Study on Detection Characteristics of Gamma Radiation Detector using different Geometry of YSO Scintillator

In this study, gamma radiation detectors are created by integrating the following combinations of different YSO scintillators and PMT(photomultiplier-tubes) respectively:
. In addition, the scintillator with a 10mm diameter was integrated with a light guide with a 2mm thickness, 10mm entry and 3mm exit, using LightTools. The constructed detector used the standard gamma ray sources
(662keV) to analyze the spectral characteristics of gamma rays. The results indicate that at 662keV, the energy resolutions were 14.46%, 21.10%, and 10.71% for the first three combinations respectively. The best results were recorded for the
detector with light guide, which had an energy resolution of 7.48%.
A Camera Selection Method for User Monitoring in Smart Care Surveillance System supporting Big Area

Smart care surveillance system provides the services to track users automatically by using the nearest CCTV cameras which are capable of monitoring them after the system searches for CCTV cameras around them by using the GPS location information received from them. Because users send their GPS location information with using their smart device when they are in emergency situation or want to be cared for, they may expect quick response of helper in this system. However, in the previous system, the selection time of camera which is capable of monitoring is increased rapidly as the management area is expended because the area management server selects the camera by sorting the distance between all of CCTV cameras and users, and then monitors them whenever they send the location information. In this paper, we propose the method to reduce the selection time of the CCTV cameras for tracking the users by searching only the cameras near to the CCTV cameras used to track them.
Non-Local Means Denoising Method using Weighting Function based on Mixed norm

This paper presents a non-local means (NLM) denoising algorithm based on a new weighting function using a mixed norm. The fidelity of the difference between an anchor patch and the reference patch in the NLM denoising depends on noise level and local activity. This paper introduces a new weighting function based on a mixed norm type of which the order is determined by noise level and local activity of an anchor patch, so that the performance of the NLM denoising can be enhanced. Experimental results demonstrate the objective and subjective capability of the proposed algorithm. A Correcting Method of the GPS Location Information using one CCTV in Smart Care Surveillance System

Smart care surveillance system can take the position information of the user and monitor by controlling neighbor CCTVs using GPS receiver built into smart device. But because the position information contains a significant error, in general smart device, it is necessary to be corrected for precise monitoring. In previous smart care system, this error is corrected by using a plurality of CCTV. But it has disadvantage that two or more CCTVs pointed toward the same point at the same time. In this paper, we propose the method to correct error of the GPS location information by using only one CCTV. With experiment result, we find that the accuracy of GPS location information corrected with only one CCTV is as improved as two CCTVs.
Resistivity Image Reconstruction Using Interacting Dual-Mode Regularization

Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) is a technique to reconstruct the internal resistivity distribution using the measured voltages on the surface electrodes. ERT inverse problem suffers from ill-posedness nature, so regularization methods are used to mitigate ill-posedness. The reconstruction performance varies depending on the type of regularization method. In this paper, an interacting dual-mode regularization method is proposed with two different regularization methods, L1-norm regularization and total variation (TV) regularization, to achieve robust reconstruction performance. The interacting dual-mode regularization method selects the suitable regularization method and combines the regularization methods based on computed mode probabilities depending on the actual conditions. The proposed method is tested with numerical simulations and the results demonstrate an improved reconstruction performance.

In addition, the power consumption for each unit cell of SJ Power TMOSFET, considering the number, pattern and position of bonding, is computed and the power distribution for an ANSYS model is obtained, and the SJ Power TMOSFET is designed to make the power of the chip distributed uniformly to guarantee it's reliability.

Temperature Maintenance of an ITO Nanoparticle Film Heater

In this study, we fabricate a high efficiency heater consisting of the indium tin oxide (ITO) nanoparticle (NP)-paste and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and investigate the effect of PDMS on temperature maintenance of the heater through the comparison with the PDMS-free ITO film heater. Compared to the ITO film heater, the temperature of the PDMS/ITO film heater lasts 1.5 times longer. And the power consumption of the PDMS/ITO film heater is reduced by 35%, owing to the low thermal conductivity of the PDMS layer.

