A Study About Fact Influence on Performance at Indoor Visible Light Communication

Wireless Visible Light Communication is the technology that enables communication using LED illumination Infrastructure instead of existing illumination such as incandescent lamp or fluorescent light. Because VLC uses light for communication, it has no problem of frequency permission and is harmless to human body. It is also possible to check the communication through eye. So VLC can be used as a supplement to the Radio Frequency communication, Infrared in indoor environment. So far, researchers on the LED Visible light communication have focused on the increasing transmission speed, transmission distance, modulation method. However, there is few research of main factors that influence on system performance. System performance has been mainly predicted through simulation. In this paper, I recognized that these factors such as outside light noise, obstacle, LED panel position or emitted angle have a great impact on wireless communication system. So I experimented VLC system by changing distance and position to discover location suitable for BER regulation.
The Application of Monitoring System Methods of Photovoltaic-Wind Power Generation for Railway Switching Point Heating Using LabVIEW

The monitoring system is an absolutely required system for improving a performance to consider the situation for the hybrid generation of the photovoltaic (PV) and wind power (WP) energy experimental research complex. This system is to monitor with the railroad switching point heating system using LabVIEW to the hybrid generation of the PV and WP. The monitoring system of this paper is a program monitoring the hour, day and total of the voltage and current that made from the hybrid generation of PV and WP. In experiment, we acquired the power data according to time at the day of PV and WP. We have confirmed the possibility of the real time monitoring system using LabVIEW with the railroad switching point heating system as the hybrid generation of the PV and WP.
A Study on the Efficiency of LED Lighting Applied by Direct AC Power Using Magnetic Resonance Wireless Power Transfer System

In this paper, wireless power transfer system using the magnetic resonance was designed and applied to LED lighting for implementation of wireless lighting. This lighting was made by the converted DC driving type and the direct AC driving type. In the former, transferred AC power was rectified into DC and regulated to the specified voltage value, which leads to produce the loss at the rectifying and regulating circuit. In the latter, wireless-transferred AC power was directly applied to LED, which get rid of the loss derived from the additional circuit. For the efficiency-comparison between the former and the latter, the power at each stage was measured when the same optical output radiated from LED lighting part. The result revealed that the direct AC driving type had 18% higher efficiency than the DC driving type and confirmed that LED lighting using magnetic resonance wireless power transfer system can be efficient by direct AC power supply. And the direct AC driving type had the simple circuit structure and the simple LED lighting formation, so this can leads to various application.
The Survey of Fire Hazard of Fan in Manufacturing Industries

The short circuit and overload is presented by main cause of electrical fire. However, 85% of the fan directly connected the outlet box without switch in total 110 fans as a research in manufacturing industries. In installation direction of vertical type fans which was placed on the horizontal surface, only 39 vertical type fans were placed on vertical surface and 71 fans were placed on the horizontal type. The installation direction of the fans warns of the risk of the fire hazard due to the motor stall to the user manual of the maker. However, it is the representative nonconformity example of construction which the people or builder disregards. In addition, the condition of ground connection with the earth leakage prevention was investigated in grounding of 5 fans, non-grounding of 105 fans. The double insulation structure is generally used for small fan and it can't connect ground wire as electric plug of non-grounding type. However, industrial iron fan needs ground wire for electric leakage and to protect against electric shock.
Analysis of Shielding Effectiveness and Estimation of Shielding Factor in Conductive and Magnetic Shields

In this study the method based on flux linkage in cell was introduced in calculation of eddy currents by cell method. According to this method eddy current distribution and the loss can be evaluated and since the shielding effectiveness by flux cancelation of eddy current can be analyzed, this method is applicable to design of conductive shield. And also the formula of shielding factor were so deduced as to be applicable to finite-width infinite-length shielding sheets and infinite-length underground cable shield. These formula are adaptable to magnetic materials as well as conductive materials. As the results of calculation in model shields are follows. In case of finite-width infinite-length shielding sheet, shielding effectiveness increases with increasing of conductivity. In case of infinite-length underground cable shield, the effectiveness become higher with increasing of permeability. Especially the effectiveness is very high in materials with both high conductivity and permeability in underground cable shield.
CIM-Based System For Real-Time Voltage Stability Analysis

There is a wide variety of system and applications in the power system. However, they have compatibility issues because they use different data standard and communication method. With the introduction of the smart grid, power system has been grow and diversified. Therefore power system need to be compatible with each other and the interoperability between applications is increasingly important. Thus, the IEC established IEC61970 and CIM Standard data exchange model for interoperability and system integration. Server-Client system was constructed which using CIM HSDA(Part4), a standard communication model, presented in IEC 619710. Also, self-developed real-time voltage stability analysis application and contingency analysis application was used. CIM HSDA was used for data input and real-time analysis. Tolerance of result which is in the range of allowable derived by Perform real-time voltage stability and contingency analysis of Jeju power system, and then compare it's result with PSS/E result.
A Study on Cluster Head Selection Based on Distance from Sensor to Base Station in Wireless Sensor Network

