The Particle-Initiated Breakdown Characteristics on the Spacer Surface for

The influence due to particle contaminated on spacer surface is remarkable in the decreasing of dielectric strength in SF6 GIS. In relation with this problem, We studied, AC flash-over voltage characteristics and breakdown mechanism are investigated under metallic and insulating particle initiated condition in SF6 gas by varying the particle position, particle shape with a plane-plane electrode. The main results are as follows
Influence of the flash-over voltage decrease for particle position is lowest in mid gap and is highest in separated small gap on electrode.
The metallic particle shape which results in the more reduced flash-over voltage, the FOV saturation moved in to the region of low pressure.
Insulating particle less than 0.6[mm] are not almost influenced by the flash-over Voltage.oltage.
ACSR Inner Corrosion Detection by Eddy Current Sensor

This paper deals with ACSR(Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) inner corrosion detection using a detector which automatically runs on an ACSR distribution line and inspects the inner corrosion of the conductor by utilization of the nondestructive eddy current test. According to corrosion appearance and development of ACSR, the impedance change of the eddy current coils is theoretically verified. And then specifications and performances of the detector are described. Experimental procedures and desirable test results are reported. In conclusion, this detector can realize the nondestructive detecting of an ACSR inner corrosion. Upgrading the maintenance efficiency and improving the reliability of distribution line, whether is covered with insulating materials or not, would be expected by this nondestructive test method.method.
Fast Contingency Ranking Algorithm of Power Equipment

This paper presents an algorithm for contingency ranking using line outage distribution factors(LODF) which are established by generation shift distribution factors(GSDF) from DC load flow solutions. By using the LODF, the line flow can be calculated according to the modification of base load flow if the contingency occur. To obtain faster contingency ranking, only the loading line more than 35[%](60[%] at 154[kV]) is included in the computation of Performance Index(PI). The proposed algorithm has been validated in tests on a 6-bus test system.system.
Phase Current Variation of Bifilar-Wound Hybrid Stepping Motor by Lead Angle Control

In this paper, we confirm that the instanteneous phase current of the bifilar-wound hybrid stepping motor is dependent of lead angle by the experimental results. The variation of phase current with lead angle gives informations about the rotor position at the moment when phase winding coil is excited. We show that the rotor position of the bifilar-wound hybrid stepping motor for the closed-loop drives can be detected by using the instantaneous phase current measurement. We propose an instantaneous phase current equation as the function of electrical lead angle by the modeling of the bifilar-wound hybrid stepping motor. We also analyze the relationship between instantaneous phase current and rotor position by the computer simulation results. By the experimental results, we also confirm that the information about the rotor position can be obtained from the instantaneous phase current values at the instance of
electrical angle of excitation pulse. pulse.

lected so that the input filter presents an infinite impedance to harmonic input ac current component. The operation of proposed input filter has been analyzed in detail under steady state conditions. Performance evaluation and related design data have been provided on Per Unit basis for the proper implementation of diode rectification system. Finally, Detailed input and output current analysis has shown that the proposed input filter yield high quality input ac current waveforms, in particular, high input power factor values and more reliabilty which reducing the V A rating of passive components as compared to the standard type LC filter.filter.

In recent year, inverters and cycloconverters system are widely used for fed induction motor drives. Motor drives by cycloconverter is possible to frequency have been directly changed without AC/DC converter, so that circuits is simpler than inverter. A aims of this paper is the control strategy and hardware design for vector control system by cycloconverter fed induction motor drives. In this paper, Algorithm of vector control is derivlid from the model of controlled current source-fed induction motor. Vector control system is implemented using these algorithm and a pulse width controled cycloconverter using a SCR. Drive Signal Phasor Control-Based High Frequency Resonant Inverter Using Power-SIT

This paper proposed a novel SIT high frequency resonant inverter having drive signal phase shift control function. Phasor control type inverters using SIT can realize a power conversion on the high switching frequency with low switching loss. Especially, the high output power can be abstained by connecting the output voltage of two unit inverters In serIes. The stability of system using protection circuit for over current and the automatic follow-up control with load variation by PLL is presented. This inverter produce approximately sinusoidal waveform at a high frequency, switching frequency ranging from 180[kHz] to 220[kHz], and is applied to the 2[kW] induction heating. The operating characteristics of this inverter circuit are discussed from a theoretical point of view and compared with experimental results. results.
A Study on the Development of a System for Measuring Dielectric Hysteresis

