A Design of Photosensor Shape Considering Change of Room Situations for the Daylight Responsive Dimming Systems

Daylight responsive dimming systems have been used to save the energy in office buildings. It is needed to consider a configuration of photosensor shape for efficient management of daylight responsive dimming systems. The configuration of optimal photosensor shape must be able to measure the exact luminous flux without changing of setting positions corresponding to the changes of room situations. On this occasion optimal photosensor shape must be designed with configuration of a proper photosensor spatial distribution and location for the daylight responsive dimming systems.

The purpose of this research is to acquire emotional data on luminous source by measuring and evaluating human emotional response to the change of the optical feature of luminous environment Luminous sources used in actual architectural space were selected with the optical feature of luminous soured then to measure and analysis human emotional response on Luminous Source. A Study on the Mechanism with the Electrode Ratio of Driving and Generation Part of a Disk-Type Piezoelectric Transformer

In this study, a disk-type piezoelectric transformer was fabricated. Its diameter was 50[mm] and thickness was 4.5[mm]. The driving and generating electrode with their gap of 1[mm] were fabricated on the top surface. But the common electrode was fabricated on the whole bottom surface. The electrode surface ratio of driving and generating part on the top surface was the range of 1.4:1 to 3:1. A study on the Transformer Capability Containing Hormonic Load Currents

The increasing use of nonlinear loads has resulted in an increase in the harmonic content of the load current for power transformers. Transformers subject to harmonic currents have higher losses and need to be derated. This paper presents a simple method for determining the capability of transformers to supply harmonic load currents and shows that the application of capacitor banks with a series connected reactor and harmonic filters will greatly increase the capability of transformers.. The EDSA program was used as a simulation tool for the case study.

This paper proposes a new method which can calculates nodal price as an economic signal at non-optimal operation. By using pseudo constraints in 11 cases, we calculate shadow price and nodal price based on non-optimal operation. By comparing shadow price and nodal prices based on optimal and non-optimal operation effectiveness of the method is verified.

This paper is about the new distribution system of the electric customer inside. The power loss in the distribution system of the customer is disregarded and rarely managed so for. But, economically, this loss is not small quantity to ignore. So, in this paper, we suggest that the new distribution system of the electric customer inside by simply changing the locations of power transformer and other power facilities which is located inside of the customer. And we also show that the power loss is decreased with this systematic changing by approximated calculation.

It`s a general tendency that electrical facilities of power station become a large size and increase in number because electrical facilities become big and complicated with internal industrial development and economic growth. So, electrical accidents were increased in this electrical facilities of power station. Therefore, in this paper we compared domestic and foreign standard on safety environment of power station. From this, we draw several questions in case of installation on power station and we proposed a draft of relative standard to apply in power station.
A Study on starting Characteristics Improvement of Sensorless BLDC Motor

Brushless DC motor is a motor which is modified form DC brush motor and it does not have brushes. BLDCM is easy to centre, has wide speed range, high efficiency. However it needs speed sensor like encoder which increases the motor price and cause some faults in poor surroundings.. In this paper, for the sensorless control, the driving techniques for the initial stable start and the steady state are studied For the steady state the rotor position is determined using the measured back-EMF. To enhance the initial stating performance, the current signal from the free-wheeling diode is used. The results are conformed through the experiments.
The Characteristics of a Superposed Discharge Type Ozonizer Using Vacuum Discharge Tube

The superposed discharge type ozonizer of high ozone concentration using vacuum discharge tube has been designed and manufactured. It consists of three electrodes(central electrode, internal electrode, and external electrode) and one discharge gap(discharge gap between internal electrode and external electrode), is a superposed silent discharge type ozonizer for which the AC high voltages applied to the central electrode within discharge tube and the internal electrode has a
phase difference and for which the external electrode is a ground. Ozone is generated by overlapping silent discharge between central electrode and external electrode, and silent discharge between internal electrode and external electrode. At the moment, discharge characteristics and ozone generation characteristics were investigated in accordance with vacuum of discharge tube, discharge power of ozonizer, and quantity of supplied oxygen gas. In consequence, high ozone concentration can be obtained 8840[ppm].