In Wireless Sensor Network, clustering scheme is used to prolong the lifetime of WSN by efficient usage of energy of sensor. In the distributed clustering protocol just like LEACH, every sensor in a network plays a cluster head role once during each epoch. So the FND is prolonged. But, even though every sensor plays a head role, the energy consumed by each sensor is different because the energy consumed increases according to the distance to the Base Station by the way of multiple increase. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to select a head depending on the distance to Base Station, which extends the timing of FND occurrence by 68% compared to the LEACH and makes network stable.
Development of Boost Type Bidirectional DC/DC Converter with High Efficiency For EV using an Interleave Method

This paper proposes the boost type bidirectional DC/DC converter with high efficiency for electric vehicle using an interleave method. This interleave method can reduce the system size because it reduces the ripple of output voltage and input current with no add to extra filter. Proposed system is consist of two converters and applies to interleaved method through phase shift to each converter. And it implements the high boost through voltage double and series construction of output port. Also, it reduces the price and increases the efficiency as operating the ZCS by leakage inductance of transformer and capacitor of voltage double with not add special reactor. Proposed DC/DC converter using interleave method is proved the validity through the result of PSIM simulation and experiment of 5kW DC/DC converter.
A Study on Signal Circuit of the Self Diagnosis Type Triple Infrared Flame Detector

There is needed the triple pyroelectric Infrared flame detector to really recognize problem, for the prevention and early suppression of fire. This system recognizes the characteristics of fire sources in various type and is communicated the message to the operators. Therefore, the prevention and early suppression of fire is available. Especially this paper focuss on development of the self diagnosis type flame detector for preventing malfunction comparing of basic and detected values.
Improvement of Power Consumption of Automatic Quiescent Power Cut-off Receptacle by Developing Latch Relay

The automatic quiescent power cut-off receptacles(QPCR from now on) have achieved a noticeable energy saving so far. The government is preparing a new code for wider promotion of the QPCRs. This paper presents a new QPCR that adopts the latch relay instead of the conventional coil-operated relay. Measurement results of the prototype have shown up to 0.22W improvement of quiescent power compared with existing products.
Development of Multi Data Acquisition and Analysis Device for Tracked Vehicle Using SBC

Recently it is becoming more common to apply vehicle electronics(Vetronics) based on information technology to improve the operability of the combat vehicles. Although the vehicle electronics system has been gradually developed, it is hard not only to design the reliable system which is a built-in multi-function but also to analyze the fault failure in the state of on-vehicle when failures occur. Therefore, It is required the data logging system like a aircraft's black box for the combat vehicles to enhance the reliability. In this paper, we developed the multi data acquisition and analysis device which is acquiring real-time data such as communication data, video data and voice data available for checking operational status of system and managing history. The performance of device has been proved on the vehicle.

In studies on an alternative insulating gas of
gas, the section of the alternative gas and an insulation technique to improve its low dielectric strength have been reported, but very few attempts have been made at the dependence of a gas pressure and a gap as well as the medium effect in the alternative gas. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the dependence of the gas pressure and the gap at surface flashover voltage in dry air. The dependence is analyzed based on the medium effect. The medium effect by the gas pressure and the gap can be explained by surface roughness of a solid dielectric and an electrode as well as an electric field which decreases due to the correlation between the collision ionization coefficient and the gap, respectively. In addition, an insulation technique which can fabricate a compact eco-friendly gas insulated switchgear is proposed by the results of this paper.
Study of High Efficiency LLC Resonant Converter for a Battery Charger of Emergency Electric Power Generator Control System

Generally, the conventional battery charging system using an analog method has the large, heavy hardware and low efficiency. Also, it has the disadvantage that it is necessary to replace the control circuit on the basis of the characteristic curve of the specific battery cell. The proposed programmable digital LLC resonant charging system use high efficiency control system(CC-CV), and has characteristic a small hardware and advantage that a digital programming of the voltage, current, and battery capacity characteristics can be flexible. The system proposed the use of Half-bridge LLC resonant converter is possible to improve efficiency and reduce switching losses by using ZVS topology. Further, a constant voltage - constant current(CC-CV) control algorithm apply to the charger which using a buck converter. The performance of the proposed system is demonstrated through experiments.
The Development and Characteristics Analysis of High Precision Monitoring Sensor for the Marine Installation

This paper proposes the new high precision monitoring sensor for the Marine Installation. Among variety of sensor network systems, wireless information transmission through the marine is one of the enabling technologies for the development of future marine-observation systems and sensor networks. Applications of marine monitoring range from oil industry to aquaculture, and include instrument monitoring, pollution control, climate recording, prediction of natural disturbances. For these marine applications to be available, however, the provision of precise location information using monitoring sensor is essential. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics for obtaining the location information of monitoring sensor is analyzed. The theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerably excellent performance for the Monitoring for the Marine Installation.
