We propose a novel fractal-space multiplexing holographic memory system using moving window and double-focusing lens, which can eliminate crosstalk due to two neighboring moving window rows in the vertical direction of the conventional moving window holographic memory system, and demonstrated its feasibility through optical experiments.

In the interior lighting, usually we refer to TAL and general lighting. The last one is that we generally adopt it in the interior lighting conditions. Here, glare is most important factor of them, especially in working place using VDT. Reference or development of estimation on glare has been studied in CIE, IESNA etc. and these of glare regulations now are applied differently in the interior lighting design or estimation on glare. But we have no glare regulation in detail, of course except G classification, which has limit of itself, so in my case it is impossible to apply in the interior lighting. On this paper, with some of main glare regulations in the world and our conditions in the interior lighting which are selected carefully, in an actual state it has been estimated So, it intended to blow which one is most suitable or what factors are considered of them, also show glare index which are appropriate to our interior lighting.
Inverter type High Efficency Neon Transformers for Neon Tubes

The conventional neon transformer systems are very bulky and heavy because it consist of leakage type transformers made of silicon steel plates. In addition, it has problems in noise by a neon transformer and in possibilities of fire and electrical shock when neon tubes are destroyed. A protection circuit is designed for all types of neon transformer loaded with one or more neon tubes. Whenever the neon tube fails to be started up, comes to the life end, encounters faults with open-circuits at the output terminals of the neon transformer, the protection circuit will be initiated to avoid more critical hazards. The input of the transformer is automatically cut off when the abnormal condition occurs, preventing waste of no-load power. To improve such problems, in this paper, a new type of neon power supply systems for neon tube is designed and implemented using inverter type circuits and a newly designed lightweight transformer. In the developed neon transformer system, a 60［Hz］power input is converted to 20［KHz］high frequency using half-wave inverters, thereby the transformer reduces its size by 1/5 in volume and 1/10 in weight.

This paper deals with the design of a robust LQC/LTR (Linear Quadratic Gaussian with Loop Transfer Recovery) controller of the TCSC for the power system oscillation damping enhancement. Designing LQG/LTR controller involves several design parameter adjustment processes for performance improvement. this paper proposes a systematic design parameter adjustment procedure which is suitable for robust multi-monde stabilization. The designed controller is verified by nonlinear power system simulation, which shows that the controller is effective for damping power system oscillations.
GA based Selection Method of Weighting Matrices in LQ Controller for SVC

In this paper, we present a GA(Genetic Algorithm) approach to select weighting matrices of an optimal LQ(Linear Quadratic) controller for SVC(Static VAR Compensator). A SVC, one of the FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System), constructed by a FC(Fixed Capacitor) and a TCR(Thyristor Controlled Reactor), was designed and implemented to improve the damping of a synchronous generator, as well as to control the system voltage Also, a design of LQ controller depends on choosing weighting matrices. The selection of weighting matrices which is not a trivial solution is usually carried out by trial and error. We proposed an efficient method using GA of finding weighting matrices for optimal control law. Thus, we proved the usefulness of proposed method to improve the stability of single machine-infinite bus with SVC system by eigenvalues analysis and simulation.
Measurement and Analysis of Magnetic Fields and Induced Voltages Caused by Home Appliances

This paper deals with the measurement and analysis of the induced voltages and magnetic fields caused by the operation of home appliances. The induced voltage and magnetic field measurement circuit used in this work consists of the induction coil, the operational preamplifier and the active integrator. Television set and monitors for personal computer cause strong magnetic fields rich in harmonics and high induced voltages by using the switching power suppliers. The strong magnetic field intensity and high induced voltage were created by 14" television set, and their values are 2.1 ［
Tp-p］and 140 ［mVp-p］at the distance of 0.4 ［m］, respectively. However, the induced voltage per unit magnetic field intensity was created by 17" monitor for personal computer and the measured data was approximately 560［mV/

