Development of Green Template for Building Life Cycle Assessment Using BIM

The purpose of this study is to develope BIM Template according to major building material for efficiently and quantitatively evaluating greenhouse gas emission at the design stage. Template users consider various environmental impacts without connecting simulation tools for analyzing environmental impact and Template users who have no prior knowledge can Life Cycle Assessment by using The green template. For this study, Database which was reflected in template was constructed considering environmental performance. and 6 kinds of environmental impact categories and PPS standard construction codes were analyzed by major building material derived from literature. Based on this analyzed data, The major Material Family according to the main building material was developed. When users conduct modeling by utilizing Family established, evaluating result can be confirmed in the Revit BIM Modeling program by using the schedule function of the Revit. Users through the modeling, the decision-making environment performance possible. In addition, we propose to create a guideline for the steps required to build an additional established family.
Visualization of Geo-spatial Data and Public Data Using Mobile Operating Environment in the eGovernment Standard Framework

Recently new web trends and mobile technologies are expanding and developing so fast. To improve the implementation efficiency of information systems, eGovernment standard framework has been developed and distributed. Recently, eGovernment standard framework for mobile environment was further developed. In addition, many types of public data produced by public organizations supported by government are being opened through public data portal according to Government 3.0 policy. Demands regarding web standards and common framework usages for mobile application development in most business fields dealing with any types of contents are increasing. However, to link those things to geo-spatial data or integrate those with them are an early stage in the geo-spatial application field, compared to other application fields. Based on these backgrounds, a mobile web application system was designed and implemented to present visualization functionalities of public data and geo-spatial data using HTML5 components under mobile operation environment in eGovernment standard framework in this study. It is expected that this system can be applied to develop many mobile application business models, by the further works such as application of core developing environment in eGovernment standard framework, additional functionalities, and high performance to satisfy with user requirements for a certain target application.
Design of Web-GIS based SWG Simulator for Disseminating Integrated Water Information

Due to the global warming and unstable abnormal climate changes, water resources differences between regions and water shortage are occurring. Therefore, the water resources management is becoming more important for the stable securement of future water supply and demand. Researches on Smart Water Grid (SWG), which is considered as a new method, that can stably secure and maintain the water resources, are actively being conducted but it is still in infancy. Thus, this study aimed to design SWG simulator based on GIS in order to provide integrated water information in web environment. The user's requirements were analyzed for system development and important functions such as SWG current situation checking, future prediction, filtration plant situation checking functions were designed and data expression techniques using GIS and HTML5 were applied to enhance the understanding of the users. Also, when the emergency situations occurred, the solving process of the situations are reproduced to check the solution process using scenario reproduction functions. Use-case, class, sequence diagram, which are a design for real system development and defines the system usage contents of users, were written, and the story board was written to check the final development contents. This study designed a SWG simulator in order to support the water maintenance reacting to climate changes. The development of system is expected to help securing information to deal with emergency situations such as water shortage and help the decision maker to make decision through reproduction of scenario. The major functions were designed for the convenience of water resource manager and producer but new contents for consumers must be developed to enable duplex information transmission.
Analysis of the Land Pollution Area Using Land Category Information

Recently, land pollution makes various environment problems according to existing land use. So, there is an urgent need for management about these problems. This study categorize land pollution area using the land category information according to main land usage for reasonable analysis of land pollution area by point and non-point pollution sources. And also there was able to collect land pollution sources information efficiently by analysing the land category information. The land use information that categorized important factor for management and land pollution survey will be utilized Soil environment management and preservation. And land use information will be used land use regulation, resonable preservation and management.
A Study on Light-weight Algorithm of Large scale BIM data for Visualization on Web based GIS Platform

BIM Technology contains data from the life cycle of facility through 3D modeling. For these, one building products the huge file because of massive data. One of them is IFC which is the standard format, and there are issues that large scale data processing based on geometry and property information of object. It increases the rendering speed and constitutes the graphic card, so large scale data is inefficient for screen visualization to user. The light weighting of large scale BIM data has to solve for process and quality of program essentially. This paper has been searched and confirmed about light weight techniques from domestic and abroad researches. To control and visualize the large scale BIM data effectively, we proposed and verified the technique which is able to optimize the BIM character. For operating the large scale data of facility on web based GIS platform, the quality of screen switch from user phase and the effective memory operation were secured.
Generation of Indoor Network by Crowdsourcing

Due to high density of population and progress of high building construction technologies, the number of high buildings has been increasing. Several information services have been provided to figure out complex indoor structures of building such as indoor navigations and indoor map services. The most fundamental information for these services are indoor network information. Indoor network in building provides topological connectivity between spaces unlike geometric information of buildings. In order to make indoor network information, we have to edit network manually or derive network properties based on the geometric data of buildings. This process is not easy for complex buildings. In this paper, we suggest a method to generate indoor network automatically based on crowdsourcing. From the collected individual trajectories, we derive indoor network information with crowdsourcing. We validate our method with a sample set of trajectory data and the result shows that our method is practical if the indoor positioning technology is reasonably accurate.
Parcel Boundary Demarcation in Residential Area Using High Resolution Aerial Images

As part of an effort to leap smart cadastre system by doing rearrangement of various mismatches in the land register, the cadastre renovation project is being recently conducted. In response to this demand, this paper proposes an image-based rapid parcel boundary demarcation plan using the high resolution aerial image with a GSD (Ground Sample Distance) of 5cm that matches to real ground boundary situation in residential area. To review the feasibility and accuracy of this proposed methodology, we compared the accuracy of parcel boundary point and parcel area extracted from the digital stereo plotting on the basis of results of cadastral boundary surveying and land register over the selected two test areas. The comparative accuracy result of all boundary points by digital stereo plotting is satisfied with accuracy requirement according to the criteria of the enforcement regulation of cadastral surveying, whereas it exceeded allowable error of
, more strictly specified in the Special Act on Cadastral Renovation. And about 20% of the total 70 parcels extracted by digital plotting are out of area tolerance in Jecheon study area, and 10% of the total 19 parcels in Suwon study area. The parcels exceeding accuracy limit are mostly due to the occlusion caused by building roof or eaves, and the obstacles such as trees existing on the boundary. Furthermore, an object identification is impossible in image because of vague boundary reference in case of nonexistence of man-made structures or natural features. Therefore, the utilization of boundary identification stickers is recommended as a solution for these types of land parcel.
Global Research Trends on Geospatial Information by Keyword Network Analysis

The aim of this study is to examine the research trends of global scientific production of Geospatial Information (GI) papers from 1998 to 2013 by using keyword network analysis. This study constructed keyword network model through papers and keywords related to GI research retrieved from the Web of Science DB and performed keyword network analysis such as Degree Centrality, Betweenness Centrality, and Closeness Centrality. The results show that GI has been steadily applied to various fields, and also the research trends of GI techniques could be quantitatively characterized through keyword network analysis. This study result can be applied to establish the policies and the national R&D planning of geospatial information.
