A Study on the Factors Affection PC Communication Utilization -Focused on the Student Users-

This paper addresses the issues of affecting factors to measure the satisfaction degree in PC communication utilizations. In order to develope an optimal model, we study appropriate affecting factors in PC communication utilizations through the focus group interviews with student users, and surveys the satisfaction levels that users have felt in services. Based on the optimal regression model, we suggest an appropriate satisfaction model in PC communication utilizations. That model shows that most users are interested in the A/S area for use. A/S factor is the most powerful one to the satisfaction model. Second one is usefulness, next is DB quality. But service-ability factor and convenience one are negative ones. Most users think that their factors are in the way of fluent communication. So to keep the competitiveness in the PC communication utilizations, the negative factors should be amended as soon as possible.

Global Purchasing and Ordering Environment using Agent Technology

The objective of this research is to construct and build a software platform to enable collaboration among enterprise headquarters, product designers, software engineers, manufacturing plants, and suppliers which are locate at different remote locations via internet. In specific, agent technology is adopted as a software vehicle to automate demand and supply process in the internet environment. Agents are programs that act on behalf of their human users to perform laborious tasks such as information locating, accessing, filtering, integrating, adapting and resolving inconsistencies. Global competion is forcing the present day industry to produce high quality product more fast and inexpensively. In Korea, most labor-intensive industries have moved to China and other Asian countries for cost reduction. The need for fast information exchange has increased among the remote locations for the cooperation and coordination. In this research, a virtual global purchasing and ordering system will be constructured that distributes production schedule among remote places, acts as a bridge between the headquarters and manufacturing plants, distributes tasks and collates different solutions between demand and supply using agent. The external communication protocol takes HTML format, internal message handling requires SGML for document exchange, and KQML for agent implementation. The expected benefits will be : reduced cost of real-time information exchange, realization of global manufacturing environment, the maximum utilization of internet for the enterprise data exchange.
A Strategy on the Successful Introduction of Kaizen

Japanese firms have been so successful in the world market especially in the 1980s due to their invocation technique, Kaizen. In the past decade, however, some countries, such as the United States, have recovered their competitiveness since they have benchmarked Japanese firms. The objective of this research is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of Kaizen and suggest a checklist during its implementation in order to recommend future directions of Kazen for Korean firms so that those firms adopting it can prevent possible failures and gaim competitive advantage. Recommended future directions include the strong leadership of the top management during the implementation of Kaizen and employees' willingness to put the vision of their company first and their own interests second.
Analysis of the Difference of End-User Computing Success Factors for each Business Area

The purpose of this research is to find out the difference of success factors of End-User Computing (EUC) which are applicable to our corporations. There have been many researches related to EUC success factors, however, as the researches have been concentrated on limited type of business areas or have been studied without distinguishing the differences of characteristics of business areas, these researches are not sufficient to cover the situation of the corporations, in general. In this research, the range of companies to be investigated was widely extended to such as electric and electronic company, banking, construction company, petroleum and chemistry company, machinery and metal company, and beverage and food company. EUC success factors which influence the factors that are used to evaluate the EUC performance for each business area were found to be different. The result of this research can be useful for a company which is seeking EUC success factors for its own business area.
Design and Implementation of FSQL System in Relational Database

The usages of the relational database systems have been increased nowadays. However there is a constraint that the standard query language for a database system requests users to know the exact condition for a query. In this paper a FSQL(Fuzzy SQL) systems is proposed and implemented for the imprecise queries which do not include the exact condition. Moreover this system can supply the obvious results for the queries effectively. We define a simple fuzzy query language and use a method using the metadatabase to implement the FSQL system. This FSQL system can be combined with a relational database system without any painful effort.
Development of the 3 Dimensional Interactive Physics Experiment System

This paper describes about the development of the 3 Dimensional interactive physics experiment system using virtual reality technologies. Until now, most of the computer aided education systems have adopted one-sided learning way which only shows or tells. It excludes students during learning processes. To solve the problems of the one-sided learning way and to improve the educational productivity, the 3 Dimensional interactive physics experiment system is developed. The 3 Dimensional interactive physics experiment system introduced in this paper provides a new learning motivation for students and improves their educational effects through the 3 Dimensional graphics, realtime action, and realistic interactive experiment.
