A Study on Evaluation Structure of luminous Environment in o residential space and office work space

This paper is to find the difference of evaluation structure between a residential space and of ace work space and to examine a relation between mood item and behavior items on evaluation of the luminous environment. First 20 mood items md 15 behavior items were selected for evaluation item on the luminous environment. And then, subjective evaluation was experimented by the semantic differential method. The results are as follows: (1) In respect of evaluation un the mood both luminous environments that have each different character of space at evaluated by the three factors; activity, comfort and quality. (2) In respect of evaluation on the behavior, three factors, work, relaxation and entertainment are selected in the residential space and two factors, work and non-work are selected in the office work space. (3) In the residential space, activity is very important factor that affects on three behaviors, work, relaxation and entertainment. In the office work space, activity affects on work and quality affects on non-work.
Development of Electronic Ballast for Automotive HID lamp using Holt Bridge Inverter

An electronic ballast for driving automotive HID lamps is presented. The circuit topology is composed of a fly back converter, a half bridge inverter, and igniter using voltage doubler. A prototype was developed and tested on a 35W lamp with a 12V input voltage. To avoiding acoustic resonance the half bridge inverter is operated at 400Hz and provided a squared-wave voltage source to the lamp. The transient and steady state characteristics of the tested HID lapm are measured and analyzed.
A Study on the Characteristics of Reset Discharge in the ADS Driving Method for the PDPs

The priming discharge characteristic at the reset period in the ADS drive method of PDP was experimentally analyzed in this research. The amount of wall charge accumulated by the discharge and the accumulated time are unrelated to the priming pulse width. The self-erase discharge by excessive wall charge is related to the amount of wall charge by the priming discharge and this is related to space charge generated by the priming discharge. From the experimental result, in the optimized priming condition the plus width is 8
and the voltage is about 163V. The space charge which helps the self-erase discharge exists during about 16
immediately after generating the priming discharge. Therefore, it is suitable within 16
of the priming pluse width for the effective reset process.
The Development of 3 Dimensional Reflector Design Method for HID Lamps

Using pervious two-dimensional reflector design method, the three-dimensional reflector design method is developed for extrusion molding HID specular reflector optical design, Using this method, a HID reflector for tunnel was developed and estimated its performance.
LCD Backlight Drive Using The Piezoelectric Transformer

The piezoelectric transformer converters electrical energy into mechanical energy, It is high efficiency and small size transformer for high output voltage. The piezoelectric transformer operates the resonance frequency and the output voltage waveform is close to sine wave. Therefore, it is suitable for driving the LCD backlight in the notebook computer. In this paper, we discussed about the inverter which os driving piezoelectric transformer by generating sine wave through LC resonance after converting input DC voltage to the gate signal of FET. As the result of experiments, it was showed that the resonance frequency and voltage gain of the piezoelectric transformer was proportional to the load variation, and voltage gain was independent of the input voltage variation.
A Study of assessment criteria and reliability improvement for power supply of electrodeless fluorescent lamp

This paper gives an assessment criteria and reliability improvement for high frequency power supply of high efficacy electrodeless fluorescent lamp. The electrodeless fluorescent lamp system consist of electrodeless fluorescent lamp, high frequency power supply and lighting fixtures. The high frequency power supply has a shortest life at the system. Therefore It is need th assess the Failure Rate or mean Time To Failure(MTTF) for the high frequency power supply of electrodeless fluorescent lamp system and improve the reliability at design. We suggest the assessment criteria and improve methods of the reliability on the design basis for the electodeless fluorescent system.
Estimation of Groungding Registance by Water Tank Model

To make a efficient grounding facilities, it is very important to assume electrical potential distribution and grounding resistance previously in grounded electrode circumference, when the current flow to grounded electrode. In this paper, grounding resistance analyzed from grounding surface electrical potential in grounded rectangular electrode plate is compared to grounding resistance by theoretical expression and grounding resistance measured by simulated experiment in the water tank.
Anti-Swing Control Algorithm for the Automation of Overhead Crane

In this paper, is proposed an anti-swing control algorithm for the automation of overhead crane. The algorithm consists of three parts, the FCL with compensatory FLC which generates acceleration, velocity and position reference to reduce swing angle and acceleration feedback controller which feedback control errors. Especially the algorithm dose not need angular sensor which detect swing angle of payload and requires high cost. By the simulation study and experiment with prototype crane, we showed the usefulness of the proposed algorithm.
A Study on DC output voltage control of single-phase senseless PFC converter