This paper presents the characteristics analysis of an electromagnetic pump using the linear induction motor(LIM). The electromagnetic pump can be used to transfer the molten metals by the electromagnetic force of LIM. The characteristics of the pump are analyzed solving a hydrodynamic equation with an electromagnetic one.

In this paper the earth structures of four cities are analysed on the basis of the measured soil resistivity and the characteristics of a grounding system is examined. As a result it is revealed that the soil resistivity has an effect on touch voltage and step voltage, which are directly related to safety, as well as ground resistance.
Design of Network-Based Induction Motors Fault Diagnosis System Using Redundant DSP Microcontroller with Integrated CAN Module

Induction motors are a critical component of many industrial processes and are frequently integrated in commercially available equipment. Safety, reliability, efficiency, and performance are some of the major concerns of induction motor applications. Fault tolerant control (FTC) strives to make the system stable and retain acceptable performance under the system faults. All present FTC method can be classified into two groups. The first group is based on fault detection and diagnostics (FDD). The second group is includes of FDD and includes methods such as integrity control, reliable stabilization and simultaneous stabilization. This paper presents the fundamental FDD-based FTC methods, which are capable of on-line detection and diagnose of the induction motors. Therefore, our group has developed the embedded distributed fault tolerant and fault diagnosis system for industrial motor. This paper presents its architecture. These mechanisms are based on two 32-bit DSPs and each TMS320F2407 DSP module processes the stator current, voltage, temperatures, vibration signal of the motor.

In order to develope high concentration
yield ozonizer, superposed discharge type ozonizer using overlap of silent discharge and internal electrode of mesh type has been designed and manufactured. It consists of three electrodes(central electrode, internal electrode and external electrode) and double gaps(gap between central electrode and internal electrode, gap between internal electrode and external electrode). Therefore, ozone is generated by overlapping silent discharges generated between the gaps respectively for which the AC high voltages applied to the internal electrode and the external electrode has a
phase difference and for which the central electrode is a ground Ozone generation characteristics proportional to mesh of internal electrode by increasing of discharge electrode and controlling of discharge power density. As a result, the in maximum ozone concentration, generation, and yield can be obtained 17,720[ppm], 5.4[g/h], and 205[g/kwh] respectively.
Daily Load Forecasting Including Special Days Using Hourly Relative factors

This paper performs analysis the load patterns for the all the special days and studies the change of the load patterns for the last 15 years using Expert system based on the load record and the weather condition record. The Expert system is one of the four major load forecasting methods of the power system And it is used for forecasting. loads of the special days based on the Know-how of the load forecasting Experts. After the author simulates the load forecasting using hourly relative factors of the load patterns based on the past load records, there is considerable improved effect. The average errors of past 5 days load forecasting of lunar New Year`s Day (year 2002 and 2003) is
. Using the new method the author forecast loads of the lunar new year`s days (the year 2005) and it shows only
error. A field manual for the load forecast can be made using proposed method. The authors expect this article could give a guidance to those who wish to be load forecast expert.
Implementation of UPnP Protocol on the Linux System for Controlling Premises Equipment

In this article, it has been shown that penises devices such as illumination facilities, heating/cooling systems and security equipment can be controlled even outside premises using UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) applicable to the Internet or cellular phone services. To load UPnP protocol into each device, current manufacturers will be required to port flexible OS (Operating System), that is, Windows or Linux to these premises devices. Furthermore, prospective users want to experience a variety of specific functions based on more standardized and stable network. This study aims to provide application by implementing these functions on the Linux system.

NOx, Soot and other exhausted components already became a dangerous state as principal materials of the air pollution. Therefore, the exhausted regulations are getting strict in the many countries. In this paper, reduction characteristic of NOx Soot and CO from diesel engine are investigated when MF plasma system is put to the diesel engine. NOx is decreased in all measured load and applied voltage to plasma reactor.
