Deep learning based symbol recognition for the visually impaired

Recently, a number of techniques to ensure the free walking for the visually impaired and transportation vulnerable have been studied. As a device for free walking, there are such as a smart cane and smart glasses to use the computer vision, ultrasonic sensor, acceleration sensor technology. In a typical technique, such as techniques for finds object and detect obstacles and walking area and recognizes the symbol information for notice environment information. In this paper, we studied recognization algorithm of the selected symbols that are required to visually impaired, with the deep learning algorithm. As a results, Use CNN(Convolutional Nueral Network) technique used in the field of deep-learning image processing, and analyzed by comparing through experimentation with various deep learning architectures.
Design of Motor-driven Traveling System for High Clearance Working Machinery based on Tractive Performance and Hill Climbing Ability

In this study, an optimal design for motor-driven track type traveling system applied into high clearance working machineries in orchard is proposed. Tractive performance and hill climbing ability were predicted and evaluated for the optimal motor traveling system by taking into account of soil characteristics in orchard utilizing the high clearance working machineries. Design criteria for tractive performance were based on the traction force calculated from tractive effort subtracted by motion resistance, while hill climbing ability had its design criteria that fulfill the climbing 20% slope ground at a speed of 3km/h. Based on the evaluation results of traction and climbing ability, two DC48V, 4500rpm, 1.6kW AC motors were independently applied to both left and right side of orbits; each motor is designed to transmit power on driving sprocket of track type traveling system via 50:1 reduction gear ratio. The motor-driven track type traveling system developed in the study found to have 396 kgf of tractive force, which is 12.5% higher than climbing resistance at orchard soil having 20% slope ground (352 kgf), demonstrating sufficient tractive performance and hill climbing ability.
Analysis of Technology Convergence of `Internet of Things` Patents by IPC Code Analysis

In this study, we analysed the technology convergence of Internet of Things(IoT) by International Patent Classification(IPC) code analysis. 163 patent applications in Korea are the subjects of this study. We confirmed that the most representative IPC code combinations between Main and Sub categories are G06Q 50/24-G06Q 50/22(6 cases), H04L 29/02-H04L 12/28(4 cases), G06F 15/16-G06F 3/048(3 cases), G06F 15/16-G06F 9/44(3 cases), and G06Q 50/22-G06Q 50/24(3 cases). The field of Health Care business have been prepared 9 patent applications by technology convergence between `Health Care(G06Q 50/22)` and `Patient Record Management(G06Q 50/24)`. Finally we also concluded that the core IPC code are G06F 15/16, G06Q 50/22, G06Q 50/24, and H04L 12/28 by the technology convergence interconnections analysis of IoT patent applications.
A Study On the Development of Fully-digitalized High Frequency Sine Wave Power Supply

In this paper, we deals with the digitization of high frequency sine wave power supply using power source of high frequency surgical equipment and RF device. High frequency surgical equipment has been using commonly on medical surgery because of its merits such as programmable depth of incision, availability of incision and coagulation in the same device, increasing the usability on surgical side. However, the core part of the device is consists of vacuum tubes which are expensive, not ease to use and must be imported, therefore it is inevitable of high prices, forces to develop the fully digitized alternative technology. The fully digitized high frequency sine wave power supply for surgical device is proposed and verified by experimental results.
The Study of Infinite NHPP Software Reliability Model from the Intercept Parameter using Linear Hazard Rate Distribution

Software reliability in the software development process is an important issue. In infinite failure NHPP software reliability models, the fault occurrence rates may have constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing pattern. In this paper, infinite failures NHPP models that the situation was reflected for the fault occurs in the repair time, were presented about comparing property. Commonly, the software model of the infinite failures using the linear hazard rate distribution software reliability based on intercept parameter was used in business economics and actuarial modeling, was presented for comparison problem. The result is that a relatively large intercept parameter was appeared effectively form. The parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation was conducted and model selection was performed using the mean square error and the coefficient of determination. The linear hazard rate distribution model is also efficient in terms of reliability because it (the coefficient of determination is 90% or more) in the field of the conventional model can be used as an alternative model could be confirmed. From this paper, the software developers have to consider intercept parameter of life distribution by prior knowledge of the software to identify failure modes which can be able to help.
Development of a Moving Monitor System for Growing Crops and Environmental Information in Green House

In rural area, our farmers confront decreasing benefits owing to imported crops and increased cost. Recently, the government encourage the 6th Industry that merges farming, rural resources, and information and communication technology. Therefor the government makes an investment in supplying `smart greenhouse` in which a farmer monitor growing crops and environment information to control growing condition. The objective of this study is developing an Moving Monitor and Control System for crops in green House. This system includes a movable sensing unit, a controlling unit, and a server PC unit. The movable sensing unit contains high resolution IP camera, temperature and humidity sensor and WiFi repeater. It rolls on a rail hanging beneath the ceiling of a green house. The controlling unit contains embedded PC, PLC module, WiFi router, and BLDC motor to drive the movable sensing unit. And the server PC unit contains a integrated farm management software and home pages and databases in which the images of crops and environment informations. The movable sensing unit moves widely in a green house and gathers lots of information. The server saves these informations and provides them to customers with the direct commercing web page. This system will help farmers to control house environment and sales their crops in online market. Eventually It will be helpful for farmers to increase their benefits.
A Study on Combined DoA Estimation Algorithm using LCMV and Maximum Posterior on Uniform Linear Array Antenna

In this paper, we are comparative analysis of exit algorithm and proposal algorithm for desired target direction of arrival estimation in correlation signal system. Proposed algorithm in this paper is to decrease target direction of arrival an estimation error probability using bayesian, maximum posterior, and MUSIC algorithm in order to decrease direction of arrival error probability as optimize and use linear constrained minimum variance to update weight value. Through simulation, we were comparative analysis proposed algorithm and exit MUSIC algorithm. In case SNR is 10dB and antenna element arrays are 9 and 12, We show the superior performance of the proposed method relative to the class method to decrease of signal estimation error probability about 11% and 13%, respectively.
A Study about Performance Evaluation of Various NoSQL Databases

Various NoSQL databases are more excellent to process a large amount of big data than existing relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle. Among widely used NoSQL databases, performance of HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB and Redis was comparatively assessed. For distributed processing of a large amount of data, 12 servers were connected through switching hub and Ubuntu was installed as operating system. As for benchmark tool, YCSB was applied. Read and update ratios changed from 50% and 50%, 95% and 5% and finally, 100% and 0% and each of them was assessed as 200,000 commands developed into 1,200,000 commands for each case. Cassandra was most excellent with transaction processing per second while MongoDB was most excellent with the number of processes carried out per unit time.
The Study for Performance Analysis of Software Reliability Model using Fault Detection Rate based on Logarithmic and Exponential Type

Software reliability in the software development process is an important issue. Infinite failure NHPP software reliability models presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, reliability software cost model considering logarithmic and exponential fault detection rate based on observations from the process of software product testing was studied. Adding new fault probability using the Goel-Okumoto model that is widely used in the field of reliability problems presented. When correcting or modifying the software, finite failure non-homogeneous Poisson process model. For analysis of software reliability model considering the time-dependent fault detection rate, the parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation of inter-failure time data was made. The logarithmic and exponential fault detection model is also efficient in terms of reliability because it (the coefficient of determination is 80% or more) in the field of the conventional model can be used as an alternative could be confirmed. From this paper, the software developers have to consider life distribution by prior knowledge of the software to identify failure modes which can be able to help.