The conventional single phase PFC converter can control DC voltage to steady standard value but control system is system is complex and expensive and has rapidity problems because of controlled by detecting DC voltage, AC voltage and current. In order to solve those problems, this paper proposes senseless PFC converter circuit. The proposed circuit can control the whole system by detecting AC voltage waveform And it directly controlled DC output voltage by the controlled voltage value Kd(Ed/Ea). The fluctuation ratio of DC output voltage is changed by the circuit characteristics These characteristics are confirmed by some experimental results.
Development of Global Insulation Assessment System for Medium Voltage power Cable System

The global assessment system for medium voltage power cable systems has been developed The minimum purpose of diagnostic activity is the economic discrimination and maintenance of bad cables which is likely to cause cable system failure. I have adapted the Aging Time Constant Method to construct the power cable assessment system for the diagnostic purpose. From the field application test and breakdown test results, it could be concluded that the diagnostic system was successful art convenient for the discrimination and maintenance of the bad cables, which is likely to fail sooner or later, economically.
The Buck DC-DC Convener with Non-Linear Instantaneous Following PWM Control Method

This Paper Proposes instantaneous following control method to control pulse modulation switching converter by using principle that reset time of integrator is inverse proportion in size of integrator input voltage. proposed control method acts of fixed frequency and control switch calculates time of become turn on and turn off using analog integrator. Duty ratio that express switching time of converter is depended on mean value of switching variable and following time consists in one cycle. Follow to do order exactly stationary state as well as transition state, and controller corrects mean value of control variable and control reference value and control as control error gets into zero. Proposed control method could experimented and know that experiment result and theory are agreeing well through this using the buck converter.
The Characteristics of Frequency Spectrum of the radiated Electromagnetic Waves with AC Discharge Progress in Air

This paper simulated discharge progress and partial discharge using needle-plan electrode system in air, in this time with discharge progress, studied the distribution of frequency spectrum of the radiated electromagnetic waves using biconical antenna and spectrum analyzer. From results of this study, a method was introduced for measurement and analyzation of the radiated electromagnetic waves in accordance with AC discharge progress in air, Besides, according to the consideration of the mutual relation between frequency spectrum of the radiated electromagnetic waves and discharge progress, it was confirmed that detecting partial discharge and estimating discharge progress were possible.
Motion Estimation using Hierarchical Triangular Mesh and Fast Node Convergence

In this paper, we propose a hierarchical triangular mesh generation method based on the motion information and a fast rude convergence method. From the variance of Image difference we decide the region that subdivision is required and perform the adequate triangulation method that is possible to yield a successive hierarchical triangulation. For fast node convergence, in initial search, we use the refinement method that separate the backgroung and object region and maintain the mesh connection by using the bilinear interpolation. The simulation result demonstrate that proposed triangulation method have performance in PSNR than the conventional BMA or order mesh based method and refinement is appropriate for the case of the mesh size is small.
Effect of Epoxy Dielectric Cooling on existing metal Porticoes in GIS

In this paper, partial discharges(PDs), lift off and breakdown voltage were measured when metal particles existed in a model GIS coated with epoxy resin on its bottom electrode, and the measured results were analyzed after comparing with the model DIS not coated. In order to presume the various fault case in GIS, we measured the experimental values with changing some experimental factors, such as the mixture ratio of SF
, the pressure of the gases, the kinds and diameter of the metal particles, and the coating thickness of the epoxy resin. As a result, the PDIV increased with the thickness of the epoxy resin, while the magnitude of PDs decreased at the same condition. The lift off voltages of steel alloy particles were higher than that of copper particles, and increased wit diameter of particles. Futhermore, the lift off voltages in the case of the electrode coated with epoxy resin were higher than that in the case of the uncoated one. In addition, the thicker the thickness of the epoxy resin was, the higher the breakdown voltage were. Thus, it was confirmed that the GIS coated with epoxy resin on its inner surface could be improved in insulation performance.
Data Acquisition System Design of I&C System in Nuclear Power Plant

This paper presents a new Data acquisition system that can improve a accuracy and response characteristics by designing a SDAS(Signal Datat Acquisition System). I&C(Instrumentation and Control) system, which it applied for Nuclear Power Plant, affects for safety either directly or indirectly. It should be assessed by the equipment qualification procedure to confirm the functionality during design life before it apply on the nuclear power plant depending on safety classification. This paper proposes data acquisition system that required as an essential measurement equipment in the method and procedure of equipment qualification following of standards and codes of IEEE and Nuclear Regulatory Guide. It provides comparable and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerably improved accuracy performance in the data acquisition system. This circuit will be able to be used in high performance I&C system.
