Increasing network traffic and multimedia application services need realtime analysis of network traffic for improvement of QoS and effective management of network resource. Because difficulty of measurement based on software method, study of meter architecture for efficient capture function is necessary. Therefore we design and implement hardware metering system for efficient packet capture using embedded linux. And we analyze required bandwidth of system bus and memory for 10Gbps traffic through simulation.
A Highly Robust Integral Optimal Variable Structure System

In this paper, a design of an integral augmented optimal variable structure system(IOVSS) is presented for the prescribed output control of uncertain SISO systems under persistent disturbances. This algorithm aims at removing the problems of the reaching phase by incorporating advanced optimal control theory. By means of an integral sliding surface, the reaching phase is completely removed, and the integral sliding surface can be defined from a given initial state to origin without any reaching phase. The ideal sliding dynamics of the integral sliding surface is obtained in the form of the state equation and is designed in an optimal sense by targeting the design of the integral sliding surface and equivalent control input. The corresponding control input is selected in order to generate the sliding mode on the predetermined integral sliding surface. As a result, the whole sliding output from a given initial state to origin is completely guaranteed against persistent disturbances. Moreover the prediction/predetermination of output is enabled, which helps in improving the performance over previously implemented VSS's. Through an illustrative example, the usefulness of the algorithm is shown.
Design of an One-Chip Controller for an Electronic Dispenser

This paper presents an one-chip controller for an electronic dispenser. The electronic dispenser is composed of electronic part and mechanical part. The electronic part is consisted of input keypad, micro-controller, display module, and pump module. In this paper we designed micro-controller for the electronic part. The micro-controller controls display module and pump module. The display module is composed by LCD device, and the pump module is composed by motor device . The micro-controller for an electronic dispenser is designed by VHDL. We used WX12864AP1 for the LCD device and SPS20 for the stepping motor. Also, the micro-controller is designed by Altera Quartus tool and verified with Agent 2000 Design-kit using APEX20K Device. In this paper, we present possibility to adopt of the biomedical device through the one-chip controller for the electronic dispenser.
Development of A Recovery-algorithm of False-Positive Mail based on the Property of the Privacy

While E-mail has become an important way of communications in IT societies, it creates various social problems due to increase of spam mails. Even though many organizations and corperations have been doing researches to develop spam mail blocking technologies, more cost and system complexities are required because of varieties of blocking technologies. In case of adopting spam blocking technologies, system reliability largely relies on the False-positive error rate with the order of employing spam blocking filters. In this paper, a False-positive mail recovery technique based on privacy information is proposed and implemented in order to improve the reliability of spam locking filters. Through the implemented prototype, recovery procedure for False-positive mails is verified and the results are summarized and analyzed.

Threshold-dependent Occupancy Control Schemes for 3GPP's ARQ

3GPP RLC protocol specification adopted a window-controlled selective-repeat ARQ scheme for provisioning reliable data transmission. Inevitably, the re-ordering issue arises in the 3GPP's ARQ since it belongs to the selective-repeat ARQ clan. A long re-ordering time results in the degradation of throughput and delay performance, and may invoke the overflow of the re-ordering buffer. Also, the re-ordering time must be regulated to meet the requirements of some services which are both loss-sensitive and delay-sensitive. In the 3GPP's ARQ, we may deflate the occupancy of the re-ordering buffer by reducing the window size and/or length of the status report period. Such a decrease, however, deteriorates the throughput and delay performance and encroaches the resource of the reverse channel. Aiming at reducing the occupancy at the re-ordering buffer while suppressing the degradation of throughput and delay performance, we propose threshold-dependent occupancy control schemes, identified as post-threshold and pre-threshold schemes, as supplements to the 3GPP's ARQ. For judging the effectiveness of the proposed schemes, we investigate peak occupancy, maximum throughput and average delay in the practical environment involving fading channels. From the simulation results, we observe that the proposed schemes invoke the performance trade-off between occupancy and throughput in general. Also, we reveal that the post-threshold scheme is able to improve the throughput and delay performance of the ordinary 3GPP's ARQ without inflating the occupancy of the re-ordering buffer.
An Implementation of Timing Signal Generation Board for 3D Pulse Radar Testing Systems

This paper describes some major schemes for developing timing signal generator which can be used for testing of 3D radars. The developed generator has a function not only to simulate information on elevation angle for the simulated target signals but also to generate a modulated signal up to 80MHz. Because this generator has an internal modulating function instead of an external modulating function and has sufficient memory enough to change the parameters according to operating programs, it realization of various test-environments for testing a radar can be made with easy and with low expense.
Analysis of Software Reliability Growth Model with Gamma Family Distribution

Finite failure NHPP models proposed in the literature exhibit is either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. For the sake of proposing shape parameter of the Gamma family distribution, used the special pattern. Data set, where the underlying failure process could not be adequately described by the knowing models, which motivated the development of the Gamma or Weibull model and Gompertz model. Analysis of failure data set that led us to the Gamma or Weibull model and Gompertz model using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, bias tests was presented in this Paper.
Design of a CMOS Dual-Modulus Prescaler Using New High-Speed Low-Power TSPC D-Flip Flops

A prescaler is an essential building block for PLL-based frequency synthesizers and must satisfy high-speed and low-power characteristics. The design of D-flip flips used in the prescaler implementation is thus critical. Conventional TSPC D-flip flops suffer from glitches, unbalanced propagation delay, and unnecessary charge/discharge at internal nodes in precharge phase, which results in increased power consumption. In this paper a new dynamic D-flip flop is proposed to overcome these problems. Glitches are minimized using discharge suppression scheme, speed is improved by making balanced propagation delay, and low power consumption is achieved by removing unnecessary discharge. The proposed D-flip flop is employed in designing a 128/129 dual-modulus prescaler using
CMOS process parameters. The designed prescaler operates up to 5GHz while conventional one can operate up to 4.5GHz under same conditions. It consumes 0.394mW at 4GHz that is a 34% improved result compared with conventional one.

This paper presents the new structural Low voltage LVTSCR and TWSCR ESD protection circuit. The proposed ESD protection circuit has lower triggering voltage than conventional circuits. An Error Concealment Technique for MPEG-4 Video Transmission over Wireless Networks

The video data corrupted by the transmission error due to packet loss induce error propagation in decoded video data, and cause poor video quality. To remedy these corrupted video data, there have been introduced two types of error concealment techniques: spatial or temporal error concealment algorithm. Computational overhead by using spatial error concealment algorithm is a serious disadvantage in mobile video data streaming environment. In this paper, we propose hybrid type error concealment technique recovering video quality of mobile device using MPEG-4 video streaming on error-prone wireless network. Our algorithm is implemented in MPEG-4 decoder. The algorithm adopts Intel Wireless MMX technology to provide high performance of portable embedded multimedia mobile device. It is proven that the proposed algorithm shows expected performance for a mobile streaming system(PDA) on IP channels. Our approach showed better processing speed and better video quality comparing with traditional error concealment algorithm.
