This paper concerns developing an integrated online/offline light facility management system using internet and building a database system for control box and street light. Also, we designed the system to minimize the disparity with the conventional management system by referring to an old management ledger format. Thus, the proposed method may enable the system manager to administer the light facility efficiently and to reduce the manpower and maintenance cost, economically.

We compare stabilities of each assembly type by measuring residual voltage, discharge current, leakage current and surface temperature concerned to the protection performances between a single device with a 40[kA] of current capacity and parallel or series circuits type of varistor package.

Voltage is generally and exactly measured in the electric and electronic field. So, we studied method for detecting electric equipment faulty state using only electric voltage. It is called the Partition-FFT. Tracking is simulated by method and tester proceed on IEC 60112. We analyze voltage waveforms by tracking tester with Partition-FFT. As the result tracking process is clearly distinguished by 6 steps. Tracking is one of the major reason of electric accidents. The Partition-FFT is using a digital oscilloscope and a computer software. If Partition-FFT analysis is applied to the electricity facilities, We can prevent from happenning electric accidents cause of tacking breakdown with low prices and easy measurment. Most of all, Partition-FFT is system that make a visual tacking process. So, everyone is able to detect to possibility of electric accidents.
A Study on the Harmonics and Voltage Sags Effect by the Series Resonant Filter Application for Personal Computer Loads

Computer Loads can be found in all of modern society. The switching mode power supplies used in personal computers are major sources of harmonic currents. Harmonic currents can cause lots of harmonic problems such as disruption in computer performance. A series resonant filter is very effective in harmonic reduction for personal computer loads. Voltage sags are short duration reductions in rms voltage. The main causes of voltage sags at faults, motor starting, and transformer energizing. Personal computers are another example of devices sensitive to voltage sags. A serious voltage sag at the terminals way lead mis-operation of the equipment. This paper presents an in depth analysis to evaluate the effect of harmonics reduction based on the IEC 61000-3-2 and the effect of voltage sag using ITI curve by applying a series resonant filter for personal computer loads.
Sliding Mode Control with Bound Estimation for Robot Manipulators

In this paper, we propose a sliding mode control with the bound estimation for robot manipulators without requiring exact knowledge of the robot dynamics. For the bound estimation, the upper bound of the uncertain nonlinearities of robot dynamics is represented as a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind and we propose an adaptive scheme which is only dependent on the sliding surface function. Also, we prove the asymptotic stability for the robot systems using two important properties in the robot dynamics: skew-symmetry and positive-definiteness of robot parameters.
A Study on the Fliker Effect of SVC in Electric Arc Furnace Loads

An electric arc furnace being used in the steel industry is a time-varying non-linear load causing voltage fluctuations to the power system. Flicker can be defined as the effect produced on the human visual perception by a changing emission of light lamps subjected to magnitude fluctuations of their supply voltage. The level of flicker depends on the amplitude, frequency and duration of the voltage fluctuations. In this paper, the voltage fluctuation problem in an 154[kV] system due to the electric arc furnace loads is investigated and the analysis results of the static var compensator application for the voltage flicker mitigation are presented and evaluated by the IEC 61000-3-7.
Characteristics Analysis of Induction Motor by Operation of Non-linear Loads under the 3-Phase 4-Wire Grid System

Voltage unbalance will be generated by the load unbalance operation such as combination operation of single & three phase load and current unbalance will be more severe by the deteriorated voltage quality. Under the these unbalance conditions, all power electronic converters used in different types of electronic systems can increase harmonic disturbances by injecting harmonic currents directly into the feeder grid of three phase 4-wire. Harmonic current may cause torque to decrease. it may also overheat or become noisy and torque oscillation in the rotor can lead to mechanical resonance and vibration. This paper presents a scheme on the characteristics of induction motor under the combination of linear & non-linear loads at the three phase 4-wire power distribution system by the unbalance and harmonic components. It was able to confirm that the number of torque pulsation decreased and torque ripple values increased by the harmonics that reduction was difficult by five harmonics filters at additional driving time of single-phase non-linear load.
Design of the Linear Propulsion System of a High-Speed Dynamic Tester for Catenary-Current Collection

This paper presents design of the linear propulsion system of a high-speed (200km/h) dynamic tester for catenary-current collection. Among various propulsion systems, a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor is chosen for need of high acceleration force. The design is performed by the equivalent magnetic circuit method and verified by the finite element method. In addition, analysis of the main effects of various design variables for performance of the propulsion system has been done by using simulation-based DOE method.

For clearing the cause of firing due to the tacking on the surface of phenolic resin, this paper describes the analysis through a couple of methods ; FT-IR; DTA; photograph analysis, etc. Phenolic resin has been widely employed as a case of low voltage appliances. A Study on the Improvement of Static Torque Characteristic in Permanent Magnet Stopping Motor with Claw Pole

This paper analyzed the characteristics of the claw pole PM stewing motor by using 3D FEM. As the magnetization occurs along the z-axis of the motor, it is necessary to apply 3D FEM for analysis of the claw pole PM stewing motor. Considering the computation time, reducing the number of the analysis model is effective method of the methods of the reducing analysis time. By using the "Design Of Experiments(DOE)", efficient analysis was able to be done. To see the effects of the design factors, the 3D FEM is applied only to the selected models. As the design factors, the teeth selected models, the number of turns and the permanent magnet overhang was selected.
An Implementation of Active Power Filler that Adopts to a Frequency Variation using the VCGIC(Voltage Controlled Generalized Impedance Converter

This paper proposes an analog type Active Power Filter that adapts to the frequency change of a distributed power supply system. The proposed system removes the harmonic currents in the source power by injecting a compensation current that has the same frequency, 180 degree out of phase with the harmonic currents generated by the load. The detection of the harmonics in the source power for creating the compensating current is realized by a PLL(Phase Lock Loop) and a VCGIC(Voltage Controlled Generalized Impedance Converter). The operation of the proposed system is verified by simulation and experiment.
