prevention unpreparedness from simple software error. Although cross is trifling the result causes vast damage. Recently, became difficult by simple outside security system to solve this problem. Now, synthetic countermove establishment and suitable confrontation connected with danger came in necessary visual point about general Information Technology of enterprise. In connection with, in this paper, various informations and system and control about data that can happen information inside and outside considering integrity for IT resource, solubility, confidentiality within organization studied about special quality to model synthetic Risk Management System that can of course and cope in danger.
Implementation of a MPEG-4 Video Player for Embedded Systems

A wearable computer has appeared as the next generation computer with the development of embedded system technique in our country, although it has not been applicable well since the hardware and software capabilities are limited for multimedia service. We have implemented a MPEG-4 video player to provide with such multimedia application service using the embedded systems. This paper illustrates the development of MPEG-4 video player operating on the wearable computer named WPS(Wearable Personal Station), the wristwatch PC developed at ETRI.
A Research on Managing Assurance Level for Guaranteeing Quality of Web Services

As the coverage of Web services become wider and the number of implementation cases is growing, the importance of applying the Web services quality model to real world is increased. For maintaining the level of Web services qualify, it should be required to study on assurance method of Web services qualify level. Assurance for Web services, which is newly proposed by OASIS TC, means the totality of activities for managing the quality level of them. For managing Web service quality, Web service associates could usually use SLA(Service Level Agreement) method in which a service consumer contracts for some service level with a service provider and gives for penalty or pays incentives according to the result of evaluation of services. But, there are some difficulties in applying SLA to Web services, because Web services have publicity, multiple users, and 3rd party for management. So, we need a new assurance method for Web service by considering the characteristics of Web services. This paper provides the new concept of committed assurance level for Web services. This concept can be defined as the set of maximum level of quality expected by each user, which provide the consistent view of Web service quality. This paper presents the method for duality associates to preserve some quality level of Web service by using this concept.
A Case Study on IT Audit Issue for e-Business Pilot Project in Public Fields

As the roles and interests or audit are growing with ITA law in operation from 2006, the interests about the way which makes project qualifies to improve is increasing through it. In this point of view, this study is trying to find the issue that can promote the efficiency and effectiveness of IT projects decreasing some trials and errors relevant to IT, when government or some public agency field promote e-Business. For this purpose, this study analyze IT application result about e-business project in some public agency field. And the case study will be checked out and evaluated by the quality-contents analysis study method on the point of view of the IT audit. The study result is expected to provide a more practical policy implications than traditional researches based on specific-element technology or business process model by making use of major review areas and improvement methods. In thus, it is expected that it will be helpful not only references of IT quality improvement but also policy promotions when the public promotes IT projects related with e-Business.
Caret Unit Generation Method from PC Web for Mobile Device

The objective of this study is to satisfy requirements for a variety of terminals to play wired web page contents in ubiquitous environment constantly connected to network. In other words, this study intended to automatically transcode wired web page into mobile web page in order to receive service by using mobile base to carry contents in Internet web page. To achieve this objective, we suggest the method that is to directly enter URL of web page in mobile device and to check contents of the current web page. For this, web page is converted into an image and configured into a mobile web page suitable for personal terminals. Users can obtain the effect of having web services provided by using computer with interfaces to expand, reduce and move the web page as desired. This is a caret unit play method, with which contents of web page are transcoded and played to suit each user According to the method proposed in this study, contents of wired web page can be played by using a mobile device. This study confirms that a single content can be serviced to suit users of various terminals. Through this, it will be able to reuse numerous wired web contents as mobile web contents.
A Refined Neighbor Selection Algorithm for Clustering-Based Collaborative Filtering

It is not easy for the customers to search the valuable information on the goods among countless items available in the Internet. In order to save time and efforts in searching the goods the customers want, it is very important for a recommender system to have a capability to predict accurately customers` preferences. In this paper we present a refined neighbor selection algorithm for clustering based collaborative filtering in recommender systems. The algorithm exploits a graph approach and searches more efficiently for set of influential customers with respect to a given customer; it searches with concepts of weighted similarity and ranked clustering. The experimental results show that the recommender systems using the proposed method find the proper neighbors and give a good prediction quality.
A Scheme that Transcodes and Services from PC Web Page to Mobile Web Page of Dynamic Object with DOM

With development of mobile communications terminal and expansion of mobile Internet, a large number of users can use mobile web contents at anytime and anywhere and will demand service of greater contents. Due to such demand, many studies are being carried out on transcoding contents so that wired web contents can be used in mobile web. However, transcoding and creation of mobile web contents involve difficulties because specifications available from telecommunications companies and mobile terminals have not been standardized. Especially, in order for serving dynamic object of wired web page contents to dynamically change according to time or user, it is required not only to program scripts to suit each terminal, but also to transcode the resources used in advance. for solution to this problem, this study uses the hierarchy structure of DOM (document object model) to display structural characteristics of wired web page. In other words, this study proposes the following technique. Wired web pages are analyzed and the results are established as data structure. Then, dynamic object is extracted and the domain is indexed so that, when serving mobile web page, information can be extracted at the indexed position to create mobile web contents for service on real-time basis. Also, this study aims at developing an editing device to edit mobile web contents and mobile web service server to service the edited contents by applying the above technique.
