Recently medical facilities that can help to heal the interpretation have evolved as a healing space. Accordingly, the patient`s emotional, psychological and social ward plan to meet the needs of the patient to recover is important. The medical team is also related to the nature of human life, so they are experiencing high stress levels compared to other professionals. However, most places don`t consider the user`s psychological behavior. The purpose of this study is to build user-friendly lighting environment using LED lighting. LED lighting is easy to adjust illuminance and color temperature, and it is can be implemented in the medical area.

PSALI is referred to the supplementary lighting for the interior lighting under the daily lighting situation, and pursuant to the pertinent regulations in energy savings design standard and others in recent architecture works, the importance thereof has been increasing gradually coupled with the energy performance index (EPI), energy savings plan and the like as well as expansion of submittal and implementation policies. However, this type of PSALI studies indeed have a number of limitations since it has surrounding environmental conditions in direction, season, region, climate, time, opening rate, window area ratio, actual index, reflection rate of finishing materials and others in the architecture work as well as frequent changes in interior lighting environment for variables in daily light volume flowing into the interior, and others. Therefore, this study has analyzed existing advance research cases to produce the actual-sized model and scaled-down model, and installed the artificial lighting of LED light source possible to reproduce with same capability on both models. As a result of comparison and analysis of the artificial lighting with the key light, it has certain level of error rate from the scaled down lighting device in certain rate and actual model butit was noticeably significant within specific scope.
Calculation and Regulation Proposal of Light Pollution from Road Lightings

This is a study to establish regulations against light pollution for lighting on roads. Many kinds of light pollution by luminaire on roads was calculated and analyzed by applying the classification method of luminaires(Cut-off classification of IDA-IESNA, BUG Rating Classification) and the calculation method of Upward Lighting Ratio of CIE among measures to prevent light pollution that international lighting organizations suggest. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the regulation by Cutoff of IESNA and ULR classification of CIE could be one for scattered light of light pollution compared to BUG classification but is not sufficient for the regulation of light tresspass or glare. BUG classification by each lighting zone was suggested as threshold value of the light pollution regulation considering domestic conditions.
A Study on the Control Standards and an Environmental Lighting Zone-Setting method for Making Light Pollution Management

This study aims to suggest some problems, which occur when environmental lighting zone is set by use-zone only, by comparing and analyzing the artificial illumination luminance. In addition, this study aims to review the control standards of light pollution and to suggest a practical environmental lighting zone-setting method. I checked out the standards of average surface luminance and luminance contrast as for light pollution management. In addition, I did some research on evaluation of light pollution on surroundings based on investigation of use-environment as for lighting environment setting method.
Thermal Dissipation Characteristics of Multi-Chip LED Packages

In order to understand the thermal performance of each LED chips in multi-chip LED package, a quantitative parametric analysis of the temperature evolution was investigated by thermal transient analysis. TSP (Temperature Sensitive Parameter) value was measured and the junction temperature was predicted. Thermal resistance between the p-n junction and the ambient was obtained from the structure function with the junction temperature evolution during the cooling period of LED. The results showed that, the thermal resistance of the each LED chips in 4 chip-LED package was higher than that of single chip- LED package.
Proposal of Lighting Power Density for Road Lighting

The design of road lighting is aiming illuminance and luminance requirements for road lighting. In the process, various factors associated with luminaires such as luminous efficacy, light distribution, mounting height, spacing and maintenance factor are considered. However, there has been no restriction on lighting power density. In this study, lighting power density has been comparatively analyzed through a study of related data and a result of measurements on domestic roads. And, it has been analyzed by simulation results for road in which lighting conditions are variable. In terms of the limitation on power density for road lighting, road lighting can be designed using high efficacy lighting systems for energy saving.

A Study on Reliability Analysis for Reliability Testing ＆ Field Degradation Data of LED Lighting

LED lightings typically do not fail catastrophically during use. However, over time the light output will gradually depreciate. Even if there are same LED lighting, they are so different at all. because of dissimilar the use and environment of each LED lighting. In this paper, we make a description of reliability analysis procedures for the degradation data using collected field data. Reliability analysis procedures are consisted of estimating degradation models and failure time, verification of distribution and parameters of the distribution, and reliability measures estimation. At some point in time, the light emitted from an LED lightings depreciates to a level where it is no longer considered adequate for a specific application.
A Study for the Control of Various Luminous Intensity Distribution in Numerical Model of Planar Prism LED Luminaire

There are several technological problems have to be resolved for LEDs to be used as a general purpose light source. In addition, there are several differences between existing luminaires and the general planer LED luminaire for the intensity distribution. Therefore, the optical engineer then faces the challenging a problem of designing for a spatially extended and non-uniform light source. In the previous studies on the optical design of luminaires, a lot of studies on reflectors and light source have been conducted but the ones on prisms and lenses are insufficient at present. This study developed the numerical model of planar prism LED luminaire to control luminous intensity distribution of LED luminaires. And this study presents an optical calculation process for the prism optical design of a planar prism LED luminaire and a comparison of the simulation results between the developed numerical model and Photopia 2.0 to verify the accuracy of the numerical model. In addition, this study showed a method for the control of various luminous intensity distribution from the developed numerical model.
Development of Local Driving System for Flat LED Lamp Using Ultrasonic Sensors Array

