The Analysis of Emotion Adjective for LED Light Colors by using Kobayashi scale and I.R.I scale

The aim of this study is to analyze the emotion adjectives for light emitting diode(LED) light colors using a twofold adjective image scales from Kobayashi and I.R.I. A set of psychophysical experiments using category judgment was conducted in an LED light color simulation system, in order to evaluate each emotion scale coordinate for those test light colors in both adjective image scales. In total, 49 test light colors from a combination of 6 color series were assessed by 15 human observers. As a result, Kobayashi adjective image scale clearly expressed to emotion adjectives of 'Dynamic', 'Casual', 'Chic', 'Cool-casual', 'Modern', and 'Natural' for different hues. In contrast, I.R.I adjective image scale expressed only 2 adjectives of 'dynamic' and 'luxurious' for the all hues.

The artificial lights to be introduced for the plant factories is requiring the artificial light resources with minimizing the energy consumption to reduce the greenhouse gases which is a major cause of global warming, and maximizing the efficiency in photosynthesis effect light-wave range, in which the plants can be greatly grown and developed, and having the signal light-wave range for forming the light types. the best growing and developing environment for the plants has recently realized with utilizing the LED(Lighting Emitting Diode) lamps, as a environment-friendly green lamps, which can elevating the light efficiency with using only the specific light wave range. In this study, to provide the necessary lights for the full artificial light type of the plant factory, the following research/study and experiments has been conducting. experiments of the spectrum for each light sources, and LED, The intensity of illumination, Irradiance, Photosynthesis Photon Flux Density.
A Study on the Characteristic of Contactless Power Supply System for Operation Pattern of Stocker System

In this paper, material handing cleanroom stocker system for thin film solar cell line of photovoltaic industry and liquid crystal display line of flat panel display industry was selected for the study. Optimum solution for stocker system's CPS(Contactless Power Supply) is approached by changing the motion pattern, optimizing design & production, and analyzing characteristics of the power system. As a result, acceleration time of X-Axis changed from 3 sec to 4 sec, changed the input characteristic of CPS within approximately 11[kW]. This result shows that extending acceleration time of the X-Axis in Stocker Crane's motion pattern can reduce the capacity of the CPS, thus saving the manufacturing cost.

Though Korea has introduced CBP(Cost Based pool) power trading system since 2001, long-term Generation system planning has been executed by government for Cost minimization every 2 years. Until currently the model which is used for Generation system planning and best-mix only considers cost minimization and total yearly or quarterly electricity demand every year. In a view point of one day power supply operation, technical characteristics, like the ramp up/down rate of total generation system, minimum up/down time and GFRQ(Governor Free Response Quantity), are very important. this paper analyzes Optimal Fuel-Mix for 2022 Korea generation system satisfying these constraints of each fuel type and considering pump storage plants, construction cost and
emission charge Using MILP(Mixed Integer Linear Programming) method. Also the sensitivity analysis which follows in future power industry environmental change accomplished.
Economic Evaluation Method for Photovoltaic System Development using Insolation Data Analysis

Recently, interests in renewable energy have gradually increased. Of various renewable energy, Photovoltaic system has the properties affected by weather. This paper discusses the economic evaluation based on insolation data analysis. Real insolation data were obtained by radiation measurement device installed in projected photovoltaic system site during 20 months. Obtained real insolation data were standardized using clear day analysis. Standardized data are greater than obtained real insolation data and were used as parameters of RETScreen for the economic evaluation. In results, capacity(30[kW]) of soon cheon is shown the most B/C(1.20). Applied methods have effectively done to develop photovoltaic system.
Optimal Current Detect MPPT Control of PV System for Robust with Environment Changing

This paper proposes the optimal current detect(OCD) maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic(PV) system for robust with environment changing. The output characteristics of the solar cell is a nonlinear and affected by a temperature, the solar radiation and temperature. Conventional MPPT control methods are tracked the maximum power point by constant incremental value. So these methods are slow the response speed and generated the vibration in steady state and cannot track the MPP in environment condition changing. And power loss is generated because of the self-excitation vibration in MPP region. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the novel control algorithm. Proposed algorithm is detected the optimal current in two control region using the output power and current curve. Detected current is used the converter switching for tracking the MPP. Proposed algorithm is compared output power error to conventional algorithm with radiation and temperature changing. In addition, the validity of the algorithm is proved through the output error response characteristics.
A Study on the Circuit Breaker Transient Recovery Voltages on Large Commercial Customer using EMTP-RV Program

In electric power system, the circuit breaker is not operated when the higher voltage then the rated TRV(transient Recovery Voltage) appeared in the circuit breaking, The TRV of a circuit breaker means the characteristics of reignition by the arc between two poles. and is decided by the value of connecting Impedance. In this paper we of carried out many kinds of experiments varying the types of bus, the types of installation, the length of installation between 22.9 [kV] level circuit breaker and MTR in general 154/22.9[kV] system, We also simulated the characteristics of TRV using EMTP-RV program. The suitability of TRV in assessed by Uc, RRRV(Rate of Rise of Recovery Voltage) which are defined by the international guide, IEC62271-100. The values of RRRV gained from the cable-made bus are 590[%] lesser than those from the NSPB-made bus respectively. So the triangled type is more rational in the aspect of TRV.
A Study on the Biofouling Control in Membrane Processes Using High Voltage Impulse