A computer-controlled system for measuring dielectric hysteresis has been developed. This system consists of the wave generation par\, the high voltage amplifier part, the measurement part, the data acquisition part and the related controll circuits and is interfaced to P.C(personal computer). The applied voltage and its frequency are controlled by P.C . Since the measured datas can be saved in the RAM of P.C, the analysis and the graphics of the datas are very convenient. As a accuracy test, the capcitances of the commercial mica and styroll capacitors were measured by applying high voltage and the results were good agreement with the rating values. In the test of PZT ceramic sample, the typical D-E hysteresis loops were obtained by applying a single frequency voltage to the sample, and

The uninterruptible power supply (UPS) has become an integral part of modern computer and communication system to assure a continued and stable operation by providing an uninterruptible power to vital equipments. Various control methods have come to the fore in recent times with the advent of high frequency switching technologies. This paper describes the DSP control method for three phase UPS inverter which guarantees the sinusoidal output voltage under nonlinear load conditions. Design of Multivariable 2-DOF PID for Electrical Power of Flow System by Neural Network Tuning Method

The fluid system such as, the quantity control of raw water, chemicals control in the purification, the waste water system as well as in the feed water or circulation system of the power plant and the ventilation system is controlled with the valve and moter pump. The system's performance and the energy saving of the fluid systems depend on control of method and delicacy. Until, PI controller use in these system but it cannot control delicately because of the coupling in the system loop. In this paper we configure a single flow system to the multi variable system and suggest the application of 2-DOF PID controller and the tuning methods by the neural network to the electrical power of the flow control system. the 2-DOF controller follows to a setpoint has a robustness against the disturbance in the results of simulation. Design of Sequential System Controller Using Incidence Matrix

In this paper, we design a sequential system controller, which is capable of processing parallel sequence, on the basis of analysis of control specification described by Petri Net with incidence matrix. The sequential system controller consists of input conditioning unit and petri net control unit which is composed of the token control unit and firing unit. The firing unit determines the firing condition of the transfer signal on the basis of the token status of token control unit. By the proposed scheme, we can easily develop and implement the sequential system controller of automated warehousing system, automated transportation system, elevator system, and so on, as it is possible to modify control specification by changing simply the content of incidence matrix ROM and to expand easily functional capacity as the result of modular design.design.
Analysis of a Three Phase PWM AC/DC Converter With Input Current Waveform and Power Factor Correction

This paper describes to control system for AC to DC converter which has been widely used to power source in industrial factory and domestics. In this paper, three-phase PWM AC to DC Boost converter that operates with unity power factor and sinusodial input line currents is presented. The current control of this converter is based on the predicted current control strategy with fixed switching frequency and the line currents track to reference currents within one sampling time interval. By using this control strategy low ripples in the output current and the voltage as well as fast dynamic response are achieved with small dc link capacitance employed.ployed.
The Identification of Load Characteristic using Artificial Neural Network for Load Modeline

The modeling of load characteristics is a difficult problem because of uncertainty of load. This research uses artificial neural networks which can approximate nonlinear problem to represent load characteristics. After the selection of typical load, active and reactive power for the variation of voltage and frequency is obtained from experiments. We constructed and learned ANN based on these data for component load identification. The learned ANN identified load characteristics for other voltage and/or frequency variation. In addition, the results of component load identification are presented to demonstrate the potentiality of the proposed method.method.
Robust Speed Control of DC Servo Motor Using PID-Neural Network Hybrid Controller

Robust control for DC servo motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. However, when a motor control system with PID controller has an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. As a compensation method solving this problem, in this paper, PID-neural network hybrid control method for motor control system is presented. The output of neural network controller is determined by error and rate of error change occurring in load disturbance. The robust control of DC servo motor using neural network controller is demonstrated by computer simula tion.a tion.
The High Efficiency Operation of Induction Motor by Current Source GTO Inverter with Low Loss Commutation and Snubber Energy

In this paper, in order to develop the three phase GTO CSI of high efficiency 1M drive with low loss commutation and snubber energy, we studied the energy recovery circuit to recover stored energy in clamping capacitor and DC link inductor(VCC-l and VCC-2), and snubber capacitor(VCC-3). By using an induction motor as the load of inverter, experimental results show that dissipated DC power is decreased and capacitor voltage Vc is effectively suppressed by VCC-2 and VCC-3 system, and the validity of VCC-3 system with low loss commutation and snubber energy is proofed.roofed.