The purpose of this study is to measure and compare the output power characteristics and optical gain for selenium vapour laser depending on the He gas purity. The purity of the He gas was improved with a special He-filter. During the measurement the individual wavelengths were selected with a birefringent filter. The result shows that compared with those of laser without He-filter, the output-coupling power and small signal gain of laser with He-filter increase in the most of the lines. Especially, the output-coupling power and small signal gain for the strong lines (497.6 nm, 499.3 nm, 506.9 nm, 517.6 nm, 522.8 nm, 530.5 nm), blue(460.4 nm, 464.8 nm) and red(644.4 nm 649.1 nm) lines lies notably higher.
A Study on the ZVZCS Three Level DC/DC Converter without Primary Freewheeling Diodes

This paper presents ZVZCS(Zero-Voltage and Zero-Current Switching) Three Level DC/DC Converter without primary freewheeling diodes. The new converter presented in this paper used a phase shirt control with a flying capacitor in the primary side to achieve ZVS for the outer switches. A secondary anxiliary circuit which consists of one small capacitor, two small diodes and one coupled inductor, is added in the secondary to provide ZVZCS conditions to primary switches, ZVS for outer switches and ZCS for inner switches. Many advantages include simple secondary auxiliary circuit topology, high efficiency, and low cost make the new converter attractive for high power applications. Also the circulating current flows through the circuit so that it causes the needless coduction loss to be occurred in the devices and the transformer of the circuit The new converter has no primary auxiliary diodes for freewheeling current. The principle of operation, feature and design considerations are illustrated and verified through the experiment with a 1[㎾］ 50[KHz］IGBT based experimental circuit.

This paper shows a reasonable design standard factor in commercial buildings, that was made by the systematic and statistical way considering actual conditions, such as investigated electric equipment capacity, electric power consumption, load characteristic, etc., for 23 commercial buildings. With a rapid growth of national economics with the development of intelligence society , electrical energy consumption markedly increased Expecially, it is increased electrical energy consumption in the commercial buildings and thus an energy conservation through efficient use of electricity became more important In our country, the estimation of demand factor and electric equipment capacity are not properly and thus the application of these factors are confusing and different in each electric design of the field.
Fuzzy Controller Design for Steam Temperature Control of Power Plant Superheater

In this paper, we present a method of fuzzy controller design for the power plant superheater in the form of bilinear system. For the steam temperature control, the input variables are constructed by the area of difference between the profiles estimated from bilinear observer and reference profiles, and the time rate of change. We estimate the control rules by T. Takagi and M. Sugeno`s fuzzy model. The feasibilities of the suggested method are illustrated via the computer simulation results.
Countermeasures to Irregulor Abrasion of Section Insulators for Electric Railroad Catenary

As a section insulator dividing the electric railroad catenaries with different phases, the AC/DC section insulator which divides AC and DC railroad catenary have the complex structure, and suffer irregular abrasion on the surface or insulator rods when it is installed at the underground railroad. This paper intended as an investigation of the irregular abrasion of section insulators, provides the field measurements of abrasion level along insulator length and the abrasion patterns. The height variation of insulator parts and the balding length of insulators against pantograph`s contact force are analysed experimentally, and the irregular abrasion mechanism is clarified with the help of theoretical analysis on the interaction between pantographs and section insulators. On the basis of experimental and theoretical analysis, the countermeasures to reduce the irregular abrasion are provided too.
High Concentration Ozone Generation Characteristics by Variation of Additional Gases and Flow Rates of Inlet Gas

There are many effective parameters to high concentration ozone generation. These parameters became very important elements should be considered before designing ozone generator. After designing, there are many peripheral parameters to greatly affect to high concentration ozone generation also. In this study, of many effective peripheral parameters on high concentration ozone generation, the effects of flow rate of inlet oxygen gas and some kinds of additional gases on ozone concentration were investigated As a result, when inlet oxygen gas was introduced at the range of 0.75［LPM］～2.00［LPM］ the highest ozone concentration of 71145［ppm］ was obtained at 1.25［LPM］. When the additional nitrogen gas was mixed to oxygen gas at the range of 0.0［vol%]～6.4［vol%］ the highest ozone concentration of 73135［ppm］ was obtained at 0.8［vol%］ of nitrogen gas. This showed 3［%］ increasing compared to the case of pure oxygen gas inlet. When the additional argon gas was mixed to oxygen gas at the range of 0.0［vol%］～6.4［vol%］ the highest concentration of 67288［ppm］was obtained at 0.8［vol%］of argon gas. This is decreased value compared to that of introducing the pure oxygen.
Design of Traffic Data Acquisition System with Loop Defector and Piezo-Electric Sensor

