Quantitative Assessment of 3D Reconstruction Procedure Using Stereo Matching

The quantitative evaluation of DEM(Digital Elevation Map) is very important to the assessment of the effectiveness for the applied 3D image analysis technique. This paper presents a new quantitative evaluation method of 3D reconstruction process by using synthetic images. The proposed method is based on the assumption that a preacquired DEM and ortho-image should be the pseudo ground truth. The proposed evaluation process begins by generating a pair of photo-realistic synthetic images of the terrain from any viewpoint in terms of application of the constructed ray tracing algorithm to the pseudo ground truth. By comparing the DEM obtained by a pair of photo-realistic synthetic images with the assumed pseudo ground truth, we can analyze the quantitative error in DEM and evaluate the effectiveness of the applied 3D analysis method. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation method, we carry out the quantitative and the qualitative experiments. For the quantitative experiment, we prove the accuracy of the photo-realistic synthetic image. Also, the proposed evaluation method is experimented on the 3D reconstruction with regards to the change of the matching window. Based on the fact that the experimental result agrees with the anticipation, we can qualitatively manifest the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation method.
An Experimental Study on the Reducing Method of Spurious Emission at the Spark Plug Cable

This paper, we analyzed that the measured data of the radiated power spectrum of electromagnetic waves of the normal spark ignition system and the spark ignition system with feed through type ceramic condenser. The results show that the strength of power spectrum radiated from the system with feed through type ceramic condenser is weaker than the normal system, and the density of power spectrum radiated from the system with feed through type ceramic condenser is smaller than the normal system. From these results, the feed through type ceramic condenser can reduce the electromagnetic waves radiating from the spark ignition system which is the spurious emission, and it can be concluded that the ignition coil of the spark ignition system generating high voltage pulse is equivalent to the radio frequency oscillator which is oscillating high frequency from a electronic point of view.
A Design of PLL for 6 Gbps Transmitter in Display Interface Application

Recently, frequency synthesizers are being designed in two ways narrow-band loop or dual-loop for wide-band to reduce the phase noise. However, dual-loop has the disadvantage of center frequency mismatch and requiring an extra loop. In this paper, we propose a new structure that supports a range of 800Mhz ~ 3Ghz with multiple control of the single-loop frequency synthesizer without another loop. The control voltage of the VCO(coarse, fine) will be fixed, and finally the VCO will have a low Kvco. The frequency synthesizer is simulated using UMC
process, proposed frequency synthesizer can be used in a variety of applications in the future.
A simulation on fall detection system for the elders

According to a survey, more than 50% of the elders fall which is the most frequent daily safety accident of the elders takes place at home. Furthermore, the elders fall is anticipated to increase as more elderly people are expected to live alone since, 67.1% of the elders of 65 or more do not hope to live with their children. This research aims to verify the fall by measuring and analyzing the floor vibration, and the hardware system was also designed was Piezo Film Sensor, Op-Amp, and DAQ. The system is consists of signal processing part for measuring floor vibration and alarm part for identifying the consciousness of the user when the fall occurs. The fall detection by vibration signals verified by k-Nearest Neighbor verification, and the results showed the error rate of 3.8%.
An Improved Convex Hull Algorithm Considering Sort in Plane Point Set

In this paper, we suggest an improved Convex Hull algorithm considering sort in plane point set. This algorithm has low computational complexity since processing data are reduced by characteristic of extreme points. Also it obtains a complete convex set with just one processing using an convex vertex discrimination criterion. Initially it requires sorting of point set. However we can't quickly sort because of its heavy operations. This problem was solved by replacing value and index. We measure the execution time of algorithms by generating a random set of points. The results of the experiment show that it is about 2 times faster than the existing algorithm.
Motion Estimation Algorithm to Guarantee Hard Realtime Operation

This paper proposes a motion estimation algorithm with run-time adaptive workload control. It has optimized performance within limited hardware resources while guaranteeing hard realtime operation. It performs maximum searches within hard realtime constraints, since it determines search steps and workload adaptively. It reduces the hardware size to 1/4~1/400 of conventional algorithms, while its PSNR degradation is only 0.02~0.44 dB. It can be easily applied to most conventional fast algorithms, so it is useful to design realtime encoder chips.
Robot Mobile Control Technology Using Robot Arm as Haptic Interface

This paper proposed the implementation of haptic-based robot which is following a human by using fundamental sensors on robot arms without additional sensors. Joints in the robot arms have several motors, and their angles can be read out by these motors when a human pushes or pulls the robot arms. So these arms can be used as haptic sensors. The implemented robot follows a human by interacting with robot arms and human hands, as a human follows a human by hands.
Implementation of Real time based Multi-object recognition algorithm

This thesis propose a improved matching method for implementing an ORB algorithm based multi-object recognition. SURF algorithm that is well known in the object recognition algorithms is robust in object recognition. However, there is a disadvantage for real time operation because, SURF implemention requires a lot of computation. Therefore we propose a modified ORB algorithm which shows the result of almost 70% speed improvement by improving matching part to recognize multi object on real time.

In this paper, we have implemented an overflow valve for EURO5 Type and the performance evaluation system based on IEEE802 protocol. On injecting a diesel oil into an engine, it is necessity for an overflow valve that can sustain an engine oil status in front of the engine. In order to evaluate the performance of overflow valve, we need the leak test system with IT. The leak test system checks the pressure, switching time and operating time.
Implementation of Electrical Performance Test Evaluation System for Car Fuel Heater

In this paper, we have implemented the performance evaluation system of the unified fuel heater for CRDI diesel engine. If the diesel engine be cold by low temperature in winter, then that makes the waxing materials like a paraffin and is the source of poor engine starting. The unified fuel heater is the barrow meter that estimate the start performance of diesel engine, and be tested by test chamber. The chamber perform the normal temperature, an extremely low temperature, an operating performance in an extremely high temperature, the resistance operation delay time and current operation delay time in setting up test resistance, the bimetal delay time test in temperature variation, the current and resistor test of the composited heater, a heating operation test.

A Design of Peak Current-mode DC-DC Buck Converter with ESD Protection Devices

In this paper, dc-dc buck converter controled by the peak current-mode pulse-width-modulation (PWM) presented. Based on the small-signal model, we propose the novel methods of the power stage and the systematic stability designs. To improve the reliability and performance, over-temperature and over-current protection circuits have been designed in the dc-dc converter systems. To prevent electrostatic An electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit is proposed. The proposed dc-dc converter circuit exhibits low triggering voltage by using the gate-substrate biasing techniques. Throughout the circuit simulation, it confirms that the proposed ESD protection circuit has lower triggering voltage(4.1V) than that of conventional ggNMOS (8.2V). The circuit simulation is performed by Mathlab and HSPICE programs utilizing the 0.35um BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process parameters.
Output Feedback Control for Feedforward Nonlinear Systems with Time Delay

This paper presents the output feedback control design for feedforward nonlinear systems with input and output delay. The proposed output feedback controller is composed of a linear observer and a linear controller. It is shown that by using Lyapunov-Krasovskii theorem, the proposed controller ensures a global asymptotic stability for arbitrarily large delay. Finally, an illustrative example is given in order to show the effectiveness of our design method.
