The economic dispatch is one of the major concerns in case of buying and selling generated powers between electric powers companies. This paper describes the power system security the optimal power flow, and the security-constrained economic dispatch and shows the EDSA\`s active optimal power flow software package is well suited through a simple case study.

It is a quite quality concerming to the temperature of single cystalline growth as it does when we get most of heat treating products. It is also important factor to control the temperature when we make the A1203(single crystalline) used to artificial jewels, glass af watches, and heat resistant transparent glasses. Thus, it is a major interest to get the proper temperature in accordance with the time process while we are making mixture of oxygen and hydrogen to have the right tempearture. In this paper, we will study of electrical valve positioning system with DC-Motor for the gas mixture to improve the quality of products.
Characteristics analysis of time sharing method VVVF type high frequency resonant inverter

This paper describes the time sharing type high frequency resonant inviter can be used as power of induction heating. This closed inverter can be obtained output frequency three times than switching frequency by composing three unit inviter of conventional Half-Bridge serial resonant inverter in parallel with input power source also, this reduce switching loss because it has ZVS function. The analysis of the proposed circuit is generally described by using the normailized proposed parameters. The principle of basic operating and the its charasteristics are extimated by the parameters such as switching frequency(
), the variation of Phase angle(
) of Phase-shift. Experimental results are presented to verify theoretical discussion. This preposed inverter will be able to be prastically used as a power supply in various fields as induction, heating application, DC-DC converter etc.
Compensation of Voltage Drop Using the TSC-SVC in Electric Railway Power Supply System

Recently, power quality problems in AC high-Speed Railway system have been raised, because heavy train and its higher speed are required in addition to new control system by using the Electronic devices. The installation/operation of the Series Capacitor(SC) has been only a device far voltage drop in power system up to now. However, the sufficient effectiveness of compensating In voltage drop has not been proved yet because of technical limitationf SC, and harmonic resonance is attracting a attention as one of new issues. Several problems are expected such as vocational problems of a traction substation, and overloading caused by a new construction of electric railway and the in transport. Therefore, extension of power feeding the fault in the traction substation should be also considered. So this paper represents the application of TSC-SVC on the electric railway power feeding system as a device of voltage compensation, and the simulations are executed through PSCAD/EMTDC
Changes of Surface Properties of Silicone Rubber Used for Outdoor Insulators due to Corona Discharge

This paper presented the changes of surface properties of high-temperature-vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber used for outdoor insulators due to corona discharge. It is found that the intact angle and surface resistivity of HTV silicone dramatically decreased due to corona discharge, but completely recovered in a very short duration of recovery. With measuring the surface voltage after corona charging, it was confirmed that the surface porper쇼 became activated states due to the generation of excited radicals and reactive groups. The results of the chemical analysis showed that C-H bonds and Si-
bonds were broken due to corona discharge and silica-like bonds (SiOx, x=3~4) increased. It is thought that the above changes lead to the loss of surface hydrophobicity of HTV silicone rubber. However, co개na discharge induced the increase of diffusible low molecular weight(LMW) chains, which could lead to recover the surface hydrophobicity. Analysis on Thermal Transfer Characteristics of 50 kVA Mold-Transformer

This paper presented the charcteristic of the thermal transfer in a 50[kVA] cast-resin dry type transformer. The conductivity of the primary winding composed were a Plenty of epoxy-resin ard a little of Cu was determined by that rating. Otherwise the conductivity of the secondary winding composed of a plenty of Cu and a little of epoxy-resin was determined by comparing the data of analysis using FEM method with those of temperature tests of the prototype cast-resin transformer. Based on the reults of the physical characteristics and the simulation by commercial using FEM method we established the prototype Model for this test. According to that Model, an analysis on variation of the temperature was discussed as a function of ambient temperature and velocities in the 50[kVA] cast-resin dry type transformer.
A Study of Structual Improvement and Efficiency Progress of a Nebulizer

Nebulizer which is on sale in our country has many problems like noise and efficiency In order to solve these problems, we used 0.6[kg/
] moter in made of the Diaphragm instead of 2.5[kg/
] piston type to reduce noise art output power. Nozzle in the core of the Nebulizer was made of the wild collision cross-section and slope of the fluid in detail. It is found that we could be significantly improve remedial value by doing these efforts.
A Study on the Reliability of Electric Power Distribution System