This paper handles the design of a real time traffic data acquisition system using loop detector and piezo-electric sensor to acquire the vehicle information EISA compatible parallel I/O interface card is designed to sample 30 I/O channels at variable rates for raw traffic data acquisition. The control software is designed to generate the traffic data informations from the raw data. The traffic data information provides vehicle length, speed, number of axles, etc. Vehicle types are detected and categorized into eleven types from the vehicle length, axles positions and axle counts information. The traffic information is formed into packet and transferred to the remote hosts through serial communications for ITS applications.

As Information society has expanded in large scale. In order to improve the reliability and Qos(Quality of service), domestic IDC(Internet Data Center) has adopted or will adopt the SLAs(Service Level Agreements). The power quality of internet hosting server unit, power system and UPS is very important for better internet service. Therefore, the higher reliability or power system is imperative for satisfying SLAs. This paper presents the status measurement of domestic IDCs harmonics and illustrates the reduction effect of harmonics through the multi-phase.
Effects of Properties of Binder between Electrode and Dielectric Barrier on Ozone Generation Characteristics

The temperature decrease of discharge space was very important to generate the high concentration of ozone in silent discharge type ozone generator. At this time, binding materials and methods between dielectric barrier and ground electrode affected to the discharge importantly in electrical and thermal point of view. So, above two factors become very important parameters should be considered before designing the ozone generator. In this study, binders of silicone compound, electroconductive resin and charcoal were used for variations of binders properties. Resultantly, when the binding materials were used, better ozone generation characteristics were shown(maximum ozone generation 28044［ppmV］ at 6.0［kV］) in comparison with the non-used case (maximum ozone generation 15944［ppmV］ at 4.0［kV］). In addition, when the binding materials were used, the case of pure silicone compound showed better characteristics(maximum ozone generation 28044［ppmV］ at 6.0［kV］) than the cases of conductive binding materials(maximum ozone generation 25842［ppmV］ at 5.5［kV］ and including the charcoal 5%).
Study on junction temperature characteristics of TO-CAN laser diode for optimized screening tests

To extract exact screening conditions of TO-CAN laser diode, junction temperature during screening was investigated. Temperature increase due to thermal resistance was measured and compared with theoretical calculation. Injection current dependence of injection temperature was derived with good agreement with experimental data and used to obtain accurate screening conditions.
A Study of Ozone Generation Characteristic using Ceramic Catalyst Tube of Ti-Si-Al

A novel ozonizer has been developed using a high frequency surface discharge and a high purity Ti-Si-Al ceramic catalyst as its dielectric component. A cylindrical thin compound ceramic catalyst in reactor is adhered to inside of the film-like outside electrode. And, when experiment condition are oxygen gas temperature of 20 ［
］, inner reactor pressure of 1.6 atm 600［Hz］ and flow late of 2［l/min］. the ozonizer can easily produce ozone concentration(50～60［g/㎥］for oxygen) and power efficiency(180［g/kWh］for oxygen) without using a special enrichment means. At 2［l/min］, 20［
］, 1.6［atm］, 600［Hz］and 40［W］, the result of simulation to gas temperature of reactor using general code Phoenics, the maximum temperature of reactor was 132［
］in reactor. Ant the result electric field simulation of Ti-Si-Al type reactor using general code Flux 2D, maximum electric field was 0.131E.08［V/m］.
Development of Contact System in 460[V]/225[A]/50[kA] Molded Case Circuit Breaker

Low voltage circuit breakers which interrupt rapidly and raise the reliability of power supply are widely used in power distribution systems. In the paper, it has been investigated how much interrupting capability is improved by correcting the shape of the contact system in molded case circuit breaker(below MCCB), especially arc runner. Prior to the interrupting testing, it is necessary for the optimum design to analyze electromagnetic forces on the contact system generated by current and flux density. This paper presents both our computational analysis and test results on contact system in MCCB.