A method obtaining position data(x, y) of object accurately is proposed by using a pair of ultrasonic sensors composed of one transmitter and two receivers. And the driving system which controls the light of flat LED lamp locally using array of ultrasonic sensors (3 transmitters and 6 receivers) is developed. As a result, measured values of y are relatively reliable due to its small average of absolute errors of 1.03[cm]. The measured values of x have average error of 8.52[cm], and it is a large value. However, the average error is decreased by 0.65[cm] after applying algorithm for error correction. The experiments to control the light of flat LED lamp locally with algorithm for error correction are carried out. From the result, measured values of x with average error of 0.97[cm] are obtained and they are very good approximations of actual values.
A Study on the Program Analyzing the Arc Phenomena in Gas Circuit Breaker

A computational approach was developed to understand about the arc quenching process in a gas circuit breaker(GCB). This approach is a program to analyze the gas flow in the breaker. The arc is processed at the same time. The program was used the so-called FLIC method for gas analysis techniques. It was referenced that the arc is interpreted the `a Simplified Enthalpy Flow Arc Model`. In order to validate about the results of the program, a Auto Puffer GCB was chosen as the test subject. Because, the breaker is the one that arc current is interrupted by using the arc heating. And also, the current interrupting capability can be obtained only owing to the positive utilization(auto puffer) of the clogging phenomenon, without other puffer actions. In this paper, it has been realized that the entire arc quenching process is computerized, which is based on the self-flow current interruption by the auto puffer action. This program, which was verified through experiments, produced good results.
Sensorless control of the Next Generation High Speed Drive System in low speed region

In this paper, a sensorless speed control system is designed for the next generation high speed railway at zero and low speed region. The applied vector control scheme is a maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) method to utilize reluctance torque of IPMSM. The designed sensorless control scheme is a rotating high frequency voltage signal injection method. To verify the designed system, a simulator for the vector controller and sensorless controller is implemented using Matlab/simulink.
An Analysis of Potential Interference Effects in the Vicinity of Ground Rod Depending on Frequency of Ground Currents

When the ground current is injected into the adjacent ground electrode, the potential interference is caused between ground electrodes, the ground potential interferences have been largely studied with power frequency fault currents. Many attempts to find the frequency-dependent grounding impedance report that the high frequency grounding impedance is very different with the ground resistance. This paper presents experimental data on the frequency-dependent potential interference effects in the vicinity of ground rod. The ground potential rises around the test ground rod of 4 or 6[m] were measured and discussed. As a result, the ground potential rises and potential interference factor are decreased with decreasing the grounding impedance. It was found that the lowering of grounding impedance is critical to reduce the ground potential interference effects.
A Development on the software of Train Control and Monitoring System(TCMS) for Subway Train

TCMS is the most important controller in the subway train for reliable train control and service oriented flexibility. TCMS software charges communications and control of train and maintains control devices so we use QNX for real-time control. This paper introduces overall software development of TCMS using various diagrams. Software implementation details in TC and CC are explained using deployment diagram through train configuration. Driving control process among many processes is focused to present implement details which controls train by driver or automatic train operation and handles commands to control deriving devices in cars. Reliable operation of train and easy maintenance process is achieved through the same hardware in train control computer and car control computer.

An utilization of electricity usage measured data by region and time through the consumer portal system for building and large consumer are suggested. Electricity usage data by region and time can`t be measured by traditional approach. A measured data from smart meters which are installed various regions can be utilized to set up a management of electricity peak demand.
An Analysis on Resultant Ground Impedance Based on the Potential Interference Of Parallel Ground Rods

Multiple ground rods are commonly used to obtain the low ground impedance, but they will not reduce the ground impedance unless the spacings between the ground rods are sufficient. This paper presents the experimental results of frequency-dependent resultant ground impedance of two ground rods in parallel. The resultant ground impedance of two ground rods in parallel were measured as functions of the spacing and length of ground rods and the frequency of test currents and were discussed based on the potential interferences. As a consequence, the frequency-dependent ground impedance of single ground rod and two combined ground rods give capacitive. It was found that the effect of potential interference on the ground impedance is directly associated with the frequency-dependent ground impedance and is strong in low frequency. Also, in order to reduce the increasing rate of resultant ground impedance of two ground rods due to potential interference to within 10(%), two ground rods in parallel will be placed over one rod length apart.
Study of Fire Appraisal Method According to Electrical Fire Hazards of Hair Dryer

In this study, investigation and appraisal method for the scene of a fire according to electrical fire hazards of hair dryer which is usually used at living space are presented. Hair dryer is briefly composed of heating part, wind part and control part. Electrical fire hazards of hair dryer are insulation destruction of power cord, ignition by overheat of heating coil, scattering spark on inside dust, overheat of motor by fan shackle, ignition by carelessness of user, and so on. Fire cause by hair dryer can be perceived through investigation about half-disconnection of power cord, contact badness of power plug, verification of heating coil, fan and switch. These results are expected to be utilized effectively in a countermeasure to prevent an electrical fire by hair dryer.
K-Grid Integrated Data Modeling and Data Exchange Protocol Design and Evaluation

To be integrated into the IEC 61970-based K-Grid, application of open communication protocol and sub-system modeling to major nodes is needed. In this paper, a module which links load nodes in customers to CIM based on psXML/oBIX, one of open protocols, was developed and data modeling and communication protocols of IEC 61850-7-42 based DER and ESS which apply the module to the customers who have DER and ESS were designed. Also the XML-based distributed database middleware was designed. The proposed modeling and protocols were applied to the building in which commercial DER products and the effectiveness of the proposed data modeling and the communication protocol were evaluated.
