Research on the Characteristics of the Light Trespass using by RELUX Program According to the Spatial Position of the Road Lightings in Residential Area Near Road

The road lightings have made our living environment safe and active, since it was first installed in 1900 in Korea. As the industry developed, various kind of road lightings have been installed in an outdoor area. But the spilt light from the road lightings have caused health problem like the sleeplessness, the depression, the failure to thrive and the nearsightedness to children. The light trespass caused by road lightings vary with the height of road lightings, the distance from road lightings to the window and the BUG rating of road lightings. In this paper, we analyze the effect on the light trespass by the spatial installation position of road lightings using by RELUX program. And we derive the characteristics of the light trespass according to the spatial installation position of the road lightings in residential area near road.
A Study on direction of LED Lighting Color development through analysis of the Daylighting

The purpose of this study is to present the direction of LED lighting development to give people a comfortable feeling. For about 2 years, the database of daylighting color has been built by daylighting measurement and analysing hourly, monthly and seasonal change in daylighting colors. Finally, changes of color coordinates were drawn as a graph and it presented as the LED lighting color development indicator through the relationship with Plankian locus. This methodology is expected to contribute to the development fields of the LED lighting color.
The Study of domestic application for the Guideline of Model Outdoor Lighting Ordinance

The outdoor lighting is provided for a variety of purposes, for work or recreation, for safety or security, for amenity and for advertising or display. But the effects of lighting on the natural environment can be difficult to quantify. At present, in many countries, various policies to manage the light trespass from outdoor light have been planned. For example, Model Lighting Ordinance(MLO) will allow communities to drastically reduce light pollution and glare and lower excessive light levels. The recommended practices of the IES can be met using readily available, reasonably priced lighting equipment. So, it this paper, we analyze the effect of road lighting on light trespass using by RELUX program. And then we consider the possibility of practical application of BUG rating in Korea.
TMOV MPPT Control of PV System with Temperature Measurement based Optimal Voltage

The characteristics of I-V and P-V of solar cell nonlinearly changes according to irradiation, temperature and load. Therefore, to use efficiently PV system, operating point must be always operating at maximum power point. Also, PV system is semiconductor, so it generates loss by temperature. But because of conventional MPPT methods are not considering temperature, it has problem which decrease efficiency. This paper proposes temperature measurement based optimal voltage(TMOV) MPPT algorithm using temperature measurement based optimal voltage. It analyzes characteristics of solar cell according to irradiation and temperature and conventional MPPT methods. The TMOV control algorithm proposed in this paper is compared and analyzed conventional MPPT methods. The validity of this paper proves using this result.
A Study and Development of the Wind Turbine System for Rated Revolutions and Rated Output using Fluid Torque Converter

Most of existing wind turbine system is used with geared type; however, this type has lots of problems which are noisy, weight, maintenance and so on. In this paper, wind turbine system with fluid torque converter applied to solve these problems. In case of the proposed wind turbine system, it is possible to transmit torque to adaptable distance. So various sets including generator, inverter and auxiliary motor move from the nacelle to the ground. As a result, Total weight in Nacelle can be decreased. however, the efficiency can be decreased with fluid torque system. We also applied auxiliary motor to fluid torque system. So, we also realized rated revolutions and rated output windturbine and could get considerable good data.
Design of J-Class Amplifier with High Efficiency

In this paper designed J-class amplifier that have high efficiency using parasitic of pHEMT. Measured results of the designed J-class amplifier is maxmum output power of 31.5dBm and gain of 16.5dB, minimum output power of 29.8dBm. when input power 15dBm. Maxmum drain efficiency is 76.2% at 2.95GHz, maxmum drain efficiency is 61%. The J-class amplifier has average gain of 15.35dB and average efficiency of 35%.
A Study on the Reliability of DVR in a 3-Phase Phase-Controlled Rectifier