Although membrane technologies are widely applied to the water and wastewater treatment processes, strategy for the control of membrane biofouling is strongly required. In this study, a possibility of control of membrane biofouling using HVI(High Voltage Impulse) was verified based on the inactivation of microorganisms by the HVI. The HVI system was consisted of power supply, voltage amplifier, impulse generator and disinfection chamber and the model microorganism was E. coli. When 15[kV/cm] of electric fields was applied to the E. coli solution, inactivation of the microorganism was found. A possibility of the control of membrane biofouling using HVI was verified with experiments of membrane filtration with and without exposure of the HVI to biomass solution. Another membrane filtration experiments with the contaminated membranes by E. coli solution were carried out and indicate that the HVI could be used as an alternative method for membrane biofouling control. A series of simulation of the electric fields between electrodes and microorganisms was carried out for the visualization of the disinfection that showed where the electric fields are formed.
Development of Novel Algorithm for Anti-Islanding of Grid-Connected PV Inverter

This paper proposes novel algorithm for anti-islanding of grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) inverter. The islanding of PV systems can cause a variety of problems such as deterioration in power quality and electric shock. To prevent islanding, many anti-islanding methods are researched. Typical methods of anti-islanding are active frequency drift(AFD) and active frequency drift positive feedback(AFDPF). However, the AFD has problem that widely exists non diction zone(NDZ). The AFDPF is a method that improves the AFD method and is detected islanding by changing the chopping fraction(cf). However, The AFDPF does not detect when cf is very small and does not satisfy the IEEE Std. 929-2000 when cf is very big. Therefore, this paper proposes novel anti-islanding method that is simple to implement using virtual resister. The anti-islanding method proposed in this paper is compared with conventional method. The validity of this paper is proved using this result.
Harmonics Measurement of Evaluation of KJ Road Tunnel Installations

Nonlinear loads including lighting fixtures generate harmonic currents and create distortions on the sinusoidal voltage of the power system. Harmonic field measurements have shown that the harmonic contents of a waveform varies with time. A cumulative probabilistic approach is the most commonly used method to solve time varying harmonics. In this paper the time varying harmonics of lighting loads are evaluated by international harmonic standards(IEC 61000-3-6).
Evaluation of the Impacts of SPD Connecting Lead Lengths and SPD Protection Distance to the Apparatus in Apartments

The proper installation of SPD and the evaluation of the SPD protection distance are basic steps for the effective protection measures of apparatus against surges within a structure. A novel method for installing SPD on the conventional distribution board without any modification was proposed and it's effectiveness was evaluated by experiments. Also, the transient overvoltage occurred across the power line from the SPD to the load was simulated with EMTP software to see how different the protection distances affecting the magnitude of the transient overvoltage. As evaluated, the effective protection method of apparatus against surges, coordinated SPD protection system is suggested as a proper measure to protect within the apartment.
The Study on the Actual Examination of the Bidirectional Protection Device in the 22.9[kV] Distribution Power System Interconnected with the DG

The existing power flow has a single direction to the line end but the bidirectional power flow will possibly occur depending on the output capacity in the 22.9[kV] distribution power system connected with the dispersed generation(DG). So these characteristics would influence the power system management. The DG have many advantages such as assistance source, Load share etc. So the utility must apply the bidirectional protection system so as to maximize an advantage of DG. This paper describes the field test case of bidirectional protective device in order to investigate the device performance when applied to bidirectional power system. We have tested in the power system test site of KEPCO and these tests provide the basis for performance verification test of bidirectional protective device in the power system.
Development of Components and Installation Techniques of Air-termination System on the Metal Roof in Apartments

Apartments covered with a metal roof made from galvalume steel are prevailing due to their economic and technical advantages. The metal roof, however, has disadvantages in terms of the installation of air-termination system on it because of the slip thickness of the metal roof. In this paper, the impacts of the lightning current to a metal roof were verified experimentally with a short lightning impulse current (10/350[
]). Also, we developed various supporters of air-termination conductor for the metal roof and verified their excellent workability and economical strength through field application test.
Characteristics of Hydrogen Production from Methanol and Ethanol Using Plasma Reactor and Ozone Decomposition Catalyst

In this work, the effect of the initial concentration of methanol and ethanol, and the addition of oxygen molecules were discussed to improve the hydrogen generation using non-thermal plasma reactor effectively. In addition, the effect of ozone decomposition catalyst of manganese dioxide and its quantity was investigated. First, hydrogen concentration increased until an initial concentration of about 40,000[ppm] of methanol and thereafter it was saturated. Henceforth, hydrogen concentration decreased with increasing the oxygen percent on the carrier gas of nitrogen about both substances. Related with the effect of catalyst, it increased upto 60[g], but it was not changed largely after that. Consequently, it is confirmed that the hybrid process using plasma process and catalytic surface chemical reaction is a very promising way to increase the efficiency of hydrogen generation as investigated in this work.
Status Analysis and Activating Plan of Home Network for the Elderly

The home network, contributing to improve the quality of life in dwelling, has expanded its installation and use in past years, but the elderly care system supporting self-reliance is not fully prepared. Although the aging society in Korea is progressing rapidly, inducting and spreading home network system is still required supporting of 'Aging in Place' for the elderly. This research is based the survey of spatial characteristics of housing of the elderly. Also, the research studied the technical level and policy of home network in domestic and abroad and analyze the professional view of experts in the home network field, as a result, suggested methods of building and activating the home network system.