Electric power distribution networks are prime examples of systems where a very high degree of reliability is expected. Reliability is the probability of a device or system performing its function adequately for the period of time intended and intented operating conditions intented. This paper shows that a better meshed distribution configuration over the case study of radial configuration distribution system was selected by comparing the indices obtained from EDSA\`s reliability worth assessment of distribution systems program.
A Robust Observer Design of Ma4gentic Levitation System using Sliding Mode Method

This paper presents a sliding mode observer and Controller far the state estimation and the dynamic stabilization of the magnetic levitation systems. The proposed striding mode observer is constructed by means of Lyapunov stability theorem to decrease the observer error, and the sliding rode controller is designed by a linear combination of the equivalent and nonlinear control input for the estimated states. The feasibilities of the suggested design method are illustrated with the simulation results.
On the Current Limiting Characteristics and Parameters of Superconducting Fault Current Limiter Introduced to 345kV Electric Power System due to Resistive-Type, Reactive-Type and Their Performance Comparison

The maximun short circuit current of modern power system is becoming so large that circuit breaker is not expected to be able to shut down the current in the future In order cut over-currents, a system composed of a superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) and traditional breaker seems to provide a promising solution for furture power operation. In present paper, three line-to-ground fault is assumed to happen at the center of 345kV transmission lines in a large capacity electric power system. The superconducting fault current limiter was represented using a commutation type, which consists of a non-inductive superconducting coil and current limiting element (resistor or reactor). from the viewpoint of current limiting performance, the prevention of the voltage drop at the load bus and comparision characteristics for two type SFCL. Desired design specification and operation parameters of SECL were also given qualitatively by the performance.
Algorithm for the Low-Voltage Feeder Design in Consideration of Voltage Drop

A size of low-voltage conductor cables is determined by the voltage drop of a system the cable impedance and the cable ampacity based on temperature correction factor in accordance with the condition of cable installation. Therefore, the proper temperation correction factor according to the condition of cable installation should be applied to determining the cable ampacity and also the skin effect and proximity effect, along with the kind and size of conductor and the condition of cable installation, should be properly considered to analyze the proper value of resistance and the reactance of the conductors. This paper addresses the systematic design flow for determining the size of low voltage level con여ctor cables in calculating the voltage drop of a power system and proposes a new improved the calculating formula what error should be minimized in comparison with the general formula and which can be applied in design work for determining the size of conductor cables.
Wet Flashover Characteristics and Reform Measure of a Conventional Lightning Rod against Lightning Impulse Voltages

In this paper, in ordor to examine the relevant technical facts which are very instructive to revise the domestic standard for lightning protection systems, standards and technical guideline for the protection of structure against lightning were reviewed, and several issues of the domestic standards were experimentally investigated. As a consequence, the insulator of relatively low implse voltage and a large percentage of lighting rods is flashovered by relatively low impulse voltage and a lage percentage of lighting current flows through supporting mast. Thus the potential gradient in the vicinity of supporter for lighting rods is extremely increased and the role of lighting propection systems is nullified. It seems obvious that the flashover of insular supporting lighting rod can range from erratic operation of microelectronic devices to minor physical ham or even death, or costly damage electrical equipment.
A study on the Development and Application of a Steam Generator Level Digital Control System for Nuclear Plants

It is a very difficult to control the S/G(Steam Generator) levels for not only automatic operation mode but also manual operation made by operators in case of start up or low power plants. The object of this study is to develop and applicate a DCS(Digital Control System) that process the reliable control algorithm in order to control S/G levels automatically from a start-up to full power operation mode for nuclear power plants.
High Precision Control of Servo Control System Using The Adaptive Fuzzy Controller

This paper proposes the adaptive fuzzy control system using the microprocessesor for high precision control of automation systems which exist non-linearities such as saturation, relays, hysteresis, and dead zones. The proposed system which provides the improvement in terms of the control region in transient and adaptive control, first used the frequence-locked mothed driving a system to generate a output voltage proportional to the frequency diffierence of relnence input signal and feedback signal for fast transient response,, and when the error reaches the preset value, used the adaptive fuzzy logic for precision control. The theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerable improved performance in the precision control of servo control systems.
