Dynamic Performance Evaluation of New Type PSC Railroad Bridges
Choi, Sanghyun ;
Journal of The Korean Society of Disaster Information, volume 7, issue 4, 2011, Pages 259~265
After the commercial opening of the KTX in 2005, the high speed railroad has been rapidly emerged as the major transportation means due to its high energy efficiency. Recently, the government has announced its plan to build the future transportation system around the high speed railroad. Based on this policy, the existing lines as well as the lines under construction or design are planning to increase design speed. In this paper, the suitability of the mid-span PSC girder bridges for the high speed railroad is evaluated via dynamic analysis. IT, Precom, and WPC girder bridges are considered for the purpose of this study and, for comparison, the identical modeling method and the analysis technique are utilized. The performance indices used for dynamic performance evaluation are the natural frequency, the vertical displacement, the end axial displacement, track irregularity, etc. The KTX train is utilized as a dynamic load, and the dynamic analysis is performed up to the train speed of 420km/hr with the increment of 10km/hr.

Jang, Chul-Won ;
Journal of The Korean Society of Disaster Information, volume 7, issue 4, 2011, Pages 266~272
This study is focused on guard major collegians who are composed of factor in medical emergency system. In the case of cardiac failure, it is to make its basic data develop its education program of CPR which can increase the patient's survival rate before his hospitalization. The subject of study is composed of 120 persons who are 94 boy-collegians(78.3%) and 26 girl-collegians(21.7%) in sex and 66 first-grade collegians(55.0%) and 54 second-grade collegians(45.0%) in a school year. There is significant difference in the practices of artificial respiration and the thorax pressure after the education of basic CPR in sex(p<0.01). The practices of artificial respiration in boy-collegians(93.72
4.21) is higher than in girl-collegians(82.31
6.36) and the practices of thorax pressure in boy-collegians(92.45
4.44) is higher than in girl-collegians(88.08
6.49). The satisfaction degree of boy-collegians(4.33
0.59) is higher than that of girl-collegians(3.73
0.67) after theory & practice education of basic CPR(p<0.01). It is necessary to develop the education program and educate its knowledge & technology in proportion to collegians characteristics of sex and school year. Also, education authorities should develop a subject of the accident provided the practical education of CPR for guard major collegians.

Kim, Hyo-Joon ; Park, Heon-Young ; Ahn, Byung-Soo ;
Journal of The Korean Society of Disaster Information, volume 7, issue 4, 2011, Pages 273~285
This research present actual conditions on realization about safety of observable individual and country, terror countermeasure from danger of terrorism which special guards have. To achieve these purposes, 400 special guards were sampled using the convenience sampling method and collected data through questionnaire from self-administration method. the collected data are in statistics of p<.05 levels. As the result, we drew following conclusions. Special guards thought that terror might occur most in 'aircraft, rapid-transit railway, subway, and bus'. It was no difference in society demography(p>.05). In type of terror, 'bomb terror' seemed to happen most, and they recognized that biochemistry terror and factor terror, and hostage terror may happen in society demography. Purpose of terror was thought that 'political purpose' may be the biggest, and 'ideological purpose' and 'social purpose' joined the remainder. According to society demography, woman's realization about terror was higher than man in two low variables. According to age, image of terror was high in 40 more than 20. According to educational background, university graduate were higher than a high-school diploma in two low variables. According to place of work, metropolis was higher than small and medium-sized city.

Journal of The Korean Society of Disaster Information, volume 7, issue 4, 2011, Pages 286~293
Accordingly architectural structure is getting high-rise and bigger, a use of high strength and high performance concrete has been increased. High performance concrete has cons of explosion in a fire. This explosion in the fire can cause the loss of the sheath on a concrete surface, therefore it effects that increasing a rate of heat transmission between the steel bar and inner concrete. Preventing this explosion of high performance concrete in the fire, many kinds of researches are now in progressing. Typically, researches with using polypropylene-fiber and steel-fiber can prove controling the explosion, but the reduction of mobility was posed as a problem of workability. Consequently, to solve the problem as mentioned above, concrete cans secure fire resisting capacity through the using of coating liquid, including Ester-lubricant and non-ionic characteristic surfactant. This research has been drawn a ideal condition in compressive strength areas of concrete by an experiment. When applying 13mm of polyamide fiber, proper fiber mixing volume by compressive strength areas of concrete more than 2.5kg in 160MPa. These amount of a compound can control the explosion.
Efficient Methods for the Distributed Disaster Prevention Resources
Lee, Changyeol ;
Journal of The Korean Society of Disaster Information, volume 7, issue 4, 2011, Pages 294~304
Disaster prevention resources consist of persons, equipments, goods, and facilities. Specially, equipments and goods are internally managed in the regional office, and may be leased to the inter-offices. National Disaster Management System(NDMS) managed the resources in the separated system. That is, one system is managed by regional disaster prevention system, the other is managed by the central disaster prevention system which receives the data from the regional disaster prevention system. Because the regional disaster prevention system updates the resource information quarterly, it is difficult to confirm the exact information. In this study, we propose the model which makes to supply in timely the resource to the disaster using the managed resource with RFID technology. Firstly, we classified the resources based on the resource types for the easily search. After then, we defined ID and attributes information of the resources. From the information, we described the management model for the real time resource.