Annealing Effect on controlling Self-Organized Ag/Ti Nanoparticles on 4H-SiC Substrate

The effect of varying thickness of Ag/Ti metal bilayer and annealing time have investigated for controlling self-organized nanoparticles (NPs) on 4H-SiC substrate. In addition, Glass and Si substrate which have different surface energy from SiC were fabricated for analyzing interaction of agglomeration. The results of FE-SEM indicated the different formation behaviors of NPs in various ranges of fabrication condition. The surface energy was measured by using a Contact Angle Analyzer. The formation of network-like NPs was observed on Glass and 4H-SiC, respectively, whereas it was not the case on Si substrates. It has been found that the size of NPs increases with decreasing surface energy, due to particle size-dependent hydrophilic properties of substrates. The different formation behavior was explained by using Young's equation for the contact angles between the metal and different substrates.
A Study on Optimization of the P-region of 4H-SiC MPS Diode

In this work, the merged PiN Schottky(MPS) diodes based silicon carbide(SiC) have been optimized and designed for 1200V diodes by 2D-atlas simulation tool. We investigated the optimized characteristics of SiC MPS diodes such as breakdown voltage and specific on-resistance by varying the doping concentrations of P-Grid/epi-layer and space of P-Grid, which are the most important parameters. The breakdown voltage and specific on-resistance, based on Baliga's Figure Of Merit (BFOM), have been compared with and the SiC-based MPS diodes show improved BFOMs with low values of specific on-resistance and high breakdown voltage. It has been demonstrated 1,200 V SiC MPS diodes will find useful applications in high voltage energy-efficient devices.
Development of Sensor and Signal Duplicator for Building Automation

In this paper, we propose the sensor and the signal duplicator for the automatic building control. Developed duplicator realizes the sensor data collection apparatus and mimics the measured data and, thus, reduces the construction cost by using logical communication layer. Furthermore, the system supports the open protocols and can be associated with HMI(Human Machine Interface) used on the market. Developed duplicator is proved to be functional within the real environment. Measurement error rate, operating temperature, and operating humidity show very good results by the certified testing apparatus and organization.
The Energy-Efficient Automatic Power Controller of The Signboard using Illuminance Detector

In this paper, we propose energy-efficient automatic power controller which can power on and off the signboard at the specified light intensity using the Illuminance Detector. By using segmented section Classification algorithm, light intensity setup system propose variable resistor method which makes users more easy to control. Automatic light on-off system set a standard by measured illuminance data. Measured light-intensity through the Illuminance Detector are communicated with the signboard power controller with wireless communication, and it controls lighting system. In this paper, we evaluated the Energy-Efficient Automatic Power Controller of The Signboard using illuminance detector. Experimental results in lightless environment shows that the error rate is less than 3% by Accredited Testing Laboratories.
A Sub-1V Nanopower CMOS Only Bandgap Voltage Reference

In this paper, we present a nanopower CMOS bandgap voltage reference working in sub-threshold region without resisters and bipolar junction transistors (BJT). Complimentary to absolute temperature (CTAT) voltage generator was realized by using two n-MOSFET pair with body bias circuit to make a sufficient amount of CTAT voltage. Proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) voltage was generated from differential amplifier by using different aspect ratio of input MOSFET pair. The proposed circuits eliminate the use of resisters and BJTs for the operation in a sub-1V low supply voltage and for small die area. The circuits are implemented in 0.18um standard CMOS process. The simulation results show that the proposed sub-BGR generates a reference voltage of 290mV, obtaining temperature coefficient of 92 ppm/
in -20 to
temperature range. The circuits consume 15.7nW at 0.63V supply.

As the children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders(ASD) are increasing, and study of intelligent robot is dynamically proceeding, therapeutic robots are needed to help ASD children who have a lack of social interaction, inadequacy of communication. This paper deals with the design and operation of a cat robot for the treatment. To configure the behavior based on the results of field experiments, emotional treatment is suggested and robot structure considering ASD characteristic is designed with some sensors. In addition, we verified the effectiveness of the operation by field test.
Overflow Valve and Performance Evaluation System for Diesel Cars based on Spring Load

In this paper, we have estimated the performance of an overflow valve for EURO type CRDI(common rail direct injection) engine. In order to implement the overflow valve with friendly circumstance, it is necessity for considering spring load. Especially, the performance evaluation of diesel car with accuracy control will be considered a mileage improvement and circumstance regulation. In order to evaluate the performance of overflow valve, The leak test system checks the pressure, switching time and operating time under 3.0 bar below 100 cc, 3.3 bar among 150 cc and 200 cc, finally 4.0 bar upper 250 cc.
A Studies on the Characteristics of Reliability Test by Automotive Touch Screen Silver Pastes

In this paper, different types of touch screen silver pastes for bonding in conductive pattern formed over the ito film by bonding each sample of 5 was dried. The dry conditions, the oxidation of the ito film is a condition that does not occur. Reliability testing constant temp and humidity, cold-hot impact test is in progress. Each test will check the status of five sheets conductive pattern bonding. Conductive pattern bonding, after each 240,480,615 hours to check the status of silver pattern bonding. Reliability testing these through different silver pastes can see that the change in the adhesion and conductivity deterioration of the quality can be prevented, and reliability testing low temperature curing from the surface of silver pastes that can come as soon as the discoloration was unknown.
