Performance Analysis of DS-CDMA Signal through MZ Modulator in Optical SCM Signal Transmission

It is expected that the SCM (Subcarrier Multiplexing) optical link system, in which a number of small scale base stations with only antenna and RF transceiver are connected to central station through optical fiber, is in demand. In order to analyze the performance of SCM optical link system fur RF signal transmission, MZ(Mach-Zehnder) modulator's transfer function is modelled as nonlinear form with the cube of input signal. And considering the multiple access interferences occurred In the demodulation of other users'CDMA signals with multipath components after passing through MZ modulator, the BER performance is analyzed.
A Study on Aperture Coupled U-slot Microstrip Antenna using Wideband Stub

In this paper, aperture coupled U-slot microstrip antenna with wideband stub is investigated. The dielectric constant of the substrate is 2.2 and the hight of the substrate is 62 mil. The impedance bandwidth (VSWR<1.5) of U-slot antenna with wideband stub is about 10 %. The bandwidth characteristic of U-slot antenna wish wideband stub is compared with that of antenna without it. And the results of parameter studies of the wideband stub provides the optimum characteristics of bandwidth and matching.
The Scattering Performance of a Junction of Rectangular Waveguide to Coaxial Line with Two Skewed Conducting Posts

To determine a scattering performance of a rectangular waveguide with two skewed conducting posts in approximation by the mode matching method and the generalized scattering method is presented in this paper. We determined the optimized result from effective analysis to select the adequate eigenmode number in mode matching method for the skewed two conducting posts. And we obtained the scattering performance of the junction of the waveguide to coaxial line with two skewed conducting posts by application of above method. By this result, it can be seen that the transmission performance at output port of waveguide to coaxial line is 3 ㏈ at the angle, 50°And we obtained the reflection performance to decrease linearly along the skewed angle at input port.

Characteristics of Wideband Patch Antenna with an L-Strip-Fed Structure

A wideband stacked patch antenna fed by an L-strip feeder is studied experimentally. The objective of this paper is to design small wideband antenna for PCS and IMT-2000 service. Experimental results confirm that an impedance bandwidth(VSWR
2) of 704.7 MHz(35.95 %) is achieved at PCS and IMT-2000 frequency band. The studied antenna can be designed easily for extension of away because it has simple structure.
Electromagnetic Field Uniformity Characteristics of a Triangular Reverberation Chamber with Schroeder Diffusers

This paper presents the results of an electromagnetic field uniformity of a triangular reverberation chamber that can be used alternatively for analysis and measurement of electromagnetic interference and immunity test. Equilateral triangular reverberation chamber and Schroeder diffusers were designed and fabricated for this purpose. FDTD simulation method was applied to analyze the field distribution inside of two different types of reverberation chambers. As a result, the electromagnetic field uniformity was improved inside of triangular reverberation chambers, and the measured field uniformity was improved by 1 ∼4 ㏈ compared to the ones without diffusers.
Design and Fabrication of the Frequency Tripper for 8 GHz Local Oscillator

In this paper, frequency trifler fur 8 GHz local oscillator was designed and fabricated using MESFET. The third order harmonic was generated by biasing the transistor on A class. The fundamental frequency and the second harmonic were suppressed by using λ
g//2 stub and band pass filter. As results, conversion gain of 2.67 ㏈ at 8.31 GHz, the harmonic suppression of -41.17 ㏈c, the bandwidth of 510 ㎒ were measured.red.
4-Element Circular Array Dipole Antennas with Beam Steering

This paper presents a basic characteristics of 4-element circular array dipole antennas for 4-sector beam steering. The coupled integral equations for the unknown current distributions on dipole elements are derived and solved by applying Galerkin's method of moments. The parasitic elements have been used to increase the directional gain and the beam is steered electronically either by sswitching between the parasitic elements or switching the position of the active element. The parasitic elements are switched short-circuited or open-circuited as required to steer a directional beam. In order to verify the theoretical analysis, the radiation pattern was compared with experiments.
A Series Feeding Cross-Aperture Coupled Microstrip Antenna for Improving Axial Ratio Bandwidth of Circular Polarization

In this paper, a novel series feeding cross-aperture coupled microstrip antenna with the effect of hybrid feeding is proposed and demonstrated experimentally to improve narrow axial ratio bandwidth of cross-aperture coupled antenna with single feeding among the various methods for generating circular polarization. The validity of a proposed series feeding cross-aperture coupled microstrip antenna is shown by comparing experimental results between the reported and the proposed microstrip antenna, and 2
2 array microstrip antenna based on the proposed single microstrip antenna used sequential rotation technique to accomplish broader axial ratio bandwidth. In the proposed single and 2
2 array microstrip antenna, the measured axial ratio bandwidths are 110 ㎒(4.6%) and 420 ㎒(17.5%), maximum gains are 8.2 ㏈i and 12.5 ㏈i, 3 dB gain bandwidths are above 400 ㎒(16.7%), and impedance bandwidths for the VSWR<1.5 are 240 ㎒(10%) and 500 ㎒(20.8%), respectively.
Analysis of the Equivalent Circuits of the )-Dimensional Stepped Discontinuity in Microstrip Lines

A microstrip circuit with multilayer structure is applied variously in the MMIC. For effective transmission between microstrip lines with different dielectric height, it is need to analyze and to induce accurately the equivalent circuit in 3 dimensional stepped discontinuous microstrip line. In this paper, by using the S parameters obtained by FDTD numerical method and measurement, T equivalent circuit and its element values were induced. And the analyzed and measured results showed good agreement in 1 ∼5 ㎓ range.
