Analysis of Strength Characteristics for Lightweight Soils Using Recycled Material

Lightweight soils are very economical and environment friendly materials that are valuable in field without wasting construction materials, dredged soils and clay/ silty soils during construction. Recently, the research of lightweight soils mixed with recycled material (recycled tire powder, rice husks) have been investigated. In this study the mix design factors (i.e., weight of soil, water content, foaming agent and added water) were analyzed and optimized mix design was suggested using cement content for revealing strength. For the analysis the stress-strain behavior, strength with respect to time, and experimental strength for the component of recycled material were analyzed. Finally, target strength was determined to calculate reasonable and economical mix ratio and the optimized cement content was suggested.
Conceptual Exploratory on Security Martial Arts' Spirit

The purpose of this study was to extract the spiritual characteristic factors of the security martial arts qualitatively which are emphasized in guard situation. To get the purpose of this study, 216 people who are students majored in security service, security service professionals, specialists of practical and theoretical security martial arts were selected as participants for this study. The results of this study were as follows. There were divided 4 sub-factors and 20 detailed factors. The spiritual characteristics of the security martial arts were named psychological spirit which was consisted of concentration, self-confidence, self-management, flow, and self-esteem, ethical spirit which was consisted of sacrifice, justice, royalty, peace, and sense of duty, martial arts' spirit which was consisted of courtesy, toughness, defense, balance of mind and body, and bravery, and practical spirit which was consisted of responsibility, cooperation, modesty, determination, and professionalism.
Evaluation on the Mechanical Performance of Concrete Using Entanglement Polyamide Fiber

Steel fiber is high stiffness and large weight. So, Pumping hose to rupture of the safety management is difficult. Steel fiber caused by corrosion of the deterioration of durability and high-rebound losses are needed for the improvements. Thus, the revised regulations in 2009 by a steel fiber to reinforce other materials is possible. Variety of fiber reinforcement material for concrete review of applicability is needed. Steel fiber strength than the other fibers is large and by the geometry of the fibers are attached to improve performance. However, compared to steel fiber organic fibers and low modulus of elasticity and tensile strength of fiber and agglomeration occurs in the concrete to be used as reinforcement material is difficult. In this regard, the present study as a single object in the micro-fiber bouquet sharp entanglement through make muck attach surface area, distributed fibers from surfactant of the surface enhanced polyamide fibers, steel fiber and PP fiber reinforced concrete by comparing the scene to provide a basis for the use.
Calibration of Fatigue Performance Prediction Model for Flexible Pavements Using Field Data

The main objective of this research is to calibrate the performance prediction models for the growth of fatigue cracking in multi-layered asphalt concrete pavement systems. However, the calibration factors are dependent upon the prediction model, testing method, and the laboratory loading history. A detailed study on the field data has revealed that the performance of flexible pavements is affected by both the traffic loading and the environmental cycling which is related to the age of the pavements. Thus, a composite indicator was developed in this study which utilizes both the traffic and the age information with appropriate weighting factors. Using the proposed fatigue performance model the calibration factors were also estimated through the comparisons between the field performances on fatigue cracking and the laboratory-based fatigue life.

A Study for Revising the Designation Criteria of Metropolitan Railroad Projects

There are some problems for the designation criteria of metropolitan railroad project such as the similarity between urban railroad and metropolitan railroad, and the discriminative government subsidy. In this paper, the revised designation criteria is suggested. The ratio of commuter trips over all trips should be over 5% and the radius from the CBD of the central city be below 50km for the range of metropolitan railroad. The journey speed of metropolitan railroad should be over 60km/h. The revised criteria suggested in this paper can prevent the waste of central government subsidy and raise the responsibility of the local government.

The Process of Occupational Socialization of the Court Security Team

The purposes of this study are to investigate various experience factors of the court security team's occupational socialization process and suggest basic materials which are necessary to establish educational service strategies of preliminary court security and guard. Therefore, in-depth interview and ethnographic study were conducted for 4 court securities whose career is more than 3 years. As the result, the process of occupational socialization process of the court security was divided into preparation period, adaptation period, conflict period and maturity period. In the preparation period, vision of university departments, acquisition of certificates and information of the court security team are the factors of basic stage for becoming court securities. In the adaptation period, they adapt themselves for playing their own roles sincerely and become professional manpower after being court securities, through the university educational program useful for practical duties, certificates for practical duties and occupational satisfaction. In the conflict period, they aware conflicts of the company and job stress, that court securities should experience, and endure them. In the maturity period, they are grown by one more step as court securities, through the motivation, job professionalism, occupational prospect and efforts of self-development.
Propensity Analysis of Terrorism and Political Leaders Countermeasures

This study is analysis of the existing domestic terrorism factors and suggest countermeasures for political leadership that can occur to the precautionary terror occasion of the presidential election approached 100 days in the future. An Experimental Study on the Capability of Arresting the Spread of a Fire of Fireproof Fabric Equipped over Ceiling Board of Wooden Cultural Properties

This study examines the isolation-heat performance of fire proof fabric that is equipped over ceiling board in order to secure the capability of arresting the spread of a fire at roof 'Jucsim' structure of Wooden Cultural Properties. For this examination, I conduct experiments with the model and compare two construction methods of fire proof fabric, or flat-type, folding-type. The experiments show the following results. Solid Chemical Material Site Analysis Research of Event Site

National Institute of Environmental Research has Portable FT-IR(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, A2 Technologies, U.S.A.) and Portable XRD(X-ray Diffraction, Olympus Innov-X co., U.S.A.) for the analysis of the solid sample rapidly on the spot where chemical terror accident took place and the portable equipments are operating now. However, we need a series of the analysis procedures for an efficient application of the equipments and getting the rapid analytical value about the investigation and sampling on the spot. And the accuracy of the portable equipments' analytical value is high but the application of them in an emergency is low because we are lack of the procedures about field-centered analysis and the usage. Therefore we would like to organize the result of this research about field analysis and the procedures of the solid portable equipments. And we also would like to apply it to the field of chemical terror accident.
The Analysis of Maturity on Implementation of Safety and Health Management System in a Construction Company

Actual condition by items based on the level of execution of Construction Company certified by Construction Safety and Health Management Systems (KOSHA 18001) was investigated, analyzed and evaluated reflecting various opinions fincluding safety experts, top management, audit experts, and construction engineers. Currently, the maintenance is being managed through internal audit after the safety and health management system has been certified, but it is difficult to identify the degree of continuous improvement. In order to present the standards to see the level of quantified system, this study was conducted. The purpose of this study is to present the system maturity evaluation tool to be used to reduce occupational accidents through proper establishment and continuous improvement of national health and safety management system. Results of this study are summarized through identification of current condition of implementation of KOSHA 18001 system, development of maturity measurement tool and verification as follows: First, priority of implementation for activities of headquarters and on-site was determined by importance of activities such as the risk assessment, safety and health accident prevention activities, performance assessment and monitoring, resource management and support, and management review and improvement in order. In addition, the expert group presented that association with continuous improvement activities could establish the system by presenting strengths, weaknesses and improvement subjects of system.
