A Simulation of 3-D Navigation System of the Helicopter based on TRN Using Matlab

This study has been carried for the development of the basic algorithm of helicopter navigation system based on TRN (Terrain Referenced Navigation) with information input from the GPS. The helicopter determines flight path due to Origination-Destination analysis on the Cartesian coordinate system of 3-D DTM. This system shows 3-D mesh map and the O-D flight path profile for the pilot's acknowledgement of the terrain, at first. The system builds TCF (terrain clearance floor) far the buffer zone upon the surface of ground relief to avid the ground collision. If the helicopter enters to the buffer zone during navigation, the real-time warning message which commands to raise the body pops up using Matlab menu. While departing or landing, control of the height of the body is possible. At present, the information (x, y, z coordinates) from the GPS is assumed to be input into the system every 92.8 m of horizontal distance while navigating along flight path. DTM of 3" interval has been adopted from that which was provided by ChumSungDae Co., Ltd..
The Strategies of Developing the Korea Planning Support Systems

The Korea Planning Support Systems (KOPSS) represent Korean style national policy and planning support systems using the GIS-based spatial analysis methods. The KOPSS refers to a kind of the spatial decision support systems (SDSS) or the planning support systems (PSS) for stakeholders' spatial decision-making. The KOPSS uses the existing individual databases obtained from the Architecture Information Systems (AIS) and Land Management Information Systems (LMIS) that have been constructed by information projects since the mid 1990s. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the development strategies and establish the theoretical frameworks of the KOPSS by considering the comprehensive basic composites of the GIS-based SDSS or PSS. For this, it deals with the basic concepts, the development strategies, the base environment strategies, and the promotion strategies of the KOPSS.
Vector Map Data Watermarking Method using Binary Notation

As the growth of performance of the computer and the development of the Internet are exponential, sharing and using the information illegally have also increased to the same proportion. In this paper, we proposed a novel method on the vector map data among digital contents. Vector map data are used for GIS, navigation and web-based services etc. We embedded watermark into the coordinate of the vector map data using bit operation and extracted the watermark. This method helps to protect the copyright of the vector map data. This watermarking method is a spatial domain method and it embeds the watermark within an allowable error. Our experiment shows that the watermark produced by this method is resistant to simplification and translation.
2D Flood Simulation for Estimating the Economic Loss in the Building Areas

2D hydraulic models of urban areas are at the forefront of current research of flood inundation mechanisms, but they are constrained by inadequate parameters of topography and insufficient data. In this paper a numerical model based on DEMs is presented to represent overflow waters due to bank break in urban areas. The surface flow in the building areas is assumed to be properly modeled by solving Saint-Venant equation. In order to represent flooding broken out in Samcheok city, 2002, hydraulic model test using tracer has been carried out and validated. These efforts will serve for making flood hazard map and for estimating economic loss due to inundation of personal properties in urban areas.