This study investigated the relationship between the response time of DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer) and the possible compensation range for voltage dips by the DVR system which protects the 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier from said dips. As a result, the permissible range of voltage dip is presented in a 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier. When the DVR compensates for voltage dip, the range of voltage dip can be compensated according to the DVR's response time. Using the proposed method, DVR response time can be determined from the parameters of the 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier and the possible compensatory range of voltage dip, while at the same time it is possible to use a control system having an appropriate speed. Therefore, the use of excessively fast equipment can be avoided, improving the stability of the overall system. The reliability of the DVR concerning the 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier can be verified by simulation.
New Secondary Battery Charger/Discharger Available for Zero Voltage Discharge

This paper proposes a new secondary battery charger/discharger available for zero voltage discharge which is used for test equipments and formation process. The proposed system is a switching type converter, and thus the system is high efficiency and more compact as compared with linear type charger/discharger. Conventional switching type charger/discharger can not discharge secondary batteries to zero voltage because of voltage drops in the switching elements and long distributing line(typically 10m). However, the proposed system is able to discharge the battery to zero voltage in constant current mode regardless of the voltage drops. In this paper, we analyze the proposed charger/discharger and the validity of the system is verified by simulation and experiment.
Analysis on the Operational Characteristic between the Protective devices and Superconducting Fault Current Limiter with a Peak Current Limiting Function in the Power Distribution System

In this paper, the operational characteristics due to the introduction of the superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) with a peak current limiting function were analyzed in the power distribution system. The parallel structure of the superconducting element can operate the peak current limiting function depending on the transient amplitude of fault current. We studied the operating characteristics of the introduction of the SFCL with a peak current limiting function in the power distribution system. Furthermore, we were analyzed between the SFCL with a peak current limiting function and the protection devices in the power distribution system, through the short circuit experiments.

It is well known that the stator-flux-oriented induction motor drives are not dependent on parameter detuning in constant torque region except low speed range. This paper presents parameter detuning effects of stator-flux-oriented induction motor drives in constant torque region. The detuning effects of stator resistance, rotor resistance and rotor leakage inductance are analyzed.
A Development of Surface Permanent Mount Synchronous Generator for 5 Phase 5KW

This paper propose a development of surface permanent mount synchronous generator(SPMSG) for 5-phase 5Kw in order to study a polyphase ac machinery that keep hold of advantages more than traditional three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor, such as reducing a amplitude of torque pulsation decreasing electric noises, and increasing the reliability. Design methods of the generator use a development tools with Maxwell 2D and Simplorer. There are designed drawing of manufactured frames of the SPMSG. A amplitude and waveform of the generated electromotive force, FFT analysis of harmonics within output voltages, and reviewing a experiment results are shown by variable output frequency. We are presenting a design and manufacture methods for the SPMSG.
Rolling Process Automation For Uniform Thickness of Dough Sheet of Ramen Noddles

The basic processing unit for instant ramen noodles includes mixing, rolling, boiling, frying, cooling, and packing processes. For uniform thickness of dough sheets in rolling process, the roll-gap in rolling process needs to keep uniform thickness of flour sheets in spite of different kinds of raw materials. In this paper, we have developed a roll gap adjustment system using a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) with a touch panel and an AC servo-mechanism to make dough sheets with a good gluten starch-network structure and uniform thickness and to contribute to process standardization by transferring from tacit knowledge of skilled workers to explicit knowledge. The developed system can adjust the roll gap in units of 0.01mm and correspond to various product items which have different thickness specification by recalling the presetting values of the desired thickness from database.

Flexible organic thin film solar cell device with Bulk Hetero-Junction (BHJ) structure was fabricated with blended conjugated polymer of PCDTBT :
as active layer. Surface of ITO anode for the organic solar cell device was treated with ozone. The organic solar cell device with bare ITO showed short circuit current density (

A Study on Fault Characteristic According Open Fault of Synchronous Motor

Recently, permanent magnet synchronous motor are applied to various applications. Because of the importance of high reliable operation in these areas, many research related to the fault detection and diagnosis of inverter system are conducted. So, a faults model for an inverter-driven permanent magnet synchronous motor is studied by using the fault current of motor according to switch open, which can be effectively used for performance evaluation of the diagnostic algorithm. And fault of the permanent magnet synchronous motor inverter drive system is divided into four types. The feasibility of the proposed method are improved by simulation and experiment.
